Even More Nuts, Now Extortion and Blackmail?

Hey folks,

Happy Monday to you. This is really getting pretty pathetic to watch. The LWL is getting desperate. They know that they cannot win. They know that there is a growing movement of people that see them as Traitors. They know that there is a growing number of people that are starting to believe the truth. The surge is working, and therefore in essence we are winning. I keep telling you, they CANNOT have that. They will not survive politically if we win. They have invested ALL they have in defeat.

The Bill will be vetoed. Quietly they have started to work with Republicans to try to write a new one the will be signed by the President. But that is not good enough for some of the true Looneys. They still want to attempt to force the President to listen to their treasonous actions.

According to AFP -US Democrats raise prospect of Bush's impeachment over Iraq, by Maxim Kniazkov.

A top US congressional Democrat has raised the possibility of George W. Bush's impeachment in a bid to force the president to accept a compromise that would place conditions on continued US military involvement in Iraq.

Representative John Murtha, who chairs the House Subcommittee on Defense and is close to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, made the comment Sunday in response to repeated threats by the president to veto legislation that calls for withdrawal of US troops from Iraq by the end of next March.

"There's three ways or four ways to influence a president," Murtha said on CBS's "Face the Nation" program. "One is popular opinion, the election, third is impeachment and fourth is the purse."

Asked specifically if Democrats, who now control the US Congress, were seriously contemplating the impeachment option, the congressman responded: "What I'm saying, there's four ways to influence a president ... And one of them's impeachment."

OK, first, it is NOT "Democrats." It is ONE democrat, that is Murtha. Two, it will never happen. They do not have the votes to do it. All this is, is more rhetoric in a desperate attempt to drum up their Looney base. The desperation of this statement is hard to watch.

They really are so puerile that they are waiting until Tuesday to give him the surrender bill for him to veto. {Laughing} They really are sad. That is the anniversary of President Bush stating "Mission Accomplished." They feel that this is, somehow, a symbol or a point, or, whatever. It’s pointless and sad. Meanwhile our troops are left hung out to dry by the Democrats.

The movement is growing, they are sowing the seeds. They are getting desperate. Just remember, the more desperate they get, the better the news is in Iraq. Will they ever go so far as to completely cut off funding for the war? If desperate enough? Who knows. But if they come out and do it, they are to BLAME for any further attacks on us. The soldiers that have lost their lives up until now, would be made meaningless. We as a country will be more vulnerable than anytime in history. It would be THEIR FAULT. If they ever got brave enough to do it, they would no longer be able to blame the President. So, no, I doubt they will.

IWA for Sunday, 042907

Hey folks,

It’s Sunday, TIME for the IWA. I LOVE this piece in the Washington Post "Celebritology" by Liz Kelly, Friday List: Rosie's Replacement?

A "View" without Rosie O'Donnell is like a hot dog without mustard. Hmm. Or perhaps, it's like Pam Anderson without implants. No, that's not quite right either. I've got it: "The View" without Rosie O'Donnell is like a sedate, estrogen-dominated yawnfest without a perky lesbian known for speaking her mind. In other words, it's about to get boring again.

{Laughing hard} Yes, she cites failed contract negotiations. Translation, Barbara said, "Rosie, shut the hell up." Rosie said "No" "I make your show." Probably right about that.

Barbara Walters struck an appropriately wistful tone, saying she felt bad for dragging O'Donnell back to TV in the first place. Joy Behar stuck with her well-worn post-menopausal arch pose, wondering how Donald Trump would get any press without Rosie around to kick. And Elizabeth Hasselbeck, who over the eight months she's sat across from O'Donnell has become something of a right-wing nemesis, managed to look smug, triumphant and radioactive orange (no doubt, thanks to a recent fake bake) all at once.

Today, though, we apply ourselves to the task of virtual talent scouting. Barbara Walters will no doubt be relieved when, by the end of the day, we are able to deliver to her a comprehensive list of potential replacements for Rosie.

No one is off limits. The only requirement is that our replacements return a sense of balance to the table while goosing the format a bit. Without O'Donnell and Star Jones Reynolds (who still hasn't been replaced, either), the show is in grave danger of veering into irrelevancy (again).

It goes on to say who Liz {Writer of the piece} suggests to fill the position. I have to agree with her, that this show is not only holding on by a thread, but if Barbra is not careful, all the work she did, over all the years she did it, she could very well be remembered for hiring Rosie for the view.

Barbara, what did you expect to get. You hired a ignorant pig, you GOT an ignorant pig. I bet you really do feel "bad for dragging O'Donnell back to TV in the first place." especially your show.

Congratulation Mrs. Walters, for not thinking this one out in the beginning, putting up with it for so long, and allowing it to seem that you were not only condoning Rosie’s insanity, but encouraging it for ratings sake, you ARE the Idiot of the Week. But look at the bright side. It’s almost over.

H.S. Bird Flu War Games

Hey folks,

More good news on the Bird Flu front. It seems we are starting to take it a little more seriously here in this counrty. According to Reuters -U.S. health agency stages bird flu war game, by Matthew Biggs

A leading U.S. health agency staged a war game this week to test its response to one of the worst health emergencies it could imagine -- an outbreak of avian flu on American soil.

The exercise, which ended on Friday, was designed to simulate how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would marshal its resources, coordinate with other branches of government and, crucially, reassure the public while preparing it for a possible pandemic.

"If we were at the beginning of a pandemic this is exactly what it would look like," said CDC Director Julie Gerberding at a news conference early in the 48-hour drill, which involved hundreds of officials.

If things turn out wrong it could lead to a "catastrophe beyond our planning," she said.

This is interesting,

In the script, a student infected with a new strain of H5N1 virus returns from Indonesia where a bird flu outbreak is under way. He dies but not before infecting others including members of a swimming team.

On Day One, 12 people contract the disease in four states and 25 percent die, a rate that shows the virus to be particularly lethal.

By Day Two, there are 25 cases and CDC is forced to consider whether to recommend ordering schools to close, banning flights from Indonesia or even shutting U.S. borders.

They decide against these measures but send experts to Indonesia, release a quarter of the U.S. stockpile of flu vaccines and force all international flights to land at just 10 airports to screen passengers and limit the disease's spread.

Health experts say that in real life it's just a matter of time before a global flu pandemic strikes. The 1918 pandemic killed up to 100 million people -- 650,000 in the United States -- and there have been two subsequent less-severe pandemics.

Some of you are still questioning why I am on this Bird Flu crusade. Does this answer your question a little better? It goes on to say.

In calculating whether to close the border, for example, there are hundreds of studies on the movement of pathogens, the impact of public health decisions on the economy and the potential social and political repercussions.

"What we do (in the exercise) is tailor our thoughts over the last few years to the specific scenario that is playing out. These are the facts on the ground: do our theoretical constructs hold," said Martin Cetron, CDC director of the division of global migration and quarantine.

Another consideration was whether to adopt a "containment" model, by trying to stop the virus' spread, or a "mitigation" model, by taking steps such as closing schools to lessen its impact once it can pass freely from person to person, he said.

If they overreact, it could stifle the economy and cause a host of unintended consequences. If they do too little they could fail to impede the spread of the disease.

So will the United States be safer? The exercise is part of a long-term plan involving multiple layers of government to prepare for public emergencies. The game, set up by a team of former military planners, is followed by an extensive effort to analyze mistakes.

"Doctrine number one is that we are learning, so we expect to make mistakes ... We expect to own the mistakes that we make .... We are a great agency but we are not perfect," Gerberding told a staff briefing at the outset of the drill.

But in an ominous note, the next stage of the exercise to be held over the summer will start with the assumption that the bird flu outbreak has become a full blown pandemic.

That one should be very interesting to watch.

I understand that we live in a country where we have all the comforts of, well, anything. We live in our happy homes, drive our happy cars, and live our lives without a single solitary thought, that anything bad could ever happen here. This goes for things like the war, even though 9-11 DID happen here, and for things like this. But evil things are out there, and as much as we try to delude ourselves, yes, then CAN happen here. I’m glad to see that we are actually starting to prepare for the possibility.

The Democratic Quandary

Hey folks,

The Democrats have a problem. Well, they have a lot of problems letting the LWL run the show. They continue to play politics with the troops lives. I said that long before others started. More and more people are starting to realize this. This surrender Bill, that they will be childish enough to wait until Tuesday to give the President to veto, because they are childish, was meant to send a message. Well, it did. It send a message to the enemy that if they have their way, we surrender. It send a message to the troops fighting this war, "Screw You." It also sent a message to the American people. They got it LOUD and CLEAR.

So what to do now? Now they have to attempt to backpedal. Now they have to get the funds to the troops, or they KNOW that they are doomed in 08. So how do they do this? Work together with the Republicans. You know, what they SHOULD have done in the first place. According to AP -Dems in talks with GOP on new Iraq bill, by JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS.

Democratic leaders are turning to Republicans to help them pass a new Iraq war spending bill that President Bush won't veto — unlike the one Congress will send him next week with a timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops.

OH? Work together to get things done in congress. Imagine that.

Democrats were already looking for ways to draw Republican support for a new spending measure, knowing they would need GOP votes to pass any bill that Bush would sign. However, a move to water down the withdrawal language is virtually certain to cost them the votes of liberal Democrats who have been uneasy about supporting any war funding.

{Laughing} Translation time folks. If they want to pass a Bill the President will sign, they cannot have a surrender clause in it. They cannot have a timetable of withdraw. HOWEVER, if they do not have that, they may not get the LWL {Left Wing Looney} votes.

"There's been talking behind the scenes about how to do this, because they know if they make substantial changes to the bill they will lose a series of Democrats," said Rep. Michael Castle R-Del, a leading moderate. "They understand that they're going to need a solution that goes beyond their own membership and there are a number of Republicans who want to get this behind them, too."

Then you have MORE bad news for the LWL. According to Reuters -U.S. announces capture of senior al Qaeda member, by Kristin Roberts and David Morgan.

An Iraqi from al Qaeda's top leadership in South Asia has been captured trying to enter Iraq and turned over to the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo, U.S. officials said on Friday.

Abd al-Hadi al-Iraqi was described by defense and intelligence officials as an al Qaeda operations chief who oversaw assassination plots against Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and commanded al Qaeda paramilitary operations against U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

He was Iraqi? Imagine that also.

"This guy was a veteran jihadist whose capture is a significant victory in the fight against terror. Getting him off the street is good news," CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano said.

How is this surrender Bill / Veto, playing out in Iraq? According to the AP -Sunnis, Shiites split on U.S. troop bill, by SAMEER N. YACOUB

Many Sunnis on Friday welcomed a U.S. congressional push to begin withdrawing U.S. troops by Oct. 1, but one Shiite grocery store owner expressed fear the move would "leave Iraq in the hands of al-Qaida."

It would. Along with Little Hitler and Iran invading it.

Iraqis appeared divided along sectarian lines over Thursday's Senate approval of House-passed legislation calling for U.S. troops to begin leaving Iraq by Oct. 1. President Bush pledged to veto the measure and neither body passed the measure with enough votes to override him.

Comments from the street.

"I think that yesterday's vote and the threats by Bush to use the veto are nothing but political games played in Washington and we have been paying the price for these games since 2003. In fact, I see no U.S. withdrawal on the horizon," Assad Yassin said.

Kamil Nassir, a 40-year-old Shiite who owns a grocery store in Baghdad, agreed and said he was hopeful it would be stopped.

"I do not think that the United States that has sacrificed thousands of soldiers and hundreds of billions of dollars is ready to leave Iraq," he said. "Whether Democrats or Republicans, the U.S. politicians are not ready to leave Iraq in the hands of al-Qaida. U.S. withdrawal will mean victory to al-Qaida and more problems for the Americans."

AMEN! This is a grocery store owner in Baghdad. He KNOWS the truth. To bad the Traitors in power do not.

"This is a wrong move by the Democrats," said Muhei Hadi, Shiite municipal counselor in Baghdad. "The U.S. forces must stay in Iraq until Iraqi forces are really qualified to face terrorists. I hope that Bush will use his veto."

In Basra, Shiite police Col. Karim Sadkhan said he believes a quick U.S. military withdrawal "will encourage the terrorists to wage more attacks and killings."

These are people IN the country we are fighting in. These are people on the front lines. Yes of course some want us out. Those that want the country taken over. But the majority KNOW what will happen if we surrender.

The Democrats have a Quandary. How can they continue their quest for tyranny, and yet make you think they are on our side.

OK This is Just Sick

Hey folks,

I’m sorry, but this is just sick to me. It makes no sense that I can see, and just simply further damages the minds and heart of those that survived this horrific day.

OK, you have a school. You have kids going to the school to get an education, have fun with friends, pretty much, just live their lives. Also in that school you have a psychopath. The signs were there, yet noone did anything about it. There were complaints made by female students, yet noone did anything about it. Then the psychopath snaps, plans, prepares, and perpetrated his delusional quest at immorality by taking the lives of 32 innocent kids.

The school failed to lock down to try to save more lives. The police respond, the psychopath kills himself. The media moves in. For over a week the media flooded the minds of the population with images and words from the school and stuck cameras in the faces of the kids that watched their friends die. The kids that feared for their lives. After the first week I said it was time for them to leave to let these kids heal. The school said the same thing on the same day. To their credit, some did.

So let’s recap. School, kids, psychopath, 32 kids dead, psychopath dead, some kids scared for life. So what is there to investigate? Other than to see why the school did not handle this correctly, and to look at how to handle campus security better, NOTHING. There is nothing to investigate. But that is not what is happening here. Get this. MSNBC / AP-Va. Tech students get questionnaires about Cho

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Stumped in their search for a motive, authorities at Virginia Tech have sent out a questionnaire asking students for any information they may have about gunman Seung-Hui Cho and his first victim.

A copy of the questionnaire obtained by The Associated Press asks students in the dorm where the rampage began if they had any interaction with Cho and whether they knew freshman Emily Hilscher, who was killed along with senior Ryan Clark in West Ambler Johnston Hall.

OK here is the questionnaire

The questionnaire asks students six questions:

Briefly describe your activities in and around Ambler Johnston Hall between the night of April 15 and April 16. Please include times.

Have you seen any suspicious activity in or surrounding Ambler Johnston Hall that might pertain to the events of April 16? If so, please describe.

Did you know Emily Hilscher? If you did, please describe the nature of your relationship.

Have you ever seen Seung-Hui Cho in or surrounding Ambler Johnston Hall? If so, please
describe.

Did you know or have any interactions with Seung-Hui Cho? If so, please describe.

Please provide any other additional information that may be helpful to the investigation.

I’m sorry folks, but this is just plain and simply sick to me. Questions like "Did you know Emily Hilscher? If you did, please describe the nature of your relationship."" What are they suppose to say? "Well yes, she was my best friend, we planned on going to the mall later until I watched her get BLOWN AWAY!"

"THANK YOU SO MUCH for bring me back to that day." Sick folks.

WHAT is there to investigate. Of what real importance is there in finding a motive. Thankfully, he is dead. There is no trial for him. There is no attempt at conviction. He is DEAD. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. Maybe I’m way off base on this one. But shouldn’t we just let those that may need to get help, get it. Maybe we should just let them heal? It was a day that will live in their minds for the rest of their lives. It was a day that scared some for life. I was a horrible day. What is the point? Do we really need to know a motive that badly? He sent a video. He put it in writing. He is dead. Why can we not just leave these kids alone?

The Movement Is Growing

Hey folks,

It seems the movement is growing. More and more people are starting to get more and more serious in dealing with Traitor Reid. No I haven’t heard from the White House yet, if ever, but I have noticed a lot more people calling Reid to step down or be removed. You heard it here first folks. I told you what would happen if they take over. I warned you that the Democrat party was completely taken over by the LWL {Left Wing Looney fringe} I started to tell you that they were walking a very thin line between practicing their freedom of speech and Treason. I told you when they crossed that line. I have been saying now for a while that Reid and Pelosi are committing treason and need to step down or be dealt with for what they are. Now?

On the Senate floor, Senator Lieberman gave a great speech pointing out the idiocies of Traitor Reid. Way to go Joe. A Republican Senator started calling for Reid to resign. The Washington Post has this opinion piece by David Broder.

Here's a Washington political riddle where you fill in the blanks: As Alberto Gonzales is to the Republicans, Blank Blank is to the Democrats -- a continuing embarrassment thanks to his amateurish performance.

If you answered Harry Reid, give yourself an A. And join the long list of senators of both parties who are ready for these two springtime exhibitions of ineptitude to end.

He pointed out.

On "Fox News Sunday," Schumer offered this clarification of Reid's off-the-cuff comment. "What Harry Reid is saying is that this war is lost -- in other words, a war where we mainly spend our time policing a civil war between Shiites and Sunnis. We are not going to solve that problem. . . . The war is not lost. And Harry Reid believes this -- we Democrats believe it. . . . So the bottom line is if the war continues on this path, if we continue to try to police and settle a civil war that's been going on for hundreds of years in Iraq, we can't win. But on the other hand, if we change the mission and have that mission focus on the more narrow goal of counterterrorism, we sure can win."

Everyone got that? This war is lost. But the war can be won. Not since Bill Clinton famously pondered the meaning of the word "is" has a Democratic leader confused things as much as Harry Reid did with his inept discussion of the alternatives in Iraq.

Now many more people are coming out and getting brave enough to say what needs to be said. I want to share this with you folks. This is from Family Security Foundation, by Pamela Meister.

Traitor, n. One who betrays one’s country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason.

Last week, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid confirmed what many Americans have suspected for some time now: that the Democrat Party is not only weak on defense, but weak on national pride.

Reid stated that, "I believe myself that the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense and - you have to make your own decisions as to what the President knows - (know) this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday."

Reid’s fellow Democrats were curiously silent regarding this proclamation from on high, except for florid Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy, who came to Reid’s defense. "Who are we surrendering to? This is an unconventional war and it has to be dealt with in unconventional ways. ... What is failure is this bankrupt policy, this ineffective no-win policy of the administration."

As a result of the backlash by the White House and Republicans, Reid tried to backpedal, saying he meant that we would lose only if we continue to follow the "president’s path." But it’s not so easy to fool the people in this age of instant communication and new media. Reid cooked his own goose by saying exactly what he meant.

Meanwhile, despite their constant carping and criticizing of the progress in Iraq, it seems that Democrat leaders are more interested in dishing dirt than getting the real scoop on what’s happening. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (who recently traveled to Syria against the wishes of the White House) and other top House Democrats passed on attending a bipartisan video briefing on Iraq by General David Petraeus back in March, as did Senate Democrats. The only exception was Michigan Sen. Carl Levin, whose voice has been one of the only ones on the left saying that the funding rug should not be pulled out from under our troops.

With friends like this, who needs enemies?

One of the few constant voices of reason on the left has been that of Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut. Targeted by far-left bloggers and 527 groups during the 2006 election because of his unwavering support of our mission in Iraq and the war against Islamofascism, Lieberman lost the primary to newcomer Ned Lamont, only to win the general election by a large margin as an independent. (Hint to would-be candidates: elections are rarely won on one-issue platforms, especially against popular incumbents.) Lieberman, who still officially caucuses with Democrats on many issues, was quick to take Harry Reid to task over his treasonous "the war is lost" comments.

"With all due respect, I strongly disagree. Senator Reid’s statement is not based on military facts on the ground in Iraq and does not advance our cause there. Al Qaeda’s strategy for victory in Iraq is clear. They are trying to murder as many innocent civilians as possible in an effort to re-ignite sectarian fighting and drive us to retreat from Iraq. The question now before us is whether we respond to these terrorist attacks by running away as Al Qaeda hopes - abandoning the future of Iraq, the Middle East, and ultimately our own security to the very same people responsible for this week’s atrocities - or whether we stand united to fight them. This is exactly the wrong time to conclude that we have lost the war in Iraq, or that our new strategy has failed. Instead, we should provide General Petraeus and his troops with the time and the resources to succeed. We should not surrender in the face of barbarism."

We live in interesting times when Democrats embrace not those who would have us win armed conflicts against brutal enemies, but those who would rather we tuck our tails and run at the first opportunity in the name of political expediency. During last year’s campaign, Lieberman was dropped like a hot potato by his Democrat colleagues. One of those who turned on Lieberman was fellow Connecticut senator Chris Dodd, who is now a candidate for president. It wasn’t until he won re-election as an independent (thus making his vote important in a slim majority situation) that Democrats again began to speak of Lieberman as a friend and associate. The term "fair weather friends" certainly takes on new meaning in Washington D.C.

Like President Bush, Lieberman has never faltered in his belief that a strong offense against Islamofascists is essential for not only America’s survival, but for that of all of Western civilization. He has taken a lot of political heat for it, but refuses to water down his views in order to appease the appeasers on the left. Saying what you mean and standing by it shows true character. Joe Lieberman has it. Harry Reid, who felt he had to "clarify" his remarks last week, does not.

Over the past four years, we have had to listen to many Democrats make unconscionable remarks regarding the war. Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois likened our soldiers to Nazis. Sen. Ted Kennedy said that, under American control, Abu Ghraib represented "Saddam’s torture chambers re-opened under new management – U.S. management." Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania said Marines had "killed innocent civilians in cold blood" in Haditha. He made these atrocious, unfounded statements even before the military could begin conducting an investigation. DNC chairman Howard Dean said the idea that we will win in Iraq is "plain wrong." This continual degrading of our troops by liberal Democrats goes on and on and on. Yet none of these people have truly been taken to task for their remarks. As they pander to the anti-war, far-left wing of their party, Democrats continue on their crash course toward what they hope will be a White House victory in 2008 – long-term consequences be damned.

Former Senate Majority Trent Lott (R-MS) was forced to step down when he made a comment at a birthday party that many interpreted as being racist. Words indeed do have consequences. (Just ask Don Imus.) What of Harry Reid, whose words at a press conference last week were much more serious in that he gave hope and comfort to our enemies? What consequences will he have to face as a result? If the aftermath of Nancy Pelosi’s ill-advised trip to Syria in a foreign policy role is any indication, Reid doesn’t have much to worry about. Smug agreement by his fellow Democrats and a lack of gumption in the Republican Party means that Reid, in spite of declarations that would make even the likes of Benedict Arnold blush, will continue to be in a position to try to make President Bush look like a fool at the expense of our national security. Al Qaeda likely now is planning to simply hold on until America finally tires of war and partisan bickering and pulls the troops out. Then the real blood bath can begin, in Iraq and wherever else these terrorist thugs hold sway.

Harry Reid should be called upon to step down as Senate Majority Leader, before he can do more damage – if that’s even possible. But Reid’s rhetoric, like that of his counterpart in the House, shows that he has no honor. Winning in Washington has blinded them both to winning in Iraq.

Yes folks, the movement is growing. Gaining speed. Gaining power. We cannot stop until the Traitors step down or are removed. If we allow them the freedom they have now, to do ANYTHING without question nor accountability, they can and very well MAY, destroy this country. I warned you about this. Now others are starting to join with my voice. We MUST deal with these Traitors before it is too late.

The Attack Machine, New Target

Hey folks,

Well, the House passed their version, today the Senate will, then perhaps as early as tomorrow, the President will veto it. Maybe we will then get the funding that the troops most definitely need. But then again, you have to think about this. Right now, the LWL {Left Wing Looneys} think that if they just keep dragging this out, they are really not trying to withhold funds, it is the President that is delaying them. Right? WRONG. But this is their way of attempting to say "Hey, if we did not care about the troops we would have just come right out and de-fund the war. We are not doing that. We are doing our part. It is the President that will not approve the funds. Not us." these people are pathetic.

But the attack machine has a new target. Republican Rudolph Giuliani. There is a good reason for this that I will point out in a second. The do not like this guy, and Soros is starting to unleash the drones {Mass Media} against him.

Do I really like Giuliani? Yes. Do I agree with some of his social views. Most definitely NOT. Would I vote for him? To early to tell. But if you look at this and other stories like this, you would think it’s all about this comment. It’s not. But up first, Reuters -Democrats fire back at Giuliani on 9/11 warning

Democratic White House contenders Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton criticized Republican Rudolph Giuliani on Wednesday for suggesting a Democratic president would put the United States at risk of another September 11-type terrorist attack.

The former New York mayor, who leads the 2008 Republican White House race in national polls, said in a speech in New Hampshire on Tuesday night the United States would be safer and fight terrorism more aggressively under a Republican president.

So they are mad at him telling the truth. Nothing he said is NOT true. They are calling for America’s surrender in the middle of a war. Their policies FAILED. Clinton did nothing attack after attack, gave North Korea the means and the fuel to create nuclear weapons, which they did, and "talked to people." This is what they think we should go back to. Since 9-11, NO attacks. And other than some rhetoric, no new nuclear weapons. YET.

A Democratic president, he said, would "wave the white flag on Iraq" and take the United States "back to our pre-September 11 attitude of defense," the Politico.com quoted Giuliani as saying.

While the United States ultimately will prevail in the fight against terror, he said, "the question is how long will it take and how many casualties will we have? If we are on defense, we will have more losses and it will go on longer."

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

Obama and Clinton said Americans had moved beyond Republican rhetoric about September 11.

{Laughing} They want you to FORGET 9-11 happened at all. They really do.

"Rudy Giuliani today has taken the politics of fear to a new low and I believe Americans are ready to reject those kind of politics," Obama, an Illinois senator, said in a statement.

"The threat we face is real, and deserves better than to be the punch line of another political attack," he said.

Clinton, a New York senator, said the last six years of the Bush administration have showed "political rhetoric won't do anything to quell those threats. And that America is ready for a change."

Uh, I repeat, ZERO attacks since.

"We have to protect our country from terrorism -- it shouldn't be a Democratic fight or a Republican fight," she said in a statement.

YOU made it that you twit. You and your party have made it political. You and your party fail to support the troops. You and your party attack the Commander and Chief at all turns in the middle of this war. YOU and your party say the war is lost. YOU have made it a political fight. {Sigh} These people really are either too ignorant of too arrogant to run this country.

But this is not the main reason that the attack machine had set it’s sites on Rudy. Not even is it the fact he leads the Republican wave of candidates. But it is THIS poll, and ones like it, that has gotten their attention. Remember, they LIVE for and even govern by polls. They HAVE to be popular. Rasmussen Reports -Election 2008: Giuliani (R) 46% Obama (D) 43%

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) clinging to a narrow lead over Illinois Senator Barack Obama (news, bio, voting record) (D) in an early 2008 Presidential trial heat. Obama, however, enjoys a ten-point lead over former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson ®.

Giuliani, the GOP frontrunner, leads Obama 46% to 43%. A month ago, Giuliani led the Illinois Senator by just a single point. Back-to-back months in toss-up status represents a significant improvement for Obama--in December he trailed Giuliani by 11.

Since last month, Obama has slightly increased his advantage with women. He now leads by 11 points among that group. But Giuliani's advantage with men has meanwhile increased to 20 points. Obama enjoys a 14-point edge with unaffiliated voters in the current poll, but loses a fourth of Democrats to Giuliani.

"But loses a fourth of Democrats to Giuliani."

That’s NOT good for them. Look for the increase in attacks on Giuliani. Remember. It was the MMD {Mass media Drones} that got the LWL in power. Not they, themselves. They ran on nothing. The MMD are trying it again for 08. Hillary is not even mentioned in this. {Smile}

Yes folks, there is a new target in town. His name is Rudy. I can only hope he doesn’t back down now. This should be interesting to watch.

An Honest Question From a Concerned American

Hey folks,

I said back on the April 20, 2007,

I said this morning as a joke, I was going to buy the President a pen. I’m not kidding anymore. I really am. I’m going to buy a pen and send it to him for all the vetoes he will need to be signing. At the same time, I am starting to formulate a letter to the President, telling him that I and many Americans see the actions of Pelosi and Reid as treasonist, and ask what he plans on doing. Now I do not know if he will answer of even see it, but I’m going to do it anyway. At least he will have a new pen.

Well, here it is.

To: President George W. Bush
From: Peter Carlock
Date: 04-25-07
Subject: Traitors

Mr. President, I am not place in any power or position. I do not head any group or organization. I am just your average Joe American who has become VERY concerned as of late. I’m writing you, The President of the United States, to ask a simple question.

First Mr. President, I want to say that I feel you have been doing the best you can. I want to say that I admire your dedication to and for the American people. Regardless of what the Mass Media Drones are saying, or the Left in office for that matter, I do NOT want to lose the war. I do NOT want our troops that have paid the ultimate price for MY, and their, freedoms to be rendered pointless by a premature withdraw. I do NOT want to allow others in our Government to continue to commit treason.

The very definition of a Traitor is this.

One who violates his allegiance and betrays his country; one guilty of treason; one who, in breach of trust, delivers his country to an enemy, or yields up any fort or place intrusted to his defense, or surrenders an army or body of troops to the enemy unless when vanquished; also one who takes arms levies war against his own country; or anyone who aids the enemy in conquering his own country.

As you can see Mr. President, we have two main offenders that fit this very definition. That would be Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. From traveling the globe to meet with our enemies in DIRECT contradiction to a request by your office not to do so, to actually PROMISING the enemy they will win. Telling them to be patient and even given them a date as to when they will win. Telling the world, we lost the war. To attempting to create their OWN foreign policy in a time of war.

Mr. President, I admire your steadfastness in the war on terror. I understand why we are fighting them there. I’m simply asking you to be the man I know you are, and stop this war at home. I know there are Constitutional ways to deal with Traitors here in this country. I, and many Americans are getting tired of these two individuals continuously doing, and attempting to do these things that are NOT Constitutionally allowed for them to do. I, and many other Americans are getting tire of NOONE, Republican, Independent, nor Democrat, having the moral fortitude to stand up and say enough is enough Is noone in Government brave enough to stand up against these two that are on a quest for tyranny?

My question to you Mr. President, is when are you going to take the lead? When are you, Mr. President, going to call these people what they are? When is ANYONE in Government going to deal with this situation?

I have a Son. I want him to grow up in the same country I did. With all the hopes and dreams I still have. I want my Son to grow up in a country where speech is protected, and the only limitations in his life are those of his own mind. I want him to grow up free. Carefree. No worries that an enemy could come at any second and blow him off the earth. I want him to know that our Government is there to protect him. Keep him safe. I want him to know that the Leader of the Free world is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that.

I fear that I cannot say that right now. Not with two traitors running two of the three branches of Government. Not when I know they have invested all they have in their own country’s defeat, at the hand of an enemy that wants us dead, just because we breath. I cannot say that while these people continue to sacrificed all things, including our troops, and the very country they were elected to take charge of, due to a completely bind hatred and quest to destroy their own country’s Leader.

Mr. President, I and many other Americans are EXTREMELY concerned. I ask you, what are your thoughts? When will someone do what needs to be done?

Sincerely,
Peter Carlock

The only alteration is the fact that here, I deleted my full address and private phone number, for obvious reasons. The was Emailed tonight and I received the standard, "we got it" from the White House. But I will also be mailing it regular mail, complete with the pen. Now as I said, I do not know if he will answer of even see it, but I did what I said I was going to do. If he, or someone from his office does respond, I will let you know.

See you all in the AM.
Peter
Fists Are Flying, More Idiotic Statements From the Traitors

Hey folks,

Happy hump day to you all. Looks like we are drawing yet another day closer to the showdown, as the press is calling it. There really is no showdown. The Traitors Reid and Pelosi wrote an idiotic Bill, the president will veto it. But it is still amazing to watch these statements, one after another, coming out of the LWL camp to try to justify their complete incompetence. I will post two of these statements as this article unfolds. They pretty much speak for themselves.

First up, USA Today -Cheney, Reid spar over Iraq funding, by David Jackson reported this.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Cheney and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid exchanged a new round of sharp comments Tuesday over funding of U.S. troops in Iraq, as President Bush again threatened to veto any bill that includes "arbitrary" timetables for withdrawal.

Reid, D-Nev., on Monday said the war in Iraq is "lost," and likened Bush to President Lyndon Johnson. Reid said Johnson ordered troop escalations in Vietnam in an attempt "to save his political legacy" only to watch U.S. casualties climb steadily.

That led to a strong response Tuesday from Cheney. "What's most troubling about Senator Reid's comment yesterday is its defeatism," Cheney said after meeting with Republican leaders at the Capitol.

Reid responded by calling Cheney the president's "attack dog," and again urging Bush to sign the funding bill.

"The president is in a state of denial. We believe the troops should get every penny they need, and we have put our money where our mouth is with the supplemental appropriations bill," Reid said.

"This is a good piece of legislation. I would hope the president would stop being so brusque and not wave it off."

YOU LOSE SIR! You are not going to win this. As I stated yesterday. They wrote this Bill KNOWING it would be vetoed. They are playing politics with the soldiers lives. They WANT the President to veto it because they, as stupid as they are, think that they can use that to say the President is to blame. NO. Not true. If they did not put the surrender part in it, it would be signed. It IS their fault. Of course they say otherwise. They REALLY think they are more important then the President. It is amazing to watch the complete ignorance of these people.

After the Vice President made these remarks, Jim Manley, Spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, released the following statement.

Vice President Cheney should be the last person to lecture anyone on how leaders should make decisions.

Leaders should make decisions based on facts and reality, two words that seem to be foreign to the Vice President.

This is the same guy who said Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and that we would be greeted as liberators. And it's the same guy who continues to assert that Saddam Hussein had links to al Qaeda long after our own intelligence agency conclusively refuted this notion. To suggest he lacks credibility would be an understatement.

The Vice President's and others' attacks on those who disagree with their failed policies are signs of desperation. They are lashing out because they know the days are numbered for their failed strategy and that the American people and a bipartisan majority are determined to force this Administration to change course in Iraq.

Agin folks, there is some much wrong with this, as with ANY statement released by the Left Wing Looneys, I could take up the next two hours talking about it. But, uh, Traitor Reid? You said, "facts and reality?" You are the one lying to the American people. You will not even meet with the man on the front lines. Coward. Then he said, never mind. There were weapons found. There was most DEFINITELY a link. You are the one Traitor Reid, that have loss all credibility. As for days being numbered? Your’s should be.

Then you have this statement by Traitor Pelosi.

"It was with great pride that we presented to our Caucus today the conference report that was reported out of the Appropriations Committee last night. Chairman Obey has received a great response from our colleagues because they appreciate what he did.

Our bill is grounded in the realities in the war in Iraq, recognizes the strain that this war is placing on our military, recognizes the urgency to hold the Iraqi government accountable, and honors our commitment to our veterans, instead of the failure to meet those commitments that exists now."

It does NOT deal in reality. If it did, it would say we are winning. It doesn’t. She goes on.

"The response that the president gave this morning when he heard of the bill was the response of a president whose administration is in disarray.

For the first time, the president will have to be accountable for this war in Iraq. And he does not want to face that reality."

YOU, Traitor Pelosi, do not want to face the reality, that YOU have no power. You are not the Commander and Chief. You do NOT make foreign policy. You do not get to tell the President how to fight this war. You are insignificant. You are starting to be see as the Traitor you are. That’s reality.

"Since the beginning of this war, which has lasted longer than World War II, the president has repeatedly not accounted for its continuing costs in his regular budget request. That is why Congress has had to pass seven supplementals.

What is it that the Commander-in-Chief doesn't know, that doesn't equip him to make a regular budget request for the war? Seven supplementals, seven times unprepared? I don't think so. I think it's seven times that the president wanted to hide the truth of the cost of this war from the American people.

The bill we intend to send to the president fully supports our troops and veterans. In fact, we give those troops and veterans more than the president asks for. "

No it doesn’t. As I said when Reid said this. The Bill could say "Every Soldier gets a million dollars." that doesn’t matter. You wrote the Bill to BE vetoed. You can put anything in that you want to, because you KNOW it will not pass. It is easy to increase money to someone or some thing if you KNOW it doesn’t matter and will not be spent.

"When the president says he's going to veto this bill, he's going to veto increased spending on military health. He's going to veto BRAC spending, which is over and above his request. He's going to veto meeting the health care needs, especially mental health needs, of our veterans who are returning from the war.

This bill is consistent with the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group. It has the support of many retired military generals and reflects the wishes of the American people to wind down this war. "

The will of the American people is to WIN. Not lose. Losing is YOUR desire. It is something you have invested in. Plain and simple. You cannot survive politically if we win.

"The president has to face the reality on the ground in Iraq. And he has to face the reality of accountability in this Congress."

He is NOT accountable to you, you twit. He is the PRESIDENT. You, thankfully, are not. The only thing keeping you in power right now is the cowardliness of the Republicans, and some in your own party. Someone should stand up and start calling for investigations into YOU and your brother in solidarity Traitor Reid. I know you will never step down. Therefore you need to be removed. You are a Traitor. It is, just that simple.

Traitors Reid and Pelosi Surrender Bill Coming

Hey folks,

Happy Tuesday to you. By the way, Remember I said yesterday that the media need to get out of Virginia Tech and let them heal. What do you think Virginia Tech just told them yesterday afternoon? {Smile} I hope they listen.

One of the big news stories today is the Traitors Reid and Pelosi Surrender Bill that will be going to the President to veto. Why this is big news today, I do not know. Nothing has changed. They want surrender, and Bush, the soldiers, and most Americans want victory. They wrote up their little pointless joke of a Bill, and he will veto it.

The Traitors released a statement yesterday. Here it is.

"The agreement reached between the House and the Senate rejects the President's failed policies in Iraq and his open-ended commitment to keep American troops there indefinitely and forges a new direction for a responsible end to the war.

If the President follows through on his veto threat, he will be the one who has failed to provide our troops and our veterans with the resources they need and it will be the President who has rejected the benchmarks he announced in January to measure success in Iraq. The bill ensures our troops are combat-ready before they are deployed to Iraq, provides our troops the resources and health care they deserve in Iraq and here at home, and responsibly winds down this war.

Iraqis must take the tough and necessary steps to secure their nation and to forge political reconciliation. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates understands the value of timelines in motivating the Iraqi Government to accomplish these goals. The President should carefully consider the views of his Secretary of Defense in making a judgment on this legislation.

An overwhelming majority of Americans, bipartisan majorities in both houses of Congress, military experts and the Iraq Study Group believe that a responsible end to the war best advances our national security needs. It is now up to the President to make a decision: continue to stay his failed course or join us to give our troops a strategy for success."

I do not even know where to begin. First, I guess, this whole thing is lies. We are in a war to win. Traitor Reid already came out and said, "The war is lost." This statement opens with

"The agreement reached between the House and the Senate rejects the President's failed policies in Iraq and his open-ended commitment to keep American troops there indefinitely and forges a new direction for a responsible end to the war."

The policy has NOT failed yet. The surge is working. Two, the President is NOT going to keep them there indefinitely. We have a set time line. We WILL leave when the job it done. They are simply using language that is designed to stir up the anti-war crowd. Of course noone wants to be in a losing battle. Nor does anyone want our troops there forever. But that is what they want you to believe is the Presidents plan.

"If the President follows through on his veto threat, he will be the one who has failed to provide our troops and our veterans with the resources they need and it will be the President who has rejected the benchmarks he announced in January to measure success in Iraq."

No he will not be. YOU will be Traitors. It is YOU playing politics with our troops lives. It is YOU Traitors, that have written this surrender Bill knowing full well that ANY President in history, including Bill Clinton, would have to veto it. You Traitors, want to surrender to the enemy. Tell the enemy when this will happen. You are the ones that will be denying the troops what they need. Just because YOU want to surrender and lose the war, doesn’t mean we WILL. YOU are not the Commander and Chief. You, thankfully, do not speak for most Americans. No matter how many times you lie about that, doesn’t make it true.

"The bill ensures our troops are combat-ready before they are deployed to Iraq, provides our troops the resources and health care they deserve in Iraq and here at home, and responsibly winds down this war."

No it doesn’t, because you wrote it TO be vetoed.

"Iraqis must take the tough and necessary steps to secure their nation and to forge political reconciliation. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates understands the value of timelines in motivating the Iraqi Government to accomplish these goals. The President should carefully consider the views of his Secretary of Defense in making a judgment on this legislation."

President Bush has already said this. He did give them benchmarks to reach, they are working on the together with the Iraqi Government. As for Secretary of Defense Robert Gates who will be in town soon, YOU have refused to even meet with him. Why? Why would you refuse to meet with him. Afraid he will go on record and say we are winning? Of course you cowards will not meet with him. You do not even like the man, but you will use him to attack Bush. The problem is though, he is NOT on your side on this. He KNOWS and will SPEAK the truth. Since that goes against your templet, you have no time for him. Amazing.

"An overwhelming majority of Americans, bipartisan majorities in both houses of Congress, military experts and the Iraq Study Group believe that a responsible end to the war best advances our national security needs."

You are showing your ignorance again. You do NOT care about national security. If we leave. Stop fighting EVIL. EVIL will consider that, and rightfully so, a victory. They will simply take over there, get bigger, stronger, and come home with us later. You Idiots. You can not see that? Or, as I assess, you do not care about tomorrow, all you care about is getting Bush today.

"It is now up to the President to make a decision: continue to stay his failed course or join us to give our troops a strategy for success."

WHAT IS YOU STRATEGY FOR SUCCESS?

Folks they TRULY believe that if we surrender to the enemy, who they do not even see as an enemy, their enemy is Bush, and just leave them be, they will leave us be. They truly believe that they are so intelligent and so savvy that all they have to do is talk to those that want us dead just because we breath, and all will be well. They will simply fall in love with us and we will be friends.

Traitor Reid gave a speech yesterday at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. I have it, but when I printed it out, it is seven pages long. Pretty much all the same old garbage. I’ve read it again and again. It’s not even really worthy of comment. Just more garbage from a pointless and do nothing Congress.

I do love this part though. For those who say, well they will not abandon Iraq. One, if we leave, we ARE. How do we ensure that the enemy does NOT come in a take over, if we are not there? Morons. But Reid stated, he doesn’t even want our attention THERE. He said, which you KNOW is a lie as soon as you hear this.

We should be addressing a nuclear Iran.

And we should be addressing the resurgence of al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

And we should be addressing the instability and genocide in Africa.

And we should be addressing democratic retrenchment in Russia.

And we should be addressing anti-Americanism in Latin America.

These challenges require American leadership and they will determine our future in the world.

As conditions deteriorate in Iraq and our world focus continues to narrow, we must choose a new direction.

One road leads to endless war, with consequences for America's future security extending well past the borders of Iraq. The other road leads to a responsible end, gives Iraq the best chance for success and allows us to refocus on the challenges we face throughout the world.

Iran? Russia? Latin America? So what is Reid saying? We need our troops to be ready for these countries? No folks, he doesn’t care about any of that. All he cares about is losing the war. All he cares about is getting Bush. He like Pelosi, are idiots and Traitors. The President is right to veto their Bill of surrender. They should not even be in power to write such Bills. But until someone grows brave enough to step up and call for it, they will continue.

Global Warming? Crow should fly away

Hey folks,

Remember when the Virginia Tech shooting first occurred I said this would be the news for the rest of the week. Wekl, it was, and into the Weekend as well. I think it’s about time for the Mass Media to move out of the area, off the Virginia Tech Campus and leave them alone now to allow them to heal in peace. All Weekend and even this morning, this is all the news.

But I did manage to find this report by the AP. It raising more of the same questions that I have been asking and it points out more of the same idiocies that I have been talking about. From my article a while back about the psychological breakdown of the stars, to the non-scientific proof, attempting to indoctrinate {brainwashing} our youth, to the follow the money thing, Global Warming was in the news yesterday. What am I referring to? AP -Crow, David on global warming 'mission' by JOHN HEILPRIN.

Their college tour ended, Sheryl Crow and Laurie David describe their efforts to stop global warming as part of the most important mission of the times.

That's the hope of Grammy-winning rocker Crow and David, who produced "An Inconvenient Truth," the global warming movie that won the Oscar for best documentary.

"It's great to go out and play music, and I love that, too. And it's also nice to make money. But this is not that," Crow said Sunday in an interview. "This is a whole bunch of people dedicating their time, their lives, working for free, for a mission. And it is the most important mission."

I’m waiting to hear "We on a mission from God." from the old Blues Brothers movie. Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot. With these people and the Chicken Little crowd, there is no God. Just mother earth and the fact WE are destroying it. {Sigh}

One, Neither Crow nor David are scientists. Neither is Gore for that matter. The movie bombed. The movie is filled with, uh, let’s just say, falsehoods. Yet, they are traveling around the college world, toting the movie as if it was science and a proven fact. Amazing.

The pair rode a biodiesel bus on a 12-campus tour to raise awareness about global warming by engaging students on the topic. It started earlier this month at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and was timed to end on Earth Day.

David said "federal inaction is no longer acceptable" and is pressing for Congress to enact a bill to impose mandatory curbs on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases within two years. She predicted the 2008 election would revolve around three main issues: jobs, terrorism and temperature.

Catchy.

"I just feel like if this isn't addressed by this administration, if this administration isn't hearing this message loud and clear, then I feel like there's an irresponsibility," Crow said.

Yes folks, {Laughing} Global Warming is Bush’s fault. Idiots.

Also speaking at the concert was David's husband, Larry, a comedian and producer best known as co-creator of the TV show "Seinfeld," and environmental advocate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

"Hurricane Katrina is just a taste of what's to come if we don't stop global warming," Kennedy told some 2,000 people who turned out for the songs and speeches.

Crow opened with "A Change Would Do You Good" and did a spirited duet with King on "I Feel The Earth Move." McGraw and Hill also performed.

Can you take this folks. Katrina had NOTHING to do with Global Warming. If that were the case, we would have had a worst season last year. It would not just stop. I’m having a hard time trying to believe that any of you are buying into this garbage. Well, I know you true OPNers are not. You are too intelligent for this nonsense. But there are a lot of sheepeople out there that cannot think for themselves. This is who Crow and David are going after. They are rich and famous, they must know what they are talking about. No, not really. This just means that they know how to follow a script, and sing a song.

Get this arrogance.

Crow and David unsuccessfully tried to change the thinking of Karl Rove, President Bush's top adviser, at a correspondents' dinner Saturday night. "I honestly thought that I was going to change his mind, like, right there and then," David said the interview.

Crow dedicated the closing number of the concert, sang by all the performers, to Rove, wryly calling him her "new friend." The title: "We Can Work It Out," written and made famous by The Beatles.

Yes folks, you read it right. {laughing} Hey, you know, if the "Earth Day" celebration that I attending yesterday was any indication of the number of people buying into the whole Global Warming thing, the Chicken Little crowd is in TROUBLE. There was pretty much noone there.

Happy Monday to you. Hope you all have a great day today. Remember, if a star says something, that just makes it fact. Do not think for yourself. They know more than you. Just accept what they tell you. OK?

IWA for Sunday April 22, 2007

Hey folks,

It’s Sunday! Time for the IWA. WARNING- This one is sick. I mean really gross. But the winner, deserves it. No doubt about it.

OK so I have babysat in the past. I have a son now. I understand that from time to time the youngins can get on your nerves. I understand that from time to time they can try your patients. But as a parent, sitter, or in this case, Foster parent, you need to learn how to deal with it. This is not the way. According to the BBC -'Sadistic' foster mother jailed. As well she should be.

A woman who punished three children in her care by ramming sticks down their throats and making them eat their own vomit has been jailed for 14 years.

Eunice Spry, 62, from Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, was convicted at Bristol Crown Court last month, of 26 charges of abuse spanning 19 years.

The prosecution said Spry's behaviour was "horrifying" and "sadistic".

Spry had denied all the charges, which related to offences in Gloucestershire between 1986 and 2005.

Spry, who was the legal parent of the three children, was arrested when police raided her home in February 2005.

She was found guilty of a range of charges from unlawful wounding, cruelty to a person under 16, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, perverting the course of justice and witness intimidation.

OK This woman needed a LIFE sentence. There is NO WAY that this woman needs to be in the same COUNTRY that have children.

Judge Simon Darwall-Smith told Spry that this was the worst case he had come across in 40 years in law.

He told her: "Frankly, it's difficult for anyone to understand how any human being could have even contemplated what you did, let alone with the regularity and premeditation you employed."

The slight figure in the dock who had raised some of her children in Eckington, near Pershore, Worcestershire, looked on impassively as the judge sentenced her to 14 years.

He also ordered her to pay costs of £80,000, which he said would inevitably mean she would have to sell at least one of her two properties in Gloucestershire.

Following Spry's conviction, Gloucestershire County Council apologised for the "shortcomings" in its care system.

This goes on to say the same old same old in the foster care system. Different agencies did not share information, noone knew, noone saw the signs, blah, blah, blah. She showed no emotion at all throughout the trial.

Now I’m sorry folks, but not only is she an idiot, to these kids, she was a monster. Somehow 14 years just does not sound like enough. Congratulations Eunice, you ARE the Idiot of the Week. Be VERY thankful it was not up to me, you would be going away AT LEAST for the number of years equal to that of the years you abused these kids. You got off VERY lightly.

H.S. Looks Like Tamiflu May Help Bird Flu

Hey folks,

Happy Earth Day to you. In the Health and Science segment this week, we continue our series on the Bird Flu threat. According to Reuters -Bangladesh says bird flu spread to more farms

Bangladesh said on Saturday bird flu has spread to six more farms despite efforts to tackle the virus by veterinary and health officials and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation.

"The infection was detected at a farm in western Magura district 200 km west of the capital Dhaka and five farms at Savar in the Dhaka district," a spokesman at the fisheries and livestock ministry said.

The H5N1 bird flu virus has been spreading in poultry flocks in Bangladesh ever since it was first detected on six of the country's farms on March 22 and despite culling and banning of the movement of chickens in areas with confirmed outbreaks.

"Pete, what is up with the Bird Flu thing? Why are you talking about it all the time?" This was a question that someone asked me. They seem to believe that Bird Flu is no big deal. It is on the other side of the world and has no effect on us. Or maybe they think I’m going to create panic, if I keep bringing it up. Here is the truth. I keep talking about it, because someone needs to.

This was big news a while back. It has the potential of coming here. According to the experts, it also has the potential of mutating into a disease that can transfer person to person. If it does, and it comes here, A LOT of people will die. Period. So I am attempting to keep people informed at what is going on with it. I’m not trying to create panic. Nor am I attempting to make it something it is not. It IS a dangerous disease that many people have forgotten is out there. Just like many things, this is a clear example of what I have told you before. If it is not on the nightly news, on one of the big three, a lot of people just do not know, or believe it. That is truly sad.

Noone knows how it has traveled so far. According to this article,

The virus is known to have infected nearly 300 people in 12 countries since 2003, killing more than half of them.

Human cases of bird flu have generally been linked to contact with infected poultry. Health experts fear the virus may mutate into a form that passes easily from human to human, causing a pandemic that could affect millions.

But there may be some hope, from a common drug. Also according to Reuters -Tamiflu key to treat bird flu, avoid steroids: WHO by Stephanie Nebehay. One attempt in fighting Bird Flu was the use of steroids. This failed. As a matter of fact, eight out of nine patients died. But Tamiflu?

The WHO reaffirmed that early treatment with Tamiflu, made by Swiss-based Roche and known generically as oseltamivir, was useful in reducing death from the H5N1 virus. Giving it to people with advanced symptoms was also "warranted."

"Data presented gave strong support that early treatment makes a difference," Hayden said, citing data from Egypt where 20 of 34 bird flu patients have survived to date.

"Unfortunately the problem is many patients are coming in late with shortness of breath and progressive symptoms that would indicate advanced viral pneumonia," he said.

While bird flu is mainly a disease in animals, experts fear it could mutate into a form that can be spread easily among people, triggering a possible pandemic.

Some 291 people have been infected with the disease, including 172 who have died, according to the agency.

Tamiflu, a flu drug, may also be used at a two-fold higher dosage and possibly in so-called "dual antiviral therapy" with an older class of drugs known as amantadine, the WHO said, in line with previous recommendations.

But such decisions should be made on a case-by-case basis, especially in patients with pneumonia or progressive disease.

Combining Tamiflu with amantadine may be especially useful in countries where the virus is susceptible to amantadine.

These countries include China and parts of Europe and Africa where a particular H5N1 subvirus or "clade" has spread, causing human cases since January 2006, according to Hayden. He cited Turkey, Egypt and Azerbaijan.

Antibiotics should only be given if there is good reason to suspect the patient has a bacterial complication to pneumonia -- according to the WHO. Antibiotics should not be given preventively, due to possible resistance and side-effects.

So something we already have may be a key ingredient it combating this disease. That is GOOD news. Let’s continue in THIS country to come up with ways to prevent and cure this possible mega threat, before it DOES come here.

I'll be back a little later with the IWA, talk to you all then.

Looking Toward 08

Hey folks,

Pew Research Center also reports this. PewResearchCenter -Trends in Political Values and Core Attitudes: 1987-2007, Political Landscape More Favorable To Democrats.

Increased public support for the social safety net, signs of growing public concern about income inequality, and a diminished appetite for assertive national security policies have improved the political landscape for the Democrats as the 2008 presidential campaign gets underway.

Did you get that? "Income equality" and "a diminished appetite for assertive national security?" WHO? This is Liberal templet. Instead of working hard and getting ahead, they want YOU to pay someone who hasn’t the same amount. It’ not fair they make more than ME, Take some from them and give it to me. Remember what Hillary said?

"The other day the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits and I want to put them into a strategic energy fund that will begin to fund alternative, smart energy, alternative and technology that will begin to actually move us toward the direction of independence. I have to tell you, I am not running for president to put Band-Aids on our problems."

Now this is persuasive to some. They are making the biggest profit in history, and I cannot pay my phone bill. I get that. But understand this. Let’s say you are struggling. Let’s say you find a niche. You start making money. You finally get out of your situation. You buy a bigger house. You start doing better. You no longer have to worry about money. You made it. You are now living the American dream. But WAIT! STOP! Hold it a second there buddy. You CANNOT make that much money. It’s not fair. So I am going to take it fro you and give it to this poor slob over here that can, but has chosen not to working in five years. {Sigh} Once they start with one, they will do all. How much is too much profit, and who sets the limit?

At the same time, many of the key trends that nurtured the Republican resurgence in the mid-1990s have moderated, according to Pew's longitudinal measures of the public's basic political, social and economic values. The proportion of Americans who support traditional social values has edged downward since 1994, while the proportion of Americans expressing strong personal religious commitment also has declined modestly.

Even more striking than the changes in some core political and social values is the dramatic shift in party identification that has occurred during the past five years. In 2002, the country was equally divided along partisan lines: 43% identified with the Republican Party or leaned to the GOP, while an identical proportion said they were Democrats. Today, half of the public (50%) either identifies as a Democrat or says they lean to the Democratic Party, compared with 35% who align with the GOP.

I wonder how accurate these numbers are NOW. Now that the LWL are showing themselves for who they are. Traitors and lunatics. It goes on to talk about the fact that the war has some effect on these numbers. Since the war is unpopular, and the President belongs to the Republican party, you get the point. But then it says this

The study of the public's political values and attitudes by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press – the most recent in a series of such reports dating back to 1987 – finds a pattern of rising support since the mid-1990s for government action to help disadvantaged Americans. More Americans believe that the government has a responsibility to take care of people who cannot take care of themselves, and that it should help more needy people even if it means going deeper into debt.

These attitudes have undergone a major change since 1994, when the Republicans won control of Congress. In particular, 54% say the government should help more needy people, even if it adds to the nation's debt, up from just 41% in 1994. All party groups are now more supportive of government aid to the poor, though Republicans remain much less supportive than Democrats or independents if it means adding to the deficit.

Again. All liberal. Do nothing and let the Government take care of you. I still believe in the whole "Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a life time." The constant bombardment of the pushing of class envy by the mass media has lead to this. The truth is, there are more millionaires now than ANY other time in history. The Dow just closed at the record high for the THIRD day in a row. Most Americans ARE happy with their financial status. But you would never know that listening to the media.

Then they go on. Remember all those times I have talked about the Moral decline in this country. I have said time and time again to you folks, that if you remove God, you HAVE to replace him with something else.

The latest values survey, conducted Dec. 12, 2006-Jan. 9, 2007, finds a reversal of increased religiosity observed in the mid-1990s. While most Americans remain religious in both belief and practice, the percentage expressing strong religious beliefs has edged down since the 1990s. And the survey finds an increase in the relatively small percentage of the public that can be categorized as secular. In Pew surveys since the beginning of 2006, 12% identified themselves as unaffiliated with a religious tradition. That compares with 8% in the Pew values survey in 1987. This change appears to be generational in nature, with each new generation displaying lower levels of religious commitment than the preceding one.

The grey area is getting wider. Right and wrong is no longer black and white. Morals are being lost and the "anything goes" crowd is growing in popularity. Something else I have been warning you about. This is interesting. The "enlightened ones" {Liberals} seem to be falling faster.

In addition, political differences in levels of religious commitment are larger now than in years past. Republicans are at least as religious as they were 10 or 20 years ago, based on the numbers expressing belief in God, citing prayer as important, and other measures. By contrast, Democrats express lower levels of commitment than in the late 1980s and 1990s.

Yes folks, they tell you all this, to show you that America leans left. I do not believe that this is case. More and more people are seeing what and who these people are. But this is the very thing that the LWL live for. Numbers like these, although, misleading, will still embolden them even more. We need to put forth the truth. That is that this is no longer about Right and Left, but it is about right and wrong. They are WRONG. Traitors and lunatics on a quest for tyranny. America, WAKE UP, and just simply, stop, look, listen, and learn. Do you see where we are heading?

Tomorrow is Earth Day

Hey folks,

Tomorrow is Earth Day. Happy Earth Day to all that observe this day. I will be {I think} at Jonathan Dickerson State Park here in South Florida for the festivities tomorrow. It’s always a good time. Yes, contrary to what you may believe, I DO care about the Earth. I really do. I love animals more than I like most people. {Smile} I care about pollution. I care that Joshua will grow up in world he can enjoy as well. I want him to learn about all of our animal friends and teach him to respect them. Does this make me a disciple of the Global Warming gods? No. There is no such thing. But you do not have to wacko to care about our world.

I saw this article this morning. According to the Pew Research Center, 83% - Think Environmental Laws and Regulations Should Be Stricter. I get what they are saying, BUT.

This Earth Day finds a large majority (83%) of the American public supporting stricter laws and regulations to protect the environment, and 69% agreeing that "we should put more emphasis on fuel conservation than on developing new oil supplies;"

Stop. If we do NOT develop new oil supplies WHILE we are working on alternative fuels, we will continue to be at the mercy of foreign governments that do not like us all that much. We HAVE enough oil NOW here that we could wean off them. But we need plants to do this. We need drilling to get it. Anyway, this is telling.

but when potential costs are mentioned, the number agreeing that "people should be willing to pay higher prices in order to protect the environment" declines to 60%, down a bit since 2003 (65%).

{Laughing} WAIT!! You mean I have to pay more? Notice the gas prices, here by me anyway, are up to $3.00 a gallon? Where is the outrage? Why is there no call on Congress to do something about it? Why, never mind. The LWL are in office.

In general, however, the public’s view of environmental issues has not changed drastically in recent years. For instance, the percentage of Americans who believe that the nation needs stricter laws on the environment slipped from 90% in 1992 to 82% two years later, but since then has remained fairly stable. In the 2007 survey, however, there has been a sharp increase in partisan differences over whether the nation needs stricter environmental laws.

Here is where I’m going with this folks.

Currently, 95% of Democrats and 85% of independents say that stricter environmental laws are needed, but just 65% of Republicans agree. The views of Democrats and independents have not changed significantly since the 2003 Values Survey, but fewer Republicans support tougher environmental laws and regulations than did so then (79% vs. 65%).

Why do you think this is? I have a guess. I, and many others like me, KNOW that the Global Warming scam is that. A scam. A lot of Democrats, Liberals, and even some Independents fail to use, if they have it, the ability to think for themselves. They just accept whatever they hear in the news, and by the Liberal party as gospel, without even attempting to add logic or actual SCIENCE to the scam. So more and more people are starting to reject it, the more they learn about it, while others just believe the lie.

And the partisan divide on this issue, which was 17 points in the 2003 survey, has ballooned to 30 points. In 1992, the first time this question was asked, partisan differences were much narrower (seven points). There also are sizable differences within the Republican party over environmental values: Nearly eight-in-ten moderate and liberal Republicans (78%) agree that such laws are needed, but just 58% of conservative Republicans agree. Democrats are unified on the need for tougher environmental laws and regulations.

That is because there are many that call themselves Republicans that are NOT. But that is another issue. It seems that the daily hammering on the scam from the Chicken Little crowd may be having an affect. What is seems that they are doing is getting you ready for MORE of your money leaving you, and going to them. They are getting you ready for taxes, fines, regulation, ETC. They are getting you ready to be stripped of even more freedom. Make you feel guilty enough to PAY for YOUR carelessness. However, it seems that the effect is working BOTH ways.
