Bushwhacker’s Free Pass.

Hey folks,

Well, not too much time today. Sorry. First, Ernesto turned in to being nothing really more that a breezy and wet day. Thank God for that. People here in south Florida are extremely thankful for that. {Regardless of what Max Mayfield, director of the National Hurricane Center says.}

The "Big News" today is Iran being defiant, and the Hitler wannabe President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's assertions that they will not stop their Nuclear program no matter what,

"The Iranian nation will not accept for one moment any bullying, invasion and violation of its rights," Ahmadinejad told a crowd of thousands in the northwestern city of Orumiyeh.

He also said enemies of the country were trying to stir up differences among the Iranian people, but "I tell them: you are wrong. The Iranian nation is united."

"They claim to be supporting freedom but they support the most tyrannical governments in the world to pursue their own interests," he said, referring to the United States. "They talk about human rights while maintaining the most notorious prisons. Those powers that do not abide by God and follow evil are the main source of all the current problems of mankind."
Quotes from here

AP, Reuters, CNN, and many others, pick one and go there. They are all saying the same thing. The UN sanctions will not work. Iran don’t care, and Russia and China will not allow them to take place anyway. Same thing I’ve been telling you all along.

But this Anti Bush Shirt article got my attention. Not so much that it shows how looney some have become in their absolute hatred for President Bush, but the clear double standard. This is why dress codes in schools are good.

According to the article,

"The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favour of Zachery Guiles, who through his parents claimed his free speech rights had been violated when school officials made him put duct tape over parts of his T-shirt that showed a Bush image surrounded by cocaine, a razor blade, a straw and a martini.

Guiles, who as a seventh grader in 2004 wore the T-shirt to Williamstown Middle High School in Vermont once a week for two months after purchasing it at an anti-war rally, appealed the case after a lower court ruled in favour of the school.

The school argued the images were offensive because they undermined the school's anti-drug message."

The school has every right to tell a student what to wear. They have every right to tell a student to change their shirt for whatever reason. They do it all the time. Do you think that the court would rule in favor of a "Jesus loves you shirt"? Or a "Abortion is murder" {Also a political statement} shirt? Or better yet, what about a T-shirt depicting Illegal Aliens sneaking across the boarder, saying "Secure our Boarders."? These are all "Free Speech".

No folks, my above examples falls under the "Not PC" category. They would be deemed "offensive, distracting, whatever" and be banned. But someone who, is not old enough to do much more than what they are told to do, wears a shirt depicting the President as a druggie, alcoholic, crook and liar, and they are given a free pass. Yes, you hate, or mommy or daddy told you too, Bush, you need to be given a free pass. Hate away little Bushwhacker, hate away..

I wouldn't say all of mankinds problems but this quote pretty much hits the nail on the head.

The US does run the prisons mentioned.
The government does do all that is mentioned in the quotes you offered.
Problem is they see the US as a nation waiting to invade them.
I can't blame them for wanting to protect themselves. Also have you ever given any thought to the idea that things in the middle east would not have gone so bad so fast if georgie boy had not gone cowboy on Iraq? Yes, go get bin laden.I think most agree we had a legitamate reason for that. But when that doesn't work out, what, go finish daddy's war? when that isn't working continue the same behavior and expect different results in iran?
You know that is like the definition of insanity I think........

Hey Betty,

Not much time, but I have to respond. Like I said, this is a classic example of the lunacies I refer to. You say “I can't blame them for wanting to protect themselves.” They are NOT protecting themselves. They are attacking others. They say they want Israel wiped of the map, they want us dead. “Little Hitler” is not a guy just sitting back attempting to lead a peaceful co-existence. The connection between Muslim extremists and the actual Nazi party in WW2 is clear. Iran’s President “Little Hitler” wants the same thing his hero wanted, total domination. Period.

As for the Middle east being more peaceful had we not gone in, that is a purely ignorant concept that you have been listening to. Who do you think has been attacking us for the past 20 years? Who do you think attacked us and killed 3000 plus American lives on our own soil? The difference now is, we have a President that decided enough was enough, and we started pushing back.

The rest of you response is simply “hate bush” rhetoric. It is working, we have not been attack since 9/11. Terrorist, including Iran, KNOW that if they push, Bush will completely “Wipe them off the face of the map”.

It amazes me. Let me ask you a question. Is it ok, in you honest opinion, to discriminate against someone for the reason of race, sexual orientation, religion, or any other reason?

Oh and by the way, what do you think of the whole T-Shirt thing?
