Kudos To St Louis, and Port Salerno Seafood Fest

Preview for Sunday 012912

Hey folks,

I have to give a few Kudos out today. First, to St Louis. They have decided to pay respects to those in deserving of Thanks and Respect. According to the AP - St. Louis parade on Iraq War's end draws thousands By JIM SALTER

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Looking around at the tens of thousands of people waving American flags and cheering, Army Maj. Rich Radford was moved that so many braved a cold January wind Saturday in St. Louis to honor people like him: Iraq War veterans.

The parade, borne out of a simple conversation between two St. Louis friends a month ago, was the nation's first big welcome-home for veterans of the war since the last troops were withdrawn from Iraq in December.
Amen. Way to go. Whatever you think of the War, you HAVE to respect those that paid the Price. Those that stood up and said I will go. Those that simply did what their Commander and Chief told them to do. I said it before, I will say it again. Hate the War all you want, but support the TROOPS. Thank you St Louis. Unlike Mayor Blooming Idiot of NYC who said no. One of the Lamest excuses I have ever heard. AP - Mayor Bloomberg: No NYC parade for Iraq War vets

NEW YORK (AP) -- New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says there will be no city parade for Iraq War veterans in the foreseeable future because of objections voiced by military officials.

The mayor said on his Friday appearance on WOR Radio officials in Washington "think a parade would be premature while we still have so many troops in harm's way around the world."
He probably hasn't found a way to Tax it yet. And until he does, no Parade for you!

I have some bad news for some of you, some good news for others. I have VERY little time today and A LOT to cover, so the Idiots have the day off. I will also be spending a lot of time on Energy, with a Three Part Series coming right up. It DOES effect all of us. Coming right up?

Before we get to that, I want to give another Kudos to the folks that organized the Port Salerno Seafood Festival. It was a great time. Great food, great music, and all those People. I can't wait to see the numbers. Folks, I'm telling you, if you are EVER in Sunny South Florida during this time, you really have to check it out.

We got there about 11 am. Paid the Two Bucks and took the Trolley to the Fest. We walked around and was thoroughly entertained by the Mermaids, uh, yeah, the Boys and I REALLY enjoyed the Mermaids, {Smile} Pirates, Musicians, to all the regular Folks there just like us. It truly was a great time. The only thing negative I would have to say is this. I know it's a Festival, but did we really have to be greeted right off the Trolley at 11 am, by Alcohol? Just saying. But all in all it was a GREAT time. We saw no problems, just folks having a GREAT time.

A Special thanks also goes out to Grace Place Community Church for setting up the kid Area. Bounce Houses, Pony Rides, Arts and Crafts. Just a fun and safe place to bring your Kids to burn off some of that energy.

OK, going to fill my cup, be right back to dive in and get started.
Peter
