Less damage could be done if they were NOT there. I agree. As Ramsay would say, "Oh come on! Shut it DOWN!" And of course, it was another one of these Middle of the Night deals.

In an after-midnight roll call, House Republican leaders persuaded conservatives early Friday morning to support a stop-gap bill nearly identical to one they had rejected just 30 hours earlier.

So what is different this time?

The bill, which will keep federal agencies funded through Nov, 18, passed over staunch objections from Democrats, who opposed a provision that would pair increased funding for disaster relief with a spending cut to a program that makes loans to car companies to encourage the production of energy-efficient cars.

So to the Democrats, it is more important for them to keep funding Liberal Agenda Items, than it is to Fund Disaster Relief. Well, at least AS important. We have NO MONEY! There is NO Market for "Green Cars." Just like Solyndra, and all the other Solar, Wind, and other Green Companies out there, if they do NOT get funded by the Government, they will go away. Then again, as we saw with Solyndra, even if you DO give them $500 Million bucks, they will STILL go away. WITH your money. No this is not likely to Pass ANYWAY. According to this Piece.

Boehner's victory could be short-lived. Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) said late Thursday that the measure could not pass his chamber, with a vote expected sometime Friday. A Senate defeat would leave Congress at a new stand-off.

"It fails to provide the relief that our fellow Americans need as they struggle to rebuild their lives in the wake of floods, wildfires and hurricanes, and it will be rejected by the Senate," Reid said of the bill.

No, it cuts spending on insane Liberal Agendas and takes money away from them who SUPPORT the Democrat Party. But none of this is what bothers me. THIS is. According to the Washington Post of course. But I can see this as the truth. This IS how they feel about the Conservatives and the Tea Party People out there. No, the the Washington Post, nor the Democrats. No I'm talking about the ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS. Get this.

Republicans defended the decision to hold the vote Wednesday, even though they realized it was likely to fail. The GOP leadership wanted to demonstrate to the recalcitrant conservatives that their actions had real consequences. One senior Republican adviser called the process “an educational experience.”

What they want you to believe is this. Those ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS WANT to work with the Democrats. They WANT to work with Obama. As long as they are getting a few nuggets thrown in their direction, they are happy with the scraps. Yet, those evil Conservatives, THEY are the problem. They have this absolute disdain for Authority. They want to do nothing but pander to, well, the Majority of this Country, but, they will not work with the Libs. Oh no! They will not work with poor Obama. OK, so? Here is what we will do. They want this stupid Bill? Give it to them. The Senate will not Vote on it, and the Government will shut down, and we will show them! But in TRUTH, WHO is it playing games?

Boehner’s leadership team knew that it would need Democratic votes to approve the plan, but only by Wednesday afternoon did they fully understand that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) were whipping their caucus to oppose the measure and make Boehner deliver nearly all Republican votes for passage. Rather than pulling the bill from the floor, Boehner told his deputies to hold the vote.

Rep. Dennis Ross (R-Fla.) said it best. He gets it. He said this.

“It’s painful to say that my vote helped my party lose this issue. I do not like that. I find no joy in that. I find no pride in that.

Those of us who were elected, especially just recently, have to justify why we were elected” — to cut spending.

He is RIGHT! That IS what they were sent there for. To STOP the Liberals. To STOP the out of control Spending. Stop the Government Overreach. Stop the Liberal Agendas and Government attacks on our Freedoms. NOT to work WITH them. Not to Compromise. Not to continue Business as usual in Washington. Those that stand tough, will stand tall in 2012.

Look, the Libs want to do what they always do. Spend. Cut nowhere, spend more. The ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS want to do what they always do. Give the impression that they are listening to the people, accept the scaps that are thrown at their feet, and hold up little insignificant things to say "See? See what we did for you?" Meanwhile compromising with the Left to give them whatever they want. No more. THAT IS the whole point. If Boehner can't get that, then it's time for NEW Republican Leadership. This is WHY it is so important to send reinforcements in 2012, and get Obama out. Just by sheer numbers, can we really make the changes we need to bring back REAL and TRUE Hope to the American People.

(CNSNews.com) - U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said today that the "best ideas ... in education are never going to come from me or frankly from anyone else in Washington.”

He also said some American schools are testing their students too much.

“Washington can never run public education, and what we want to do is we want to be a good partner,” Duncan said in a webcast in which he answered questions submit via Twitter.

“We want to reward courage, we want to reward excellence, we want to reward creativity, we want to hold folks accountable to high bars, but education has always been and should be at the local level,” said Duncan,

“And the best ideas, I’ve always said, in education are never going to come from me or frankly from anyone else in Washington,” he said.

“They’re always going to come from great teachers, great principals at the local level,” said Duncan. “We want to hold them accountable, but give them lots more room to move and to do the right thing for the children in their community where they know best what those children and what the community need.”

Duncan argued that in some jurisdictions students spend too much time preparing for and taking tests.

“I think in some places we do test too much, I think it varies,” said Duncan. “So, do I think we should evaluate students each year to see how they’re doing and progressing? Absolutely. But when you have too many tests or spending all your time on test prep that never leads to good results--so I think there’s real variation around the country. I think some places are doing this pretty well. Some are probably absolutely over-testing.”

Duncan said that 10 days of testing during a school year was too much.

“My children are in a great public school system,” he said. “They’re evaluated annually. I have no problem with that. If they’re getting tested 15 times a year or multiple different tests I have a problem with that.”

When asked how many days of the “traditional standard bubble test” are too many, Duncan said, “It should be a tiny percent of what we’re doing. So should students be tested 10 days? No, I think 10 days is a lot.”

“I think that’s a lot, yeah,” said Duncan. “And it’s not just the testing. … It’s the filling the bubble, you know, practicing that and, you know, if all you’re doing is doing that kind of work and not doing great instruction, great creativity, the students aren’t going to do well anyway.”

Duncan criticized the Bush administration’s No Child Left Behind Law saying it was an “impediment” for education. He said states will be able to apply for No Child Left Behind waivers in September, adding that the Obama administration has the authority to grant those without breaking any laws.

“I’ve talked to almost every governor,” said Duncan about the waivers. “I think I’ve talked to 47, 48 governors. What’s interesting, John, is there’s lots of noise here in Washington. Every single governor has said thanks for moving in this direction. Not one governor has said we don’t need this. And many governors have actually said, ‘Thank God someone in Washington is actually listening to real teachers and real people.’”

According to the Office of Management and Budget, Department of Education spending rose from $33.476 billion in fiscal 2000 to $92.858 billion in fiscal 2010.

So since: "best ideas ... in education are never going to come from me or frankly from anyone else in Washington.” and “We want to hold them accountable, but give them lots more room to move and to do the right thing for the children in their community where they know best what those children and what the community need.”Along with the Cost of $92.858 Billion dollars. Why do we need them? I agree one hundred percent with Arne Duncan. If we got the Federal Government out of it. Let the Locals handle it. Look what happened in Wisconsin. Gov. Scott Walker saw the Problem. Fixed the Problem with help of Bold Republicans. What happened? Smaller Class Sizes. Balanced School Budgets, some looking a SURPLUSES. Teachers now Paid on Results. The Schools in Wisconsin have in a VERY Short time, become a shining example of what CAN happen when the Liberals just get out of the way. When the Federal Government STOPS, or in this case WAS Stopped, interfering.

I might have to give Arne Duncan the Logic Award this Week. Of course the Kids will love the fact he thinks they are tested too much. {Smile} But he IS right here. So lets do away with this over priced FAILURE of a Federal Government Department. We now not only have an admission that they are pointless, but we have a real life example to point to.

Proof We Got Obama In Checkmate

He is starting to panic.

Hey folks,

WE HAVE WON THIS THING! All the Republicans need to do is hang tough. All they need to do is NOTHING. Obama and the Libs got us into this mess, thanks to Bush for opening the door, and it is THEM that need to figure out how to get us out of it.

The Republicans have offered a Plan. A FEW actually. Obama and Crew keep saying no. Obama said he will Veto the Balanced Budget Amendment, even if it Passes. Can't have a Balanced Budget LAW that FORCES someone that has not even bothered to summit a Budget, to control spending and debt. Can you?

Folks, Obama is starting to panic here. He KNOWS he is in a corner. He KNOWS that the majority of this country see him and the Liberals for what they are. FAILURES. Complete and utter FAILURES. He knows he CAN'T fix this mess and still further his agenda. All he KNOWS is Tax, Tax, Tax, and spend, spend, spend.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House signaled on Wednesday it could support a short-term increase in the U.S. borrowing limit for "a few days" if lawmakers agreed to a broad deficit reduction deal but needed more time to pass it.

The move, a shift from President Barack Obama's previous position, reflects the growing political reality that time is short for Congress to pass a massive deficit-cutting deal before the United States runs out of money on August 2.

So he will not sign a deal for 30, 60, 90, but will for a few days? Forget all the things he said about "some in Congress who want to do just enough to make sure that America avoids defaulting on our debt in the short term, but then wants to kick the can down the road when it comes to solving the larger problem of our deficit." That IS what his Administration has been all about from day one. Out of control spending that our GRANDCHILDREN will still be dealing with. Long after Obama and Crew are gone. Obama was right when he said this:

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

And when he said this:

"This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and States of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports, and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.

Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America’s priorities."

He is one hundred percent RIGHT! Now if he would only listen to himself. The bottom line here is WE GOT OBAMA and the Liberals in Congress at Checkmate. They have nowhere to go, but to play along with US.

Once again, let me make it CLEAR to our Republican friends. NO NEW TAXES. No Tax increases. No raising the Debt Ceiling. No more out of control spending. CUT SPENDING. As I just said before, defund and kill Obamacare, and we will cut over a Trillion right there. Look at some of the other Waste and Pork, multi similar Programs, FAILED Programs, Programs that do NOTHING to bolster American interests, and cut them out. A couple of Trillion dollars could be cut TODAY. Not in ten years. TODAY. We have a SPENDING Problem. We need to CUT SPENDING. The answer is SIMPLE.

You want a comprehensive Plan? OK. Here it is.

Seek out and cut WASTE.
Reduce the size of Government.
Reduce Corporate Tax and Regulations.
Lower the Tax Rates. Perhaps enact the Fair or Flat Tax System.
Let the Energy Sector do what they DO.
Let the Free Market BE the Free Market.

In essence, get Government out of the way. Leave us alone to BE the American People. Let America HEAL itself from the damage that YOU have done. Restore the American Dream and allow those who seek it, to do so without fear of being punished for doing so. It is not a difficult thing to understand. It's not even really all that hard to do. Just DO IT!

Now I will admit, I do not watch CNBC on a normal bases. So I have no idea who this Hostette, or who the Other Guy, Herb I guess, is. But this exchange got my attention. They are talking about our National Debt and this looming "Debt Crisis." The August 2nd deadline. The Hostette calls on the expertise of Rick Santelli who is a Hedge Fund and Trading guy, who also seems to be in close relations with the TEA PARTY Movement. That seems to be a bone of contention, yet, this does not stop him from appearing on the Network like 12 plus times DAILY. But the Hostette seems to have a problem with it. Here is the exchange.

Rick Santelli: "I tell you what i so disagree with Warren Buffett. So disagree. Who is holding who hostage? You know, any addict, you can't bend the rules. There's the steps you follow when you're an Addict. Not anything you can bend. In November there was an Election. People in the House were sent there because Voters had an appetite for less spending. They wanted D.C. to control their spending. And if whatever comes out of these meetings doesn't satisfy the Electorate, guess what? November comes in the Calendar once a year. Next year the mid-term will make it took like child's play."

Michael Farr: "These a real threat. Of course. You know, Rick Santelli is right."

Now with this the Hostette says "In so many ways." Which doesn't make the Transcript of course.

Michael Farr talking over the Hostette: "You know, we have a turn over in Washington that had a mandate to it. But, we have this spending limit we're coming up against and some how in here these guys have to work something out and compromise somewhere. This hard date, on August 2nd means we've run out of reserve cash to pay our bills. We'll have to rely just on the cash receipts which come to about $203 billion for the month of August and we got $362 billion in bills. If you don't have any cash to go to somebody is going to come up $162 billion short whether it's Social Security Recipients or Bond Holders or Debt Holders. It won't be Bond Holders.

Rick Santelli: "I don't usually agree with Goldman. This time I did. By the way since they are the College that gives us the Graduates that run the Government here was their comment. The Treasury's ability to prioritize interest payments over under spending seems increasingly clear. There's plenty of money to pay people who are owed interest payments. I agree. Everything else isn't going to get paid. But, who spent the money? Who created the obligations? Congress. Let them figure it out. The answer is easy. Spend Less. What's complicated is they are trying to massage the numbers to make these ten year projection."

What a concept. SPEND LESS. Really? Yes folks, it REALLY IS just that simple. Of course the Resident Lib. doesn't agree.

Michael Farr: "You can't jeopardize the Credit worthiness of the United States."

Rick Santelli: "I don't think we are I completely disagree. If I was a bond holder and I got my money --

Michael Farr: "You think we can?"

Rick Santelli: "I think I would be happier, maybe that's why rates are low is because we're addressing the problem."

Michael Farr: "We need to address the problem but not be irresponsible to jeopardize the Nation's Credit Rating."

Rick Santelli: "If we keep spending what we're spending, even in Illinois, we spent more on the new Budget."

Michael Farr: "They got to figure it out."

Rick Santelli: "We're fighting over a growth rate of spending. It never goes down. If we keep it up we'll have much bugger problems than we have today.

Michael Farr: "So hold their feet to the fire but not with this gun."

What is it with the Gun thing. Seriously. All these Guns?

Rick Santelli: "Darn right. If not now when? Now is the time. Now, now, now."

Michael Farr: "Now is the time but they can't use this Gun."

Rick Santelli: "Let me tell you something. Nothing will pass the House if they stick together. End of story. That's the way the game works."

Michael Farr: "Where does compromise come from Rick?"

Standard typical Liberal BS. In Libland, Compromise means YOU changing YOUR position to go along with theirs. But Rick was hanging tough.

Rick Santelli: "I don't believe in compromise on spending. There's no compromise. Stop spending. Live within your means."

At this time someone else jumps in and says this: " Rick -- too late. If you live within your means and Warren Buffett is right and there's a bullet in the Gun this time what do you think?"

Rick Santelli: "The bullet is in the gun. If we keep spending we'll for sure hit something and it will bleed."

Other Male: "If he's right and you go and you have a huge event that makes two years will look like child's play what then?"

Rick Santelli: "What huge event?"

What IF? Another Liberal Tactic when they have NOTHING. What IF Global Warming is TRUE. What IF an Asteroid hits the Earth tomorrow. What IF?

Other Male: "Here's the question, do you need a hard reset of the clock? That's what you're asking for. You think we need to reset the Clock?"

Rick Santelli: "No. I think what we need to do is live within the revenue in take, live within the revenue in take, end of story and do not ask Taxpayers for more money or increase the Debt Ceiling until you give us a budget. Until you give us a budget."

Michael Farr: "We're running you want of time."

Rick Santelli: "Whose fault is that? What have they been doing for two years."

Here is another bit that did not make the Transcript. Michael Farr ACTUALLY admits this is all the Democrats fault. Not once. But TWICE. Of course, you will not read this. Here you will. Watch the Video, he says it TWICE.

Michael Farr: "It's their fault. It's their fault. But it's a practical problem. we still have to come up with a practical solution."

Rick Santelli: "We will pay our interest payments. The Rating Agencies won't come after us. There are plenty of people that won't get program money. I understand that. But maybe the programs need less money, need to be streamlined."

Michael Farr: "Absolutely."

Rick Santelli: "It isn't a question whether you need to tackle Social Security, it's how long do you think that Bullet will take before it comes out of the revolver."

Michael Farr: "How bad does the Crisis have to get before these people do the right thing is the main question at hand."

Rick Santelli: "Couple of things. Stick tough. We all know the right thing. The right thing is to create a better environment, to create Jobs, by not living in the red."

Michael Farr: "There's a better way to compromise than facing the bullet in Warren Buffett's gun."

Rick Santelli: "We're not compromising on spending. Bye."

Hostette: :Rick Santelli we love you. Michael Farr thank you for joining us. Herb I'll remind you again there's a seat belt over here."

So I guess the "Other Guy" is Herb. Congratulations Rick Santelli. For hanging tough, and speaking the TRUTH, you ARE the Winner of the Display of Logic Award for today, Sunday, July 10, 2011. Keep speaking the Truth. The whole 100 people who actually WATCH CNBC needs to hear it. {Smile}

Time For a BBA?

Governors Haley Barbour (R.-Miss.), Bob McDonnell (R.-Va.), and Rick Perry (R.-Tex.) sent a letter to the Democrat and Republican congressional leaders on Tuesday evening

calling on them to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) to the U.S. Constitution.

“We believe it is time that the federal government be required to live within its means and balance its books every year, just as we are required to do in our respective states,” wrote the three governors in a letter obtained by HUMAN EVENTS.

The governors’ letter was sent to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.), Speaker of the House John Boehner (R.-Ohio), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnnell (R.-Ky.), and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (R.-Calif.).

“Currently, 49 states have some form of a balanced budget requirement. Millions of working families across the country balance their checkbooks every year and we believe that Congress needs to do the same,” the governors wrote.

Because the federal government is not required to balance its budget, this year alone spending will exceed revenue by $1.5 trillion. The accumulation of the years of federal budget deficits has left the U.S. with a national debt of $14.1 trillion. The debt is projected to hit the statutory limit within the next two months, at which point Congress will have to decide to raise the debt ceiling.

“In Mississippi we are required to have a balanced budget. That legal requirement makes a world of difference. And [it’s] getting our legislature to live within our means,” Barbour told HUMAN EVENTS in an interview. “The country would benefit if there were a national Balanced Budget Amendment.”

“The fact that the federal government has no Balanced Budget Amendment is to me one of the great cancers of the republic,” McDonnell told HUMAN EVENTS by phone. “I think that transferring the spending restraints that are required in every state through a Balanced Budget Amendment is what needs to be done at the federal level.”

The governors’ letter supports specific BBA legislation in the House sponsored by Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R.-Va.) and in the Senate by Senators John Cornyn (R.-Tex.) and Orrin Hatch (R.-Utah). “We support and appreciate their leadership and their effort to solve the deepening budget crisis and ask that you work with them to pass a balanced budget amendment in the 112th Congress,” the governors wrote.

In early February, Cornyn organized a conference call with McDonnell, Barbour, Perry, and Goodlatte to get state support for a BBA. A constitutional amendment requires a two-thirds vote in the House and Senate, so it would require bipartisan support for passage.

“From my conversation with them, I think they see themselves as a kind of counterbalance to the overreach in Washington,” Cornyn told HUMAN EVENTS of the call with the governors. “They can use the authority they’ve been given in their states by organizing together and forcing Washington to change. I think that’s a very constructive development.”

The governors have all been struggling to balance their own states’ budgets during this current legislative term. Along with a weak economy, the states are also forced to budget for the unfunded federal mandates, especially from the health care law known as ObamaCare, as well as education and environmental regulations. ObamaCare has forced more people into the Medicaid program, which is split 50/50 between the states and the federal government.

“We have sued the federal government to try to declare ObamaCare unconstitutional. It would increase our Medicaid rolls by two-thirds. We already have more than 20% of our population on Medicaid. And this will put us up to more than a third of our population on Medicaid. And by the time the program is fully in effect, it will cost us an extra $440 million a year,” Barbour told HUMAN EVENTS.

“Medicaid is a budget buster for Virginia and, really, every state,” McDonnell told HUMAN EVENTS. “This ObamaCare bill not only adds more spending, but it really hamstrings the governors with these maintenance-of-effort requirements. I mean this is eligibility requirements. But you really can’t do anything creative or entrepreneurial or try to reduce Medicaid spending in your states. So it’s a bad situation. And the federal government doesn’t seem interested at this point in giving us the tools to control the costs.”

According to Article V of the U.S. Constitution, an amendment must get a two-thirds vote in both the House and Senate, and be ratified by three-quarters of the states. So in the Democrat-majority Senate, the amendment would need all 47 Republicans votes plus 20 Democrats for passage.

McConnell is expected to launch an all-out push to get grassroots support for a BBA during the debate with President Obama over the terms of raising the debt ceiling.

The Senate voted on March 2 for a non-binding amendment for a BBA, sponsored by Sen. Mike Lee (R.-Utah). The final vote was 58-40. If that test vote would be an accurate measure for vote counting, then only nine more Democrats are needed to pass a BBA this year.

The last time that the Senate voted on a binding Balanced Budget Amendment was in 1997, when the measure sponsored by Hatch, failed by only one vote. The 1997 BBA was supported by 11 Democrats, four of whom are still in the Senate: Max Baucus (Mont.), Tom Harkin (Iowa), Herb Kohl (Wisc.), and Mary Landrieu (La.).

For the March 2 vote, Kohl voted in favor, but Baucus and Harkin voted against it. Landrieu did not vote. The three who voted in favor of the BBA in 1997 are considered good potential supporters of a 2011 BBA, which leaves six more needed for passage.

In the House, Goodlatte’s BBA bill is considered more likely to get bipartisan support for passage. The House passed a BBA in 1995 as part of the “Contract With America.”

Under the new Senate Republican version of the BBA, the federal government would have to balance federal spending to incoming revenue each year, cap spending at 18% of the gross domestic product (GDP), require a two-thirds vote in Congress to pass a budget that is out of balance or to raise taxes, mandate that the President submit a balanced budget each year, and get a three-fifths vote to raise the debt ceiling.

“Undoubtedly, Washington has a spending problem, and this problem is getting worse,” the three governors wrote in the letter to Congressional leaders. “Hence, a balanced budget amendment is a common-sense measure that is long overdue and whose time has come.”

Now again, SOUNDS like a great idea. But they need Two Thirds to pass it. That means Two Thirds that will have to agree to spend within their means? Like I said, I have my doubts.

$1 Trillion In New Spending Not Real

Tax Rate Deal.

Hey folks,

I'm getting more and more annoyed as time goes on with this whole mess and I know you are too. I AM angry with the Republican Leadership, of whom is still the Country Club Blue Blood Types, that do not seem to have gotten the message. I'm upset with every News Outlet out there LYING about the new cost. But I'm even more upset with the Democrats.

First, it was all over the Radio, on TV, in Print, ETC. The new number is $1 TRILLION in new spending. Truth is, it doesn't have to cost a DIME. All they have to do is extend the Bush Tax RATES. That's all they have to do. It's not Tax Cuts. It's not an addition to the Deficient or Debt. It didn't exist for the last ten years, the $6 to $700 Billion, that everyone wants to keep throwing out there. It is not REAL. But we covered all that.

Problem is, there IS a cost now that both sides have started to add to, and condone the addition of, the Extension Bill. You have an Ethanol Subsidy, which is estimated to cost about $5 billion through 2011. Then $65 Billion in Unemployment Extensions. There are more being debated, and some are saying the cost is now about $855 Billion. That is counting what we already discussed to not be real of around $700 Billion in the extension of the Bush "Tax Cuts." So take that away, I count $70 Billion, some count $155 Billion in Pork.

Again, all they would have to do is extend the Rates, and it would cost NOTHING. But the Old Guard, both in the Democrat Party, and the Republicans, feel that the only way to get the deal done is BUY the Votes from those on the other side of the Isle. Basically, Politics as usual.

Here is why I'm getting more and more Ticked. Just the fact that the Old Guard in the Republican Leadership, who is doing everything they can, from filling support staff positions for the Newbies, the CONSERVATIVES who are arriving, with Yes People and Old Guard Republicans, to attempting to do as much as they can PRIOR to the Newbies arriving officially, do not seem to get what the Election meant. The Election was crystal Clear. NO MORE POLITICS AS USUAL. Here is what that means.

No more Governing against the Will of the People.
Smaller, less intrusive Government.
Cuts in Spending. No more Pork. No more Buying Votes.
Repeal and Defeat of the Liberal Agendas.

What it did not mean, was that we want a change in Leadership with R's after their names. We want TRUE Change. We do not want compromise. We want Conservatism. We do not want Washington to change Management, then operate under the same Rules it has been operating under for YEARS.

Am I willing to accept and go along with this Deal. Even if it means adding $70 to $155 Billion more? YES. Because my hope is, that come January, we will get more Chris Christies. We will get more Jim DeMints. We will get TRUE, and BOLD Conservatives in power that will GOVERN with Conservative Values. That we will have a House that will not be bought off, Shamed into, or intimidated into going along with the Blue Blood Country Club, Washington Elites. That what we will get is REAL Conservatives, that are ready to and willing to, make the tough decisions and CUT Government Spending. We can EASILY make up this little addition to the Debt and Deficient, by repeals, and better Budgeting and Spending.

Look, the Tax Rates HAVE to be extended. If that means that the Unemployment is as well, so be it. We can and BETTER Fix the more costly things in the VERY Near Future. I still have faith in those that we have Elected. Let's give them time to take office and lets see if they are up to the Job.

Analysis Of Obama's Clean Energy Investment Speech

Yesterday, in a rare Saturday Post here at the OPNTalk Blog, I posted the entire Transcript of Barack's Speech given yesterday about Job loss, and his Clean Energy Investment. What do I think of what he had to say? Here is my analysis of his speech.

THE PRESIDENT: Good afternoon, everybody. Before I announce a significant new investment we’re making in clean energy, I want to give an update on a matter of concern to every American — and that’s our employment picture.

The jobs numbers that were released by the Labor Department this morning are a reminder that the road to recovery is never straight, and that we have to continue to work every single day to get our economy moving again. For most Americans, and for me, that means jobs. It means whether we are putting people back to work.

Cut taxes, DROP Cap and Tax, Kill Obamacare, and WATCH Jobs SORE!

Job losses for the last quarter of 2009 were one-tenth of what we were experiencing in the first quarter. In fact, in November we saw the first gain in jobs in nearly two years. Last month, however, we slipped back, losing more jobs than we gained, though the overall trend of job loss is still pointing in the right direction.

Why would this be a surprise to anyone? Seriously folks. EVERY YEAR, we have a Job surge in November, and a reduction between December and January. Why? The Holiday Season. Part time and Seasonal Jobs. EVERY YEAR this happens. Due to the slower Shopping Season, and the increase of Internet Shopping, retailers found that they did not need as much help as needed this year. So they started unloading their Holiday Season Jobs earlier.

What this underscores, though, is that we have to continue to explore every avenue to accelerate the return to hiring, which brings me to my announcement today. The Recovery Act has been a major force in breaking the trajectory of this recession and stimulating growth and hiring. And one of the most popular elements of it has been a clean energy manufacturing initiative that will put Americans to work while helping America gain the lead when it comes to clean energy.

{Sigh} It's only Popular to the Kooks, and those ignorant to still believe in the whole SCAM that is GWBS. The Recovery Act has done NOTHING. As this new report shows, we are STILL at record Unemployment with people still losing jobs. People are still losing their homes. People are still can't get loans. All the Recovery Act did, was line the pockets of a handful of people.

It’s clear why such an effort is so important. Building a robust clean energy sector is how we will create the jobs of the future — jobs that pay well and can’t be outsourced. But it’s also how we will reduce our dangerous dependence on foreign oil, a dependence that endangers our economy and our security. And it is how we will combat the threat of climate change and leave our children a planet that’s safer than the one we inherited.

All complete BS. Why can these jobs NOT be outsourced? Who is making some of the Solar Panels in use TODAY? What an ignorant thing to say. ANYTHING can be outsourced. I'm not sure when that could be said to be good. But Anything can and WILL be, if some Company Heads discover, "I can move my plant to XWZ, NOT pay Taxes, NOT be regulated to death, NOT be forced to pay Oppressive Healthcare costs. Hell, why not."

As for our decreased security and dependence on foreign governments, we could have achieve that YEARS ago. We could do that within TWO years. It's called use our own resources. Drill Here, Drill Now, that will do it. There IS NO Man-Made Global Warming. Ask Britain right now with 50 BELOW tempts, and most of America. South Florida never got out of the 40s yesterday. No storms to speak of. The Ice is NOT melting. We are in a COOLING CYCLE. A natural pattern.

Harnessing new forms of energy will be one of the defining challenges of the 21st century. And unfortunately, right now the United States, the nation that pioneered the use of clean energy, is being outpaced by nations around the world. It’s China that has launched the largest effort in history to make their economy energy efficient. We spearheaded the development of solar technology, but we’ve fallen behind countries like Germany and Japan in producing it. And almost all of the batteries that we use to power our hybrid vehicles are still manufactured by Japanese companies or in Asia — though, because of one of the steps like the one we’re taking today, we’re beginning to produce more of these batteries here at home.

These Hybrids are not the saving grace everyone though they were folks. I know a few people that have gone out and bought one. They ALL say the same thing. "Kind cool, but over priced, and the savings on gas seems insignificant in the long run." OH, and did Obama not just say that these "green Jobs" CAN'T be outsourced?

Now, I welcome and am pleased to see a real competition emerging around the world to develop these kinds of clean energy technologies. Competition is what fuels innovation. But I don’t want America to lose that competition. I don’t want the industries that yield the jobs of tomorrow to be built overseas. I don’t want the technology that will transform the way we use energy to be invented abroad. I want the United States of America to be what it has always been — and that is a leader — the leader when it comes to a clean energy future.

That's NOT going to create the jobs we need TODAY!

And that’s exactly what this clean energy manufacturing initiative will help us do. It will help close the clean energy gap that’s grown between America and other nations. Through this initiative, we’re awarding $2.3 billion in tax credits for American manufacturers of clean energy technologies — companies that build wind turbines, and produce solar panels, and assemble cutting edge batteries. The initiative we’re outlining today will likely generate 17,000 jobs, and the roughly $5 billion more that we’ll leverage in the private sector investments could help create tens of thousands of additional jobs.

WAIT!! STOP!! NO. 17,000? Do you know how many employees Wal-Mart has? 2.1 million employees. Do you know how many McDonald's has? 1.5 million. We already talked about the fact that if we allowed the Oil and Natural Gas Companies to do what they do, they would create 650,000 REAL, Long term jobs. 17,000? I could buy a couple of fast food franchises and produce more jobs than that. $2.3 Billion dollars for 17,000 new jobs, that may or may not last? After LOSING 7.3 MILLION jobs? Doesn't seem all that worth while or logical.

At the same time, this initiative will give a much-needed boost to our manufacturing sector by building new plants or upgrading old ones. And we’ll take an important step toward meeting the goal I’ve set of doubling the amount of renewable power we use in the next three years with wind turbines and solar panels built right here in the U.S. of A. Put simply, this initiative is good for middle-class families. It is good for our security. It’s good for our planet.

Well, doubling nothing is pretty easy. But who is going to BUY all these things?

Over 180 projects in over 40 states will receive these tax credits. And one of them is TPI Composites, Inc., which is based in Newton, Iowa — one of America’s leading wind turbine manufacturers. Because of these tax credits, TPI Composites will not only be able to expand an existing facility in Newton, they’ll not only be able to build a brand new facility in Nebraska, they’ll also be able to hire over 200 new workers. And it’s my hope that similar stories will be told in cities and towns across America because of this initiative.

In fact, this initiative has been so popular that we have far more qualified applicants than we’ve been able to fund. We received requests for roughly three times as much in funding — $7.6 billion — as we could provide. And that’s why, as part of the jobs package on which I’m urging Congress to act, I’ve called for investing another $5 billion in this program, which could put even more Americans to work right away building and equipping clean energy manufacturing facilities here in the United States.

In the letters that I receive at night, and I — many of you know I get about 10 letters a night that I take a look at — I often hear from Americans who are facing hard times — Americans who’ve lost their jobs, or can’t afford to pay their bills; they’re worried about what the future holds. I am confident that if we harness the ingenuity of companies like TPI Composites; if we can tap the talents of our workers, and our innovators, and our entrepreneurs; if we can gain the lead in clean energy worldwide; then we’ll forge a future where a better life is possible in our country over the long run. That’s a future we’re now closer to building because of the steps that we’re taking today.

10 letters a night? {Laughing} OK. Not sure the point. I can name over 100 people off the top of my head that are not happy with ANY OF THIS. There are MILLIONS of people out there, the MAJORITY of Americans that understand that this is all a SCAM and that YOU, Mr. President, are destroying this Economy. 10 letters? Whatever. Of course if you are giving free money away, you will have a request for MORE. {Sigh}

Folks, my reaction to this is simple. More spending, no answers. Not really.
