End of Day Roundup 11607 All Obama, All The Time

Hey folks,

Do you remember the last End Of Day Roundup I did on Friday? Although six little words got the most attention, I covered a wide range in politics. Today, with some unexpected time, I thought I’d do it again. Today is EASY.

I do not care where you go online. I do not care where you look. It’s the golden boy. The rock star, the sex symbol, Barack Hussain Obama. I stopped posting the links on the bottom. There is just too many of them. From NPR, AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, USA Today, CNN, The NYT on their Font page of their website. You get the point. This can’t be good for Hillary.

Now just a day ago, NewsMax did a story on the battle starting to brew between Hilary and Edwards.

"Sen. Hillary Clinton has launched her first direct attack on a potential Democratic presidential rival, ripping John Edwards for criticizing her stance on the Iraq war.

Hillary’s jab at Edwards came after the former senator and 2004 vice presidential candidate spoke in New York on Sunday."

Edwards said,

"Silence is betrayal, and I believe it is a betrayal not to speak out against the escalation of the war in Iraq," Edwards told a crowd at Manhattan's Riverside Church.

WAIT!!! Whatever happened to "Separation of Church and State?" Oh yeah, it only applies when it’s Republicans. Never mind

"If you're in Congress and you know that this war is going in the wrong direction . . . it is no longer O.K. to study your options and keep your own private counsel.

"Silence is betrayal. Speak out and stop this escalation now."

Now of course Hillary strikes back with,,

"In 2004, John Edwards used to constantly brag about running a positive campaign. Today, he has unfortunately chosen to open his campaign with political attacks on Democrats who are fighting the Bush administration's Iraq policy."

NewsMax speculated that,

"Clinton's quick response to Edwards indicates that her team considers him a "top-tier threat," according to the Post."

How many of you know anything that Edwards is doing or saying or even stands for? If he is a "top-tier threat," then what the hell would you call Barack Hussain Obama? According to his now VERY WELL publicized website

"For the next several weeks, I am going to talk with people from around the country, listening and learning more about the challenges we face as a nation, the opportunities that lie before us, and the role that a presidential campaign might play in bringing our country together. And on February 10, at the end of these decisions and in my home state of Illinois, I'll share my plans with my friends, neighbors and fellow Americans."

"I certainly didn't expect to find myself in this position a year ago. But as I've spoken to many of you in my travels across the states these past months; as I've read your emails and read your letters; I've been struck by how hungry we all are for a different kind of politics," Obama said in the letter. American politics has become "small" and bitterly partisan to the point of being unable to function, he wrote.

Then he said what he thinks everyone wants to hear. Again. He said,

"Our leaders in Washington seem incapable of working together in a practical, commonsense way," Obama said in a video posted on his Web site. "Politics has become so bitter and partisan, so gummed up by money and influence, that we can't tackle the big problems that demand solutions. And that's what we have to change first."

Isn’t that what your party ALREADY told us? Now that they are in, they are the biggest partisan party there is. Always have been. So what makes anyone think Obama will unite? He would have to start with his own party first. That would be a full time job. How long will American be fooled?

Reuters has an interesting read about his rise in the party. If you have time, check it out. But this cannot be good for Hillary. Look for her to start lashing out even more at him now. Look for front page Hillary tomorrow. She cannot and will not have him taking all her spotlight. Should be fun to watch
