Court Says Christmas and The Bible Not Related

You Can't Make This Stuff Up 060709

Hey folks,

Remember when you went to school? In most kindergartens, even some Elementary schools, there is a time called show and tell. This is where kids bring in something that is important to them, and they show it to the class. They explain what it is, how it works, where it comes from, that sort of thing.

Well, there are limitations. The kids can't bring a gun, knife, noose, etc. They can't light stuff on fire to show why they love matches, and apparently in Philadelphia, you can't bring the Bible.

Now we could argue all day about the fictitious "Wall of Separation" in the Constitution, there is none, but that is not why this story caught my attention. It was actually the REASON that the Court gave to prevent it.

The appeals court says there is a "significant difference" between identifying those holidays and reading from Scripture.

Really? Those Holidays, as they called them, would NOT BE HOLIDAYS if it were not FOR Scripture. Idiots.

No Christ, NO CHRISTMAS. Now I know that Christmas has been hijacked by those who wish to commercialize it. Billions of dollars a year are thrown around during the Holiday Season. However Jesus is not a Fat White guy with a long white beard and a red suit. But the very word Christmas, MEANS Christ's Mass. The day, correct or not, that we have set aside to celebrate Jesus the Christ being Born.

What about Passover? You could not have Passover WITHOUT SCRIPTURE. So how is there a "significant difference" between reading Scripture and identifying the day set aside to HONOR Scripture? They are not related?

Christopher Columbus came to America. Yeah. Here is a book to tell you why, when and how. WAIT!!!!! Can't read that!!!! What? So we can tell our kids Christmas is a Holiday {Holy Day} but cannot tell them WHY? How ignorant is that. Typical, but ignorant to say the least.

Peter
