Just flat out WHY?

Hey folks,

It's Sunday, time for the IWA. This weeks winner is someone I actually really like. I have enjoyed nearly all his movies, and find him to be one of the few people that can really make me laugh.

So why is he worthy of the IWA? Simple. He has come right out and said, that people need to be controlled. Yup. He actually said it. Forget about freedom. Forget about independence. Forget about the personal Spirit. In his mind, his people need to be controlled.

BOAO, China – Action star Jackie Chan said Saturday he's not sure if a free society is a good thing for China and that he's starting to think "we Chinese need to be controlled."

Chan's comments drew applause from a predominantly Chinese audience of business leaders in China's southern island province of Hainan.

I'm sure it most likely is drawing applauds from some right here in this country as well.

The 55-year-old Hong Kong actor was participating in a panel at the annual Boao Forum when he was asked to discuss censorship and restrictions on filmmakers in China. He expanded his comments to include society.

"I'm not sure if it's good to have freedom or not," Chan said. "I'm really confused now. If you're too free, you're like the way Hong Kong is now. It's very chaotic. Taiwan is also chaotic."

Chan added: "I'm gradually beginning to feel that we Chinese need to be controlled. If we're not being controlled, we'll just do what we want."

Why is Freedom becoming a four letter word? I just do not get it. People are starting to come right out and say Socialism is good. People, mostly Libs, in this country are standing and applauding EVERYTIME Obama strips away another Right. They actually defend the Government becoming bigger and bigger. They applaud with complete ignorance as the Government is slowly becoming a Centralized Controlling Government in control of more and more of things the Government has no business being in control of.

Congratulations Jackie Chan, here is another award you can add to your collection. You ARE the Idiot of the Week. Now, go make another movie so I can laugh and forget how stupid that comment is.
