Here Is My Take

Hey folks,

Sorry again about this morning. Got a phone call, had to go. Was about to write about Scooter Libby before some of you start to ask my take, or say "You are not reporting his guilty verdict, because he is a Republican." Whatever. I was NOT going to comment about it because it has been all over the place. New Media, old media, of course, the MMD, and LWL. But after learning a few more details, I have to comment. So here you go. {I told you it would be a lot later.}

Since this morning, I have added a few more links. I have come to the conclusion that this trial was a scam. The fix was in. It SHOULD be thrown out. I truly believe any judge in their righ mind will over turn this on appeal.

Last night and this morning, I had a few questions. But I was willing to say I believe in the rule of law, I believe that the jury ruled, and that’s that. But I did question the fact of the jury asking on day ten, "What is he charged with????" Were they not paying attention? He was charge with lying to the Grand Jury. Then just three hours later, they find him guilty on all but one count. So what were they doing for ten days? Then came the comment that I started REALLY questioning the TRUTH behind this. Denis Collins {Juror number 9} said,

"There was a tremendous amount of sympathy for Mr. Libby on the jury. It was said a number of times, "What are we doing with this guy here? Where's Rove? Where's...? You know, where are these other guys?" We're not saying we didn't think Mr. Libby was guilty of the things we found him guilty of, but that it seemed like he was -- to put it in Mr. Wells point, he was -- the fall guy."

WHAT? "What are we doing with this guy here? Where's Rove? Where's...? You know, where are these other guys?" They were not charged. They had nothing to do with the trial. The trial had nothing to do with Iraq, the war, and not even anything to do with Wilson be outed. She was never covert. {sigh} But THIS is what this moronic, over zealous, Federal Prosecutor was LYING about to the jury. But he did not have to lie so much. Look at the jury. The are all Liberal. They all are anti-war, Bush haters. They are ex-reporters, personal friends of the Prosecutor’s witnesses, and some just looking for their fifteen seconds of fame. Then you have one that are all these things. Today we even learned more about Denis Collins {Juror number 9}

One, a former Washington Post reporter, and author. We found out today,

RUSH: I want to start today with the Scooter Libby verdict. There's just an incredible amount to say here. I want to go through it as quickly as I can and get on to some other things here. This whole trial and the verdict and the aftermath, the way the media is playing this, have serious consequences for the future. I want to address some of these things with you in a semblance of order. I want to start with this juror, Denis Collins. It turns out that in the jury selection phase before Denis Collins' name came out, he was identified as having worked with Bob Woodward. He was identified as being a neighbor of Tim Russert. Both would later testify in the case. So this juror -- who I have no doubt took over the jury room and ran this whole show -- lived near Russert, worked with Woodward and at the Washington Post, and said last night on Larry King Live he plans to write about this.

He even had BBQs with Russert at his house.

I'll bet he took copious notes in there. And of course if you're planning on writing about something it's far better to write about a conviction than if you have to right about an acquittal. What's sexy about writing about an acquittal here when you are a Democrat, a registered Democrat, as this juror was? People are saying, "How did he end up on the jury?" I asked that question myself to people last night who were able to answer it. The people close to the Libby defense trust, people that were raising money for his defense fund, said, "You would not have believed this jury pool. We had MoveOn.org people in the jury pool. We had as many leftists as you could think of, and we used up our strikes. By the time they got to this guy we had no strikes left, no peremptory challenges left, and we ended up being stuck with him." He was on Larry King Live last night, and Larry said, "Denis Collins, you going to write about this?"

Three, this idiotic statement told the real tale. Four he has posted a nine page article on the Huffy Post’s website. So? One day following the verdict? Could there have been a contract of some kind?

The Washington post today put it this way,

Collins, an author and ex-Washington Post reporter, was the only one of the seven women and four men on the jury to provide an inside glimpse into the method and thought process that the panel used to find Cheney's former top aide guilty of four felony counts.

He is looking for fame. To make money. He wanted, like the Prostitute for the LWL, uh, I mean, the Prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald, to get VP Cheney, and maybe in the long run the President himself. The whole trial was turned into the war, and the Administration. Meanwhile it had NOTHING to do with any of it. {Psss, don’t tell the mass media.} They are enjoying what they think is a victory for themselves.}

Then you have this laughable statement by the New York Crimes today.

Among the several admonitions Judge Walton gave the jurors was that they must not be influenced by their feelings about the Iraq war or the Bush administration. During jury selection, the defense filtered out those District of Columbia residents who acknowledged negative feelings about the Bush White House and the war.

Sure. The jury was completely un-bias. Just like the NYT.

Sure seems like the fix was in here. There should be an investigation into all these thing. Most definitely, an investigation into joker number nine. With all these things together, it is not hard for ANYONE to see this has a good chance of being over turned.

So that is my take on this mess.

Side note. I will be trying my best to be here sometime tomorrow. I have a full day tomorrow. Including taking care of something for one of my family members, meetings, and my son Joshua’s final round of shots. But if I do not make it in, I WILL see you all on Friday.

From what I ave been seeing as well the whole trial was nothing but a witch hunt. Just another clog in the effort to unseat this president

Hey Sam,

Same thing with the 8 Attorneys that were fired. The hearing on the Valerie Plame mess. Libby and all the rest. It’s ALL about getting Bush. Everything they do IS about getting Bush. One of the main problems as I see it now, is that there are some in their own party that are starting to stand up and say, “Wait a minute, can we PLEASE actually DO something. It’s obvious that we will not end the war, it’s obvious we cannot get Bush. Let’s start running the country.”

This is why there is so much tension in the LWL. Well, let me re-phrase that. That is why there is so much tension in the Democrat party. The factions are battling with in. They are even coming out AGAINST the hard core LWL members.

There is also an interesting trend of the NYT, Washington Post, and other Soros controlled media, going after Gore and Hillary. Of course they have also asked the questioned if Barack is “Black enough.” I have a theory about that. Did you see the latest numbers? I’m going to try to find it in the morning. Something like 82% of Americans now feel the press in bias. They feel that they are simple pawns of the LWL. That can’t be good. I wonder where they may have gotten that from. {Smile} If I can find it I will write about that this weekend.

Talk to you soon my friend.
