I'm not about to remind you that I have been warning you about Iran and Little Hitler, pretty much since Little Hitler started to rise in power. No, I will not suggest you search this sight for the countless articles I have posted using his own words and warning you he is just like that original. No, I'm not going to say I told you they would never give up their quest for Nuclear weapons and that Sanctions, talks, and kindness, will not work. I will not say "see, told you so." I will just keep posting things like this.

According to the AP- Group claims Iran speeding up nuke plans

An exiled Iranian opposition group claimed Wednesday that Tehran was speeding up a program to develop nuclear weapons. "The Iran regime entered a new phase in its nuclear project," said Mohammad Mohaddessin of the Paris-based National Council of Resistance of Iran.

The NCRI is the political wing of the People's Mujahedeen of Iran, which advocates the overthrow of government in Tehran. The Mujahedeen has been designated a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union as well as Iran.

But wait. "Pete, this is a terrorist group. Bush said so. So why are you actually listening to them?" Is it true that they are designated a terrorist organization? Yup. Press Release

Designation of National Council of Resistance and National Council of Resistance of Iran under Executive Order 13224

The Secretary of State has amended the designation, under Executive Order 13224 on terrorist financing, of the Mujahedin-e Khalq, known as the MEK, to add its aliases National Council of Resistance (NCR) and National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). That Executive Order blocks the assets of organizations and individuals linked to terrorism. The decision also clarifies that the designation includes the U.S. representative office of NCRI and all its other offices worldwide, and that the designation of the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (“PMOI”) as an alias of the MEK includes the PMOI’s U.S. representative office and all other offices worldwide.

The Secretary of State designated the MEK as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997 under the Immigration and Nationality Act, and again in 2001 pursuant to section 1(b) of Executive Order 13224. That order (as amended) authorizes the Secretary to designate foreign entities and individuals that he determines – in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of Homeland Security – to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, acts of terrorism that threaten the security of U.S. nationals or the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States.

The action to amend the Executive Order 13224 designation of the MEK to include NCR and NCRI is based on information from a variety of sources that those entities functioned as part of the MEK and have supported the MEK's acts of terrorism.

They were designated a terrorist organization when we were "friends" with Iraq and Iran. Then continued to be because of their actions which fall under the terrorism definition. But they would know about this. I'm not saying we need not watch THEM, I'm saying we need to listen to what they have to say. Making sure that Ahmadinejad does NOT acquire nukes is too important NOT to investigate ANY claims to that effect. Back to the AP

Mohaddessin claimed that Tehran has established a command and research center near a Tehran university. And, he said, Iran is developing a nuclear warhead for use on medium-range missiles at a site on the southeast edge of Tehran. Mohaddessin also claimed that the regime obtained aid from North Korea.

It was not possible to independently verify the NCRI claims. Mohaddessin said his group got the information from "hundreds" of reports and sources from within the Iranian regime, whom he did not name. He said some of the sources are within the nuclear project itself.

An official of the International Atomic Energy Agency, who spoke anonymously because he was not authorized to talk to the media, said the agency was aware of the allegations. Mohaddessin said he had provided information to the IAEA on Tuesday.

Iran has steadfastly denied it is working to obtain a nuclear bomb, arguing that its nuclear program is civilian.

A recent U.S. National Intelligence Estimate said Iran halted a nuclear weapons development program in 2003 because of international pressure. But the White House said Iran continues to hide information, remains in violation of two U.N. Security Council resolutions, tests ballistic missiles and is enriching uranium, which can be used to build an atomic bomb.

{Laughing} Yeah, the same group that just months before said the opposite in their report.

Four years ago, the group disclosed information about two hidden nuclear sites in Iran. But much of the information it has presented since to support claims of a secret weapons program has not been publicly verified.

So they were right before? Folks, it really is simple. I have no doubts that Little Hitler is working VERY hard in acquiring Nukes. He wants world domination. He said so. He wants Israel wiped off the map. To the point of giving up half his country to do so. He has said so. Death to America. He has said so. The destruction of the "Great Satan." He has said so. So when I hear people that supposedly has proof, has shown the proof to a group that is suppose to be watching Iran, I want it investigated. If they cannot do it, then we air on the side of caution. We try to verify or debunk the evidence ourselves.

Could this group be lying? Absolutely. But could they be telling the truth? We cannot just dismiss this out of hand because of the source. We NEED to make sure. Thousands, if not millions of lives, could depend on it. It CAN happen here.
