Even Her Side Is Running Away

Hey folks,

I caught this after all the posts on Sunday, and did not want to take away from our special gust on Monday, so here you go.

You KNOW you are having a bad day when even your own people start backing away from you. No, I’m not talking about Hillary. Supreme Leader Wannabe, Socialist Society Seeking, Communist loving Hillary taking illegal laundered campaign contributions from Chinese. Any questions on that one? Anyone?

No, I’m talking about LWL Leader and Traitor Pelosi. Remember what I said about the Armenia genocide resolution? Back on Friday October 12, I said this.

“That is complete and utter BS. Not even Bunk. That is complete BS The TIMING is exactly RIGHT, for the LWL and Traitors in Congress, to further their agenda of hindering the troops, attempting to block this President from keeping America safe, and causing us to LOSE the War while Bush is still President. It really is that simple.”

I told you about the letter Pelosi received signed by the eight living former U.S. secretaries of state, Republicans and Democrats, stating that passage of the Armenian Genocide resolution would harm our foreign policy objectives to promote reconciliation between Turkey and Armenia. The letter also strongly urges the speaker not to bring the resolution to the House floor.

I ended with this.

“Again, just like the “poor children” when it comes to Healthcare, or the “support” they show for our soldiers, while delaying funds, while calling them stupid, murders, torturers, Nazis, or YOU, when they talk about moving America forward, they do NOT care. They do not care about what happened to the Armenians, they are USING them as political pawns. It is, just that simple.”

She STILL wanted and wants to continue with this. Denying the real intent the whole time of course. This is not going well though. According to Reuters - Pelosi's judgment questioned over Armenia issue

Democrat Nancy Pelosi's pledge of a new direction took a detour when she fumbled an Armenian genocide resolution and raised questions about her leadership as the highest ranking member of the U.S. Congress.

Pelosi, 67, speaker of the House of Representatives and next in line to the presidency after the vice president, swore she would push the controversial resolution to a vote, then blinked when some fellow Democrats withdrew their support in the face of furious reaction from Turkey.

President George W. Bush warned the symbolic resolution to affirm the 1915 massacre of Armenians by Ottoman Turks as genocide would harm Washington's relations with Ankara. But as long as it looked like it would pass, Pelosi stuck to her guns.

{Laughing} “As long as it looked like it would pass.” They do EVERYTHING based on “Popular opinion.” Based on polls. Forget right and wrong. “What’s POPULAR? We’ll do that.”

When Democratic support started waning last week amid protests from NATO ally Turkey -- which denounced the measure as “insulting” and hinted at halting logistical support for the U.S. war effort in Iraq -- Pelosi wavered.

What did I tell you?

Critics say she miscalculated.

“Miscalculated?”
No, that WAS her whole point. That WAS the goal. Again, they got found out. They got caught. Lights came on, the Cockroaches scattered.

“It's certainly not her finest moment,” said Michael O'Hanlon, senior fellow in foreign policy studies at the Brookings Institution in Washington.

“There's been no great harm done, but we do have to find some ways to mend the U.S.-Turkish relationship.”

Turkey accepts that many Armenians were killed in World War One, but denies they were victims of a systematic genocide.

Pelosi took office amid much fanfare 10 months ago. She proposed “a new direction” for America and vowed to challenge Bush on a host of fronts, including the Iraq war.

We all now KNOW what that new direction is all about.

Her stumble on the Armenia resolution gave Republican critics more ammunition.

They called the bill another “irresponsible” or “dangerous” foreign policy gambit by Pelosi, who flew to Syria last spring when the White House was not on speaking terms with Damascus.

Pelosi also has tried for months without success to defy Bush's policy on Iraq with legislation forcing a withdrawal of U.S. troops.

Definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome. It will NEVER happen. But they keep trying. I love this. Get this.

Even some of Pelosi's closest allies, like Pennsylvania Rep. John Murtha, say she misjudged the Armenian resolution.

No, got caught.

Murtha, who opposes the measure on the grounds the United States doesn't have any “damn allies” and therefore needs to keep Turkey on its side, counted up to 60 Democratic votes against it and said it would fail if brought up.

MURTHA folks.

Pelosi is one of several Californians in Congress with many Armenian-Americans in their districts. They have pushed similar proposals for years.

“She feels morally committed to this issue,” said Murtha. “It's just, is it practical at this point to go forward with it?”

Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich offered another excuse for Pelosi's misstep: she had too much on her plate.

I wonder if that was intentional. “Dennis Kucinich offered another excuse”

This week House Democrats also tried and failed to override Bush's veto on a children's health program. A bill to revise rules for government eavesdropping on terrorism suspects had to be pulled from the floor at the last minute.

“The pace of this institution is not always conducive to a well-thought-out approach, to considering the consequences of a certain type of action,” Kucinich said.

Pelosi still has not ruled out calling a full House vote on the Armenian resolution, which the House Foreign Affairs Committee passed on October 10.

{Sigh}

Some conservative commentators suggested the genocide measure was part of a hidden Democratic agenda to undermine the Iraq war effort, but other analysts said that was unlikely.

Of course it is.

"I think it's more domestic politics, playing to interest groups, than backdoor foreign policy," said George Washington University professor of international affairs Henry Nau.

"If members of Congress are plotting with interest groups to weaken Turkish support of U.S. policy in Iraq and thus undermine American forces in Iraq, the drama thickens beyond my capacity to comprehend," he said.

“Beyond my capacity to comprehend”
THAT is one of the problems. It IS beyond MANY people’s capacity to comprehend that we actually have a political party in this country that wants us to lose this war. It is beyond MANY people’s capacity to comprehend , that we could actually have a political party in this country that WANTS to bring about a Socialist Society. That ACTUALLY want to take away the freedoms that have made this country so great, and replace it with tyranny. But the truth is the truth. She did, there are, and they are trying to. America needs to wake up and see what is, as it is. Before we start standing in line for bread.

I don’t think, even she, is this stupid, to bring this to the house floor. If she does, she already knows it will fail. It will be nothing more than another show for the owners of the New Democrat Party. Nothing more. But the consequences are dangerous.

Turkey Going to Iraq

Hey folks,

People are actually wondering why Turkey seems to no longer want to play by our rules? Really? According to Reuters - Turkey to approve troops to Iraq By Gareth Jones1 hour, 38 minutes ago

Turkey will defy international pressure on Wednesday and grant its troops permission to enter northern Iraq to crush Kurdish separatist rebels based there.

Turkey's prime minister has sought to play down expectations of an imminent attack, but the parliamentary vote will effectively give the army a free hand to act as and when it sees fit.

Washington, Ankara's NATO ally, says it understands Turkey's desire to tackle rebels of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), but fears a major incursion would wreck stability in the most peaceful part of Iraq and potentially in the wider region.

Turkey's stance has helped drive global oil prices to $88 a barrel, a new record, and has hit its lira currency as investors weigh the economic risks of any major military operation.

Parliamentary approval would create the legal basis for military action. By law, Turkey's parliament must approve the deployment of Turkish troops abroad.

Parliament is expected to approve the request from Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan's cabinet by a large majority after an open debate, starting at 1200 GMT.

“Passage of this motion does not mean an immediate incursion will follow, but we will act at the right time and under the right conditions,” Erdogan told his ruling AK Party on Tuesday.

“This is about self-defense,” he said in televised remarks.

Now you have to think about this folks. This has been going on since 80s. They have been a powerful ally to us in this war since 9-11. They have allowed us to use their base to fight the war. Remember what we learned about Turkey's Incirlik airbase

“Gates said that about 70 percent of all Iraq-bound US air cargo, 95 percent of tough new mine-resistant vehicles and one-third of the military's fuel transit through Turkey.”

Yet they have been following our lead. They have NOT planned on going in themselves. They had NOT planned on doing what they are voted on today. They did not want to add to the effort in a negative way. To complicate things. But now?

Iraqi Vice-President Tareq al-Hashemi lobbied Erdogan and President Abdullah Gul in Ankara on Tuesday to refrain from military action and to seek a diplomatic solution.

Erdogan is under public pressure to hit PKK camps in northern Iraq after a series of deadly rebel attacks on Turkish troops.

Markets are closely following the incursion debate.

APPEALS UNHEEDED

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, asked about possible Turkish action in northern Iraq, made a veiled appeal for restraint. “Any measures by any country should not create any concerns,” he told reporters in New York

“We are going through a very difficult and sensitive period in Iraq. We need full cooperation and support from the countries in the region,” he said, noting that Turkey would host an international conference on Iraq in early November.

Why should they?

Washington and Baghdad have so far failed to take action against the estimated 3,000 PKK guerrillas hiding in northern Iraq, despite repeated Turkish appeals over a number of years.

Yet, Turkey has been patient. Until now.

Ankara knows Baghdad has little clout in Iraq's autonomous Kurdish north, whose leaders have consistently refused to take up arms against their ethnic kin in the PKK. Washington's own forces are stretched in central and southern Iraq.

Brent Scowcroft, a former U.S. National Security Council adviser in Ankara to lobby Turkish officials, said Washington should have done more to address Turkish concerns about the PKK.

“We have taken some steps but they have been very inadequate and we are trying to improve cooperation between Iraq and Turkey on dealing with that,” he told Reuters on Tuesday.

He said any Turkish incursion into northern Iraq was likely to destabilize the area and complicate an already complex situation there.

“But also the Turks are an ally and they are suffering from PKK activities across the border, so it's a balancing act,” Scowcroft added.

Turkish opposition parties strongly back the plan for military action, with only the small pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP) expressing concern about the implications.

Ankara blames the PKK, considered a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union, for the deaths of more than 30,000 people since the group launched its armed struggle for an ethnic homeland in southeast Turkey in 1984.

Turkey conducted large military operations in northern Iraq against the PKK in the 1990s but failed to wipe out the rebels.

Some analysts say that despite its tough rhetoric Turkey may limit itself to aerial bombardment of rebel targets and small forays across the border while avoiding a major incursion.

Maybe not. Why should they listen to us anymore? Brent Scowcroft, a former U.S. National Security Council adviser in Ankara to lobby Turkish officials, said Washington should have done more to address Turkish concerns about the PKK.

“We have taken some steps but they have been very inadequate and we are trying to improve cooperation between Iraq and Turkey on dealing with that,” he told Reuters on Tuesday.

Yes, then the United States Congress just accused them of Genocide with HR 106.That’s really helping them. “OH come on Pete, are you really blaming the Democrat Party for this?” YES. This has been going on since the 80s. They have been our allies, and have not attempted to further this type of action, until NOW. What has changed since then? HR 106. It really is that simple.

Once again, you see the LWL in Congress playing political games without any concern, or through complete ignorance as to what the REAL outcome could be. I do not know about you, but I really do not believe they are this stupid. I truly believe they KNOW what they are doing. That makes it even worse. But this is what you get, from the new Democrat Party.

Instead Of Taking Over The Country, How About Running It?

Hey folks,

I have already told you that “Child Health Care” bill is nothing more than a Trojan Horse by the LWL to enact Universal Health Care. It’s a bad bill. The President Vetoed it as well he should have. It was being abused by many states covering adults. The President said,

“Unfortunately, more than 500,000 poor children who are eligible for SCHIP coverage are not enrolled in the program. At the same time, many States are spending SCHIP funds on adults. In fact, based on their own projections for this fiscal year, Minnesota, Illinois, New Jersey, Michigan, Rhode Island, and New Mexico will spend more SCHIP money on adults than they do on children. And that is not the purpose of the program.”

Then bill Congress passed would put many already insured kids on this GOVERNMENT RUN healthcare and cover people up to the age of 25, making $85, 000 a year. The President even told you that this is their goal.

“Congress's SCHIP plan is an incremental step toward their goal of government-run health care for every American. Government-run health care would deprive Americans of the choice and competition that comes from the private market. It would cause huge increases in government spending. It would result in rationing, inefficiency, and long waiting lines. It would replace the doctor-patient relationship with dependency on bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. And it is the wrong direction for our country.”

So having vetoed this bad bill, there was much hope that it was done and over with. But they are not giving up on this. Traitor and LWL Leader Nancy Pelosi said this.

“This week, those Republicans in the House who have not already joined this bipartisan compromise will have an opportunity to change their vote and to stand with 10 million children and their families who need and deserve health coverage through SCHIP. Throughout the country, governors, mayors and independent organizations are appealing to Members of Congress to support our compromise bipartisan legislation.

The question is whether some Members will continue to choose partisan obstruction or will they embrace a bipartisan compromise that will provide health insurance to 10 million children. I am hopeful that House Republicans will listen to the American people, join our bipartisan SCHIP coalition, and override the President's veto. Our bipartisan coalition will not rest until those 10 million children have health care.”

This bill has nothing to do with 10 million poor kids. They were even BUSTED using a “Not so poor” 12 year old, who ALREADY CAN be covered as the bill is now, to lie about it. This is a joke folks. She is LYING to you. Flat out lying.

Then you have Screaming Dean coming out and saying this.

“What happened to compassionate conservatism? President Bush and his Republican friends are willing to spend billions of dollars on their failed Iraq strategy, but they have no problem denying our children the health care they need and deserve. That's just plain wrong.

Just as bad, the Republican presidential candidates all support Bush's foolish veto. It is time for Republicans to do the right thing and join Democrats to override the President's veto. But if they choose instead to turn their backs on America's children, electing a Democratic president next year will be the only way to ensure that America's families are represented in the White House.”

More outright lies. More outright push to shame those that are standing on TRUTH to change their vote. I do not think they will, but that doesn’t change the fact they are going to continue to waste time.

Then you have HR 106. A move by the LWL to anger a pivotal US ally in the War in an attempt to cause the loss of the war. They are invested in defeat, as I keep telling you.

Meanwhile, the country is coming close to shutting down. OUR country. Why? Because they are too busy trying to take it over, they are not RUNNING it. According to the AP-Bush raps Democrats on spending bills By BEN FELLER, Associated Press WriterTue Oct 16, 1:26 AM ET

President Bush admonished Congress on Monday for failing to send him a single spending bill yet, and warned lawmakers to trim their plans or face rejection.

"You're fixin' to see what they call a fiscal showdown in Washington," Bush told a friendly audience in this northwest Arkansas community.

"The Congress gets to propose, and if it doesn't meet needs as far as I'm concerned, I get to veto," Bush said. "That's precisely what I intend to do."

The budget year began Oct. 1, and federal agencies are operating on a stopgap bill for now. Congress has not yet agreed on the 12 spending bills that keep the government running.

That’s because they are too busy playing political games in a never ending attempt to “get Bush.”

"Congress needs to be responsible with your money and they need to pass these appropriations bills — one at a time," Bush said, roaming the stage. "And then we can work together to see whether or not they make fiscal sense for the United States."

Bush never vetoed a spending bill when his party ran Congress, but he's dug in for a challenge now. He said the Democrats' plans would raise taxes and prevent the nation from balancing the budget.

Conservative House Republicans appear to have the votes to sustain his promised vetoes.

For a president short on domestic victories, the White House sees fiscal discipline as a winning argument for Bush: a chance to label the opposition in tax-and-spend terms.

Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the Democratic majority leader in the House, said Bush was in no position to offer a lecture on fiscal responsibility. He accused Bush of engaging in a vain attempt to play to his party's conservative base by promising vetoes.

THAT IS ALL the Democrat Leadership is doing. They are playing to the LWL base. They are doing what they are TOLD to do by THEM. {Sigh}

"This is not a fight about spending," Hoyer said. "It's a fight about our priorities as a nation — whether we adequately fund education, medical research, Head Start, clean water programs and health care for our veterans and men and women in uniform."

No this is a fight on Government control on peoples lives. This is about you and the LWL wanting to spend more, tax more, and control everything.

In the budget stalemate, Democrats are pressing to spend about $22 billion more on domestic programs than Bush wants.

And he will veto. More waste of time. Then you have House Republican Whip Roy Blunt’s rebuttal.

“We are now fifteen days into the new fiscal year, and Democrats have failed to send even one spending bill to the president's desk for signature. Passing the core set of bills that fund our nation's government is a primary responsibility of Congress -- but the majority can't even get that right.

More than the ongoing delay on all bills, though, is the Democrats' continued use of the veterans' appropriations bill as a bargaining chip in service of some unintelligible political end. Last spring, Democrats said they would not hold hostage important funding for our troops or for our veterans. But on that, it appears as though they've changed their minds.

So today, I'm again urging the majority to stop playing politics with our veterans. Speaker Pelosi should follow Republican Leader Boehner's lead by appointing conferees to the veterans spending bill as soon as possible. It's time to finish the five appropriations bills that have already passed both chambers -- and squaring away the veterans' bill is where we need to start."

Nope. They would rather tick off Turkey, try to FORCE Universal Healthcare on Americans, and take over the country. If people vote for these idiots again in 08, it will be a sad day in America. It will show just how ignorant we have become as a country.

The Real Reason Behind H Res 106

Hey folks,

I wanted to talk about this yesterday morning before all the spin, but I had to go. I’m here now. Happy Friday to you.

So the House passed Resolution 106. According to AFP- US lawmakers back Armenian 'genocide' bill by Jitendra Joshi

US lawmakers defied strident warnings by President George W. Bush and Turkey by voting Wednesday to label the Ottoman Empire's World War I massacre of Armenians as genocide.

To cheers and applause from emotional Armenians, including elderly wheelchair-bound survivors, the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee voted for the resolution by 27 votes to 21.

Of course all for a four hour show. But there really is a deeper and darker reason behind it.

Bush and top lieutenants earlier were unusually blunt in attacking the non-binding resolution, warning that it would trigger Turkish reprisals and undermine US efforts in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East.

THAT IS the reason.

The vote "may do grave harm to US-Turkish relations and to US interests in Europe and the Middle East," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said.

"Nor will it improve Turkish-Armenian relations or advance reconciliation among Turks and Armenians over the terrible events of 1915," he said.

The measure is likely to be sent on to a vote in the full Democratic-led House, where a majority has already signed on to the resolution. A parallel measure is in the Senate pipeline.

Bryan Ardouny, executive director of the Armenian Assembly of America, lauded "a historic day" after the committee's vote.

But it really is pointless. Other than for their intended purpose.

"It is long past time for the US government to acknowledge and affirm this horrible chapter of history -- the first genocide of the 20th century and a part of history that we must never forget," he said.

The text says the killings of up to 1.5 million Armenians was a "genocide" that should be acknowledged fully in US foreign policy towards Turkey, along with "the consequences of the failure to realize a just resolution."

While the American-Armenian community celebrated, Turkish President Abdullah Gul denounced the vote as unacceptable and accused the House members of sacrificing US interests to "petty games of domestic politics."

ABSOLUTELY!!!

Turkey's ambassador to Washington, Nabi Sensoy, told AFP the vote was "very disappointing" and called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to refrain from bringing it to a full vote.

He has also been called home. Their plan on the surface, seemed to work.

Sensoy, who has personally lobbied more than 100 House members against the resolution, added that "those who said it won't do any harm, we will have to wait and see."

Bush said the resolution would do "great harm" to ties with Turkey, a Muslim-majority member of NATO whose territory is a crucial transit point for US supplies bound for Iraq and Afghanistan.

According to the Armenians, 1.5 million of their kinsmen were killed from 1915 to 1923 under an Ottoman Empire campaign of deportation and murder that later encouraged Nazi leader Adolf Hitler's Holocaust against the Jews.

THAT depends on WHO you listen to. None of that is FACT. Many Historians disagree with that assessment. Many say that all parties had blood on their hands.

Rejecting the genocide label, Turkey argues that 250,000 to 500,000 Armenians and at least as many Turks died in civil strife when Armenians took up arms for independence in eastern Anatolia during the war.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates also denounced the measure before the hearing, after veiled threats from Ankara that US access to a sprawling air base in southern Turkey could be denied.

THAT IS the reason.

But despite the warnings, the resolution's backers warned the issue could not be ignored as they drew parallels to the Holocaust and the present-day bloodshed in the Sudanese region of Darfur.

"We've been told the timing is bad," Democratic House member Gary Ackerman said in an emotional hearing that lasted nearly four hours. "But the timing was bad for the Armenian people in 1915."

That is complete and utter BS. Not even Bunk. That is complete BS The TIMING is exactly RIGHT, for the LWL and Traitors in Congress, to further their agenda of hindering the troops, attempting to block this President from keeping America safe, and causing us to LOSE the War while Bush is still President. It really is that simple.

Republican Representative Christopher Smith said the resolution was not a slight on modern Turkey, adding: "Friends don't let friends commit crimes against humanity."

{Sigh} Idiot. We are talking about like 115 years ago, one sided “facts,” with no real purpose.

Republican lawmaker Dan Burton, however, said passage of the genocide resolution could endanger US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Which is what they are hoping for.

"We're in the middle of two wars. We have troops out there who are at risk. And we're talking about kicking an ally in the teeth. It is crazy."

That’s why I call them the LWL. By the way, the second war is here at home. For this very country.

Gates said that about 70 percent of all Iraq-bound US air cargo, 95 percent of tough new mine-resistant vehicles and one-third of the military's fuel transit through Turkey.

US commanders "believe, clearly, that access to airfields and to the roads and so on in Turkey would be very much put at risk if this resolution passes and the Turks react as strongly as we believe they will," he said.

Told you. They want to hinder the war effort. Which is ALL they have wanted to do since taking control. One of my favorite Politicians, House Republican Whip Roy Blunt (Mo.), said this.

"Though I respect the opinion of the other side, and join them in expressing my deep-felt condolences to the Armenian people, the resolution we voted on today attempts to reduce a complex historical debate into a one-sided declaration of fault. And in the process, it tries to prove through legislative decree that which has eluded generations of objective historians.

Any historical reading of the breakup of the Ottoman Empire reminds us that there were few clean hands. It also reminds us that its Armenian population was forced to endure tremendous suffering and unspeakable harm. But neither I, nor anyone sitting on this panel, is sufficiently expert on this issue to label what happened more than 90 years ago a genocide. This is a debate for international historians, not members of the U.S. Congress.”

YES!!

"Though some will say this resolution is purely symbolic, I believe the consequences that would follow its passage are as real as they are severe. I've visited the Incirlik Air Force Base in southern Turkey, which the U.S. military uses at the permission of the Turkish government. I understand the critically important role that base plays when it comes to supplying our troops in Iraq. And I also understand the tense situation on the Turkish-Iraqi Kurdish border.

Now is not the time to undermine our relationship with Turkey -- especially when doing so may actually undermine the very process of reconciliation between the Turks and Armenians we all have worked so hard to support. I would hope the speaker seriously considers the foreign policy implications of this resolution before bringing it to the House floor."

As a matter of fact, according to a letter written to Speaker Pelosi by the eight living former U.S. secretaries of state, Republicans and Democrats, passage of the Armenian Genocide resolution would harm our foreign policy objectives to promote reconciliation between Turkey and Armenia. The letter also strongly urges the speaker not to bring the resolution to the House floor.

Reuters puts it this way.

Turkey calls the resolution, which was proposed by a lawmaker with many Armenian-Americans in his district, an insult. Ankara rejects the Armenian position, backed by many Western historians, that up to 1.5 million Armenians suffered genocide at the hands of Ottoman Turks during World War One.

Turkey has warned of damage to bilateral ties and military cooperation if Congress passes the measure. President George W. Bush and his secretaries of state and defense warned against the step, as did a number of former U.S. secretaries of state

They also report this.

The bulk of supplies for troops in Iraq pass through Turkey's Incirlik airbase, and Turkey provides thousands of truck drivers and other workers for U.S. operations in Iraq. Supplies also flow from that base to troops in Afghanistan.

So one has to ask, why? Why would the LWL want to do this now? NO YOU DON’T. You do not have to ask why. You KNOW why. It’s clear as crystal. They want to hinder the war effort. This is ALL they have wanted to do. This is ALL they seem TO do. If the “bulk of supplies for troops in Iraq pass through Turkey's Incirlik airbase, and Turkey provides thousands of truck drivers and other workers for U.S. operations in Iraq. Supplies also flow from that base to troops in Afghanistan,” and they get pissed at us, what happens? Get the point?

Again, just like the “poor children” when it comes to Healthcare, or the “support” they show for our soldiers, while delaying funds, while calling them stupid, murders, torturers, Nazis, or YOU, when they talk about moving America forward, they do NOT care. They do not care about what happened to the Armenians, they are USING them as political pawns. It is, just that simple.
