Sotomayor quits women's club, State Run Media Bias

Two CLEAR Examples,

Hey folks,

I have two stories here that I'm going to role into one. Why? Because they show the CLEAR and purposeful intention of the MMD Bias. The State Run Media, or as I call them, the MMD {Mass Media Drones} no longer report facts. They twist them, create them, and attempt to lead you into think as they wish you to. Simply put, they write what they are told to.

Story one. AP - Sotomayor quits women's club after GOP criticism By MARK SHERMAN, Associated Press Writer Mark Sherman, Associated Press Writer – Fri Jun 19, 9:40 pm ET

WASHINGTON – Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor resigned Friday from an elite all-women's club after Republicans questioned her participation in it. Sotomayor said she resigned from the Belizean Grove to prevent the issue from becoming a distraction in her confirmation hearings.

First, why is it that anytime a Democrat or a Lib, get caught doing something wrong, it is merely a distraction? They love this word. It excuses the wrong doing and minimizes the complaint. "Of it's just a distraction from more important things." You NEVER see them use this word with a Republican.

In a letter to Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont and Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama, the federal appeals court judge said she is convinced that the club does not practice "invidious discrimination" and that her membership in it did not violate judicial ethics.

YES IT DOES! That is why she resigned.

But she said she didn't want questions about it to "distract anyone from my qualifications and record."

Your qualifications and record IS the problem.

Federal judges are bound by a code that says they shouldn't join any organization that discriminates by race, sex, religion or nationality.

ALL WOMENS CLUB.

The Belizean Grove bills itself as women's answer to the 130-year-old all-male Bohemian Club in California. The club owns a 2,500-acre camping area in northern California called the Grove. Chief Justice Earl Warren belonged to the Bohemian Club beginning in the 1940s, before he joined the court and long before the federal judiciary adopted a code of conduct.

"The Belizean Grove is a constellation of influential women who are key decision makers in the profit, non-profit and social sectors; who build long term mutually beneficial relationships in order to both take charge of their own destinies and help others to do the same," the group says on its Web site. There are about 115 members, the club says.

Earlier in the week, Sotomayor defended her participation in the group, telling senators that it involves men in some of its events and that she was unaware of any man who had tried to become a member.

Why would we want to. But that is not the point. What about all those lawsuits from women about all boys clubs? I guess now she resigned, she would be able to hear those cases. Right? It goes on, but you get the point. Poor innocent Sotomayor forced to resign from a great club because of those Damn Republicans.

Second story? AP - Sen. Ensign responds to ex-mistress' husband By KATHLEEN HENNESSEY, Associated Press Writer Kathleen Hennessey, Associated Press Writer – 43 mins ago

LAS VEGAS – Sen. John Ensign is pushing back against the husband of his former mistress, saying the man made "exorbitant demands for cash and other financial benefits."

Ensign's accusation on Friday was the most direct shot at Doug Hampton, the husband of the woman with whom the Nevada Republican admits he carried on a nine-month affair last year. Through a spokesman, the Republican senator seized on an allegation that had circulated among his allies for days.

SECOND Paragraph. Nevada Republican, the Republican. What party does Sotomayor belong to? We know, but when was that reported? What about all the stories about Democrats that get caught. Most of the time they do not even tell you what Party they are from. But a Republican? THAT is the main crust of it. But it gets better.

The senator's charge came as he attempted to fight back against a series of accusations from Hampton. In a letter published Friday by the Las Vegas Sun, Hampton accused the man he called a lifelong friend of "heinous conduct and pursuit" of his wife.

Ensign, 51, a staunch Christian conservative in his second term, confessed on Tuesday to the affair with Cindy Hampton, 46, a former campaign aide. Ensign has said the affair began during a rocky time in his marriage in December 2007 and continued until August 2008.

Forth paragraph, a staunch Christian conservative. What religion does Jefferson, money in the freezer belong to? What religion does Spitzer? What about, you get the point.

Ensign described the Hamptons as "close friends." The couples were neighbors and their children went to school together.

Doug Hampton, 47, also worked in Ensign's Senate office before both Hamptons left their positions in May 2008.

"Senator Ensign's conduct and relentless pursuit of my wife led to our dismissal in April of 2008," Doug Hampton wrote in the letter addressed to Fox News. "The actions of Senator Ensign have ruined our lives and careers and left my family in shambles."

Hampton's contact with the media prompted Ensign's abrupt admission, the senator's office has said.

On Friday, Ensign spokesman Tory Mazzola said Doug Hampton had reached out to the senator through an attorney who had sought money in the past month.

"Doug Hampton's outrageous demand was referred to Senator Ensign's legal counsel, who is handling the matter going forward," the statement said.

Mazzola would not name the senator's attorney. Hampton's lawyer, Daniel Albregts, did not respond to messages seeking comment.

The FBI in Las Vegas and Las Vegas police said they were not investigating.

Doug Hampton's letter to Fox News was dated June 11 and addressed to anchorwoman Megyn Kelly. In it, Hampton sought Kelly's help in exposing Ensign's actions.

Tom Lowell, senior producer of "America's Newsroom," told the Huffington Post Web site that when reporters followed up with Hampton, he "seemed evasive and not credible, thus we didn't pursue it."

So not only do they attempt to crucify the entire Right based on this one guy, they also go after Fox News. {Laughing} Just a clear example of the MMD being nothing more than a tool of the Left. Yes folks, true Journalism is dead.
