The Quest For Tyranny Continues

Hey folks,

I have been warning you, over and over again, that the NEW Democrat party is on a quest for tyranny. I have been telling you THEIR own words. THEIR own actions. I have been explaining all this to you. This weekend, I will be taking the time out to take you down a memory lane. I will be linking and posting all the different things I have been warning you about. For those of you interesting, which I hope is all of you, take the time to read it.

I have been warning you, among other things that the LWL {Left Wing Looneys} want to silence their opposition. They do not care about you, they do not care about Free Speech, and they most certainly do NOT want you to know the truth of what they are planning. Some of you laughed. Some said that you think I have lost my mine. Some said, it cannot happen here. This is America. Right?

It IS happening. It is out in the open. They are not even trying to hide it any more. The New York Post had an interesting article yesterday. New York Post -BUM RUSH HOW THE DEMS PLAN TO TAKE DOWN THEIR REAL OPPONENTS: RUSH AND O’REILLY

Remember the days of old, when you had people sitting around playing records backwards to hear hidden messages. Or even better, McCarthy’s witch-hunt for Communists? Now we have Communists on a witch-hunt for Conservatives. Actually, ANYONE who disagrees or poses a threat. According to the NYP

Such paranoia has gone from being one of the more obscure jokes of the Clinton years to mainstream thought in Democratic circles. Driven mad by the Swift Boat Vets, Fox News, not to mention the humiliating failure of Air America and the continuing success of conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, liberals have convinced themselves they need a conspiracy machinery all of their own to do deliberately what they imagine conservatives have been doing all along.

And that's where Media Matters for America comes in. At a recent YearlyKos convention for left-wing bloggers, Hillary Clinton bragged about how she'd helped Brock create Media Matters - an inconvenient testimonial for a group that swears, unconvincingly, that it's not beholden to Clinton (nearly half the e-mails I get from them read like they were churned out by Clinton's rapid-response team).

Which, by the way, should cause them to loose their tax exempt status.

Part of the complex of liberal activist groups linked to George Soros and dedicated to the success of Democratic candidates, Media Matters churns out polemic and spin gussied-up as media criticism. The strategy is an upgrade of the Clinton communication attack plan of the 1990s. First: Demonize critics as crazy people, ax-grinders, bigots and shills.

This was the tactic used by Clinton and Co. in the 1990s to try to marginalize critics like Limbaugh and whistleblowers like Travel Office director Billy Dale. Recall how Bill Clinton suggested Limbaugh incited the Oklahoma City bombing or how his cronies immediately claimed Dale was a criminal and Monica Lewinsky a stalker?

Second, use any weapon on hand. And that's where the figurative million interns come in. Like CIA drones listening to shortwave broadcasts in Irkusk, Media Matters monitors everything the right puts out, listening to hundreds of hours of programming and reading lord knows how many words every week.

And, then, working from the assumption that all's fair in war, they score whatever points they can and then browbeat mainstream journalists with their findings.

Because these journalists are overwhelmingly liberal themselves, they sometimes find receptive ears. But nowhere near as receptive as among Democrats themselves. Because Media Matters is more like the opposition- research team of left-wing activists than a media watchdog, Democrats score all sorts of points by taking up its cause.

This is why I call some of the Media the MMD {Mass Media Drones.} They only report to you, what they are told to. Again, Media Matters, MoveON.org and the others, should lose their tax exempt status. They are nothing more than a Political activist branch of the NEW DNC.

The press didn't care much about the Limbaugh “phony soldiers" story in which Limbaugh was referring to one anti-war activist who pretended to be a military veteran. Journalists for the most part saw it for what it was: a phony story.

Which it was and still is.

But the Democrats have been interested in demonizing and defanging right-wing critics for years. It's a doctrine of preemption the Democrats can finally endorse. And so Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid doesn't care that Limbaugh - a wildly generous supporter of the military - never criticized American soldiers. What they care about is taking Limbaugh down a peg or two and throwing a bone to their increasingly demoralized anti-war base.

The Loons and “Phoney” Patriots

It's shameless, but they think they're justified to do or say anything if it takes down the enemy. Which is why Brock is the perfect man for the job.

So who is Media matters? What about their targets?

MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA

Founded: 2004 by author David Brock. Hillary Clinton also claims to have helped inspire the group, saying, “We are certainly better prepared and more focused on, you know, taking our arguments, and making them effective, and disseminating them widely . . . in a lot of the new progressive infrastructure, institutions that I helped to start and support like Media Matters."

Headquarters: Washington, D.C.

Employees: 59 staff and “advisers," according to the group's Web site. Members of the staff are assigned various television and radio programs that they record, transcribe and monitor for content.

Funding: A nonprofit, Media Matters receives money from liberal organizations such as the Center for American Progress, a policy-research institute whose CEO is John Podesta, former chief of staff to Bill Clinton. Critics have alleged that George Soros gives money to Media Matters; the group denies any direct involvement, though it may receive Soros money through other advocacy groups.

MEDIA CIRCUS

With an army of interns and researchers recording radio and television appearances, employees of Media Matters for America try to build a case against conservative commentators. Their targets have included:

MORNING SHOWS

Every so often, Media Matters releases a report about the guests on talks shows such as “Face the Nation" and “Meet the Press." Often, they reach the same conclusion of a February 2006 survey: “Republicans and conservatives have been offered more opportunities to appear on the Sunday shows - in some cases, dramatically so." But critics have taken issue with Media Matters labeling of guests, saying some people labeled “neutral" were actually quite liberal.

DON IMUS

Early in the morning of April 4, a Media Matters monitor heard Imus refer to the Rutgers University women's basketball team as “nappy-headed hos." The group blogged about it and sent e-mail to many organizations and media. Imus apologized, but was still fired by CBS on April 12. Imus reached a settlement with CBS for his dismissal, rumored to be as high as $20 million, and is plotting a return to radio.

BILL O'REILLY

On his Sept. 19 radio program, O'Reilly was discussing a dinner he had with Al Sharpton at Sylvia's in Harlem. O'Reilly said he “couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference" between it and other restaurants. When guest Juan Williams said too few people see black culture beyond profane rap, O'Reilly said, “That's right. There wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming ‘M.F.-er, I want more iced tea.' " Media Matters posted the quotes, saying they were “ignorant and racially challenged." O'Reilly says the group “cherry-picked" his statements to try to make him look bad, when really he was saying something positive. The story hasn't had much traction in terms of a boycott or suffering ratings.

RUSH LIMBAUGH

On Sept. 26, a caller to Limbaugh's radio program was discussing troop views on the Iraq war. The listener, Mike, said, “What's really funny is, [the media] never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media." Limbaugh responded: “the phony soldiers." Media Matters distributed the quote widely. Limbaugh says he was referring to one person in particular, an anti-war activist who pretended to be an Army vet. But Democrats remain unswayed, and members took the floor of the Senate this week to denounce him. The incident has even stirred talk among congressional Democrats of reviving the “Fairness Doctrine," which required broadcasters to give opposing political views equal time and was in effect from 1949 to 1987.

YUP! The Fairness Doctrine. One of the things I have been warning you about. But if you STILL have doubts? Doubts they want to silence their critics? Ask The LWL. They are telling you themselves. According to the Washington Prowler -Rush Week

The Democrat Party senior leadership is feeling a Rush. Rush Limbaugh, that is. Late last week, DNC Chair Howard Dean, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, his deputy, Sen. Dick Durbin and Senatorial Committee chair, Sen. Chuck Schumer, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi all signed off in some form or another direct mail fundraising plans that will feature Limbaugh for their national party.

"'Don't let Limbaugh smear true patriotism,' that's the theme," says a DNC staffer. "We're not going to let Limbaugh determine what soldiers can talk and what soldiers can not."

TRANSLATION. “We know we own the MMD, and they will not investigate the validity or service of those 'Soldiers' we hand pick to speak out against the War and Bush. But we do not control the ‘New Media’ so we MUST silence them.”

Bad grammar and ill-informed opinions aside, the DNC hopes to raise millions of dollars of Limbaugh. "If we can't silence him, we should at least make some money to make his life more miserable in a Democratic-controlled Washington in 2008," says a Senate Democrat leadership aide.

Others on the Democrat side are pushing ahead with other plans. Rep. Henry Waxman has asked his investigative staff to begin compiling reports on Limbaugh, and fellow radio hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin based on transcripts from their shows, and to call in Federal Communications Commission chairman Kevin Martin to discuss the so-called "Fairness Doctrine."

The US Congress wants to investigate PRIVATE CITIZENS because they want to hinder their First Amendment Right of Free Speech. Get this.

"Limbaugh isn't the only one who needs to be made uncomfortable about what he says on the radio," says a House leadership source. "We don't have as big a megaphone as these guys, but this all political, and we'll do what we can to gain the advantage. If we can take them off their game for a while, it will help our folks out there on the campaign trail."

There you go folks. Not only is this un-Constitutional, it’s un-American. But it IS the type of America they envision. Remember, this weekend I will post a time line of sorts. I will bring you up to speed on all the things I have been warning you about. Their own words, actions, and plans. I cannot stress to you enough, America itself, may very well be on the line in 08. It can happen here. It is no longer all about Politics, it is NOW about the very survival of this great country and the freedoms that we enjoy. It IS happening right in front of you. Just open your eyes and look.
Peter
