Connecticut Primary Tomorrow
Hey folks,
Tomorrow is the day. Lieberman / Lamont, head to head. It’s starting to look like it will not be such a cake walk after all. The lead that Lamont enjoyed has gone from twelve to six. Could it be the "black face" thing? Could it be that the voters are getting ready to do this for real? You see. It’s easy to talk up to the actual election. But when it’s go time, that is when the rubber hits the road. That is when the people elect one to dive in and take over, and the other, down the road. This is when reality hits people. They realize that this is for real.
Now I’ve been doing a lot of talking about Lieberman. I like Lieberman, I do not always agree with him, but I like him. As I said before, all this stuff going on? It all may be good for him in the end. He may truly be one who could rise up and get more votes as an Independent than any other in history, and may actually win. This would be a positive move for those who hate party politics, and are looking for something new. It could also be a sign to both parties, STOP PLAYING GAMES . . .
I talked about how the LWL is attacking him. They are publically saying, and I love this one, "if you win the primary, we will support you, but if you do not, we will not." This is not hard to understand. They care about NOTHING but getting back in power. Now I know that both sides want to be in power. It’s politics. But I have NEVER seen a more power hungry filled movement. They do not care about the war. They do not care about the country. They do not care about you. All they care about is bringing down Bush and getting power. That’s it.
If you want an example of what happens if a card-carrying member of the LWL takes over, ask New Jersey. From July 1, 2006,
NJ has shut down. That’s right folks, the Gov. Jon S. Corzine closed the state government today because a constitutional deadline to adopt a new balanced budget passed without agreement. Gov. Corzine signed an executive order just after 9:30 a.m. to "Shut it down." This following weeks of budget squabbling among Democrats who control state government but haven't been able to agree on a budget bill. Without a balanced budget, the state has no authority to spend money. The shutdown lasts until a budget agreement is signed.
Immediately about 45,000 state employees were furloughed. State courts were closed for anything but emergencies. State-run parks, beaches and historic sites were to be closed by Wednesday, but were expected to remain open through the July Fourth holiday. Motor vehicle offices planned to close at noon. You get the point.
All the LWL want is to be in power. You will see taxes go up. Money wasted on the attempt to impeach the President. Cut, run, and surrender in the war. Seriously, look at NJ. They have no plan, no true message, other than impeaching the President. Someone like Lieberman, intelligent, natural leader, and of course sane, does not fit their agenda. Anyone that will to try to reach out and work together with those they disagree with, is not a LWL, therefor the want they destroyed.
By the way, remember the article I wrote on July 7, 2006? "They Even Eat Their Own"? That seems to be the new catch phase as of late. I heard Hannity say it. I have heard Rush had said it. I even hear that good old Bill said it. Not, of course, that I had anything to do with it {Smile}
Seriously though, if you are a Democrat, and you are sane, vote for Lieberman. If Lamont wins, you will have a LWL in full gear taking over. He has even brought out Sharpton. Now Lieberman IS a Democrat. He said it. He said,
"When I disagree with my colleagues, I have the courage of my convictions to say so. If you wait to get 100 percent of what you want around here, you'll never get anything. I'm a Democrat, and I will remain a Democrat until death do us part,"
I am actually excited about this one. If Lamont wins, it could actually be the death of the Democratic party as we know it. Lieberman will run as an Independent, and could very well win, and the takeover will be nearly complete.

I was listening to Washington Journal on C-Span and several people called in saying that they would support Leiberman instead of Lamont. Only time will tell who will win the primary.
It seems that the sheepie that follow the democrat leadership may want to vote for Lamont but any self repecting democrat who wants more than a clone like Carol Moseley Braun who came from my state of Illinois who did nothing in office but rubber stamp what the democrat leadership wanted.
