This IS Too Funny, NYT HATES It

Hey folks,

Just a quicky. I just find this too funny. You know there is a lot of news and talk about Speaker Pelosi, the Democrats taking over, a possible new direction in Iraq, and the country. But what a lot of the LWL, MMD, and talking heads seem to have forgotten is, GEORGE W BUSH is STILL President. Still Commander and Chief.

This means that he is STILL the most powerful man in the world. Has Veto power, and is STILL the final say in all matters. They ABSOLUTELY hate it. {Laughing}

Want proof?

"WASHINGTON, Jan. 3 — In an article published on a friendly op-ed page, and from the regal confines of the White House, President Bush greeted the incoming Democratic leadership of Congress on Wednesday with a message of bipartisanship.

But he also sent another message: I’m still the guy with the big plane, the big office (the oval one) and the presidential seal."

{Laughing hard} Look at the wording here. It’s true, and I could actually hear President Bush say this exact phrase, "I’m still the guy with the big plane, the big office (the oval one) and the presidential seal." But them using this working shows that they are not happy with this fact. Then the NYCrimes said,

"The war in Iraq? "We now have the opportunity to build a bipartisan consensus to fight and win the war," he wrote. In other words, we’re staying.

That new Democratic majority? It isn’t really so big.

STOP. Hold on a sec. Notice this? They are quoting the President. But NOTICE that after "he wrote" there are NO quotation marks but they blend it in to seem like they are still quoting him when they write "In other words, we’re staying. That new Democratic majority? It isn’t really so big." He never said that. Continue,,,

"The minority party, especially where the margins are close," Mr. Bush wrote, "has a strong say in the form bills take." And the president, he added — lest anyone forget — has the constitutional authority "to use his judgment whether they should be signed into law."

Several Democrats said Mr. Bush’s words on Wednesday had raised questions about what kind of president would show up when they get down to the business of governing side by side."

STOP!!!! {Laughing again} "Several Democrats said Mr. Bush’s words on Wednesday had raised questions about what kind of president would show up when they get down to the business of governing side by side?" OK. Like Speaker Pelosi shutting out the Republicans for the first 100 hours? "What kind of President will Show up?" News flash.... Same guy. The same one that will attempt to work together with the Dems, but will never be a yes President. He will continue to be who he is, and continue to do what he feels is best for the country. It really doesn’t matter if you like it or not.

"Democrats were moving quickly to hold the administration accountable, in their view, for its mistakes, promising to hold as many as a dozen oversight hearings on the war alone in the next few weeks."

I told you so {Smile} October 7, 2006,

"Yes she will do ALL this in the first 100 hours. Then they will cut funding in Iraq, "Cut and run", raise taxes, destroy the economy by doing this, destroy YOUR safety and security. Give Amnesty to million of illegals, pass the "fairness act" to attempt to silence their critics, and of course, spent the rest of the time ceasing the government with investigation after investigation, in the attempt to get BUSH."

I keep saying I hope I’m wrong. But so far??
Peter
