Time is Ticking.

Hey folks,

Happy Monday morning. 22 days to go until "Judgement Day." More and more bad news for the Left. So what is the MMD reporting? One, Kerry demanding a second chance. Two, division between the Republicans on Iraq. Why the sudden change?

According to the new Rasmussen Reports, the news is not good for the LWL.

"Forty-four percent (44%) of Americans approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Fifty-five percent (55%) disapprove. These figures include 22% who Strongly Approve and 40% who Strongly Disapprove."

Then according to Rasmussen, The whole Foley mess? Did nothing.

"Rasmussen Reports survey data shows that the story surrounding former Congressman Mark Foley has had little or no impact on partisan identification among the general public. Also, there is no data to support the expectation voiced by some that the Foley matter would reduce Evangelical Christian support for GOP candidates.

Each month, Rasmussen Reports issues data on party affiliation trends based upon interviews with 15,000 adults nationwide. In September, the results showed that 37.0% of Americans considered themselves Democrats and 32.3% were Republicans.

Over the seven days ending October 11, a period that is entirely within the post-Foley era, we interviewed 3,500 adults nationwide as part of the same tracking survey. The post-Foley results show Democrats at 37.5% and Republicans at 32.4%"

So since the Foley mess {Attempt at a coup} failed, the Mass Media Drones are now attempting to give the impression that there is a divide in the Republican party over Iraq. That’s right, Foley failed, back to Iraq.

According to the AP,

"Two leading Republican senators called Sunday for a new strategy in Iraq, saying the situation in getting worse and leaving the United States with few options.

Sens. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska and John Warner of Virginia are part of the growing list of Republicans who are speaking out against President Bush's current plan for Iraq as U.S. casualties rise.

"The American people are not going to continue to support, sustain a policy that puts American troops in the middle of a civil war," Hagel said on CNN's "Late Edition.""

The only problem with this is, MOST American people DO still support our efforts in Iraq. Most understand why we are still there and the devastating effect if we leave.

Then you have Kerry. John Kerry said,

"Americans give people a second chance. And if you learn something and prove you've learned something, maybe even more so. Now, I don't know what I'm going to do yet. We'll make that decision down the road."

And,

"John McCain, their leading candidate — didn't he get kicked around South Carolina by the same president because he wasn't patriotic enough as a prisoner of war? He's now their leading candidate for president," Kerry said of the Republican Party. "Richard Nixon seemed to get kicked around pretty badly both running for president and governor, turned around and came back and got elected president."

Translation folks, Kerry is saying that he deserves a second chance if he decides to run. So the MMD has changed direct. It is now focusing on possible Candidates, and "infighting" amongst the Republicans. Or at least the appearance of such.

22 days to go, time is ticking. What will the next "October Surprise" be?
Peter
