Looking Toward 08
Hey folks,
Pew Research Center also reports this. PewResearchCenter -Trends in Political Values and Core Attitudes: 1987-2007, Political Landscape More Favorable To Democrats.
Increased public support for the social safety net, signs of growing public concern about income inequality, and a diminished appetite for assertive national security policies have improved the political landscape for the Democrats as the 2008 presidential campaign gets underway.
Did you get that? "Income equality" and "a diminished appetite for assertive national security?" WHO? This is Liberal templet. Instead of working hard and getting ahead, they want YOU to pay someone who hasn’t the same amount. It’ not fair they make more than ME, Take some from them and give it to me. Remember what Hillary said?
"The other day the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits and I want to put them into a strategic energy fund that will begin to fund alternative, smart energy, alternative and technology that will begin to actually move us toward the direction of independence. I have to tell you, I am not running for president to put Band-Aids on our problems."
Now this is persuasive to some. They are making the biggest profit in history, and I cannot pay my phone bill. I get that. But understand this. Let’s say you are struggling. Let’s say you find a niche. You start making money. You finally get out of your situation. You buy a bigger house. You start doing better. You no longer have to worry about money. You made it. You are now living the American dream. But WAIT! STOP! Hold it a second there buddy. You CANNOT make that much money. It’s not fair. So I am going to take it fro you and give it to this poor slob over here that can, but has chosen not to working in five years. {Sigh} Once they start with one, they will do all. How much is too much profit, and who sets the limit?
At the same time, many of the key trends that nurtured the Republican resurgence in the mid-1990s have moderated, according to Pew's longitudinal measures of the public's basic political, social and economic values. The proportion of Americans who support traditional social values has edged downward since 1994, while the proportion of Americans expressing strong personal religious commitment also has declined modestly.
Even more striking than the changes in some core political and social values is the dramatic shift in party identification that has occurred during the past five years. In 2002, the country was equally divided along partisan lines: 43% identified with the Republican Party or leaned to the GOP, while an identical proportion said they were Democrats. Today, half of the public (50%) either identifies as a Democrat or says they lean to the Democratic Party, compared with 35% who align with the GOP.
I wonder how accurate these numbers are NOW. Now that the LWL are showing themselves for who they are. Traitors and lunatics. It goes on to talk about the fact that the war has some effect on these numbers. Since the war is unpopular, and the President belongs to the Republican party, you get the point. But then it says this
The study of the public's political values and attitudes by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press – the most recent in a series of such reports dating back to 1987 – finds a pattern of rising support since the mid-1990s for government action to help disadvantaged Americans. More Americans believe that the government has a responsibility to take care of people who cannot take care of themselves, and that it should help more needy people even if it means going deeper into debt.
These attitudes have undergone a major change since 1994, when the Republicans won control of Congress. In particular, 54% say the government should help more needy people, even if it adds to the nation's debt, up from just 41% in 1994. All party groups are now more supportive of government aid to the poor, though Republicans remain much less supportive than Democrats or independents if it means adding to the deficit.
Again. All liberal. Do nothing and let the Government take care of you. I still believe in the whole "Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a life time." The constant bombardment of the pushing of class envy by the mass media has lead to this. The truth is, there are more millionaires now than ANY other time in history. The Dow just closed at the record high for the THIRD day in a row. Most Americans ARE happy with their financial status. But you would never know that listening to the media.
Then they go on. Remember all those times I have talked about the Moral decline in this country. I have said time and time again to you folks, that if you remove God, you HAVE to replace him with something else.
The latest values survey, conducted Dec. 12, 2006-Jan. 9, 2007, finds a reversal of increased religiosity observed in the mid-1990s. While most Americans remain religious in both belief and practice, the percentage expressing strong religious beliefs has edged down since the 1990s. And the survey finds an increase in the relatively small percentage of the public that can be categorized as secular. In Pew surveys since the beginning of 2006, 12% identified themselves as unaffiliated with a religious tradition. That compares with 8% in the Pew values survey in 1987. This change appears to be generational in nature, with each new generation displaying lower levels of religious commitment than the preceding one.
The grey area is getting wider. Right and wrong is no longer black and white. Morals are being lost and the "anything goes" crowd is growing in popularity. Something else I have been warning you about. This is interesting. The "enlightened ones" {Liberals} seem to be falling faster.
In addition, political differences in levels of religious commitment are larger now than in years past. Republicans are at least as religious as they were 10 or 20 years ago, based on the numbers expressing belief in God, citing prayer as important, and other measures. By contrast, Democrats express lower levels of commitment than in the late 1980s and 1990s.
Yes folks, they tell you all this, to show you that America leans left. I do not believe that this is case. More and more people are seeing what and who these people are. But this is the very thing that the LWL live for. Numbers like these, although, misleading, will still embolden them even more. We need to put forth the truth. That is that this is no longer about Right and Left, but it is about right and wrong. They are WRONG. Traitors and lunatics on a quest for tyranny. America, WAKE UP, and just simply, stop, look, listen, and learn. Do you see where we are heading?
