Display of Logic Award of the Year 2010

Why not?

Hey folks,

We are about to wrap up the year, sort of, with the Idiot of the Year for 2010. Well, with every IWA we try to present the Display of Logic Award to the deserving Individual of the Week as well. So? Since we have an IYA, why not a DLA for the Year 2010. There are as many to chose from as the IWA, so the deliberation was just as intense.

And the Runners up are?

Number 5 - Paul Ryan (R - WI) DLA for Sunday 022810

For having the intelligence to understand the reality of what Obamacare is all about, the guts to tell Obama the truth, and the articulation to get your message out so ANYONE can clearly understand it, YOU Paul Ryan, are the 5th Runner Up of the Display of Logic Award for 2010. You truly were Brilliant, Bold, and RIGHT.

Number 4 - Chris Littleton, the President of the Cincinnati Tea Party. DLA for Sunday 092610

When responding to the accusations that Tea Partiers are racist or hateful, he said that they are a "projection" of opponents' own thoughts and he'd be willing to explain to Redfern why the health care law is problematic to Tea Party participants.

He is one hundred percent right. Who are the TRUE Racists? All the way back from Slavery up to now? The Left. Sorry, just the facts. Whom is it that sees EVERYTHING through Race? The Left. Whom is it that doesn't believe in personal Freedom to make choice, and live the way you chose? The Left. Whom it is that attacks Blacks, Females, and other Minorities that do not agree with their Agendas? The Left. Whom is it that see no problem attacking one based SOLELY on their Religion? Yup, you guested it. The Left. He said this as well.

"These leaders and candidates can't stand on facts or logic, so they use hate and insults," Littleton said in a statement. "When you believe in principles of liberty, you don't have any reason to hate or demean. We don't need to make appeals to emotion because we can rely on history and fact."
He couldn't have made it more clear. He couldn't be more right.

Number 3 - Richard Viguerie DLA for 013110
Viguerie praised the Tea Party movement for providing new energy to conservative grassroots throughout the nation.

"You've brought fresh, new reinforcements into the battle against big, corrupt government," he told the group.

Viguerie credited the Tea Party for helping stop many liberal initiatives from quickly being enacted into law.

"If there had been no Tea Party opposition to the President's legislative program, Obamacare, Cap and Trade, Union Card Check, and much more federal spending would probably have been enacted into law in 2009," he said.
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Now he says "Tea Party opposition." But what he means is YOU. Thanks to YOU "Obamacare, Cap and Trade, Union Card Check, and much more federal spending would probably have been enacted into law in 2009." You ARE the Tea Party. Average everyday EDUCATED VOTERS, are what slowed down the Obama train wreck.
Viguerie told the Tea Party leaders that they should work to be a third force in politics but should not try to organize themselves into a third party. "A third party would be a disaster for the cause of limited government," he warned.
He main message was to change the Republican Party. Not form a Third. But bring the Republicans back to their Conservative Roots.

Number 2, and the Runner up? Gov. Chris Christie DLA for 021410

Calling New Jersey's budget a "shambles," Gov. Chris Christie announced Thursday he is immediately freezing all state spending.

Saying New Jersey is on the verge of bankruptcy, Christie declared a fiscal emergency, announcing drastic cuts. Among them, aid to school districts that have excess surpluses.

"Today we are going to act swiftly to fix problems too long ignored. Today I begin to do what I promised the people of New Jersey I would do," Christie said.
That is just the Beginning. Truth is, I LOVE this guy. He was my pick for the Winner of the Year. We need MORE people in power with his mentality. With his courage to answer the tough questions. His ability to make the tough choices. Yes, I HOPE that those we elected into the House will look to Chris Christie as an example of how to do the RIGHT things.

So who could POSSIBLY beat him? THIS GUY!

And Our Winner of the Display of Logic Award for 2010? Aldo Magazzeni DLA for Sunday 011010
During the last five years, the 60-year-old co-owner of a New Jersey manufacturing firm has arranged for some 75,000 people in remote areas of Afghanistan to be connected to community water systems.

His efforts helped to end the toil of fetching water and to reduce water-borne diseases, particularly among children.
Now here is a guy who truly cares. So he hooked up with some Government Program, got subsidies, and is doing some good with some of your money. Right? Nope.

The key to his success, he says, is not large sums of money or the involvement of international aid organizations, but his willingness to cultivate relationships with communities and to persuade them to donate the labor that has reduced costs to a fraction of what a commercial contractor would charge.

Magazzeni estimates the total cost of 12 water systems built so far at $80,000, in contrast to at least $500,000 that he says would have been charged commercially.
{Laughing} You know, I have often wondered about that. I can build a house that is a pretty good size house for around $100, to $200,000 dollars. Yet, a Subcontractor for the Government, will build the SAME size structure, be it for a court house, school, whatever, and it'll cost $1,000,000. Why? So this guy has done 12 water systems, for $80,000 that would have taken a half a million. YOU Sir, should be the winner of the Noble Peace Prize. You Sir, have actually accomplished something great. for now you will have to settle for the Display of Logic Award for 2010.
Peter
