No Plan, No Policies, Just Katrina

Hey folks,

The two big news stories today are going to be Israel buying two nuclear subs, and the "new" Democratic strategy of using the one year anniversary of Katrina against the President and EVERY Senate race across the country. The reason for "Katrina" is simple. But look at what they are saying,

Howard Dean said,

"The bad thing is that no matter what happens in Iraq, Katrina is done. It happened. You can't undo it. It's a huge scar."

"People lost confidence in the president after Katrina and the president never recovered and regained the trust of the American people. Katrina ended any effective ability by Republicans to appeal to African-Americans,"

Rep. Henry Waxman of California said,

"There is no question that incompetence by the Republican administration and their leaders in Congress, the lack of open government and honest leadership is a campaign issue,"

The President’s response?

"I also want people to remember that a one-year anniversary is just that, because it's going to require a long time to help these people rebuild."

I agree with Ross Baker, a political scientist at Rutgers University, who said,

"The memories that are going to be awakened by the anniversary are not memories that the administration wants to focus on," But he said if Bush doesn’t answer the critics or deal with the issue, "he'd be accused of cowardice."

But here is the truth folks. If you scratch the surface on this or any other strategy that the Looneys use between now and both 06 and 08, you will find? Nothing. Do they tell you what they would have done differently? Do they tell you what they WILL do differently if another "Katrina" happens? Do they tell you the Mayor’s responsibility in the whole mess? Remember the school buses sitting there? Remember he told his people that if another "Katrina" happens they are on their own? What about the fact they had DAYS notice to get out, and many CHOSE to stay?

No my friends, they tell you nada. They do not tell you how they would or will do things differently in Katrina, the war, the domestic policies. They tell you nada, because they have nada. Just attack, attack, attack.

The whole Katrina thing is good rhetoric. The Mass Media will eat it up. The Looney bloggers will have a field day. But what do the Looneys offer as an alternative? What is they plan when they get into office? Ask them. Basically, impeach Bush, then?????

If the American people truly want to vote for change, you need to tell them what you will change. How you will change it. They are not doing this, because they have no clue. Amazing.
