You know I have read and heard dozens of articles providing many people with items they should do to help prevent identity theft. However I personally after never heard of anyone stating the following.

Many home owners who do not live in the city where your mail box is either right at your front door or there is a opening in the door in which mail is placed which now places the mail inside the home. Well back to those who like I said that live in the country, I am sure many of you have seen in your travels that on these country roads the mail boxes are no where near the homes and in fact in most cases the mail boxes are across the street from the homes.

So in fact there is your complete life across the street, your bank statements, credit card bills, electric bill, phone bill, magazine bills, and many other items that it takes three seconds to remove. If you are one of these people, get a mail box with a lock on it and one where the mail is placed through opening on top.
