President Bush Speech Creates More Insanity From Looney Land

Hey folks,

The key words to look for? “War without End.” That is what you will be hearing today. This is what the Media Guru {Soros} has picked for the magic words of the day. The Loons have already started the trend.

Basically, the President told us what we already knew. The surge is working. We are winning. Some troops will be coming home. This is all good news. Well, for America, NOT for the Democrats. Of course you know that the MMD {Mass Media Drones}, who write what they are told, will become lockstep with the LWL.

Like this from the AP -Bush preserves big troop level in Iraq By JENNIFER LOVEN, Associated Press Writer

President Bush's claim that progress in Iraq justifies preserving a large U.S. military presence there for at least 10 more months was shadowed by discouraging developments on the security and political fronts.

Before she even gets to the speech, she points out whatever bad news she can find.

Friday morning, 12 hours after Bush's address to the nation, the White House was to report that Iraqi leaders had gained almost no new ground in meeting U.S. benchmarks on bringing about reconciliation and stability. The report being sent to Congress by the White House underscored the difficulty of Bush's argument that American sacrifice was creating space for political progress by Iraqis.

Not true, and completely political.

Other bad news hit 12 hours before Bush's speech, when Iraqi police reported the assassination in Anbar province of a prominent figure in a local alliance with U.S. troops against al-Qaida. It was a sharp blow to Bush's frequent celebration of military gains in that region as a model for the rest of the country.

NOW to the Presidents address.

In his 18-minute remarks Thursday night, the president ordered U.S. troop levels to drop to a point they were already slated to reach, while saying they would start seven months sooner than scheduled.

Which is good.

Bush said 5,700 U.S. forces would be home by Christmas instead of leaving Iraq beginning in the spring as originally planned. Four more combat brigades would pull out of Iraq as currently scheduled by July.

These troops comprise the troop buildup that Bush ordered in January that boosted U.S. troop strength to 168,000, the highest level of the war. Under the withdrawal plan, troop levels would drop back to around 130,000 by next summer, close to where they were before the buildup.

Which means it worked. We are winning. GOOD NEWS.

The president's speech marked only the latest shift in direction — and rationale and packaging — for a war that has lasted 4 1/2 years and cost a half trillion dollars and nearly 3,800 American lives.

Bush's decision sets the stage for a fiery political debate in Congress and on the 2008 presidential campaign trail. Democrats said Bush's modest approach was unacceptable.

"The president failed to provide either a plan to successfully end the war or a convincing rationale to continue it," Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., said in the Democrat's televised response.

Then after hemming and hawing a bit, this reporter brings up sheik Abdul-Sattar Abu Risha AGAIN.

Despite the stunning setback represented by Thursday's killing of Sunni sheik Abdul-Sattar Abu Risha, Bush said Anbar, once considered lost to al-Qaida, shows what can happen across Iraq. Yet while mentioning Abu Risha, with whom the president met last week on a surprise trip to Anbar, Bush said, "In Anbar, the enemy remains active and deadly."

Basically, this whole piece is to attempt to discredit what the President said. To attempt to get you to believe he wants a “War without End.” That we cannot win. Here are some more responses to the President .

Before the President spoke a word, Our good buddy Screaming Dean said this.

"The President's speech tonight offers a war without end. It is a PR stunt to buy more time for a stay the course strategy in Iraq that simply hasn't worked. There's a reason two-thirds of Americans want a troop decrease in Iraq: our brave troops have done everything that's been asked of them, but they cannot solve Iraq's political problems. Now they are hostage to the failure of our civilian leadership to present a thoughtful plan to bring them home.

"It is long past time for the President to acknowledge the realities on the ground in Iraq and for Bush Republicans in Congress to stop standing behind the President and start standing up for the American people instead. Republicans urged the American people all along to wait till September before changing course. Well it's September, and it's time to do just that."

Howard Dean would not recognize reality. We already KNOW what the reality on the ground is. The General that is leading the effort just TOLD us. You are the ones dealing in outright lies and treasonous actions.

Then this from Traitor and LWL owned and paid for member Pelosi.

"Tonight, President Bush outlined a status quo strategy that leaves at least 130,000 American soldiers in harm's way as part of a 10-year occupation of Iraq.”

No one said ten years. It may be more. {Smile} It could be less.

"The American people reject the President's call for an 'enduring relationship' with Iraq that is based on leaving our troops in the middle of a deadly civil war for at least 10 years. The President failed to answer how maintaining 130,000 soldiers in Iraq would strengthen our military, make us safer, or how he would pay for its additional $700 billion cost.”

HE JUST SAID THAT!!! There is NO way that this statement can even resemble the truth. I’m sure we will be flooded in the coming days by polls, but at this point, sorry, “The American people reject the President's call for an 'enduring relationship' with Iraq” is just part of the templet of the LWL. Not even possible of being remotely true at this point.

"In the fifth year of war, after more than 3,700 brave Americans have lost their lives, it is unconscionable to ask additional sacrifices of our military while Iraqi politicians refuse to make the political progress necessary to end sectarian violence. The choice is between a Democratic plan for responsible redeployment and the President's plan for a 10-year war in Iraq."

They are back to their old plan of attack. I told you why, they are SCARED to DEATH. They know that they are on the wrong side of this. They know, that when our men and women start to come home, they are going to have an even more difficult time saying the “War is lost.” and things like “War without end.” They MUST now do whatever they can to force a loss in Iraq, or THEY are done. THEY should be done now, for all this treasonous actions. But time is ticking and 08 is coming.

Then you have this little gem by Ratboy {Congressman Dennis Kucinich}

"Tonight, we were promised a war without end. It is now up to Congress to bring an end to the President's war. The Democrats have an obligation to the American people who voted for a new direction in Iraq. The Democratic-controlled Congress needs to take a stand against this President and say they will not give him any more money.

The President's policies have failed and it is up to the Congress to take decisive action. I call on the Democratic leadership of the House and Senate to fulfill their promise to the people who elected them in 2006 to end the war and bring our troops home."

Folks, these people have lost their minds. I keep telling you this. Some of our troops coming home before Christmas. More by the summer. This is GREAT NEWS! We are winning. Improvements are being made. There IS political progress. We just got a pretty good report from those ACTUALLY on the ground there. Actually fighting the war. Fighting the enemy. But these loons are telling you THEY know better. Sitting at their desks, being told what to say by Soros, via moveon.org. Also look for the MMD increase negative reporting from Iraq in an attempt to “support” the LWL in their surrender campaign. Even more so as 08 grows near. More so as long as GREAT news keeps coming out of Iraq. Of course, even more so, now that the tide is changing HERE in attitudes and approvals of the President.

Pelosi said, “The choice is between a Democratic plan for responsible redeployment and the President's plan for a 10-year war in Iraq." No, the choice the American people have to make is who to listen to. Those engaging the enemy. Actually there, on the ground, or people coming out and saying the complete opposite, while sitting at a desk in Washington, because they are TOLD to. What the American people have to do is chose between Victory, or defeat and surrender. This American, chooses victory.

Iraq bench marks?

Note what happened here;

1775 War starts with England
1776 Declaration of Independence is indorsed
1787 Constitution is adopted
1789 The government under the Constitution began operations
1791 The Bill of rights was ratified.

It took 16 years for this country to form the Government. During that time
arguments raged across the country for and against all of the above.
The important thing was that they were allowed to argue and didn’t have
the problems of terrorist, Iran , Harry Reid, Pelosi or the present corrupt Democratic party.
