Updates on the two fizzles
NOTE: This was to be posting this morning, 090208. My apologies for the delay. Not exactly sure what happened, but here it is now.
Hey folks,
First, THANK GOD! I mean that. Thank God that Gustav DID indeed weaken before hitting the Gulf Coast. Coming on shore as a strong Cat One, Gustav did very little damage and causing little flooding, compared to the possibility of MUCH Worse. Hopefully the people in the effected area's will be able to get to clean up and possible normalcy a lot sooner than anyone thought.
People, advocates and critics of the Emergence Responds teams alike, are praising them for their readiness and early response. What had the potential of becoming the next Katrina, turned out to be nothing even close. This was a good thing for those there. Gustav went from monster to fizzle.
So how did Little Jess do? You know, the 50 thousand strong anti-war march at the GOP convention? Are they the main news like Little Jess predicted? No. It was more like 8 to 10 thousand, if that, and I can only find one story about them. It is not good for them. Seems they were more dangerous than Gustav. Have to love those "Peace Rallies."
According to the only story I could find about these idiots, FoxNews.com - Anti-War Protest at GOP Convention Turns Violent by Stephen Clark Monday, September 1, 2008
ST. PAUL, Minn. — A protest near the site of the Republican National Convention gave way to violence Monday as demonstrators attacked members of the Connecticut delegation, smashed windows, slashed car tires and threw bottles during an anti-war march, St. Paul police said.
Up to 256 people were arrested by police using pepper spray in some confrontations, police told FOX News. Police were determining on a case-by-case basis how to process them.
Five people were accused of setting fire to a trash bin and pushing it into a police car, St. Paul police spokesman Tom Walsh said.
The violent demonstrators were mostly dressed in black and described themselves as anarchists. Most of the violence occurred in pockets of a neighborhood near downtown, several blocks from the Xcel Energy Center, where the convention was taking place. At the request of police, 150 Minnesota National Guard soldiers helped control splinter groups near downtown long after anti-war marchers had dispersed.
Protesters attacked members of the Connecticut delegation when they got off their buses near Xcel Center, delegates told FOX News.com and a local TV station.
A group of protesters came toward the delegation and tried to rip the credentials off their necks and sprayed them with a toxic substance that burned their eyes and stained their clothes, delegate Rob Simmons told KMSP-TV.
One 80-year-old member of the delegation had to be treated for injuries, and several other delegates had to rinse their eyes and clothing, the station reported.
"Kumbaya my love, Kumbaya." Like I said, you got to love those peace rallies. You know what else I noticed about this only report I could find about their little "Peaceful" march, Jess was not quoted anywhere. {Laughing} She must really be disappointed.
Anyway, if you want to read more about their stupid little chants and songs, click the link. Basically same old Liberal, anti-war, 15 minutes of fame seeking rhetoric.
So both of the "Big News" from yesterday turned out to be a bust. Oh, and so far, you know what elese is a bust? Dirt being found on Palin. They are building a list though. Let's see.
Dismissal of the state's public safety commissioner.
17 year old Daughter pregnant. Unwed
Her husband got a DUI when he was 22.
OH here we go, PALIN got a citation for fishing without a Lic. YEAH!
{Laughing} Folks, this really is fun to watch. One, there is no improprieties on the firing of the public safety commissioner. Her Daughter made the same mistake that WAY too many kids do every day and her and the Father are said to be married. Her husband got a DUI, not her, when he was 22, 20 years ago. A fine for fishing without a lic. seems to be the most dirt they have found yet.
So now they are asking if she was vetted properly? Who is fishing now. {Smile}
We will be keeping a REALLY close eye on Hanna. Updates to follow. Have a great day, and see you soon.
Peter
