Pope Says What Politicians Should

Pope knows more TRUE History than Candidates.

Hey folks,

As you know yesterday was a historic day. Pope Benedict XVI is the first papal visit to the White House in 29 years. He gave a great speech. He reminded us of our history, and who we are as a people. He said the things that would, without a doubt, get the Candidate who had the nerve to say them, elected in a landslide.

He did not call this country "mean." He did not blame this country for all the problems of the world. He did not say how we need to change to a more Socialistic society. He did not tell you how bad we have it here. He called this country GREAT. He told you the truth.

"From the dawn of the Republic, America's quest for freedom has been guided by the conviction that the principles governing political and social life are intimately linked to a moral order based on the dominion of God the Creator. The framers of this nation's founding documents drew upon this conviction when they proclaimed the self-evident truth that all men are created equal and endowed with inalienable rights grounded in the laws of nature and of nature's God."

This country was founded on the bases of FREEDOM OF RELIGION. We became a country FREE to worship God. NOT forced to by the government. Not force to worship only the God that the Government says. The Founding Fathers made it PERFECTLY clear, that you can not have freedom without GOD.

There is no "Separation of Church and State" anywhere in the Constitution. That is a complete misinterpretation and misrepresentation of the First Amendment. It was placed there to do what some have been able to do. Force EVERYONE to follow one religion. In this case, Secularism. There has been a movement over the years to remove God from Public life. Look what we have now? Look at our Schools. Look at our society. This was NEVER intended by the Founding Fathers. It is freedom OF, Not FROM Religion. I couldn't care less what the Supreme Court said. To ban God from public life IS Unconstitutional.

"The course of American history demonstrates the difficulties, the struggles, and the great intellectual and moral resolve which were demanded to shape a society which faithfully embodied these noble principles. In that process, which forged the soul of the nation, religious beliefs were a constant inspiration and driving force, as for example in the struggle against slavery and in the civil rights movement. In our time, too, particularly in moments of crisis, Americans continue to find their strength in a commitment to this patrimony of shared ideas and aspirations."

Amen. Notice he did not say that those hicks "cling to Religion." Notice he did not talk down to those who hold their faith with high regard. Any faith. Notice he did not all of a sudden acquire an accent when talking about these folks to attempt to become one of them? or at least sound the way he thinks they sound.

Now of course the Liberals are going to HATE this. They will cling to their false belief that our Constitution forces separation of God from public life. They will cling to their belief that THEY are the answer to what ails this country. That THEY are the smartest group of people in the room. They will continue to believe that those that follow the Pope, and any religion for that matter, are nothing but dumb Hicks. The complete arrogance and ignorance of this way of thinking is stupefying. It really is.

Now while scanning the news to find what people are talking about in regards to this speech, I found this from the New York Times. Now of course they talk about it they way you would expect. They are afraid of the Pope. They are afraid of the Faithful. so they attack them. Their whole premise here is NOT how great the speech was. Nor was it even ABOUT the speech. They give this quote from the Pope that did NOT appear in his Speech, but in a meeting with Bishops.

“Perhaps America’s brand of secularism poses a particular problem,” he told American bishops here. “It allows for professing belief in God, and respects the public role of religion and the churches, but at the same time can subtly reduce religious belief to a lowest common denominator.”

“The result is a growing separation of faith from life,” he said.

THAT is the whole goal of Secularist, Socialist, Marxist, Liberals. That is the whole point. The NYT portrays this as an attack on those that do not share the Catholic faith. They are attempting to instill, in their dwindling readership, FEAR that the Religious folks are out to get them. This is how they really see it. This is how, contrary to what they say when surrounded by Religious folks, the Candidates think and how THEY feel about the Faithful. Attempt to reach out to them with smoke and mirrors, then call them dumb Hicks when they think they can not hear them.

I'm telling you folks, if we had a candidate that would stand up, call this country GREAT, and start attempting to encourage and motivate people based on the whole reason this country was founded to begin with, they would become the next President of the United States in a landslide. It would happen faster than you can say Socialism. To bad we do not have one at this point.
Peter
