Dems Playing Same Old Games

Hey folks,

Happy Hump Day to you. You know, it really is getting pretty pathetic and sad. The Democrats are STILL playing the same old games. EVEN though, they have been found out. Even though they KNOW it will never work. Even though, they continue to fail, they are STILL playing the same old games.

Let’s see, first, they, the LWL {Left Wing Looney} leadership in the House and Senate have just been told by the front runners that THEY, Clinton, Obama, and Edwards, will NOT end this war, and pull the troops out of Iraq EVEN if they are elected President. Remember, when asked point blank, “Will you make a pledge to have all the US troops out of Iraq by the end of your first term?” They said this.

"It is very difficult to know what we're going to be inheriting," added Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.

"I think it's hard to project four years from now," said Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois in the opening moments of a campaign debate in the nation's first primary state.

"I cannot make that commitment," said former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina.

Then why would Congress continue to seek Timetables fro withdrawing our troops? Because they are continuing to pander to those that OWN them.

I’ve already told you about MoveOn.org. Nothing more than a Soros funded and Looney attack machine. They have claimed, and is evident in the LWL actions, that they OWN the Democrat Party. Then you have other LWL groups out there, attempting to pass themselves off as “Non-Partisan” grass roots groups. Like Media Matters and Center for American Progress. Only one problem. There are FAR from non-partisan, and even farther from grass roots.

Supreme Leader Wannabe Hillary, just told YearlyKos Convention SHE help start Media Matters AND Center for American Progress. Yup. Hillary Clinton.

“We are certainly better prepared and more focused on, you know, taking our arguments, and making them effective, and disseminating them widely, and really putting together a network, uh, in the blogosphere, in a lot of the new progressive infrastructure, institutions that I helped to start and support like Media Matters and Center for American Progress.

You know, we're beginning to match what I had said for years was the advantage of the other side. Uh, you know, when I made that comment about the vast right-wing conspiracy, I wasn't kidding. Uh, what I never could have predicted is that it was not a conspiracy, it was just wide open and out there for everybody to see.”

Well, now we know. Now they {Media Matters, and Center for American Progress} can deny this all they want, but SHE SAID it. Besides, Media Matters claims they are there to counter the vast “Right Wing Conservative Media” {Laughing} OK.

So with ALL this now fully in the light. With the truth fully out there. With the fact that they {Congress} had to pass an emergency bill to keep the Government running because they have done NOTHING to run this country, being to busy with getting Bush, and “Ending the War,” The LWL in Congress are STILL playing their games. According to Reuters -House Democrats urge Jan 2009 Iraq pullout By Susan Cornwell and Richard Cowan Tue Oct 2, 2:26 PM ET

President George W. Bush's request for nearly $200 billion more to fund the Iraq war will not be approved unless it is linked to a plan to bring home U.S. combat troops by January 2009, the head of the House appropriations committee said on Tuesday.

Rep. David Obey, a Wisconsin Democrat, told a news conference his panel would not even consider the war funding request until early 2008, by which time he estimates funding for military operations will have run out. Defense Secretary Robert Gates recently outlined the request to Congress.

Same old, same old.

Obey said he and other Democrats also would introduce a surtax to pay for the war in Iraq, although he acknowledged he did not expect the House Democratic leaders to support a war surtax plan.

Indeed, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, said she is "opposed to a war surtax," adding, "The choice is between a Democratic plan for responsible redeployment of our troops and the president's plan for a 10-year war in Iraq. We must end this war."

{Sigh}

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said there was "no need" to raise taxes because Bush had laid out a long-term budget plan that he estimates would erase deficits by 2012.

In proposing the new timetable for withdrawing troops, Obey said, "As chairman of the appropriations committee, I have no intention of reporting out of committee any time in this session of Congress any such (war funding) request that simply serves to continue the status quo."

Really, this is sad.

Only about 25 percent of Americans support the administration's $190 billion war funding request, while about 70 percent want the proposed allocation reduced, a Washington Post-ABC News poll published on Tuesday said.

Obey said he would be more willing to consider the money request if it would also "establish as a goal the end of U.S. involvement in combat operations by January of 2009." That is when the next U.S. president would succeed Bush, who is not allowed to run for a third, four-year term.

TOLD YOU they are DESPERATE to end this war BEFORE the next President takes office. This is TOO crystal clear to see. So what is this War Surtax?

Obey, who was accompanied by Democratic Reps. John Murtha of Pennsylvania and James McGovern of Massachusetts, noted Bush was borrowing ever more money for the war.

Therefore, Obey said, they would "call the president's bluff" and introduce legislation for a war surtax.

"If the president really is concerned about stopping red ink, we are prepared to introduce legislation which will provide for a war surtax for that portion of military costs that are related to our military actions in Iraq," Obey said.

The surtax plan was still being drafted, but it would range from about 2 percent to 15 percent of an individual's tax burden, depending on their income, Obey said. It would be intended to raise some $150 billion a year, the approximate annual cost of the Iraq war.

It WILL NEVER pass. It is just more of a show for the Loons. Obey just said, like they tried before, that he would wait until the money ran out. He just said, he will make YOU pay for the war. None of this will work. None of this will Pass both branches of Government. NOTHING with timetables will EVER be signed by the President.

All this is, is more games. More show. If they REALLY believed that this is what America wants, all they would have to do is CUT FUNDING to the war. Just STOP the money. They COULD do that. But then, the loss is on them. If they let the War continue until the next election, then it’s on whomever the next President is. They truly believe that this is locked up. That Hillary already won. So they are doing EVERYTHING they can to end this, and blame Bush. But they are running out of time. They are Scared, desperate, and really getting pathetic.

Meanwhile, our country still needs to run, and our Troops are still fighting a war. Both the Country, and the Troops need support. Yet, they just want to play games and put on Political shows.
