Black Pastors Are Angry With The Messiah

Not one of the Problems I had with President Obama's Inauguration Speech, but,,

Hey folks,

OK. So it seems that more and more people are starting to stop and think about President Obama's Inauguration Speech. From some that say it will upset China, and other Dictators, to it was too lofty and no resemblance to reality. Some say that he really said nothing, then some say he was just like Reagan. I even hear the same reporter, in the same breath, compare Obama to Reagan and Carter. That is Patently Absurd.

So how does President Obama relate to Reagan? I'll talk about that is a minute. But I will admit, this is something that just flew right by me. I did not even give it much thought. According to AOL News- Obama's Nonbeliever Nod Unsettles Some by MELINDA HENNENBERGER, AOL

(Jan. 23) - Not everyone was happy with President Barack Obama's nod to nonbelievers and non-Christians in his inaugural address. And some of the stiff criticism about Obama’s religious inclusiveness is coming from African-American Christians who maintain that no, all faiths were actually not created equal.

"For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness," the new president said. "We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this earth," he also said. Nothing too controversial, proclaiming that America's strength lies in its diversity.

Which is true.

But between those two statements, the new president got specific: "We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, and nonbelievers."

Which is also true. So what is the problem?

By mentioning, for the first time in an inaugural address, the 16.1 percent of Americans who check "no"’ when asked about religion, Obama turned it into the most controversial line in his speech -- praised by The New York Times editorial board and cited by some Christians as evidence that he is a heretic, and in his well-spoken way, a serious threat.

With that one line, the president "seems to be trying to redefine American culture, which is distinctively Christian," said’ Bishop E.W. Jackson of the Exodus Faith Ministries in Chesapeake, Va. "The overwhelming majority of Americans identify as Christians, and what disturbs me is that he seems to be trying to redefine who we are.’"

He is. Remember folks, to the Left, ALL Christians are Close minded, War Mongering, Racist, Chauvinistic, Homophobes, that "Cling to their guns and Bibles" Christians are nothing more than Hicks that believe in a book written by man and there is nothing you can do to educate them as to what reality is. That there is NO God, and blind faith in some invisible man in the sky is one of the problems that hinders them from seeking "true" assistance in whatever they need. Government.

Earlier this week, Jackson was a guest on the popular conservative Christian radio show 'Janet Parshall's America,' where a succession of callers, many of whom identified themselves as African-American, said they shared the concern, and were perplexed and put off by the president’s shout-out to nonbelievers.

Parshall noted that atheists were celebrating the unexpected mention, and indeed they were: "In his inaugural address … President Barack Obama did what many before him should have done, rightly citing the great diversity of America as part of the nation's great strength, and including 'nonbelievers'’ in that mix,’" said Ed Buckner of American Atheists.

{Laughing} So this reporter had to go out and CONTACT a Group, to get a comment from Non-Believers. I guess it was hard to find one in the general public. Only 16 percent say they do not believe.

"His mother would have been proud,"’ Buckner said, referring to the fact that Obama’s mother was not a church-goer. "And so are we."

I will not attack family members of Politicians. That is an important self imposed rule that I have. But if you care to find out, it is easy to do, who his Mother really is, then look it up. He was raised by his GRANDMOTHER for a reason.

Jackson said he and others have no problem acknowledging that "this country is one in which everybody has the freedom to think what they want.’" Yet Obama crossed the line, in his view, in suggesting that all faiths (and none) were different roads to the same destination: "He made similar remarks in the campaign, and said, 'We are no longer a Christian nation, if we ever were. We are a Jewish, Hindu and non-believing nation.'"

Yeah I remember that one.

Not so, Jackson says: "Obviously, Jewish heritage is very much a part of Christianity; the Jewish Bible is part of our Bible. But Hindu, Muslim, and nonbelievers? I don't think so. We are not a Muslim nation or a nonbelieving nation."’

Nope. We were, like it or not, accept it or not, founded on Judeo / Christian beliefs. We always have been a "Christian Nation." The First Amendment to our Constitution is all about Freedom of Religion. It is there to PROTECT Christians from being prohibited from practicing our faith, and to prevent the Government from establishing a National Religion. All other Faiths are beneficiaries to that.

With all the focus on Obama as the first African-American president, the succession of black callers to Janet Parshall's show was a reminder that the "community"’ is not a monolith, and that many socially conservative black Americans are at odds with Obama's views, particularly on abortion and gay rights. Nor do they all define civil rights in the same way.

The Rev. Cecil Blye, pastor of More Grace Ministries Church in Louisville, Ky., said the president's reference to nonbelievers also set off major alarm bells for him. "It's important to understand the heritage of our country, and it's a Judeo-Christian tradition,"’ period.

So I understand why they are upset. But then this LAST paragraph took me back a bit. Remember back on May 5, 2008, I Posted this? Plan Parenthood Racist?

I was talking about how some Black Preachers were coming right out and saying Planned Parenthood was conducting Genocide. I said this.

So not only is Planned Parenthood using your money to fund Murders, interfere with parental rights, and the family itself, they are using your money to conduct Genocide. Not only are they anti-family, now we have learned they are racists. Interesting. But do you think that anything will come of this? Nope. Why? Because they ARE a Liberal Group, therefore, no hearings, no investigations. It really is a shame.

Yeah, and now we have a Liberal President who just signed an Executive Order saying that YOUR money WILL pay for it. Here is the last sentence in this AOL Article.

But his even bigger beef with the president, he said, is that a disproportionate number of "black kids are dying each day through abortion. President Obama is supportive of abortion, and that's a genocide on black folks. Nobody wants to talk about that as a civil rights issue."

Nope. Just like Black people cannot be Racist, hell, Liberals can't be Racists, in their own mind of course. That is reserved for White Male Christians. Like I said, Non-Believers, that sorry, are nearly all Liberals, and PPH, are LIBERALS, so their views are right, and the only ones that matter.

Be right back.
Peter

Plan Parenthood Racist?

According to some they are.

Hey folks,

Now many of you know that I am Pro-Life. I do see abortion equal to the murdering of an innocent life. I have never agreed with Planned Parenthood. I do not see them as their name implies. They are nothing but a Liberal organization that is in it for the money.

But I got this in the Emails over the Weekend.

Black Leaders Demand Cut to Planned Parenthood Funding

Dear Peter,

Last week in a courageous peaceful protest organized by Students for Life of America, black leaders spoke out in front of a Washington, DC Planned Parenthood abortion clinic about the horrors of abortion and what it has done and is doing to the black community. The protest was sparked by recent releases of audio tapes where Planned Parenthood employees agreed to take donations for the specific purpose of aborting black babies. Read more about this story by going to this webpage.

Well, I did. According to "This Webpage" Foxnews - Pastors Accuse Planned Parenthood for 'Genocide' on Blacks

WASHINGTON — The Planned Parenthood Federation of America has perpetuated a “genocide on the black community,” says a group of African-American pastors who claimed Thursday the birth control and abortion provider has had a racist agenda since its beginnings in 1921.

Well, this got my attention.

Holding a brief vigil and press conference in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Washington, D.C., the group of pastors and activists said they were incensed by the results of recent “undercover” inquiries into several Planned Parenthood clinics across the country.

“Every day … over 1,500 black babies are murdered inside the black woman’s womb,” said Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, of Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND). “This is a race issue.”

The pastors urged Congress to initiate an audit of the organization and have written letters demanding that money for Planned Parenthood be eliminated from federal Title X funding, of which the group got $65 million for fiscal year 2007, according to pro-life Concerned Women of America. In total, Planned Parenthood received $300 million in government contracts and grants in the current fiscal year.

That's a lot of money to commit legal murder. Some of it comes from YOU. It doesn't matter if you are for or against it. You are still helping pay for it.

The national office of Planned Parenthood provided FOX News with a lengthy statement on Thursday in which it said its role in the African-American community is widespread because the need is greater.

READ THIS CAREFULLY!

“The (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) revealed that a shocking number of teenage African-American girls — nearly half — carry a sexually transmitted infection," reads the statement. "This compares to an overall average rate for all teenage girls of at least one in four.

“The largest increases in the teen birthrate were reported for non-Hispanic black teens, whose overall rate rose five percent in 2006. In addition, African-American women are more likely to die of breast cancer than the general population,” it said.

But an investigation, undertaken by students at the University of California at Los Angeles newspaper, The Advocate, revealed troubling responses from Planned Parenthood staffers when asked by an actor, posing as a “donor,” if he could earmark his contribution for abortions for “black babies” only.

In one example, Autumn Kersey, vice president for marketing at Planned Parenthood of Idaho, is asked whether a donation can be specified “to help a minority group … like the black community, for example.”

“Certainly,” Kersey says in a taped response in which she sounds genuinely encouraged by the offer. “If you wanted to designate that your gift be used to help an African-American woman in need, then we would certainly make sure the gift as earmarked for that purpose.”

The caller responds: “Great, because I really faced trouble with affirmative action, and I don’t want my kids to be disadvantaged against black kids. I just had a baby; I want to put it in his name.”

Kersey responds, “Absolutely.”

The "donor" proceeds to proclaim that “the less black kids out there the better,” followed by, “understandable, understandable,” by Kersey, who laughed as if he were joking.

“Excuse my hesitation, this is the first time that I’ve had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I’m excited and want to make sure I don’t leave anything out,” she is recorded saying.

Kersey's and other statements were culled from calls to Planned Parenthood clinics in six states. In each, the staff person answering the call expressed an interest in taking the donations despite the caller’s overtly racist commentary.

That is part of a troubling trend, say critics, who accuse Planned Parenthood of targeting minority neighborhoods. They blame the institution for a disproportionate rate of abortions among black women.

“I think the media, and I think America, and certainly black folks, need to start thinking about race and Planned Parenthood, said Rev. Clenard Childress, who raised the question, not for the first time, about Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, who died over 40 years ago at the age of 86.

Sanger, a pioneering advocate for universal access to birth control for women, was also a proponent of “eugenics,” a philosophy that advocates social intervention, like birth control and abortion, for "improving" the hereditary traits of the human race. According to biographies written about Sanger, who was the sixth child of 11 eleven born to a rigid Catholic family in upstate New York, her support for this practice was focused on the “unfit” and the poor — slum dwellers — as they were called at the time, by making contraceptives more available there.

You are getting this right?

Over the years, comments made by Sanger about reproduction among the poor and minorities have led to her reputation as a racist and a belief that she wanted to “weed” out blacks from society.

She DID!

Planned Parenthood has disputed that caricature and has pointed out her supporters in the black community, including Martin Luther King Jr., and W.E.B DuBois. Nevertheless, Childress and others repeatedly invoked her name as a major force behind a century-long “genocide” on the black community.

According to a report released by the group of Students for Life America on Tuesday, black women are 4.8 times more likely to have an abortion than white women, while the black population in the U.S. is in decline. Black women account for 36 percent of those having abortions in the U.S. today, according to group, while black children make up 17 percent of live births.

“Contrary to the public’s belief that Planned Parenthood is helpful and supportive of family planning and the health of the mother and child, recent news and research show that the roots of its foundation have continued to give birth to continual hatred and disdain for minorities that its founder saw as 'unfit,'” the group says in its report.

In its response, Planned Parenthood emphasized that 97 percent of its services are focused on providing contraceptives, breast and cervical cancer screenings and sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment — not abortions.

I question that number.

“Those services are more important than ever as this country faces a health care crisis — too many women can't afford birth control, too many families don’t have adequate health insurance coverage and too many young people are faced with unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections,” the organization said. “As a safety-net provider, it is Planned Parenthood's mission to provide women, men and teens with affordable access to reproductive health care services and information, regardless of income.”

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood of Idaho apologized in February for the comments made by its staff during the UCLA student investigation.

“A fundraising employee violated the organization’s principles and practices when she appeared to be willing to accept a racially motivated donation,” said the Idaho-based organization told the Idaho Statesman. “We apologize for the manner in which this offensive call was handled. We take full responsibility for the actions of the fundraising staff member who created the impression that racism of any form would be tolerated at Planned Parenthood. We took swift action to ensure that each of our employees understands their responsibility to communicate clearly with donors about the fact that we believe in helping all individuals, regardless of gender, race or sexual orientation, make informed decisions about their reproductive health care.”

Of course they released this statement. Doesn't mean it's true.

That's not enough for Lilly Epps, an activist who joined the pastors in denouncing Planned Parenthood on Thursday. She said she was 26 years old when she got an abortion in the clinic used to stage the protest. She said the day has come to get “the truth” out about Planned Parenthood and what it is doing her community.

“I am a mad black woman,” she said. “Words cannot say how angry I am, how ignorant I was. But I thank God I came to the truth.”
