Again, This Administration Ignores REAL Solutions In Lue of Agendas

From The Energy Front 12089

Hey folks,

Last week the White House, AKA Obama and Crew, held a "Job Summit" In attendance was a couple of Private Sector People and quite a few people who are responsible for KILLING Jobs. A impressive list maybe, but seeking real solutions? I think not. It was a show.

If they WERE serious, one Private Industry that would have been there is the Energy Industry. More to the point, Oil and Gas.

We already have talked about the MILLIONS of Jobs that industry already supports. From tech jobs all the way to Mini mart Employees, Truck Drivers, Etc. These are REAL Jobs that exist NOW.

We also have talked about the fact that EVERY study shows that if we Drill Here, Drill Now, the Industry will create around 650,000 NEW jobs, and generate over a TRILLION Dollars in NEW revenue for the Government. I do not know, but if I were Trillions of dollars in dept, and someone came along and said, all I have to do is say OK, sign a piece of paper, and they will give me a TRILLION Dollars in Revenue, I would have to at least consider that a LOGICAL possibility. Don't ya think?

Well, turns out that API DID have a Video Conference Call with the White House prior to, yet they we not invited to, the Jobs Summit. Here is what they had to say about it.

API: Jobs summit is a missed opportunity

WASHINGTON, December 3, 2009 – The Obama administration has missed an opportunity at its jobs summit by not actively engaging the oil and natural gas industry – an industry that supports 9.2 million American jobs and is poised to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs with the right public policies.

During a media teleconference held ahead of the White House jobs summit, API Chairman Larry Nichols and API President and CEO Jack Gerard outlined how the oil and natural industry – which represents 7.5 percent of GDP – is ready, willing and able to create new jobs and provide the energy that America needs to sustain a successful economic recovery.

“Clearly, the White House missed an opportunity to include one of the biggest employers and wealth creators in the nation,” said Nichols, who is chairman and CEO of Devon Energy Corp. “The gas and oil industry supports 9.2 million jobs. We know what it takes to create a job, and we know what it takes to preserve a job.”

These are REAL, long lasting, good paying, Benefit offering JOBS. Not planting a Bush, or painting a building, or laying a road, then going home Jobless again.

Gerard added: “We are not asking for any handouts. We don’t need stimulus dollars or subsidies. We just need access to develop the resources we will need to fuel this economy, and create thousands of new jobs.”

However, and of course, we already know the answer here. It does not fit their agenda. Even in the face of the Scammers getting caught SCAMMING, they ignore that, along with ignoring REAL Solutions, and continue to push this "Green Movement."

“The American people have spoken on this topic clearly,” Gerard added. “In poll after poll, they said they want additional access to the nation’s resources. Congress heard the outcry, and lifted the moratoria on new offshore development. But a de facto moratorium has been put in place by this Interior Department."

They can't say this, but I WILL. Obama and Crew. The Loons in power at this time are pandering to the Kooks, and attempting to take even more control of EVERY person's PRIVATE lives in this country. They LIKE High Energy Costs. Obama SAID SO. They think this will drive us to "Alternatives" of which THEY will completely control. All bases on the SCAM that is Global Warming.

“Access is essential to produce the energy this country needs.”

Gerard noted that the oil and gas industry is already one of the largest creators of green jobs. The industry invested $58.4 billion in carbon mitigation technologies between 2000 and 2008, more than any other private industries or the federal government. Using a measure by the Center for American Progress that 2 million jobs are created for each $100 billion invested, the oil and gas industry has created nearly 1.2 million green jobs.

Those are REAL Jobs. Not made up numbers from MADE UP Districts. REAL JOBS! Yet they were excluded?

In addition to providing access, Gerard and Nichols said policymakers should stop proposing policies that would kill American jobs. Specifically, they said new taxes and ill-conceived climate change proposals are job killers and discourage the development of domestic energy.

AKA Cap and Tax. Which is still very much alive still. Why? Power, Control, and of course, MONEY.

“Our industry does not operate in a vacuum,” Nichols said. “It is integrated with all other industries. Huge tax increases lessen our ability to create jobs. Our industry can’t prosper unless all the other industries, and the consumers, prosper.

“Higher taxes destroy jobs, and impair our economy.”

Like I said, this just shows that Obama and Crew are NOT serious. All this "Jobs Summit" was, was a Political Show. If they WERE serious, they would not have excluded the BIGGEST Jobs creator Industry in the Country, and they would NOT have included those that are promising "Green Jobs" that do not yet exist, in an area that has already been proven to fail on a much smaller scale.

You really care about Americans? You really care about the Poor and Middle Class? You really care about REAL, good paying, CAREERS? Then allow those that can bring this into being, and cut the high Energy Costs down to AFFORDABLE Levels for ALL, to do their thing. Sign the Damn piece of paper, and say "Go For It. Drill Here, Drill Now, hire your 650,000 people, allow all to Pay Less, and give us the additional TRILLION Dollars in revenue to help us get out of all this out of control spending we have been doing."

Like I said, since they DID exclude the Oil and Gas Industry, it shows that they are either ignorant in this area, as with many others, or they are not truly seeking REAL Solutions. It really is, just that simple.
