Iran More Defiant, Clinton not Liked.

Hey folks,

For the last two days, the AP has been warning us the Iran is seeking to test missiles and conduct war games. Maybe they {the AP} are finally waking up to realize that Little Hitler needs our attention. Or maybe it's a way to blame Bush, since this comes on the heels of another Aircraft Carrier being sent to the Persian Gulf.

According to the AP yesterday,

"Iran plans three days of military maneuvers, including short-range missile tests, beginning Sunday — its first since the U.N. Security Council imposed sanctions against it in late December, state-run television said.

"The elite Revolutionary Guards plans to begin a three-day missile maneuver on Sunday near Garmsar city," said the broadcast. The city is located in northern Iran on the edge of Kavir desert, about 60 miles southeast of Tehran.

"Zalzal and Fajr-5 missiles will be test fired in the war game," the television quoted an unnamed commander of the guards, as saying. Both are considered short-range missiles."

This was suppose to be aimed at putting a stop to the role of world powers in the Persian Gulf region. Now today, the AP is reporting that,

"Ahmadinejad strongly defended his economic policies Sunday, and said again that sanctions would not deter Iran from pursuing its nuclear program.

"The (Security Council) resolution was delivered dead. Ten more similar resolutions will not affect our economy and our policy," he said in a speech broadcast live on state TV as he delivered the budget for the new year.

"Falsely, they want to imply that we have had costs in this regard," the president said, apparently referring to recent news stories in the West that said prices for food and other basic goods have risen in Iran since the sanctions were imposed in late December."

I warned you on Friday that things were heating up. Do not take too much comfort in the fact some in his country do not agree with him. He is still President.

You know, I want you to read this paragraph, and ask yourself if this sounds familiar.

"Ahmadinejad was elected last year on a populist agenda promising to bring oil revenues to every family, eradicate poverty and tackle unemployment, but he has faced increasingly fierce criticism in recent weeks for his failure to meet those promises."

Sound like others we know? {Smile} He even sounds like the LWL. He defends his "policies" to the end.

"In presenting his budget for the fiscal year that begins March 21, he defended his domestic and economic policies. "The government has completely controlled the prices of some food stuffs, such as bread, gas, water and electricity," he said.

About 150 Iranian lawmakers have signed a letter calling on Ahmadinejad's government to reconsider its draft budget for next year, arguing it overestimates oil revenues in a falling world market. Roughly 80 percent of Iran's revenues come from oil exports.

Ahmadinejad said Sunday the budget took account of a possible further drop in oil prices, but he gave no specifics."

Style and flash, no substance.

This brings me to this interesting article by USA Today,

"She's a celebrity with an impressive résumé, major-league supporters and five consecutive years of being the Gallup Poll's "most admired woman."

Yet as New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton plunges into the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, she faces resistance from fellow Democrats who don't like her, don't like her positions on issues or don't think she can win.

"We've got to find somebody else," says David Newman, a retired teacher from York, Maine. "I think she's great. If she had a chance of winning, I'd vote for her. She's dragging a ball and chain behind her. There are too many people who have an aversion to her."

Clinton is a complicated package. Her constituents and Senate colleagues generally view her as smart and hard-working. On the challenge side of the ledger, there's her personality (perceived in some quarters as chilly), her vote on Iraq (she supported the war) and her gender (are Americans ready for a female president?).

Then there's that husband of hers. Could there be a more complicated marriage in America?"

{Laughing} I think USA Today is going to be getting some phone calls later. But I have noticed that I may have been wrong. After the daily blitz of "all Obama all the time" I predicted that Hillary would not have her spotlight taken, and she would be on front the front pages the next day. Well, that didn’t happen. Could the MMD ACTUALLY be attempting to "find somebody else."

They are breaking one of their longtime mandates. Make the Clintons look good. Protect them at all cost. Most importantly, NEVER ignore them.

But here’s the problem. You know how the LWL live and die for polls? Well the polls do not look good for Senator Clinton. It seems that USA Today went on a hunt for polls. What they found was none to favorable. They even seem to be getting ready to attack her if she loses her parties nomination and claim it’s because the country is not ready for a woman.

Ossoff says Clinton's "baggage, the issues she's had with her husband," are part of the reason people say she can't win. However, she says the idea that Clinton can't win is also a mask for people who don't want to confront the gender question. "They are looking for a way of avoiding saying that because she's a woman, it won't play."

About 85%-90% of Americans tell pollsters they would vote for a woman for president. Matthew Streb, a political scientist at Northern Illinois University, says new research to be published this year suggests the real level of resistance is 25%-30% and applies equally across all demographic groups."

I sense the tide is a changing in the realm of Clintonality.

We need to be ever diligent in the watching of our enemies. We need to remember, there are those that want us dead, just because we breath. In that light, we need leaders that have the courage to stand up for what’s right, just, and the strength and wisdom to fight for the American way. Period.

Seems to me that Hillary Rodham Clinton just wants another chance at the White house silverware.
If she gets in the US is in big trouble.

No doubt about that Bill. We are going to have a hard time just over the next two years. Having her as President would put the nail in the coffin, if you will.
