It only took two years.
Hey folks,
That's right. It was just two years ago, back on July 8, 2007 when our winner won his first IWA. Why? Other than the fact he had to shut down the Government because they could not balance the Budget, he then singed into law a GWBS bill that was STRICTER than CALIFORNIA. Seriously. Then he even had the nerve to have the head of the Main power company say "People are willing to pay more." Why, in the name of saving the planet of course. I said this then.
Folks, this guy is in it for fortune and fame. Plain and simple. The sad thing is that the people for NJ will be paying for it. I’m glad I do not live there. Wait until you see your power bills, and new car prices in a few years.
Congratulations Governor Corzine, for showing yourself to being ignorant of FACTS, and attempting to make a name for yourself by using the non-existent Global Warming Scare tactic, you ARE the Idiot of the Week. Just curious, what do you drive? How big is your house? Do YOU use commercial transportation? Just wondering.
Jump ahead to today? Talk about corruption? Last week arrests of 44 people were made. They including three Mayors, two State Assemblymen, several City Councilmen and five Rabbis. Why? Charges ranging from Money Laundering to Corruption. This make Illinois look like a playground. So all this was going on right under the nose of the Governor? Yeah. Is he implemented in any of it? Not that I have heard so far, by most of those arrested work FOR the Governor, so to speak. They work for the Government. He, being the highest raking Government Official? You get the point.
Corzine, a former Goldman Sachs CEO, raised taxes and cut services, enacted idiotic Lib policies such as the Emission Standards, which nearly bankrupted NJ, he also nominated a friend and insider for Lieutenant Governor closely connected to one of the Mayors who was arrested.
Now this guy is worth more than $400 million after leaving Goldman Sachs in January 1999. He spent more than $60 million of his own money in his successful race for the U.S. Senate and an estimated $38 million in his first run for Governor.
But his incompetence of stopping Corruption can only be seen clearly when you throw into the picture his Challenger, Chris Christie. The Republican candidate for Governor is a former U.S. Attorney who made his name prosecuting corrupt Garden State politicians. 140 of them in seven years. I love this line.
"How do you think those Politicians are going to react if you send me to go and sit in the Governor's chair after we sent all of them to prison the last seven years? There's going to be a whole different atmosphere down there when there's a new hall monitor in the halls of the State House."
Talk about REAL CHANGE. Will NJ give him a chance?
"I've been working the last seven years on this, and I've seen all the garbage that's been going on in this state," Christie responded, garnering the evening's biggest round of applause from the mostly African-American and Hispanic audience.
He has a chance. And in him, NJ has a chance. But Corzine? Insane Lib Policies, Bankrupt State and a State full of corruption and fraud under his watch. Congratulations Gov. Corzine, you ARE the Idiot of the Week. For NJ's sake, I hope this is the last time you win the IWA as Governor.
