Decision to defend the Law.
Hey folks,
OK. So, back on Friday, February 25, 2011, I posted this. If Bush Decided? I said this.
Congratulations House GOP, you are the Winner, uh, Winners, of the Display of Logic Award for Sunday 032011. Now about that Deficit?

Hey folks,
OK. So, back on Friday, February 25, 2011, I posted this. If Bush Decided? I said this.
Obama, knowing he is losing the Unions, the revenue, losing Obamacare, the Medical Field and Insurance Companies Votes, and some Minority Votes due to States doing the Federal Government's Job, Illegal Immigration Enforcement, "Hello Gay people. Remember me? I made all these promises to you. Well, I've decided that the Defense of Marriage Act is Unconstitutional and I have ordered my Justice Department to stop defending it." The problem is, he CAN'T do that. No President has the authority to declare a Law Unconstitutional and ORDER the Justice Department to stop enforcing it. The Legislators have to Legislate. Congress has to change it. Not the president.Well, well, well. Seems that since the President decided that he did not like it, AKA, needs the Gay Vote, the Justice Department will not enforce and defend the Law, The Republicans WILL. According to Qnotes - GOP will defend DOMA by David Stout March 19, 2011
GOP will defend DOMAWho care what Obama thinks. He doesn't have the Authority to pick and chose what Laws to enforce and what not to. So the Winner of the Display of Logic Award this Week , is ALL the Republicans that decided, "It's the Law of the Land, signed into Law by President Clinton, therefore the Federal Government shall defend the Law in court." While Obama panders for Votes, the Adults decided to do their Job and Defend the Law.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — LGBT rights groups condemned U.S. House Republican leadership for formally voting to authorize intervention to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in court. The Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group, convened by Speaker Boehner, voted 3-2 to authorize the House to retain legal counsel. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) voted against the action.
With at least nine cases challenging the constitutionality of DOMA, spanning three appellate courts and four district courts in six states, the March 9 vote sets up an expansive and expensive undertaking. In February, the Obama administration announced that the president had concluded that a key section of DOMA is unconstitutional and the administration would no longer defend the discriminatory law.
Congratulations House GOP, you are the Winner, uh, Winners, of the Display of Logic Award for Sunday 032011. Now about that Deficit?
