An Update. You and SBA Win One

Hey folks,

Remember back on May 5, 2008, I told you about Title X and the fact that Planned Parenthood seemed to be having some racial tendencies? I posted Plan Parenthood Racist?

“Every day … over 1,500 black babies are murdered inside the black woman’s womb,” said Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, of Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND). “This is a race issue.”

The pastors urged Congress to initiate an audit of the organization and have written letters demanding that money for Planned Parenthood be eliminated from federal Title X funding, of which the group got $65 million for fiscal year 2007, according to pro-life Concerned Women of America. In total, Planned Parenthood received $300 million in government contracts and grants in the current fiscal year.

That's a lot of money to commit legal murder. Some of it comes from YOU. It doesn't matter if you are for or against it. You are still helping pay for it.

Title X is still out there and going strong. This still needs to be stopped. Abortion, just like raising taxes, Amnesty, and other very unpopular programs are hidden in Bills all the time and attempted to be passed into law by members of Congress without notice of those that may object. AKA- YOU.

The War funding Bill was such an example. Supporting our troops? Well, along with even MORE funding for Planned Parenthood. But just like Amnesty, when YOU learned about it, YOU stopped it.

Pro-Abortion Provisions left out of War Funding Bill

Dear Peter,

A few weeks ago, I emailed you about the war supplemental which is intended to fund our troops. I told you how the pro-abortion Senate majority leadership added provisions that would pad the pockets of Planned Parenthood and other health clinics, like those on college campuses. The House just decided to delete this provision from their version of the bill!

This is great news and it's thanks to people like you who tell your Members of Congress you are not going to stand for these tactics.

The provision states that health clinics will receive abortifacients like RU-486 at a discounted price. The clinics often up the price a bit so they can rake in the extra cash for other dubious practices, like abortion.

We won this time around, but Congress has other ways to fund Planned Parenthood, like the Title X program. Title X provides family planning funding to abortion clinics, which frees up money for more abortions.

Go here and tell your Congressman to vote against increased funding for Title X.

By taking action, you become the voice for the voiceless. Thank you for all you do for the cause of Life. Without grassroots efforts by people like you, it would be politics as usual in Washington.

Just like with Amnesty, this Bill, now most recently the demand to lift the Drilling Ban, we need to remind them. Title X needs to be stopped as well. Planned Parenthood, nor any organization that commits slaughter of innocent life should NOT be funded with money from those that are opposed to it.
