DLA For Sunday 062010

This Week we have two.

Hey folks,

There are actually quite a few that have started to show displays of Logic. Quite a few that have stepped up and said SCREW the insane agenda driven BS, we are going to do what is RIGHT and what is Logical.

First up, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. Over and over again, he has been met with silence and denial from Obama and Crew. He started building the Barrier Islands on his own when the Federal Government would not OK it. Then Obama tried to take credit for it. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal then hired 16 Barges, that were ALL capable of sucking up 96 THOUSAND gallons of oil a day. That's 1,560,000 gallons a DAY!. So what happened? The Federal Government, Obama, came in and shut them down. They wanted to make sure they had enough Safety Vests on board. Then, to their credit, ABC News got involved.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has spent the past week and half fighting to get working barges to begin vacuuming crude oil out of his state's oil-soaked waters. By Thursday morning, against the governor's wishes, those barges still were sitting idle, even as more oil flowed toward the Louisiana shore.

Louisiana Governor Jindal frustrated over decision-making red tape. "It's the most frustrating thing," the Republican governor told ABC News while visiting Buras, La. "Literally, [Wednesday] morning we found out that they were halting all of these barges."

Sixteen barges sat stationary Thursday, although they had been sucking up thousands of gallons of BP's oil as recently as Tuesday. Workers in hazmat suits and gas masks pumped the oil out of the Louisiana waters and into steel tanks. It was a homegrown idea that seemed to be effective at collecting the thick gunk.

"These barges work. You've seen them work. You've seen them suck oil out of the water," said Jindal.

Coast Guard Orders Barges to Stop
So why stop now?

"The Coast Guard came and shut them down," Jindal said. "You got men on the barges in the oil, and they have been told by the Coast Guard, 'Cease and desist. Stop sucking up that oil.'"
After ABC News got involved, the Barges were given the Green light. After sitting for 24 hours. That would have been 1,560,000 gallons that were gone and stood no chance of effecting the land.

But we already know that the EVIDENCE is CLEAR. Obama doesn't WANT this cleaned up. He WANTS this to take as long as it can. Why? To further his insane agenda and push for Cap and Tax. Which brings us to winner two. Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi.

Obama is all ticked off, because he knows time is NOT on his side. The faster the Oil is cleaned up, and the faster attention is returned to his domestic FAILURES. The faster more and more people will turn against him. November is coming, and by all rights, the Loons are out. So he is pushing for Cap and Tax, which I told you about before, while he can still show Oil soaked Birds and Shorelines. But some honest and intelligent people in Congress is not willing to let this happen. The Republicans killed the latest Vote for Extension of Unemployment Compensation, and to lift a $75 million cap on what Oil Companies must pay to families and Small Businesses affected by an oil spill. He wants it to be open ended, so he can suck THEM dry. The Bill would also take steps toward Cap and Tax. So of course, Obama blames Republicans, and attempts to scare you into believing that HE is here for YOU.

"Unfortunately, the Republican leadership in the Senate won't even allow this legislation to come up for a vote," the president said in his weekly radio and Internet address. "And if this obstruction continues, unemployed Americans will see their benefits stop. Teachers and firefighters will lose their jobs. Families will pay more for their first home."
Then when asked about this, Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi said this.

"I'm glad President Obama is finally putting this catastrophe at the top of his agenda, but his response has been too slow," Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi said. Wicker criticized Obama for pushing for an energy bill and increases in oil cleanup fees and for calling for a moratorium on deep-water drilling, which he said would cost jobs and raise the price of energy
ABSOLUTELY! Finally someone in Congress using Logic and Reason. That's refreshing to see. Congratulations Gov. Bobby Jindal, and Sen. Roger Wicker. For not only having the ability to THINK, you have shown the courage it takes to stand up for that belief, and do the right thing. You are BOTH the winners of this week's Logic Award. Keep up the good work.
Peter
