From the Energy Front 042010
Hey folks,
Short and sweet today. Commonsense needs to prevail here. It is true that,,,
China's Economy is THRIVING.
Energy Use is Increasing all over the World.
Supply and Demand is in effect.
Oil is Over $80.00 a gallon.
Our Administration doesn't care.
According to Bloomberg Business Week - Algerian ministers says oil output levels to hold
ORAN, Algeria
Algerian Energy Minister Chakib Khelil says OPEC production quotas are not reponsible for the recent increase in oil prices and that the cartel has no intention of reviewing output levels before its next meeting planned in October.
Khelil says members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries still have surpluses of about 6 million barrels per day and contends that "speculators" are to blame for prices recently rising above S80 per barrel.
The small drop in oil prices since airlines were grounded in Europe because of volcanic ash is "a case study" of how speculators on the oil market overreact both ways to economic data, Khelil told reporters Monday after presiding over a forum of gas exporting countries.
So they are not looking to change anything. No more increasing Production. No increase in supply, demand remains high. Prices remain high.
You can blame whoever you chose, but the bottom line is, if we used our own, we would not have $3.00 a gallon gas. Venezuela is 12 CENTS a gallon. They use their own.
Now I want to look around the World. Gas Prices in the areas that are pushing Green? Between $6.00 to $8.00 a gallon. You want to pay that? The area's that use their OWN Resources? You get it, cheap.
They are not increasing Supply. The World is not decreasing Demand. We are not Drilling and using our own resources. Prices will continue to go up. But then again, Obama DID say that once he was elected President, Energy prices would "Necessarily Skyrocket" and the fact he LIKES high energy prices. He just thought they went up to fast. To much of a shock. He would rather push the agenda, which of course give Government more control over your home, and your daily life.
The equation is simple. More supply = less demand = lower prices for all. Yes, we can continue looking for "Greener Energy," work at perfecting "Greener Energy," while at the same time, using our resources to make energy Costs affordable to all. Dream verse reality? Reality wins every time.
