Fun and Games, But Don't Forget Reality

Hey folks,

It's yet another round of Primaries today. I'll be the first to admit, after this past weekend , I'm looking forward to it. However, just these two news stories from CNN this morning, reminds us, that although these elections can be fun to watch, REALITY dictates that we NEED a strong, skilled, leader, with American safety and security in the forefront on their minds at all times.

First is this one. Feds: U.S. defense analyst leaked secrets to China

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A Defense Department weapons system analyst and three Chinese nationals have been arrested and charged in two espionage-related cases, prompting a top Justice Department official Monday to declare Chinese espionage is approaching "Cold War levels."

Then of course, as I have told you, I am watching Russia VERY closely. We have a President in Russia that seems to be missing the Cold War era also. He seems to be making moves to bring back the good ol' days of the Soviet Union. Back on January 20, 2008, pointed this out and I said this.

Putin and other Russian officials have stressed the need to maintain a powerful nuclear deterrent and reserved the right to carry out preventive strikes. But in most of their public remarks on preventive strikes, Russian officials have not specifically mentioned nuclear weapons.

"That would mean simply, they blow us up, we blow them up. Millions, if not BILLIONS of people die. WE need a person in the White House that sees this as a very REAL threat and someone that is not afraid to make the tough decisions when needed. Someone who could not care less about polls, and popular opinion and just do their job. Keep America safe. Think about it."

Basically they warned us that if we mess with Little Hitler in Iran, they would blow us up. Of course we can not forget about Little Hitler, nor can we forget about North Korea, who also has Nuclear Weapons and said THEY would use them also. Then you have this from today. CNN - Russian bomber buzzes U.S. aircraft carrier

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- American fighter jets intercepted two Russian bombers, one of which buzzed a U.S. aircraft carrier in the western Pacific over the weekend, U.S. military officials told CNN Monday.

One of them twice flew about 2,000 feet over the deck of the USS Nimitz Saturday while another flew about 50 miles away, officials said. Two others were at least 100 miles away, the military reported.

U.S. Defense officials said four F/A-18A fighter jets from the Nimitz were in the air.

The Russians and the U.S. carrier did not exchange verbal communications.

Four turboprop Tupolev-95 Bear bombers took off from Ukrainka air base, in Russia's Far East, in the middle of the night, Japanese officials told The Associated Press, adding that one of the jets violated Japanese airspace.

Russian bombers have been making flights over the western Pacific for several months. In September, two U.S. F-15 fighters scrambled to intercept a plane that came within 50 miles of the coastline.

There have been eight incidents off Alaska since July. Among the latest, on September 5, six F-15s from Elmendorf Air Force Base, adjacent to Anchorage, Alaska, intercepted six Russian bombers about 50 miles from the northwest coast of Alaska.

Two similar incidents occurred in August, one near Cape Lisburne, Alaska, and the other near Cold Bay, Alaska, west of the Aleutian Islands.

So while we are having fun watching Huckabee coming back to knock down McCain a bit, and Obama destroying Clinton's guaranteed nomination, we NEED to keep these things in mind. While we get ready to make up the new Congress and House, we NEED to keep these things in mind. We HAVE to remember in reality, we NEED someone with experience, a handle on reality, and a firm understanding on what National Security REALLY means.

Obama? No experience at all. Hillary, would rather join the Dictators of the World and run this Country after some of their models. Huckabee? No real experience in foreign matters and a bit liberal on others. Then you have McCain. The only thing I agree with him on IS the War and National Security. Yet He has shown he is an open boarders guy. By his own actions, he has shown a willingness to reach across the Isle to the most Liberal of the Libs and attempt to help them pass their agendas.

So as far as I'm concerned, as much as I HATE to admit it, the best one for the job right now, from a security stand point, would be McCain. But at the same time, we NEED to make sure that the LWL do not retain power in both the House and the Senate. We need the checks and balances in Government, in this most dangerous times of which we live.
