Even More Nuts, Now Extortion and Blackmail?
Hey folks,
Happy Monday to you. This is really getting pretty pathetic to watch. The LWL is getting desperate. They know that they cannot win. They know that there is a growing movement of people that see them as Traitors. They know that there is a growing number of people that are starting to believe the truth. The surge is working, and therefore in essence we are winning. I keep telling you, they CANNOT have that. They will not survive politically if we win. They have invested ALL they have in defeat.
The Bill will be vetoed. Quietly they have started to work with Republicans to try to write a new one the will be signed by the President. But that is not good enough for some of the true Looneys. They still want to attempt to force the President to listen to their treasonous actions.
According to AFP -US Democrats raise prospect of Bush's impeachment over Iraq, by Maxim Kniazkov.
A top US congressional Democrat has raised the possibility of George W. Bush's impeachment in a bid to force the president to accept a compromise that would place conditions on continued US military involvement in Iraq.
Representative John Murtha, who chairs the House Subcommittee on Defense and is close to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, made the comment Sunday in response to repeated threats by the president to veto legislation that calls for withdrawal of US troops from Iraq by the end of next March.
"There's three ways or four ways to influence a president," Murtha said on CBS's "Face the Nation" program. "One is popular opinion, the election, third is impeachment and fourth is the purse."
Asked specifically if Democrats, who now control the US Congress, were seriously contemplating the impeachment option, the congressman responded: "What I'm saying, there's four ways to influence a president ... And one of them's impeachment."
OK, first, it is NOT "Democrats." It is ONE democrat, that is Murtha. Two, it will never happen. They do not have the votes to do it. All this is, is more rhetoric in a desperate attempt to drum up their Looney base. The desperation of this statement is hard to watch.
They really are so puerile that they are waiting until Tuesday to give him the surrender bill for him to veto. {Laughing} They really are sad. That is the anniversary of President Bush stating "Mission Accomplished." They feel that this is, somehow, a symbol or a point, or, whatever. It’s pointless and sad. Meanwhile our troops are left hung out to dry by the Democrats.
The movement is growing, they are sowing the seeds. They are getting desperate. Just remember, the more desperate they get, the better the news is in Iraq. Will they ever go so far as to completely cut off funding for the war? If desperate enough? Who knows. But if they come out and do it, they are to BLAME for any further attacks on us. The soldiers that have lost their lives up until now, would be made meaningless. We as a country will be more vulnerable than anytime in history. It would be THEIR FAULT. If they ever got brave enough to do it, they would no longer be able to blame the President. So, no, I doubt they will.
