A Newsman As Senator

Why Not? The MMD are Already State Run.

Hey folks,

Another and more important reason I'm going to talk about this is that I do NOT want you to be fooled. That's right Owner of the The Atlantic Monthly, and the U.S. News & World Report, the current publisher of the The Daily News, Mort Zuckerman, is looking into a possible Senate run against the crippled and easy target, Kirsten E. Gillibrand. The one that took Sen Clinton's place when she foolishly took up Obama's offer for Secretary of State.

Now Zuckerman is said to be putting out feelers and is considering whether to commission a Poll to test the viability of a Candidacy. He would be in for some stiff compensation by Harold E. Ford Jr., who is also deciding about a Primary run against Ms. Gillibrand.

So how can he do this? Since he is not officially registered to any Party, he will simply PICK one, most likely an Independent or Republican. According to the NYT - Zuckerman Is Said to Be Weighing Bid for Senate By MICHAEL BARBARO and TIM ARANGO Published: February 12, 2010

Though not currently enrolled in a party, he is known as a Democrat. But if he ran for the Senate, it would very likely be as a Republican or independent so he could avoid a costly primary.

As a candidate, Mr. Zuckerman would be following the path of a close friend and fellow media executive, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, who switched his party affiliation from Democratic to Republican to run for office.

Mr. Zuckerman, whose fortune is estimated to be about $2 billion, owes most of his wealth to the real estate industry. He co-founded Boston Properties, which owns and manages office buildings in New York and elsewhere, in 1970, and is now chairman of the board. He bought The Daily News in 1993.

We all know Bloomberg is NO Conservative and was a RINO just to get elected. Then had New York's Constitution amended to allow for a THIRD Term as Mayor. Something my former fellow NYers Voted against THREE times in the past. Some question the Victory by four Percentage Points. I contribute it to the fact there were EIGHT people on the ticket. Either way, NY is bankrupt, and it is taxed to death with more affluent residents leaving town in droves.

So PLEASE, do not be fooled. If Mort Zuckerman runs with an R at the end of his name. He is not Conservative. He is no Republican. People are getting tired of the games. We need REAL Conservatives running. Not RINOs Fakes or Frauds. Yet, one does have to wonder, how much free press does one receive being the OWNER of the MMD?
