Would This Be An Issue With Allah?

I doubt anyone would care if it was Jehovah

Hey folks,

Seems we have yet another attack on Christianity and the Loons are coming out to denounce Obama's Choice of Pastor, AGAIN. This time is not because he made Racially offensive remarks. This time is not because he is against Homosexuality. No, this time is because he may very well use the name Jesus Christ.

Imagine that. A Christian Pastor invoking the name Jesus. If this was not out right and open discrimination and hate toward anything Christian, it would be funny. But it IS just another attack on Christianity. The one Religion that seems to be in open season 24 7 in this country.

Do you think this would be an issue if the "Man of God" was a Rabbi? A Muslim? Do you think that these PC Drones would DARE say anything about Allah or Jehovah? I doubt it. But because the dreaded and feared name of Jesus may be spoken, the kooks are coming out of the woodwork.

When asked about this, Warren said this.

"I'm a Christian pastor so I will pray the only kind of prayer I know how to pray. Prayers are not to be sermons, speeches, position statements nor political posturing. They are humble, personal appeals to God."

Well I hope he does use the name Jesus. That is what the Word tells us to do when praying. All things go through Jesus. So why would a Christian Pastor NOT use the name Jesus?

So who has a problem with this? Other "Men Of God" of other faiths? Nope. As a matter of fact, the majority of them are OK with it. No, it's the Kooks. You know, Idiots like Atheist Michael Newdow. You remember him? He is the guy that sued, and failed miserably, when at George W. Bush's 2001 Inauguration, the Revs. Franklin Graham and Kirbyjon Caldwell were criticized for invoking Christ. Graham ended with this.

"We pray this in the name of the Father, and of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Spirit."

Oh yeah, that's offensive. {Sigh} This is also the guy that sued and failed to have God removed from our money. I have no problem with this Idiot choosing to not believe. We all live our lives and reap what we sow. But for him to attempt to FORCE EVERYONE to believe his stupidity, that to me is offensive.

The bottom line here is simple. If Obama wants to show that he is a Christian, a man of Faith, and if he truly is comfortable with his pick of Preacher to give the Inauguration Prayer, then he needs to allow that Preacher to give the Prayer the way that the Prayer should be given. If someone like Michael Newdow does not like it, he need not watch.
Peter
