Healthcare Protesters Are Not Alone

Those who understand we need to be Energy Independent will join them.

Hey folks,

That's right folks, Those of you attending these Townhalls to kill this monster that is Obamacare are not alone. Our ELECTED Politicians, will also be reminded that Energy is the backbone of our Economy. Back on August 4, I posted The Real Reason Green Energy Is Not Possible Tomorrow Jane from API just did a great piece on Friday on the Blog over at Energy tomorrow. Here it is.

Energy Tomorrow - Rally for Jobs and Affordable Energy! By Jane Van Ryan Friday 14 August 2009

A lot of reporters and bloggers have been jumping to conclusions about the rallies being organized in the next couple of weeks. Some have written that we're "taking a cue" from the health care opponents who've been attending town hall meetings across the country. Others are accusing us of Astroturfing. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Here are facts. API and other groups have come together in a loose alliance called Energy Citizens to give Americans the opportunity to remind Congress that energy is the backbone of the nation's economy and way of life. As part of the effort, local individuals and organizations will be participating in "Rallies for Jobs and Affordable Energy" in 19 states during the congressional recess.

These rallies will provide a forum for people from all walks of life to voice their opposition to the
House-passed climate bill and to urge the Senate to support climate policies that protect jobs and affordable energy. Multiple studies have shown that the House bill will cost in the range of 2 million American jobs and raise gasoline and diesel prices up to $4 a gallon.

These rallies are not going to be shouting matches between members of Congress and their constituents. Rather they are an opportunity for Americans--truckers, farmers, small business owners, energy workers, homemakers and seniors--to voice their dissatisfaction over the House climate bill, urge the Senate to get it right, and to stand up for the American Dream.

Those of us who live in America are among the luckiest people on Earth. And Energy Citizens are people whose daily lives and ability to carry on business depend on affordable energy and an economy that provides employment opportunities. Some of the groups that are participating in the rallies the American Farm Bureau Federation, National Association of Manufacturers, and American Trucking Associations, among many others.

There are those who would like to suggest that any views contrary to their own should be discounted or viewed as contrived. In our view, a broad-based, robust discussion of the issues--including American jobs and affordable energy--is the best way to develop sound policy. So, tell us what you think openly and transparently, but be sure to follow the comment guidelines.

I'm going to attend some of the rallies starting next week, and I will share my observations with you.

As I said on July 28 Energy Taking A Back Seat To Health

"Seems our immediate need for Obamacare, AKA Socialized Medicine as all but put Waxman - Markey, or any other program that is sure to kill the economy, on the back burner. Seems all Obama, the Liberal Leadership, and some, a reducing number by the way, of the Mainstream Media, want to do is attempt to shove Obamacare down our throats.

But we can not let up on our Energy Independence. We MUST have it. California is RIGHT. Their state is bankrupt. Why? Due to Liberal Loon policies, over spending, and being beholden to LWL Kook groups. Their solution? DRILL!"

Well America's Economy is in trouble, just like California. Obamacare as well as Cap and Tax will all but KILL it. We must not let up on either of these INSANE attempts by some in "Leadership" to enact these policies that will all but insure the further eroding of our Freedoms and Economy. We must stop BOTH.

As I pointed out to you in the post IWA for Sunday 081609, even some of those on the Left in Leadership KNOW this is bad. They want to split up the Energy Bill floating around. But the actual Leadership seems to want to push their agenda at any cost.

Just like Obamacare, as they meet opposition, some want to start dropping this or that. Obamacare? "The Death Panels" and now maybe even the "Public Option" Energy? Split Cap and Tax with other "Environmental Issues" such as conservation and Carbon Credits, ETC. They know that in the end, because of YOU, they really do not have the Votes. Now is the time to keep it up folks. Increase the pressure. Let these people know, we do not want ANY of it. They Vote for these insane Bills, you will Vote them out.
