Former President Carter Having A Bad Time.
Hey folks,
Yes, the big news of the day will continue to be President Bush sending more troops. Doom and gloom in Iraq. Along with the LWL talking about symbols, void of substance, and their continued effort to see America lose this war. I could spend the next week here myself, talking about the Presidents’s Speech and reaction of the LWL, but I summed, make that the President summed, it up in one statement. Problems, send more troops, end problem, bring ALL home. As for the LWL, well, their just plain nuts. I’m sure I will be talking more about this later, and in the days to come.
But I saw this story that I’m hoping, as much as I can knowing reality, that it may be a sign to former President Clinton. I doubt it, but you never know. What am I talking about? Do you remember back on December 8, 2006, President Carter’s adviser Kenneth W. Stein quit because of Carter’s book? According to an article in the NYT at the time,
In a two-page letter explaining his action, Mr. Stein called the book "replete with factual errors, copied materials not cited, superficialities, glaring omissions and simply invented segments." Mr. Stein said he had used similar language in a private letter he sent to Mr. Carter, but received no reply.
"In the letter to him, I told him, ‘It’s your prerogative to write anything you want when you want,’ " Mr. Stein said in a telephone interview Wednesday. "That’s not why I’m resigning."
I said,
"It’s an issue of how history should be written," {Laughing} Yeah, how about writing history, how it ACTUALLY HAPPENED. "replete with factual errors, copied materials not cited, superficialities, glaring omissions and simply invented segments." Translation time again folks, "LIES." "Fabrications." Former President Carter "Just made things up." The only problem is, one who KNOWS the truth, called him on it. We are suppose to trust Former President Carter with current foreign affairs? You’ve got to be kidding.
It turns out now, he was not the only one. According to this story by CNN- Carter Center advisers resign over book
Former President Jimmy Carter's controversial book and subsequent remarks about the Israel-Palestinian conflict have prompted the resignations of 14 people from an advisory board of the Carter Center, the 25-year-old Atlanta-based humanitarian organization.
The 14 explained their concerns, which reflect an uproar in the U.S. Jewish community over Carter's Mideast stance, in letters sent Thursday to fellow Board of Councilors members and Carter.
"We can no longer endorse your strident and uncompromising position," the letter to Carter said. "This is not the Carter Center or the Jimmy Carter we came to respect and support."
The letter to the fellow Board of Councilors, with more than 200 members, was brief and less detailed but expressed concern about Carter's book "Palestine: Peace not Apartheid."
"We are deeply troubled by the president's comments and writings and are submitting the following letter of resignation to the Carter Center," the letter said.
The problem with attempting to re-write history is that history IS history. Most of the time there is already more than ample evidences and documentation as to what ACTUALLY took place. Some try to re-write history, and some believe their version. Most of the time due to ignorance and laziness, not learning the issue, and just accepting what they say as fact.
Get this,,,
The letter to Carter accused him of abandoning his "historic role of broker in favor of becoming an advocate for one side." Carter's book confused "opinion with fact, subjectivity with objectivity and force for change with partisan advocacy," the letter said.
"Israelis, through deed and public comment, have consistently spoken of a desire to live in peace and make territorial compromise to achieve this status. The Palestinian side has consistently resorted to acts of terror as a national expression and elected parties endorsing the use of terror, the rejection of territorial compromise and of Israel's right to exist. Palestinian leaders have had chances since 1947 to have their own state, including during your own presidency when they snubbed your efforts."
So his advisers cut and run, because he has sold out to the LWL? Of course he has. He was one of the worse President in history. The Clintons, trying hard to re-write good old Bill’s history, probably encouraged him to write this book.
Let this be a warning to Bill, it only takes one. That’s right. Just one person to find morals, or say, enough is enough. One person leaves and it opens the door for more. Bill Clinton has tried to down play the fact that America and American interests were attacked over and over again durring his Pesidency. He can deny the fact he HAD bin Laden. He can deny that he was partly to blame for 9-11 through his apathy. He can attempt to say he was great for the economy. But it only takes one person to make it unravel. One person brave enough to say, I do not care if the Clintons have known countless people that have died in various ways, enough is enough. It’s time for the truth.
