Hey folks,
A small plan crashed into the Mountainside killing Sen. Ted Stevens, Pilot Theron "Terry" Smith, 62, of Eagle River; William "Bill" Phillips Sr.; Dana Tindall, 48, an executive with GCI; and her 16-year-old child Corey Tindall.
So although most of the attention is on the fact that Sen. Ted Stevens, who served 40 years in office, passed away. There were others. Stevens, a decorated World War II pilot, survived a deadly 1978 plane crash. He was the longest-serving GOP senator in history and became the staple in Alaska politics as he brought Billions of federal dollars home.
However, I pray that ALL the families of those lost in this tragic accident, will receive the peace and the comfort that they need at this time.
