TRUCE!

Hey folks,

I was all set to talk about another Email I got just yesterday. You know, you people are just making this too easy. {Smile} But then I saw THIS.

There has been a truce called. A TRUCE. The reason? The betterment of the LWL. {Laughing} Unity, because both are afraid that the Race Battles between the two, will hurt both and help the Republicans. This is just too good. According to the AP - Clinton, Obama step back from race flap By DAVID ESPO, AP Special Correspondent

Democratic presidential rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama stepped back from a controversy over race Monday night, agreeing that a prolonged clash over civil rights could harm their party's overall drive to win the White House.

Told you so. But seriously, this shows the VAST inexperience of Obama. He can not lose this. He really can’t. He should go after her with everything he has on this.

The two leading Democratic contenders shifted course as Republicans pointed toward Tuesday's pivotal primary in Michigan, where Mitt Romney and John McCain both pledged to lead a revival for a state and an auto industry ravaged by recession.

More Blah, blah, blah, that means NOTHING. Well, actually, it means loss of jobs, higher prices, cars no one wants to make, and no one wants to drive. Oh yeah, did I mention MORE taxes?

Obama was the first to suggest a cooling of the rhetoric on race, calling reporters together to say he didn't want the campaign "to degenerate into so much tit-for-tat, back-and-forth that we lose sight of why all of us are doing this."

Please. Obama did not tit, nor did he, tat. This was a NO LOSE for him. But you know, anything for the LWL to win the White House. I’m not so sure that others will back down all that easy though.

Referring to Clinton and former Sen. John Edwards, he said that while they may have disagreements, "we share the same goals. We're all Democrats, we all believe in civil rights, we all believe in equal rights."

They must have cut him off. They left out, “We all believe in Socialism, Tyranny {As long as WE are in charge}, surrendering, Higher taxes, power and control over every aspect of your lives. Uh, for your own good of course.”

Clinton's campaign issued a statement in the same vein about an hour after Obama spoke, saying it was time to seek common ground. "And in that spirit, let's come together, because I want more than anything else to ensure that our family stays together on the front lines of the struggle to expand rights for all Americans," she said.

What a bunch of bunk. OK, bets? How long do you REALLY think this will last. You see, the press will spin this as them doing this for the betterment and protection of the Democrats hope in taking over the White House. But it’s really Obama that is losing out here. The Clintons stepped in it big time. Why do you think they are spending so much time going all over the Black radio shows, attending MLK celebrations, and speaking at Black Churches? They KNOW they have crossed a line. However, from experience, they feel that they can do and say whatever they want, then say sorry, and all will be forgotten. Obama might have taken the “Higher Ground,” but I do not think that all is going to be forgiven that easily by everyone.

Yes a truce has been called. You know as well as I do, if the Clintons need to, they will ignore the truce, and unload on Obama again. He had better be watching his back. They will continue to attack him through surrogates, even during the truce. But make no mistake about it, they MEANT every word they said, they were just showing us who they really are. Obama could have won this thing NOW. Forget the election, she was down, bleeding, and about to expire. All he had to do was leave her there. Instead, he helped her up, patched her up, and put the gun back in her hand. {Sigh} That is inexperience in the political word.

Still, this is getting even more fun to watch.

Obama can't win the general election, but a Hillary/Obama might.
I think that is what they are planning, forget all the bulllshit
that the both of them are putting out.
Just what this country needs a cry baby president and a kid vice president.

Hey Doug,

THAT is a scary thought. But you know, since anyone who is not liberal, especially Conservatives, are all chauvinist, racist, Homophobes, maybe they still would not win. But I'd be willing to bet that Hillary will not share the limelight. She will pick a running mate that she can control. After all the racist comments by her, Bill, and her staff, she would have a REAL hard time trying to control him.

{Laughing HARD} That was good.
