IWA for Sunday 020809

So transparent it is ridiculous

Hey folks,

It's Sunday, time for the IWA. This weeks winner is all tick off. He is upset that people are upset with his pick for high position of power and authority in the Obama Administration. I mean really, there is no conflict of interest here. NONE. Nope, she is just the most qualified person there is for the Head of the Labor Department.

{Sigh} Yup. I'm talking about AFL-CIO President John Sweeney. Johnny is all upset that people seem to see a conflict of interest with Labor Secretary nominee Hilda Solis. For some odd reason they see a problem with the fact that Obama himself set certain guidelines, and policies that bar Lobbyists from being in his Administration and those that are, {Sigh} from taking part in debate of things that they Lobby for.

Nope. I really do not get it. I mean, Hilda Solis is only a board member and Treasurer of American Rights at Work, a group pushing federal legislation that would make it easier for workers to organize unions. Card Check. That could not possibly be a conflict there now could there be?

So OK. Let's say she agrees to stay out of the debate over the Employee Free Choice Act. Let's say that her Husband JUST NOW paying back taxes is not an issue. Oh, wait. Solis insists she will not stay out of the debate. {Laughing} So basically she is saying SCREW Obama's policies and guidelines. Screw anyone that doesn't like it. I will Lobby for the Unions AS the Labor Secretary.

Folks, Obama's Administration is becoming more and more transparent as time ticks by. Doesn't it? So this week I'm going to award the head of biggest Unions out there. John Sweeney.

Johnny, you can scream on the roof tops, anything you want, but the fact is we {The American People} know who you are and what you are about. You want your own in there to make it easier for you to SCREW the American Workers. You THINK that with her in the office of Labor Secretary, the Unions will be able to just walk into ANY business and FORCE a TAKEOVER of that business.

My experience with Unions is that all the Unions of Today do, is collect Dues, screw up things that the Employer already offers by forcing unreasonable demands. It has been my experience that the Unions of Today are outdated and useless dinosaurs that still want their piece of the pie. Just ask the Auto Industry. How much money have YOU made on the hard working backs of the American workers?

To come right out and demand that Congress approves YOUR person is completely Idiotic. Hence, YOU are the Idiot of the Week. Congratulations Johnny, now don't you have some small business to put out of business?
Peter
