Original Liberalism IS What Conservatism Should Be

New Liberalism is nothing more than a quest for Tyranny

Hey folks,

So it seems is the New Republican Party. Now I have been talking about this for years. Back on January 14, 2007 I posted Liberalism Is The Quest For Tyranny. In it I pointed out the VAST difference between Original Liberalism and what we have now.

What is Liberalism defined? According to Wikipedia

Liberalism is an ideology, philosophical view, and political tradition which holds that liberty is the primary political value.[1] Liberalism has its roots in the Western Age of Enlightenment, but the term has taken on different meanings in different time periods (for example now in the United States generally it means new liberalism while in the rest of the world has the meaning of classical liberalism).

Broadly speaking, liberalism emphasizes individual rights. It seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power (especially of government and religion), the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected.[2] In modern society, liberals favor a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed.[3]

Many new liberals advocate a greater degree of government interference in the free market, often in the form of anti-discrimination laws, civil service examinations, universal education, and progressive taxation. This philosophy frequently extends to a belief that the government should provide for a degree of general welfare, including benefits for the unemployed, housing for the homeless, and medical care for the sick. Such publicly-funded initiatives and interferences in the market are rejected by modern advocates of classical liberalism, which emphasizes free private enterprise, individual property rights and freedom of contract; classical liberals hold that economic inequality, as arising naturally from competition in the free market, does not justify the violation of private property rights.

Liberalism rejected many foundational assumptions which dominated most earlier theories of government, such as the Divine Right of Kings, hereditary status, and established religion. Fundamental human rights that all liberals support include the right to life, liberty, and property.

A broader use of the term liberalism is in the context of liberal democracy (see also constitutionalism). In this sense of the word, it refers to a democracy in which the powers of government are limited and the rights of citizens are legally defined; this applies to nearly all Western democracies, and therefore is not solely associated with liberal parties.

Now lets touch on some of these. The LWL do NOT support personal freedoms, free exchange of thought, nor do they support free speech. Unless you agree with them. If not, they will do EVERYTHING they can to discredit, close minds, and silence the speaker.

They DO want to control the market. They DO want to, in essence, put a cap on how far you can go. Make over a half million dollars a year, you will pay for it. They DO want you to need them. They love social programs that they try to pass off as compassion. They want more control in your lives.

Anti-discrimination laws have become discrimination. Universal education is becoming simple brain washing. Progressive taxation is simply punishment for making it. Religion? I'll get to that in a minute. What about this? "classical liberals hold that economic inequality, as arising naturally from competition in the free market, does not justify the violation of private property rights." Not the new LWL. They have no problem taking your land if it benefits them. They will even give it to another private person for that reason. They call it eminent domain.

Then this statement in the meaning, "Fundamental human rights that all liberals support include the right to life, liberty, and property." That is the EXACT opposite of what they truly believe. Right to life? Abortion, embryonic stem cell research, I guess that is the same. Right?

They want you to have no other choice than to depend on them. Why do you think that they are so against God? Many see God as the final authority. As well they should. But that would mean someone or something, in their mind, is above them.

What is a Tyrant?

A Tyrant (Latin tyrannus, from Greek τtύ?ρ?αaν?ν?ο?ς? týrannos) possesses absolute power through the people in a state or in an organization: one refers to this mode of rule as a tyranny. In ancient Greece, tyrants were generally aristocrats who had gained power over the others by getting the support of the poor people by giving them land, freeing them from slavery, etc.

Welfare, food stamps, government housing, free education, ETC. Get the point?

Tyranny is micro management and control over every aspect of your life. This is what the Liberals strive for. They envy people like Saddam, Castro, and Ahmadinejad. Absolute power without accountability. They even line up to go visit these people. Praise these people. Even say we should talk to these people. We could learn from them.

It has never been more true than today. This is going to go long today, but you have to get this. According to Reason.tv's Nick Gillespie who appeared on Fox News' Freedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano on Wednesday, September 23, Conservatism is dead. Now I do not agree with that, but I get his point. I even warned about this on December 17, 2008, when I posted this Is The USSA Inevitable?

Little Hitler in Iran. Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, Kim Jong-il in North Korea, Putin in Russia, Castro in Cuba, now Obama in America? Is the new USSA, The United Socialist States of America, REALLY inevitable? I really am starting to think that it just might be.

We do not even have to wait for the next thirty days for Obama to be sworn in. We already know that Barack Hussein Obama TOLD us that he wants a Socialistic Society. He wants and is putting in place people that can bring that into being. Now we even have a Climate Czar, if you will. Someone in the highest office to FORCE you to accept the scam of Global Warming. Someone to impose oppressive taxation and control over PERSONAL lives in the name of saving the planet from a threat that is complete BS. It does not exist.

But let's look at the OUTGOING President. Bush has already Nationalized the Banking industry, Housing markets, and is now about to Nationalize the Auto Industry. Of course this is welcomed by Obama and some in the INCOMING Administration. It fits their agenda. Nationalize Healthcare, Education, and even the Oil Companies.

With Bush's head start, Obama will have a much easier time simply continuing down the road of Tyranny. Private business will no longer be Private. It will all work together toward the "Common Good" of all Americans. Individual Freedoms will be reduced to "Level the Playing Field," and the wealth will be spread around. In control of it all, will be a Centralize Government. They will decide what is best for you.

One of the problems is the People. The People are not only allowing this to happen right before our eyes, some are encouraging it. Calling for it. Yes I know that the majority of this Country is still against it, but those in power seem to be for nothing less. So how can this possibly happen here in the greatest Country in the World? Ignorance is one of the most simplistic answers. People just do not know WHAT Socialism is.

As I said before, Hitler could not rise by himself. He had people HELPING him to. Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili {Joseph Stalin} same thing. The Soviet Union would have never been, had not some people WANTED it to be. ONE man, one idea, can do little. They need support. Little Hitler {Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad} is rising right now because there are many helping him. Including some in this very country. Hugo Chavez approved 33 other changes to the constitution.

“We will do what we have to do to approve the constitutional reforms that the president proposes because that is what the people want,” said Iris Varela, a pro-Chavez member of parliament.

Sound familiar? Obama does not like the Constitution. He said that there are too many restriction and it is not conducive to what he wants to do. So? will he change it to make it fit? He could. Chavez also shut down Radio and TV stations. Can you say Fairness Doctrine?

Remember Senator Maxine Waters said this, Thursday 22, 2008, during the show hearing.

"And guess what this liberal would be all about? This liberal would be all about socialize -- uh, uh, would be about basically taking over and the government running all of your companies."

She was talking about Oil. But we are seeing this right now with other Industries by Bush. The latest is the Auto Industry. Conservative Republicans implored the White House not to use money from the $700 billion bailout for the financial sector to aid car makers. A leading House Democrat, Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., said the government should secure veto power over the companies' business decisions as part of any aid.

Congress will not vote on it. They WANT Bush to do it. This way, when they take over, Obama can say, "Hey, Bush appointed this "Car Czar" and put these things in place. We just have to improve on them and continue them in the way Bush's own Press Secretary Dana Perino said, 'We're trying to do something that's responsible.'"

Remember what Campaign for America's Future co-director Roger Hickey said?

“Congressional Conservatives and the President are the culprits who have stood in the way of a new progressive direction for our nation”

“A new progressive direction for our nation” SOCIALISM He came out and said it. Well, it does not look like Bush is standing in the way anymore. It looks more like Bush is leading the way. In about 30 days, there will be no REAL opposition at all in Congress. There may not even be all that much opposition against the PROPAGANDA of the Mainstreme Media, who simple write and report what they are told to.

Is the new USSA inevitable? It just may be.

I hoped you clicked the link and watched the Video of Nick Gillespie talking about how people are fed up with Politics as usual. I hope you got it. More importantly, I hope the Republican Party got it. No folks, I do not believe that Conservatism is dead. But it has NO LEADERS. We need someone to step up and take us back to a time when the Government was run for the people and by the people. Back to a time when it was the American Spirit of the PEOPLE that made us great. Back to a time when the Government was OUT of our daily lives and truly there to keep us safe and SERVE the People. NOT CONTROL the People for It's own gain.

Is the USSA inevitable? With Obama and Crew? YES! There is little doubt about that now. But we are not going to defeat this by electing someone else that is just like them. No matter WHAT Party they claim to be from. One thing is for sure though, in all this, we KNOW that the current Administration and Congress ARE on this Quest for Tyranny and the only way to stop them in 2010. VOTE THEM OUT. Let's stop this now and THEN let's send a message, WE NEED A REAL LEADER. We need a Conservative Leader. We need America BACK!

BREAKING NEWS: Senate Finance Committee Voted Down Public Option, Twice

This is good news

Hey folks,

The Senate Finance Committee voted twice Tuesday against the creation of a new government-run health insurance plan. The panel rejected a proposal from Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.) on a 15 to 8 vote, then voted down one sponsored by Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) on a 13 to 10 vote.

The Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday rejected two Democratic amendments that would have created a government-run "public option" as part an overhaul of the nation's health-insurance system, with the panel's chairman bowing to staunch Republican opposition that he said would prevent final passage of a bill containing such a provision.

After an amendment offered by Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.) was voted down 15 to 8, the committee voted 13 to 10 to reject a second public-option provision introduced by Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.). The committee chairman, Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), voted against both politically volatile amendments, saying he feared that a bill including either one would not get the 60 votes it would need for passage by the full Senate.

Why would they not have the Votes? Because of YOU folks. Keep it up. Let's kill this thing all together. Remember, even if it is not there now, it can and WILL be added later, if they get the rest of Obamacare passed.

Global Warming Scam, Lawsuit, Al Gore Avoids Truth

From the Energy Front 092909

Big news, Iran launches Missiles that can reach Israel, able to carry Nukes. You know, those missiles that they will not have for YEARS. Big news, it is learned that Iran has another "secret Nuclear Facility" and possibly many more. You know, those that they claimed for years NOT to have. Big news, "All targets within the region, no matter where they are, will be within the range of these missiles," General Hossein Salami, commander of the Guards' air force, said. I'm NOT going to say it. I'm just not. Our Fearless Leader? Off to help persuade, what some say is already a done deal, the Olympics to come to Chicago in 2016. {Sigh}

Hey folks,

Glad to be back in The Chair. REALLY glad. Of course, I'm glad you could stop by. Happy Tuesday to you. Don't miss tomorrow. Is Conservatism dead? Some are starting to say it is. That is tomorrow. Today is Tuesday, time to go to the Energy Front.

A while back I posed a video of John Coleman, who founded the Weather Channel in 1982, saying that he was thinking about suing those who sell carbon credits, which would force Global Warming alarmists to give a more honest account of the policies they propose.

"I have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore. That lawsuit would get so much publicity, so much media attention. And as the experts went to the witness stand and testified, I feel like that could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming."

Maybe. The media would have to cover it? I guarantee you this. Even if they did not, the NEW Media WILL. Here he is, in his own words, talking about this.

So what does this have to do with Energy? A LOT! The whole reason that Father Gore, and the Chicken Little crowd is pushing this Scam is Power, Control, and of course, MONEY! It's all about Taxes and Trading Schemes. Of course Al Gore Denys this.

Waxman - Markey? What will it cost? Who makes the Profit? Of course, Al Gore denies THIS as well. Actually, he doesn't deny it, he flat out avoids it.

YOU! YOU will pay for all this. Al Gore's lame attempt to deflect the question by holding up the New York Times is pathetic. He knows how much it will cost. HE IS GETTING A HUGH CHUNK OF IT! Of course that is why he came up with this scam to begin with.

I do not want to repeat myself all that much here, but even if GW was anything more than BS, even if it was REAL, Carbon Credits DO NOTHING, to help the planet. ALL THEY DO IS MOVE MONEY AROUND.

Gore and Gov. "Mr. Millionaire, or Big Business, you can't continue to operate and live the way you have been. We have determined that your 'Carbon Footprint' is to big."

Big Business, Millionaire "OK, OK. OK. You got your stupid little Law passed. What do I have to do to make you happy?"

Gore and Gov. "Well, we understand how important you are, so just pay us $100.00 per every unit you go over and all is fine."

Big Business, Millionaire "So all I have to do is pay you about Ten Grand annually and I do not have to change anything?"

Gore and Gov. "That right. just pay us and we'll leave you alone."

Big Business, Millionaire "Well, what about my smaller competitor, or the average everyday folks out there?"

Gore and Gov. "Who cares? YOU can afford it, so why worry about them?"

Big Business, Millionaire "OK, Cool. Besides, if my competitors can't afford it, they will go under, and I'll make even MORE money."

Sound familiar? I grew up in NY. Imagine if you will, you are the new owner of a Pizza Place. In walks two guys dressed in Suits.

Thugs "Hey you want that you should be safe here? We can protect you. All you have to do is pay us, say 30 percent of your profits, and, you know, we'll, make sure that nothing happens to you. This could be a rough Neighborhood you know."

Pizza Owner "OK, OK, OK. Here ya go."

Thugs "Hey, you won't regret this. No one messes with those under OUR protection. Welcome to the Neighborhood."

Pizza Owner "Hey wait, if I pay you, say 40 percent, will you make sure no one else opens another Pizza place here?"

Thugs "Forgetaboutit, You is our number one Pizza place. See you next week."

Truth is folks, Carbon Credits amount to nothing more than a shake down by the Government of Big Business. Oh, YOU will pay for it. You will pay for it in higher costs, and higher taxes. YOU will pay for it in higher fuel costs and if YOU can not pay to play the game, YOU will have to make changes in your daily lives, while people like Al Gore, Rush Limbaugh, and, well, just about EVERY member of Congress, can continue to live as the will. Big Business will continue to make a profit, and NOTHING will change in the Environment.

It really is, just that simple.

Just A Reminder

Absence until 0928009

Hey folks,

Just a little reminder, I will NOT be here tomorrow, or Sunday. I have a family medical issue to deal with. I will be by my Niece's side tomorrow as she goes in for an Operation. This means I will not be here. So there will be no "From the Emails" Friday nor will there be a "Big Sunday Edition" this week.

You know, after yesterday, it's probably a good thing that I will be away for four days. Obama is starting to become hazardous to my health. Seriously. I am getting to the point where just the sight of him and his voice are starting to make me sick. What he is trying to do? Sorry. Not in MY America. But that's coming right up. Complete with the Transcript of Obama's UN Speech that I posted last night.

So again folks, no Friday nor Sunday Editions this week. But fret not, to much of some of you out there chagrins, I will be back on Tuesday 092809. See you then.

King Hussein Obama

Ruler of Obamanation, AKA, The USSA
Hey folks,

I will no longer call Barack Hussein Obama President. I no longer recognize him as President of the United States of America, land of the free, and home of the brave. America, the greatest country on the face of the planet. A country that has been bought and paid for with the blood of it's children. The country where our Fathers plowed the way. The country where our Forefathers were wise enough to create an unwavering Constitution to restrict ANY one person from gaining to much power. To avoid and protect against, the very thing, that Obama is attempting to do.

No folks, I will no longer see Obama as the 44th President of this great country. Why? Because I am convinced that HE does not see himself as that. He thinks he is God, but that aside, I am fully convinced that he actually sees himself as King.

It is not the America that we know and love that he thinks he is King of. No. He HATES that America. He denounces THAT America every time he get's a chance. He apologized for America's Greatness, works AGAINST America's Allies, and openly embraces those that want to destroy it.

No. It is not the America that was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Laws of God, and the Judeo / Christian Faith, that Obama thinks he is King of, HE wants that destroyed as well. He wants to bring about a NEW Country. A NEW America. One that has the exact OPPOSITE of the original intent of the Founding Fathers. One that possesses a centralized controlling Government. One with HIM in total and complete control. One that resembles those of the other leaders at the UN. A Tyranny.

Yes. He wants to be King of the new USSA. Obamanation. He is working at BREAKNECK SPEED to achieve this. To bring this new Obamanation into being. Seriously folks. He is attacking ALL the things that MAKES this country great. He has and is:

Taken over Private Businesses. Taken over the Financial Structure. Housing. He wants total control of Healthcare. In which case would give him TOTAL control over EVERYONE'S Daily Life. He wants to control ALL Businesses and Private Lives in the name of Saving the Planet. GWBS. By the way, did you notice all of a sudden, we are all going to die again because of Global Warming? I guess that has been taken off hold. He wants total control of Information be it from Radio, print, and even the Internet. He WANTS oppressive Taxation to make most reliant solely on Government for EVERYTHING.

These are not conspiracies. These are not the ramblings of someone with a tin foil hat and blacked out windows. These are FACTS of what he is, and is trying, to do. He is coming right out and TELLING you he is attempting to do all this. He has Czars and others in place to bring this all about. There are people in Washington working on these very things as we speak.

He would LOVE for Moammar Gadhafi's wish to become REALITY. Did you catch this yesterday? Gadhafi said he wants Obama as President for life. During his UN speech, Gadhafi said this.

"Now, the American people, the Black African Kenyan, young — voted for him and made him a President. This is a great thing, and we are proud of that.

You are the beginning of a change. He did go for a change. But as far as I’m concerned, Obama is a glimpse in the dark for the four years or the next eight years, and I’m afraid that we may go back to square one. How can you guarantee America after Obama? Can you guarantee after Obama how America will be Governed?

No one can guarantee America. We are content and happy if Obama can stay forever as the President of the United States of America."

All the Dictators applauded and spoke highly of Obama. They LOVE him. He loves THEM. It was a big love feast over there yesterday. The biggest applauds that Obama got was when HE said this.

"We continue to call on Palestinians to end incitement against Israel. And we continue to emphasize that America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements.

(APPLAUSE)

The time...

(APPLAUSE)

The time has come -- the time has come to relaunch negotiations without preconditions that address the permanent status issues, security for Israelis and Palestinians, borders, refugees and Jerusalem. The goal is clear: Two states living side by side in peace and security; a Jewish state of Israel with true security for all Israelis and a viable, independent Palestinian state with contiguous territory that ends the occupation that began in 1967 and realizes the potential of the Palestinian people."

Let me translate that for you folks. He just said that Israel is nothing more than occupiers. That they invaded the poor innocent Palestinians and STOLE their land. He just said that HIS Country, Obamanation, does not recognize Israel's settlements. America still does. He just said that we must recognize the right for the TERRORISTS that ARE the Palestinians, to exist and take Israel's land away from them. America does NOT. We already KNOW King Hussein Obama is an anti-Semite. We already know that King Husein Obama thinks of the Palestinians as comparable to poor African American Slaves. He SAID so. He has said ALL this in the past. Just like in his view, America is the cause for all the problems in the world, just like the rest of the Dictators do, he thinks Israel is the cause of all the problems in the Middle East. Just like all the other Dictators do. No wonder that was what got him the biggest applauds.

There is one little problem with Moammar Gadhafi's wish. In the REAL America, we still have Freedom. We the PEOPLE are STILL in charge. Obama can only be our embarrassment for four to eight years, then we take a shot at a new President. Now in the Obamanation, or the new USSA, Obama MAY very well become the President for life. This is why we MUST PREVENT THAT from happening. 2010 is coming fast folks. Time to make sure that the REAL Red, White, and Blue, flies high in the sky, when the smoke clears, and the America we know and love is still here.

Transcript of Obama's UN Speech

CQ Transcriptswire Transcript
Wednesday, September 23, 2009; 11:18 AM

OBAMA: Good morning. Mr. President, Mr. Secretary General, fellow delegates, ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to address you for the first time as the 44th president of the United States.

(APPLAUSE)

I come before you humbled by the responsibility that the American people have placed upon me, mindful of the enormous challenges of our moment in history, and determined to act boldly and collectively on behalf of justice and prosperity at home and abroad. I have been in office for just nine months, though some days it seems a lot longer.

I am well aware of the expectations that accompany my presidency around the world. These expectations are not about me. Rather, they are rooted, I believe, in the discontent with the status quo that has allowed U.S. to be increasingly defined by our differences and outpaced by our problems.

But they are also rooted in hope. The hope that real change is possible and the hope that America will be a leader in bringing about such change.

I took office at a time when many around the world had come to view America with skepticism and distrust. A part of this was due to misperceptions and misinformation about my country. Part of this was due to opposition to specific policies and a belief on, on certain critical issues, America had acted unilaterally without regard for the interests of others.

And this is has fed an almost reflexive anti-Americanism which, too often, has served as an excuse for collective inaction.

Now, like all of you, my responsibility is to act in the interests of my nation and my people. And I will never apologize for defending those interests. But it is my deeply held belief that, in the year 2009, more than at any point in human history, the interests of nations and peoples are shared. The religious convictions that we hold in our hearts can forge new bonds among people or they can tear us apart.

The technology we harness could light the path to peace or forever darken it. The energy we use can sustain our planet or destroy it. What happens to the hope of a single child anywhere can enrich our world or impoverish it.

In this hall, we come from many places, but we share a common future. No longer do we have the luxury of indulging our differences to the exclusion of the work that we must do together. I have carried this message from London to Ankara, from Port of Spain to Moscow, from Accra to Cairo, and it is what I will speak about today.

Because the time has come for the world to move in a new direction, we must embrace a new era of engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect. And our work must begin now.

We know the future will be forged by deeds and not simply words. Speeches alone will not solve our problem. It will take persistent action. For those who question the character and cause of my nation, I ask you to look at the concrete actions we have taken in just nine months.

On my first day in office, I prohibited without expectation or equivocation the use of torture by the United States of America.

(APPLAUSE)

OBAMA: I ordered the prison at Guantanamo Bay closed. And we are doing the hard work of forging a framework to combat extremism within the rule of law.

Every nation must know America will live its values, and we will lead by example. We have set a clear and focused goal to work with all members of this body to disrupt, dismantle and defeat Al Qaida and its extremist allies, a network that has killed thousands of people of many faiths and nations and that plotted to blow up this very building.

In Afghanistan and Pakistan, we and many nations here are helping these governments develop the capacity to take the lead in this effort, while working to advance opportunity and security for their people.

In Iraq, we are responsibly ending a war. We have removed American combat brigades from Iraqi cities and set a deadline of next August to remove all our combat brigades from Iraqi territory. And I have made clear that we will help Iraqis transition to full responsibility for their future and keep our commitment to remove all American troops by the end of 2011.

I have outlined a comprehensive agenda to seek the goal of a world without nuclear weapons. In Moscow, the United States and Russia announced that we would pursue substantial reductions in our strategic warheads and launchers. At the Conference on Disarmament, we agreed on a work plan to negotiate an end to the production of fissile materials for nuclear weapons. And this week, my secretary of state will become the first senior American representative to the annual members conference of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.

Upon taking office, I appointed a special envoy for Middle East peace. And America has worked steadily and aggressively to advance the cause of two states, Israel and Palestine, in which peace and security take root and the rights of both Israelis and Palestinians are respected.

To confront climate change, we have invested $80 billion in clean energy. We have substantially increased our fuel-efficiency standards. We have provided new incentives for conservation, launched an energy partnership across the Americas, and moved from a bystander to a leader in international climate negotiations. To overcome an economic crisis that touches every corner of the world, we worked with the G-20 nations to forge a coordinated international response of over $2 trillion in stimulus to bring the global economy back from the brink. We mobilized resources that helped prevent the crisis from spreading further to developing countries, and we joined with others to launch a $20 billion global food security initiative that will lend a hand to those who need it most and help them build their own capacity.

We have also re-engaged the United Nations. We have paid our bills. We have joined the Human Rights Council.

(APPLAUSE)

We have signed the Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We have fully embraced the Millennium Development Goals, and we address our priorities here in this institution, for instance, through the Security Council meeting that I will chair tomorrow on nuclear nonproliferation and disarmament and through the issues that I will discuss today.

This is what we have already done, but this is just a beginning. Some of our actions have yielded progress. Some have laid the groundwork for progress in the future. But make no mistake: This cannot solely be America's endeavor.

Those who used to chastise America for acting alone in the world cannot now stand by and wait for America to solve the world's problems alone. We have sought in word and deed a new era of engagement with the world, and now is the time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to global challenges.

If we are honest with ourselves, we need to admit that we are not living up to that responsibility. Consider the course that we're on if we fail to confront the status quo: extremists sowing terror in pockets of the world, protracted conflicts that grind on and on, genocide, mass atrocities, more nations with nuclear weapons, melting ice caps and ravaged populations, persistent poverty and pandemic disease.

OBAMA: I say this not to sow fear but to state a fact. The magnitude of our challenges has yet to be met by the measure of our actions.

This body was founded on the belief that the nations of the world could solve their problems together. Franklin Roosevelt died before he could see his vision for this institution become a reality. He put it this way, and I quote, "The structure of world peace should not be the work of one man or one party or one nation. It cannot be a piece of large nations or of small nations. It must be a piece which rests on the cooperative effort of the whole world."

Cooperative effort of the whole world -- those words ring even more true today, but it is not simply peace but our very health and prosperity that we hold in common. Yet we also know that this body is made up of sovereign states and, sadly but not surprisingly, this body has often become a forum for sowing discord instead of forging common ground, a venue for playing politics and exploiting grievances rather than solving problems.

After all, it is easy to walk up to this podium and point fingers and stoke divisions. Nothing is easier than blaming others for our troubles and absolving ourselves of responsibility for our choices and our actions. Anybody can do that.

Responsibility and leadership in the 21st century demand more. In an era when our destiny is shared, power is no longer a zero-sum game. No one nation can or should try to dominate other nation. No world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will succeed.

No balance of power among nations will hold. The traditional divisions between nations of the south and the north make no sense in an interconnected world nor do alignments of nations rooted in the cleavages of a long-gone Cold War.

The time has come to realize that the old habits, the old arguments are irrelevant to the challenges faced by our people. They lead nations to act in opposition to the very goals that they claim to pursue and to vote, often in this body, against the interests of their own people.

They build up walls between us and the future that our people seek. And the time has come for those walls to come down. Together, we must build new coalitions that bridge old divides, coalitions of different faiths and creeds, of northern and south, east, west, black, white, and brown.

The choice is ours. We can be remembered as a generation that chose to drag the arguments of 20th century into the 21st, that put off hard choices, refused to look ahead, failed to keep pace because we defined ourselves by what we were against instead of what we were for. Or we can be a generation that chooses to see the shoreline beyond the rough waters ahead; that comes together to serve the common interests of human beings and finally gives meaning to the promise embedded in the nation given to this institution, the United Nations.

That is the future America wants; a future of peace and prosperity that we can only reach if we recognize that all nations have rights but all nations have responsibilities as well. That is the bargain that makes this work. That must be the guiding principle of international cooperation.

Today, let me put forward four pillars that I believe are fundamental to the future that we want for our children. Nonproliferation and disbarment, the promotion of peace and security, the preservation of our planet, and a global economy that advances opportunity for all people.

First, we must stop the spread of nuclear weapons and seek the goal of a world without them. This institution was founded at the dawn of the atomic age, in part, because man's capacity to kill had to be contained. For decades, we averted disaster even under the shadow of a superpower standoff. But today the threat of proliferation is growing in scope and complexity.

OBAMA: If we fail to act, we will invite nuclear arms races in every region and the prospect of wars and acts of terror on a scale that we can hardly imagine.

A fragile consensus stands in the way of this frightening outcome, and that is the basic bargain that shapes the Nuclear Non- Proliferation Treaty. It says that all nations have the right to peaceful nuclear energy, that nations with nuclear weapons have a responsibility to move toward disarmament, and those without them have the responsibility to forsake them. The next 12 months could be pivotal in determining whether this compact will be strengthened or will slowly dissolve.

America intends to keep our end of the bargain. We will pursue a new agreement with Russia to substantially reduce our strategic warheads and launchers. We will move forward with ratification of the test ban treaty and work with others to bring the treaty into force so that nuclear testing is permanently prohibited.

We will complete a Nuclear Posture Review that opens the door to deeper cuts and reduces the role of nuclear weapons. And we will call upon countries to begin negotiations in January on a treaty to end the production of fissile material for weapons.

I will also host a summit next April that reaffirms each nation's responsibility to secure nuclear material on its territory and to help those who can't, because we must never allow a single nuclear device to fall into the hands of a violent extremist. And we will work to strengthen the institutions and initiatives that combat nuclear smuggling and theft.

All of this must support efforts to strengthen the NPT. Those nations that refuse to live up to their obligations must face consequences. Let me be clear: This is not about singling out individual nations. It is about standing up for the rights of all nations that do live up to their responsibilities, because a world in which IAEA inspections are avoided and the United Nations' demands are ignored will leave all people less safe and all nations less secure.

In their actions to date, the governments of North Korea and Iran threaten to take us down this dangerous slope. We respect their rights as members of the community of nations. I have said before and I will repeat: I am committed to diplomacy that opens a path to greater prosperity and more secure peace for both nations if they live up to their obligations. But if the governments of Iran and North Korea choose to ignore international standards, if they put the pursuit of nuclear weapons ahead of regional stability and the security and opportunity of their own people, if they are oblivious to the dangers of escalating nuclear arms races in both East Asia and the Middle East, then they must be held accountable.

The world must stand together to demonstrate that international law is not an empty promise and that treaties will be enforced. We must insist that the future does not belong to fear.

That brings me to the second pillar for our future: the pursuit of peace.

The United Nations was born of the belief that the people of the world can live their lives, raise their families, and resolve their differences peacefully. And yet we know that in too many parts of the world this ideal remains an abstraction, a distant dream.

We can either accept that outcome as inevitable and tolerate constant and crippling conflict or we can recognize that the yearning for peace is universal and reassert our resolve to end conflicts around the world.

That effort must begin with an unshakeable determination that the murder of innocent men, women and children will never be tolerated. On this, no one can be -- there can be no dispute.

The violent extremists who promote conflict by distorting faith have discredited and isolated themselves. They offer nothing but hatred and destruction. In confronting them, America will forge lasting partnerships to target terrorists, share intelligence, and coordinate law enforcement, and protect our people.

OBAMA: We will permit no safe haven for Al Qaida to launch attacks from Afghanistan or any other nation. We will stand by our friends on the front lines, as we and many nations will do in pledging support for the Pakistani people tomorrow. And we will pursue positive engagement that builds bridges among faiths and new partnerships for opportunity.

Our efforts to promote peace, however, cannot be limited to defeating violent extremists for the most powerful weapon in our arsenal is the hope of human beings, the belief that the future belongs to those who would build and not destroy, the confidence that conflicts can end and a new day can begin.

And that is why we will support -- we will strengthen our support for effective peacekeeping while energizing our efforts to prevent conflicts before they take hold. We will pursue a lasting peace in Sudan through support for the people of Darfur and the implementation of the comprehensive peace agreement so that we secure the peace that the Sudanese people deserve.

And in countries...

(APPLAUSE)

And in countries ravaged by violence from Haiti to Congo to East Timor, we will work with the UN and other partners to support an enduring peace. I will also continue to seek a just and lasting peace twice Israel, Palestine, and the Arab world.

(APPLAUSE)

We will continue to work on that issue...

(APPLAUSE)

Yesterday, I had a constructive meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Abbas. We have made some progress. Palestinians have strengthened their efforts on security. Israelis have facilitated greater freedom of movement for the Palestinians. As a result of these efforts on both sides, the economy in the West Bank has begun to grow, but more progress is needed.

We continue to call on Palestinians to end incitement against Israel.

The goal is clear: Two states living side by side in peace and security; a Jewish state of Israel with true security for all Israelis and a viable, independent Palestinian state with contiguous territory that ends the occupation that began in 1967 and realizes the potential of the Palestinian people.

(APPLAUSE)

Now, as we pursue this goal, we will also pursue peace between Israel and Lebanon, Israel and Syria, and a broader peace between Israel and its many neighbors. In pursuit of that goal, we will develop regional initiatives with multilateral participation alongside bilateral negotiations.

Now, I am not naive. I know this will be difficult. But all of us -- not just the Israelis and the Palestinians -- but all of us must decide whether we are serious about peace or whether we will only lend it lip service. To break the old patterns, to break the cycle of insecurity and despair, all of us must say publicly what we would acknowledge in private.

The United States does Israel no favors when we fail to couple an unwavering commitment to its security with an insistence that Israel respect the legitimate claims and rights of the Palestinians.

(APPLAUSE)

And nations within this body do the Palestinians no favors when they choose vitriolic attacks against Israel over constructive willingness to recognize Israel's legitimacy and its right to exist in peace and security.

(APPLAUSE)

We must remember that the greatest price of this conflict is not paid by us. It's not paid by politicians. It's paid by the Israeli girl in Sderot who closes her eyes in fear that a rocket will take her life in the middle of the night. It's paid for by the Palestinian boy in Gaza who has no clean water and no country to call his own.

OBAMA: These are all God's children. And, after all the politics and all the posturing, this is about the right of every human being to live with dignity and security. That is a lesson embedded in the three great faiths that call one small slice of Earth the Holy Land. And that is why -- even though there will be setbacks, and false starts, and tough days -- I will not waiver in my pursuit of peace.

(APPLAUSE)

Third, we must recognize that in the 21st century there will be no peace unless we take responsibility for the preservation of our planet.

And I thank the secretary general for hosting the subject of climate change yesterday.

The danger posed by climate change cannot be denied. Our responsibility to meet it must not be deferred. If we continue down our current course, every member of this assembly will see irreversible changes within their borders.

Our efforts to end conflicts will be eclipsed by wars over refugees and resources. Development will be devastated by drought and famine. Land that human beings have lived on for millennia will disappear. Future generations will look back and wonder why we refused to act, why we failed to pass on -- why we failed to pass on an environment that was worthy of our inheritance.

And that is why the days when America dragged its feet on this issue are over. We will move forward with investments to transform our energy economy, while providing incentives to make clean energy the profitable kind of energy.

We will press ahead with deep cuts in emissions to reach the goals that we set for 2020 and eventually 2050.

We will continue to promote renewable energy and efficiency and share new technologies with countries around the world. And we will seize every opportunity for progress to address this threat in a cooperative effort with the entire world.

Now, those wealthy nations that did so much damage to the environment in the 20th century must accept our obligation to lead, but responsibility does not end there. While we must acknowledge the need for differentiated responses, any effort to curb carbon emissions must include the fast-growing carbon emitters who can do more to reduce their air pollution without inhibiting growth.

And any effort that fails to help the poorest nations both adapt to the problems that climate change have already wrought and help them travel a path of clean development simply will not work.

It's hard to change something as fundamental as how we use energy. I know that. It's even harder to do so in the midst of a global recession. Certainly, it will be tempting to sit back and wait for others to move first.

But we cannot make this journey unless we all move forward together. As we head into Copenhagen, let us resolve to focus on what each of us can do for the sake of our common future.

This leads me to the final pillar that must fortify our future: a global economy that advances opportunity for all people.

The world is still recovering from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. In America, we see the engine of growth beginning to churn, and yet many still struggle to find a job or pay their bills. Across the globe, we find promising signs, but little certainty about what lies ahead.

And far too many people in far too many places live through the daily crises that challenge our humanity: the despair of an empty stomach; the thirst brought on by dwindling water supplies; the injustice of a child dying from a treatable disease; or a mother losing her life as she gives birth.

In Pittsburgh, we will work with the world's largest economies to chart a course for growth that is balanced and sustained. That means vigilance to ensure that we do not let up until our people are back to work. That means taking steps to rekindle demand so that a global recovery can be sustained. And that means setting new rules of the road and strengthening regulation for all financial centers, so that we put an end to the greed and the excess and the abuse that led us into this disaster and prevent a crisis like this from ever happening again.

OBAMA: At a time of such interdependence, we have a moral and pragmatic interests, however, in broader questions of development, the questions of development that existed even before this crisis happened.

And so America will continue our historic effort to help people feed themselves. We have set aside $63 billion to carry forward the fight against HIV/AIDS, to end deaths from tuberculosis and malaria, to eradicate polio, and to strengthen public health systems.

We are joining with other countries to contribute H1N1 vaccines to the World Health Organization. We will integrate more economies into a system of global trade. We will support the Millennium Development Goals and approach next year's summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time.

Now is the time for all of us to do our part. Growth will not be sustained or shared unless all nations embrace their responsibilities. And that means that wealthy nations must open their markets to more goods and extend a hand to those with less, while reforming international institutions to give more nations a greater voice.

And developing nations must root out the corruption that is an obstacle to progress, for opportunity cannot thrive where individuals are oppressed and business have to pay bribes. That is why we support honest police and independent judges, civil society and a vibrant private sector. Our goal is simple: a global economy in which growth is sustained and opportunity is available to all.

Now, the changes that I've spoken about today will not be easy to make, and they will not be realized simply by leaders like us coming together in forums like this, as useful as that may be.

For as in any assembly of members, real change can only come through the people we represent. That is why we must do the hard work to lay the groundwork for progress in our own capitals. That's where we will build the consensus to end conflicts and to harness technology for peaceful purposes, to change the way we use energy, and to promote growth that can be sustained and shared.

I believe that the people of the world want this future for their children. And that is why we must champion those principles which ensure that governments reflect the will of the people. These principles cannot be afterthoughts; democracy and human rights are essential to achieving each of the goals that I've discussed today, because governments of the people and by the people are more likely to act in the broader interests of their own people, rather than narrow interests of those in power.

The test of our leadership will not be the degree to which we feed the fears and old hatreds of our people. True leadership will not be measured by the ability to muzzle dissent or to intimidate and harass political opponents at home.

The people of the world want change. They will not long tolerate those who are on the wrong side of history.

This assembly's charter commits each of us -- and I quote -- "to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women." Among those rights is the freedom to speak your mind and worship as you please, the promise of equality of the races, and the opportunity for women and girls to pursue their own potential, the ability of citizens to have a say in how you are governed, and to have confidence in the administration of justice.

For just as no nation should be forced to accept the tyranny of another nation, no individual should be forced to accept the tyranny of their own people.

(APPLAUSE)

As -- as an African-American, I will never forget that I would not be here today without the steady pursuit of a more perfect union in my country. That guides my belief that no matter how dark the day may seem, transformative change can be forged by those who choose to side with justice.

And I pledge that America will always stand with those who stand up for their dignity and their rights, for the student who seeks to learn, the voter who demands to be heard, the innocent who longs to be free, the oppressed who yearns to be equal.

OBAMA: Democracy cannot be imposed on any nation from the outside. Each society must search for its own path, and no path is perfect. Each country will pursue a path rooted in the culture of its people and in its past traditions, and I admit that America has, too often, been selective in its promotion of democracy.

But that does not weaken our commitment. It only reinforces it. There are basic principles that are universal. There are certain truths which are self-evident, and the United States of America will never waiver in our efforts to stand up for the right of people everywhere to determine their own destiny.

(APPLAUSE)

Sixty-five years ago, a weary Franklin Roosevelt spoke to the American people in his fourth and final inaugural address. After years of war, he sought to sum up the lessons that could be drawn from the terrible suffering, the enormous sacrifice that had taken place. We have learned, he said, to be citizens of the world, members of the human community.

The United Nations was built by men and women like Roosevelt from every corner of the world, from Africa and Asia, Europe to the Americas. These architects of international cooperation had an idealism that was anything but naive. It was rooted in the hard- earned lessons of war, rooted in the wisdom that nations could advance their interests by acting together instead of splitting apart.

Now, it falls to us. Where this institution will be what we make of it, the United Nations does extraordinary good around the world feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, mending place that have been broken. But it also struggles to enforce its will and to live up to the ideals of its founding.

I believe that those imperfections are not a reason to walk away from this institution. They are a calling to redouble our efforts. The United Nations can either with a place where we bicker about outdated grievances or forge common ground, a place where we focus on what drives us apart or what brings us together, a place where we indulge tyranny or a source of moral authority.

In short, the United Nations can be an institution that is disconnected from what matters in the lives of our citizens or it can be an indispensable factor in advancing the interests of the people we serve. We have reached a pivotal moment. The United States stands ready to begin a new chapter of international cooperation, one that recognizes the rights and responsibilities of all nations. So with confidence in our cause and with a commitment to our values, we call on all nations to join us in building the future that our people so richly deserve.

Thank you very much, everyone.

(APPLAUSE)

Obama, Just Wrong On Everything.

Where do I even start?

Hey folks,

Yes. I mean what I said. Obama is just flat out WRONG on everything. Seriously. Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who is on the ground fighting the war in Afghanistan, says that the US must significantly increase troops levels and resources or risk failure. He is talking about 40,000 more. Obama? Well, he is thinking about a draw down of forces and attack Al Qaeda mostly with drones and special forces. But such a strategy is fraught with difficulties that make it 'unrealistic,' some say. How about IMPOSSIBLE?

Then you have this. Eight People Dead in Southeast Floods. According to the New York Times:

As the mucky red-brown waters slowly receded after days of torrential rain, Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue declared a state of emergency in 17 counties and pleaded for federal aid. The state insurance commissioner estimated that $250 million worth of damage had been done, mostly to homeowners without insurance.

As much as 15 to 20 inches of rain pounded counties around Atlanta for more than 72 hours, and while the rain subsided on Tuesday morning, authorities were still dealing with dangerous repercussions.

WHERE IS OBAMA? Has he flown over the area? Where is the OUTRAGE? What is he doing during this Natural Disaster? Where is the Federal Government? We are still talking about Katrina, and Bush? WHERE IS OBAMA? Where are the shots of the empty school buses? Where is the cry that Obama doesn't care? {Sigh}

Then this. I told you. I KEEP telling you that Obamacare WILL have the public Option, that will lead to their ultimate goal. I do NOT care what they are telling you. They are LYING. Check out this Video posted over at the American Thinker. I told you even if they take it out. They can ALWAYS put it back in at a later time. Well, David Axelrod just ADMITTED IT!

Blitzer says, "The cooperative option, a series of Health Insurance Cooperatives that wouldn't be the public option, but would be something in between? Is he going to get into a detail like that and say he likes that idea?"

Axelrod's response? "He will acknowledge the fact that there is that idea. There's the idea of putting a trigger on the Public Option so it goes into effect at some date when it's clear that the -- that a Market is uncompetitive."

So he just admitted it folks. He just said that there will be a trigger. A time when THEY decide that the Market is just not working and they will say it is needed. This is what they want. Of course they will say it is needed. But they will take it out now to try to get it passed.

I could spend all day today with "I told you sos" I really could. Back on August 31, 2009, I posted THIS. Some of you laughed. Some of you said it will never happen. Some of you REALLY did not think it was even possible. Well, well, well, looky here. According to Newsmax.com - Obama Plans Internet Grab: FCC to Embrace 'Net Neutrality'
Sunday, September 20, 2009 7:16 PM By: John O. Edwards

Since the Internet took root as a mass communications phenomenon in the mid 1990s, a quiet war has raged in Washington over the extent to which the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) would regulate the new medium.

Until, now the Internet has been largely self-regulated, and the FCC has taken a hands-off approach.

But that could change dramatically soon if the Obama administration has its way.

During the weekend, press reports revealed a stunning development: The Obama administration will announce Monday that the FCC would propose new rules to embrace what it calls "Net Neutrality."

Obama's new Federal Communications Commission chairman, Julius Genachowski, will use a speech to the Brookings Institution, a liberal think tank, to announce the FCC proposals, according to those reports.

On the face of it, Net Neutrality appears to be a popular and fair proposal.

No it doesn't. Think Fairness Doctrine for the Internet. Think CENSORSHIP. They want to shut down their opposition. They are tired of YOU learning what they are REALLY up to. What is REALLY in the Bills. They want their own State Run Media to be your only source of information. Trust me folks. It only took nearly a month for others to start reporting this.

Genachowski will "propose new rules that would prohibit Internet service providers from interfering with the free flow of information and certain applications over their networks," according to the Associated Press.

The FCC rules "would bar Internet service providers such as Verizon Communications Inc., Comcast Corp. or AT&T Inc., from slowing or blocking certain services or content flowing through their vast networks," according to the AP.

But critics contend that the proposals are nothing more than a backdoor way for the FCC to tighten federal control over the Internet by beginning with the regulation of Internet service providers.

Yup. Then they will start regulating what CAN and CAN'T be posted and shared.

The battle lines over Net Neutrality have formed along partisan and ideological lines, with some exceptions.

During the presidential campaign, Obama said he would embrace Net Neutrality — a cause championed by Google and other Silicon Valley companies that don't want large Internet service providers denying or controlling their access to Internet users.

But Republicans have largely opposed Net Neutrality, suggesting self regulation has worked well.

Yup. It HAS. How else do you think you KNOW about anything that Obama and Crew comes up with. How do you think you found out about Amnesty? Bailouts? The Fairness Doctrine? What is actually IN Obamacare? What they are REALLY trying to do to raise taxes. The Fact that they will NOT do what is necessary to lower Energy Costs? Cap and Tax? There are just so many examples. You would not know HALF of what you know NOW if not for the Internet. They can't have that.

The previous FCC chairman, Bush appointee Kevin Martin opposed Net Neutrality. He suggested it was not needed.

Conservatives see Net Neutrality as a power grab that will benefit big Internet players such as Amazon and Google while stifling smaller competitors.

The libertarian CATO Institute, in a 2004 policy analysis concluded: "The regulatory regime envisioned by Net Neutrality mandates would also open the door to a great deal of potential 'gaming' of the regulatory system and allow firms to use the regulatory system to hobble competitors. Worse yet, it would encourage more FCC regulation of the Internet and broadband markets in general."

Democrats in Congress have pushed for such controls in the past without success. In 2006 House Democrats offered an amendment to make Net Neutrality law, but the motion failed.

At the time Republicans warned of efforts to control the Internet.

"I want a vibrant Internet just like they do," Rep. Lamar Smith, a Texas Republican, said during the 2006 House debate over the issue. "Our disagreement is about how to achieve that. They say let the government dictate it . . . I urge my colleagues to reject government regulation of the Internet."

This is what they want. Just like ANYTHING else, once the Government get's their grimy little feet in the door, they move right in. Just like Roaches, once in, it is REALLY hard to get them out.

Trust me folks, if they had their way, there would be no Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage. There would be no Drudge Report, no Newsmax, no American Thinker. Anyone like me? The OPNTalk Blog would be shut down. There would be no Fox News. It would be back to the way it was. The New York Times, ABC NBC, CNN. There would be no alternative sources of information. If they catch you sharing something that goes against their agendas, they would LOVE to label you an "Enemy of the State," throw you away, out of sight and hearing. They would LOVE to have the right that someone like China possesses. They would love to be in complete and utter control of EVERY aspect of your life. They are working very hard to achieve it. We can NOT let them folks. While there is still time. 2010 is coming. We need to shut them down, before the America we know and love is gone for good.

Chevron Makes Final Investment Decision to Construct Gorgon Natural Gas Project

Emerges as One of the World's Largest Natural Gas Developments

Hey folks,

Happy Tuesday to you. Since it is Tuesday, it's time to check in From the Energy Front. This is where we discuss anything and everything energy related. This week I want to talk about Chevron. Last week they released THIS press release.

Chevron Makes Final Investment Decision to Construct Gorgon Natural Gas Project

SAN RAMON, Calif., September 13, 2009 - Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) today announced that its subsidiary, Chevron Australia Pty Ltd, will proceed with the development of the Gorgon natural gas project offshore Western Australia. Development proposals for the project were approved today by the Western Australian State Premier the Hon. Colin Barnett, MLA, and production licenses were granted by the Australian Minister for Resources and Energy the Hon. Martin Ferguson AM, MP.

"With a total resource base of more than 40 trillion cubic feet of gas and an estimated economic life of at least 40 years, Gorgon will be a major contributor to our company's future growth," said Chevron Chairman Dave O'Reilly.

"Gorgon adds significant long-term reserves and production for Chevron, bolstering our strong resource replacement and underscoring the importance of Australia to our growing natural gas business," said George Kirkland, executive vice president, Global Upstream and Gas, Chevron Corporation.

The Gorgon Project, operated by the Australian subsidiary of Chevron (50 percent*) in joint venture with Australian subsidiaries of ExxonMobil (25 percent) and Shell (25 percent), is currently estimated to cost AU$43 billion (US$37 billion) for the first phase of development. First gas is planned for 2014.

OK stop for one second. Let's look at that again. It is going to cost Chevron, $37 billion for just the first phase. That is hardly a drop in the buck. This is a gamble of the possibility of future returns based on solid Science.

The Greater Gorgon Area's projected natural gas resources are equivalent to 6.7 billion barrels of oil. The project's scope includes a three-train, 15 million-metric-ton-per-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility and a domestic gas plant.

The project underwent a rigorous and thorough environmental assessment that culminated with some of the most stringent conditions imposed on a major project anywhere in the world. The project is expected to have the world's largest carbon dioxide injection system and be a global leader in underground carbon dioxide injection technology.

The technology would allow Carbon Dioxide to be captured and injected deep underground in Geologic Formations, where it would remain trapped, instead of being released into the Atmosphere. That is EXTRA. All that costs more money than most of us would ever see in a lifetime. Stick with me on this. Back to the press release.

Chevron Corporation is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies, with subsidiaries that conduct business worldwide. The company's success is driven by the ingenuity and commitment of approximately 62,000 employees who operate across the energy spectrum. Chevron explores for, produces and transports crude oil and natural gas; refines, markets and distributes transportation fuels and other energy products; manufactures and sells petrochemical products; generates power and produces geothermal energy; provides energy efficiency solutions; and develops the energy resources of the future, including biofuels and other renewables. Chevron is based in San Ramon, Calif. More information about Chevron is available at www.chevron.com.

Let me repeat. "Chevron explores for, produces and transports crude oil and natural gas; refines, markets and distributes transportation fuels and other energy products; manufactures and sells petrochemical products; generates power and produces geothermal energy; provides energy efficiency solutions; and develops the energy resources of the future, including biofuels and other renewables."

I repeat again, what is Windfall Profit? Do you even know what that means? Seriously. Not being sarcastic here. Do you? That means you do nothing to gain profit from something. In other words, winning the Lotto, receiving an unexpected inheritance, the Government taxing Big Oil, ETC. Many trace this back to Colonial Times. The British Government controlled how much and what kind of wood they could use. However, if a storm came through and knocked down a bunch of trees, they could use them due to that being an act of God.

So? Chevron? "Chevron explores for, produces and transports crude oil and natural gas; refines, markets and distributes transportation fuels and other energy products; manufactures and sells petrochemical products; generates power and produces geothermal energy; provides energy efficiency solutions; and develops the energy resources of the future, including biofuels and other renewables." Hardly sitting back and doing nothing not to mention employing 62,000 plus jobs. Think about that next time you hear they are making Windfall Profits.

The Gorgon Natural Gas Project is a HUGH deal. Not just for Chevron, but for YOU as well. Regardless of what the Chicken Little {GWBS} crowd tells you, more supply equals lower demand, equals lower cost to YOU.

Imagine the possibilities, if we just allowed them and others, to drill HERE.

Russia Fluff, ACORN ALWAYS Corrupt

Preview for Sunday 092009

Hey folks,

This is ALL Fluff that means NOTHING. But that's NOT what you are about to hear. Welcome to the Big Sunday Edition of the OPNTalk Blog. Good to have ya. This concession of Russia will be toted as a HUGH victory for Obama. The Mainstream Media will most likely go NUTS over this.

I can even hear some of my more, uh, Liberal, friends now. "You see, you see? Obama is so wise and savvy. he convinced Russia to concede their plans to put missiles on the boarders of Poland. In his wisdom, and the reasonable thought to TALK to Russia instead of threatening them like Bush did, he even got them to condemn Iran for denying the Holocaust. You see, you see? Obama is great. Obama is wise." Blah, blah, blah. {Sigh}

The problem is though, Russia never really planed to do it. It was a threat. You {Meaning us, America} put missiles in Poland, we will put missiles NEAR Poland. Obama appeased Russia, so Russia says, OK. No missiles. So WHAT? We are the ones that lose here. They even left the door open to go back on this. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev {Figure head, Putin has the final say} has the final say as to what they decide to do. Basically, they said you do we do. Nothing more and nothing less. That does NOT make us safer nor does it help our Allies.

Again, we hear that Obama's decision to scrap the plan was based largely on a new U.S. intelligence assessment that Iran's effort to build a nuclear-capable long-range missile would take three to five years longer than originally thought. BS. I use to call a lot of what we hear out of the Government Bunk. This is not Bunk. It is complete and utter BS. They just launched a Satellite into space using the SAME or similar technology. The experts said that they were 10 to 15 years away from making a Nuke. We just learned, the experts NOW say, they could have one SOON! Obama merely used this BS report as an excuse to concede to the Russians. He has put US and our Allies in greater danger by doing so. But that is not what you will hear today. No. You will hear how great Obama is.

What about them denouncing Iran in reference to the Holocaust? So what? They told Little Hitler, "Stop that. Stop saying it is a myth and a lie. Stop telling everyone that you want to wipe them off the map. Stop telling people what you are going to do. Just DO IT."

Anyway, coming right up? Oh, this is why the Preview is so important. Some of you get it Emailed Directly to you, complete with the active links. I know that some of you out there are TRUE OPNers. You check in every day because you REALLY never know what you will see here. A lot of times, you see it here FIRST. But some of you only check out the Sunday Edition. Which is fine. Some only like the Health and Science, while some look forward to the IWA. So do not like the Energy Segments, some do not like the From the Emails. So when you get the Sunday Preview, simply clink on the link you want to read. You can skip all the rest. I of course would rather you check it ALL out, but I know TIME is sometimes a issue. {Smile}

All that in a second. While I was getting ready to post this preview, I stumbled across this. AP - Did ACORN get too big for its own good? By SHARON THEIMER and PETE YOST, Associated Press Writers Sharon Theimer And Pete Yost, Associated Press Writers – 1 hr 24 mins ago NO. They are corrupt. They are guilty of Voter Intimidation, Voter Fraud, and all kinds of illegal activities. But according to this Article.

The organization praised for its Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and treated by federal, state and local governments as a valuable public resource has had nearly $1 million embezzled by its founder's brother. The openly Democratic-leaning group has seen its employees accused of voter registration fraud, and taking it down has become a cause celebre for Republican lawmakers, activists and pundits.

As if volunteers allegedly signing up cartoon character Mickey Mouse to vote didn't give ACORN enough bad publicity, the public is enthralled with new videos appearing on the Internet and TV news shows showing ACORN employees in Brooklyn, N.Y., advising a couple posing as a prostitute and pimp to lie to get housing aid, and employees in other cities counseling the pair on tax, banking and immigration issues.

Many Democrats used to advertise their ACORN connections. Now, however, the Democratic-led Senate has voted to cut off its grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Democrat-dominated House doesn't want it to get any federal money, period.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs called the conduct in the videos "completely unacceptable" and a prominent ally of President Barack Obama, John Podesta, is on an ACORN advisory panel working to clean up the mess.

Obama IS ACORN! ACORN is a branch of OBAMA! ACORN simply needs to go away. They need to be investigated and shut down. NOT given BILLIONS of YOUR dollars. Which was Obama's original plan.

Going to fill my cup, and come right back. See you in a sec.

Dueling 'racist' claims defuse once powerful word

Problem is, one claim is REAL, the other?

Hey folks,

I have purposely, painfully, and very deliberately avoided discussing this issue. Why? Because it is pointless. This is so pathetically obvious that the LWL {Left Wing Loons} have completely LOST this debate. So? They do what they ALWAYS do. Play the Race Card.

Having a debate with someone that thinks, or claims, that anyone disagreeing with this President is Racist, is like attempting to have an intellectual debate on the topic of cold fusion with a Three Year Old. Just not possible.

It is the Left throwing the Racism label around because they TRULY think that THIS will win their argument. It is sad and pathetic. There is no truth to back it up, and they are counting on the fact that it is hard to defend against the claim. They even come right out and say, "Some are Racist, and do not even know it." BS. Complete BS.

You are, or, you are not. It really is just that simple. But they are attempting to intimidate you into going along with whatever this President wants to do. You will wear the Letter R on your chest if you do speak up or speak out.. Your coworkers will see you for what you are, ETC. Your Neighbors will shun you. You will be an outcast.

Problem is, you are NOT a Racist. You, your Family, your Coworkers, and your Neighbors KNOW you are not a Racist. Just because they DECLARE it, doesn't make it so. But this is an interesting piece from the AP - Dueling 'racist' claims defuse once powerful word By JESSE WASHINGTON, AP National Writer Jesse Washington, Ap National Writer – Thu Sep 17, 8:56 pm ET

Everybody's racist, it seems.

Republican Rep. Joe Wilson? Racist, because he shouted "You lie!" at the first black president. Health care protesters, affirmative action supporters? Racist. And Barack Obama? He's the "Racist in Chief," wrote a leader of the recent conservative protest in Washington.

But if everybody's racist, is anyone?

The word is being sprayed in all directions, creating a hall of mirrors that is draining the scarlet R of its meaning and its power, turning it into more of a spitball than a stigma.

"It gets to the point where we don't have a word that we use to call people racist who actually are," said John McWhorter, who studies race and language at the conservative Manhattan Institute.

Blame the LEFT for this.

"The more abstract and the more abusive we get in the way we use the words, then the harder it is to talk about what we originally meant by those terms," said McWhorter.

What the word once meant — and still does in Webster's dictionary — is someone who believes in the inherent superiority of a particular race or is prejudiced against others.

Yup. Like the KKK, and Obama.

This definition was ammunition for the civil rights movement, which 50 years ago used a strategy of confronting racism to build moral leverage and obtain equal rights.

Thank God for MLK! I wish we had another.

Overt bigotry waned, but many still see shadows of prejudice across the landscape and cry racism.

Even when there is none.

Obama's spokesman has rejected suggestions that racism is behind criticism of the president. But others saw Wilson's eruption during the president's speech as just that, citing his past support of segregationists and his labeling the emergence of Strom Thurmond's secret black daughter after the senator's death a "smear."

"I think (Wilson's outburst) is based on racism," former President Jimmy Carter said at a town hall meeting. "There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president."

One of the BIGGEST Violators of your point IS Carter. The Worst, soon to be Second Worst, President in HISTORY!

That's an easy charge to make against the rare individual carrying an "Obamacare" sign depicting the president as an African witch doctor with a bone through his nose. But it's almost impossible to prove — or refute — assertions that bias, and not raw politics, fuels opposition to Obama.

"You have to be very careful about going down that road. You've cried wolf," said Sean Wilentz, a Princeton University professor who studies U.S. political and social history.

"It's a way of interpreting the world, where race runs through everything — everything is about race," said Wilentz, who supported Hillary Clinton in 2008 and claimed Obama's campaign falsely accused her of stoking racial fears.

As the Left see it? YES. Not true. But the Race Card is their NUMBER ONE fall back attack, whenever they can not win in the arena of Ideals.

"Everything is not about race," he said. "It's not Mississippi in 1965 any more. Even in Mississippi it's not Mississippi in 1965 any more."

AMEN!

Still, race remains a major factor in American life, said Brian D. Smedley, director of the health policy institute at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, which focuses on people of color.

"We know from a large body of social science that a large portion of Americans harbor racial bias," Smedley said. "In the context of health reform, it's quite evident that race plays a very large role in helping shape public opinion."

NO IT DOESN'T you MORON! Policy and Ideals are what this is all about. FREEDOM, JUSTICE, and the American Way, is what this is all about. It doesn't matter to me, or most, if the President is Black, White, or Pink with Purple polka dots. He is on a quest for Tyranny, and THAT is what this is all about. Sorry. Just because you SAY Race is the driving Factor, does not make it so. Idiot!

Yet Smedley chooses not to deploy the R-word: "It's difficult to say racism is the reason (for objections to health care) because people don't believe they are racist."

Because they are NOT. The Majority of this country LIVE in 2009. You may chose to live in the 50s and 60s. But the rest of us are far more intelligent than you. We can look at people and see their Character. NOT the color of their skin. YOU are in the minority. Not us.

Many, though, have no doubt that other people are racist — even when those other people are black.

True.

The Manhattan Institute's McWhorter said that during the affirmative action battles of the 1990s, "racism" and "racist" began to be applied to liberal policies designed to redress past discrimination, then were extended to people who believed in those policies.

That's how they have come to be wielded against Obama.

No. Obama's own words and actions are what has come to oust him for who and what he is. Not Affirmative Action. Statements like "White mans greed, runs a country in need." "Return the Wealth to the country's rightful owners" ETC. His associations ousted him. He is what he is.

"A racist is a person who discriminates or holds prejudices based on race. Discrimination is treatment based on category rather than individual merit," said Tom Molloy, a 65-year-old retired financial services executive from Brentwood, N.H. "Barack Obama favors policies that will give preference to groups based on race rather than individual merit. It's called affirmative action."

Amongst many other things. Yes.

Mark Williams, one of the leaders of the Sept. 12 rallies in Washington, D.C., headlined a blog entry about the arrest of black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. at his own home by a white police officer, "Racist In Chief Obama Fanning Flames of Racism." And too many bloggers to count are saying that Congressman Jim Clyburn, who marched with Martin Luther King Jr. and has called Wilson and other health care protesters racist, is the real racist himself.

Yeah when he called the WHITE Police Officer "Stupid" because he dared arrest and out of control Black Racist Professor.

One result of this infinite loop: Actual racists can get a pass simply denying it.

{Laughing} You see what they are doing here? They are attempting to make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to deny the false charge that you are Racist. You can not deny it because of the misuse of the label. Besides, you were BORN that way, and you may not even KNOW you are Racist. You are, we said so, deal with it!

"Who does a guy have to lynch around here to get called a racist?" the writer Ta-Nehisi Coates asked in an article about charges and denials of racism in the Obama-Clinton primary.

The rise in whites accusing blacks of racism is the inevitable result of years of black identity politics, which created a blueprint for whites who feel threatened by America's changing demographics, says Carol Swain, a Vanderbilt University professor and author of "The New White Nationalism In America."

I have been telling you this for years folks. It is the Revs. It is the Media. It is the Policies that LEGALIZE Discrimination, that BREEDS Racism. It is the cases like Sotomayor's CLEARLY Bias ruling against the White Firefighters.

I have said it so many times in the past. I will say it again now. If we were to ever have true equality in this country, we must treat EVERYONE EQUALLY. The good, bad, and ugly. We have to make decisions based on Merit, and Content of Character, NOT the color of skin. Period. Racism and discrimination is just that, no matter who is on what side, and no matter how good the intentions are.

"We need to rethink what is racist and who can legitimately call whom racist," Swain said, citing the argument that blacks can't be racist because racism requires power.

"With a black president, a black attorney general, and blacks holding various power positions around the country, now might be a time when we can concede that anyone can express attitudes and actions that others can justifiably characterize as racist."

AMEN!

Look folks, I know you are tired of tuning in to the ABC {All Barack Channel} OR NBC {New Barack Channel,} CNN {Clinton News Net,,uh, Obama won, Convince Nitwits News, that Obama is God}, or, picking up the New York Slimes, LA Slimes, ETC, and hearing how YOU are a Racist and to stupid to understand that Obama is a god to you and you need to fall into place.

I know that you are tired of all the complete and utter nonsense out there that is trying to scare or intimidate you into staying home from these Rallies, speaking your mind, or even DARING to ask a question.

I know that you are tired of the LIES about what Obama's agenda IS. Being outright lied to about what is in these Bills. I know you are tired of watching this President DESTROY relationships with our longest and closest Allies, and cater to Dictators and Tyrants. I know you are telling your Representatives what you TRULY feel to only have them ignore you. Or insult you when they can no longer ignore you.

NOW is the time to ratchet it up. Now is the time to fight back. You can not let this childless attempt to insult and intimidate you by labeling you a Racist stop you. Silence you. That is what they WANT. No. Now is the time to let them know, you are not a Racist, you are THEIR BOSS, and you WILL have a say this next election. They can either listen to you know, or hear you on their way out the door.
