God Speed Tim Russert

You WILL be sorely missed

Today is truly a sad day. The passing of a Great American.

Timothy John Russert, Jr. was an American journalist who hosted NBC's Meet the Press for 16 years. EVERYONE knew Tim Russert. He was NBC News' Washington Bureau Chief and also hosted the self-titled CNBC/MSNBC weekend interview program Tim Russert. He was a frequent correspondent and guest on NBC's The Today Show, Hardball, the Sean Hannity Radio Program, among many others.

He was liked and VERY respected by nearly all. He was not afraid to ask the hard questions and never backed down nor gave up in his never ending quest for the truth.

On election night, millions turn to Russert for the coverage that they KNEW they could count on. He was always seen as someone who shot from the hip with a stiff upper lip. But, as I try to do always, he always backed it up with FACTS. People just actually TRUSTED him.

A Great Author who will most likely be remembered most for "Big Russ and Me" then the follow up "Wisdom of Our Fathers: Lessons and Letters from Daughters and Sons" A compilation of letters he received from those that were more than deeply touched by his stories of his Dad and him.

It truly is a sad day in politics, news, and humanity itself is saddened by this incredible loss.

Yes folks, Tim Russert died today, Friday, June 13th, 2008 from an apparent Heart Attack. May his family receive the peace they need in this time of great loss. They are in our prayers and in our hearts.

God Speed Mr. Russert. You WILL be sorely missed by millions.
Peter
