Little Hitler Going To Iraq

Hey folks,

Special Friday night edition of the OPN. I saw this article yesterday but did not have time to discuss it. I have time NOW. For those of you who have been here for more than a month, you know I am watching Iran and Little Hitler {President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad} very closely. If you have known me more than 5 years, you know I have been watching his rise to power and warning you about it LONG before anyone else.

Just like the original, Little Hitler is rising. Just like the original, he has major support from world leaders and even some in this country. Just like the original, he wants world domination. He wants everyone to believe as he, summit to Islamic rule, which of course will be controlled by him. If not, he wants you dead. Period. I have been telling you that he wants control over Iraq. I have been telling you, sanctions will not work. Talks, will not work. He IS killing out men and women in Iraq by supplying weapons and funds.

Just like the original, there are some here that want to play nice with this evil little idiot. They invite him to come and speak at our schools of “higher education.” They invite him to ground zero. They welcome him with a smile and hug. Yes, he smiles back. He is picturing you being tortured to death. Make no mistake about it folks.

So what is new with our evil little Idiot? He is going to Iraq on Sunday. Why? Well, Reuters gets it. Sort of. Look at the title of the article. Iran president to show off influence on Iraq visit

By Edmund Blair

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad makes a landmark trip to Iraq on Sunday seeking to show that Iran is an influential player in Iraqi politics which the United States can ill afford to isolate or ignore.

The first visit by an Iranian president since the 1979 Islamic revolution aims to boost business and other ties with a country with which Iran fought an eight-year war in the 1980s.

He is taking a page right out of the Lib.s Play Book folks. Come as a friend. Tell people you have what they need. That you know better than they do. You can make it happen. That you care. Then, behind the scenes, you are quietly taken over.

But the significance of the two-day trip, say analysts and diplomats, is that it is happening at all when Washington accuses Tehran of supplying weapons to militias that are killing U.S. troops. Tehran denies such charges.

“The main issue will be the foreign policy success of going to Iraq and coming back ... under the eyes of the Americans, when the Americans are talking about isolating Iran,” said one Western diplomat in Tehran.

That is why Little Hitler is going. To show that he is greater than the “Great Satin.” That would be us.

At home, the Iranian president may welcome a foreign policy success to distract attention from the economy and double-digit inflation before a March parliamentary election that will test his popularity and indicate his chance for re-election in 2009.

Give me a break. Seriously? He is not going anywhere.

Iranian officials have given little advance information about the visit.

{Laughing} Did you really expect they would?

Iraqi officials have urged Washington and Tehran, which have not had diplomatic ties for almost three decades, not to use Iraq as a proxy battleground to fight out their differences, which include a row over Iran's nuclear ambitions.

The United States is pushing for a third round of U.N. sanctions on Iran for refusing to halt nuclear work Washington says is aimed at making atomic bombs. Tehran denies this.

“The influence of Iran in Iraq is very clear,” said Iranian commentator Amir Mohebian. “If the United States wants to use Iran's influence in Iraq to keep security, it is better to have good relations ... not sending the message of sanctions.”

The REALLY sad thing about this statement is? Come on. Think about it. BINGO! There are people in this country that actually believe that.

POWER BALANCE

In a bid to help quell violence, Iran and the United States have held three rounds of rare face-to-face talks. But Iran put off a fourth round because of unspecified technical issues.

Ahmadinejad, a vehement U.S. critic, will want to highlight to Washington Iran's close ties with the Iraqi government, led by Shi'ite Muslims, Iran's dominant religion.

“Ahmadinejad, a vehement U.S. critic?” “Death to America!” yeah, I guess that qualifies as being a US critic.

Although Iran wants an Iraqi government with Shi'ites in charge, it is keen to have good ties with all factions. It does not want Iraq to break up, encouraging any separatists at home and leaving Iraqi Shi'ites running a small territory, analysts say.

“The best situation (for Iran) is a central government which is Shi'ite dominated but weak enough so it has to lean on Iran to maintain the power balance inside Iraq,” the diplomat said.

Did you catch that? READ IT AGAIN!

“The best situation (for Iran) is a central government which is Shi'ite dominated but weak enough so it has to lean on Iran to maintain the power balance inside Iraq,” the diplomat said.

Many Iraqi politicians, mainly Shi'ite and Kurdish, spent years in exile in Iran when Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was in power. The United States accuses Iran and its Revolutionary Guards of funding, training and equipping Iraqi militias.

Iran denies a role in the violence, which it blames on the presence of U.S. troops, and says it wants a stable neighbor. But analysts say it, nevertheless, sees Iraq as a useful lever.

“They don't want (Iraq) to get out of control nor do they want it to be too comfortable for the (U.S.-led) coalition,” said Baqer Moin, a London-based Iranian analyst.

{Sigh}

Some analysts say Iran may have used its influence with militias to help reduce bloodshed late last year as a concession to Washington when Tehran was worried about a U.S. threat to resort to force to deal with the nuclear row.

OK. How do we take that statement?

Some analysts say Iran may have used its influence with militias to help reduce bloodshed late last year as a concession to Washington when Tehran was worried about a U.S. threat to resort to force to deal with the nuclear row.

Well, one, we could take it to mean that, according to these “analysts,” the surge had little to do with the decrease in violence. It was all Iran. This is what the LWL will most likely read into this and run with it along side the conspiracy nuts.

OR? Or we could say, they DID help reduce the violence because of the threat of force. Which would mean of course, the threat of force WORKS.

Then again, we can just tell the truth. Surge worked. We kicked their derrieres right off their game plan, and in most cases, right out of the country.

Iran and Iraq have already begun talks on trade, energy cooperation and a long-running border row. The rapprochement was made possible by the U.S. toppling of Saddam Hussein, who launched the 1980-88 war in part because of the border dispute.

Iraq is weak. It is just crawling right now. The new born democracy is just being weaned. Now is the perfect time for Little Hitler to make his move. We need to watch this VERY closely.

Quest of Support for Proposed Initiative 36

Hey folks,

WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT.

Yes I’m going to violate one of my rules. I have no link for this. But the private message I got about this encouraged me to post it anyway. According to the person that gave me this, this is from Michael Hichborn, who is the Media Relations Director of American Life League.

The ongoing effort to save preborn babies from the culture of death is akin to the epic battle between David and Goliath. While the pro-life movement struggles just to maintain its grassroots support base, the massive and powerful culture of death has access to all of the money, political power and propaganda it could ever want.

At least David had the nerve to show up for the fight. Right now, in Colorado, a 20-year-old law student has taken up David's sling and is prepared to throw the deadly stone while some self-professed pro-life leaders, politicians and clergymen cower because they believe that “now is not the right time.”

In November 2007, Kristi Burton, founder of Colorado for Equal Rights, won an important victory in the state supreme court allowing her to move forward with Proposed Initiative 36. The initiative simply states that “the terms 'person' or 'persons' shall include any human being from the moment of fertilization.” This initiative is the lynchpin for restoring the right to life for all preborn babies, because in the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision, Justice Harry Blackmun wrote, “If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant's case, of course, collapses, for the fetus' right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment.”

Over the past 35 years, nearly 50,000,000 preborn babies have been legally butchered in their own mothers' wombs. The most we have to show for our effort to stop this carnage is an alleged ban on the heinous practice of partially delivering a baby, stabbing him or her in the back of the head and then sucking his or her brains out. Hailed by some as a pro-life victory, the so-called ban on partial-birth abortion isn't truly a ban because the Supreme Court decision itself included instructions permitting doctors to circumvent the ban by injecting the baby with poison before completing the grisly procedure. What is so completely baffling, however, is that organizations like the National Right to Life Committee will pop a champagne cork for a ruling that won't stop a single abortion, but will not support or will even directly oppose the personhood initiative -- which would directly end all abortions - because they claim that “now is not the right time.”

Some may ask, “If now is not the right time to save babies, when is?” But it's more appropriate to ask, “Why not now?” What do pro-life leaders, politicians and clergymen have to lose by acting now instead of waiting for “the right time?” If the initiative fails, do we admit defeat, tell the babies we're sorry we couldn't do better, pack up and go home? How many amendments and legislative measures are voted upon only once before being passed? The answer is less than one percent If the initiative fails, you start over and try again and you keep trying until it works. It is hard, tedious and frustrating work, but when compared with the suffering of innocent preborn children who face dismemberment and death, the decision is an easy one. Only those locked in their lofty ivory towers, comfortable with merely drawing a salary to do “pro-life” work, remain silent or oppose real pro-life measures while they wait for “the right time.”

There is no “right time.” David went into battle against Goliath without military or combat training and without a sword, shield or helmet. He carried only a sling and some rocks. He was a mere boy and the timing was as much against him as his size and strength. But his courage and faith in God led to victory. In truth, the victory over the culture of death will not be ours to claim, just as the timing is not ours to decide. Kristi Burton heard the call from God to defend human life and answered it without question, without waiting for “the right time” and without compromise. Her leadership brings to mind the words of a shepherd who slew a giant:

You come against me with sword and spear and scimitar, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel that you have insulted. Today the LORD shall deliver you into my hand; I will strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will leave your corpse and the corpses of the Philistine army for the birds of the air and the beasts of the field; thus the whole land shall learn that Israel has a God. All this multitude, too, shall learn that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves. For the battle is the LORD'S, and He shall deliver you into our hands. (1 Samuel 17: 45-47) When doing the work of God and calling on people to support the defense of babies, can timing really be an issue? While pro-life leaders, politicians and clergymen stand idly by, waiting for “the right time,” Kristi Burton puts it all in God's hands, stands in the arena, takes careful aim and throws.

Looks Like Bloomberg will Support Obama

Hey folks,

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is NOT running for President. He wrote an op-ed in today's NYT. Someone told me that his decision was based on the fact that Nader got back in to this whole circus. They think that he will be supporting him. I don't think so. I'm willing to bet on Obama. Here is what Mayor Bloomberg said.

NYT - I’m Not Running for President, but ...

By MICHAEL R. BLOOMBERG

WATCHING the 2008 presidential campaign, you sometimes get the feeling that the candidates — smart, all of them — must know better. They must know we can’t fix our economy and create jobs by isolating America from global trade. They must know that we can’t fix our immigration problems with border security alone. They must know that we can’t fix our schools without holding teachers, principals and parents accountable for results. They must know that fighting global warming is not a costless challenge. And they must know that we can’t keep illegal guns out of the hands of criminals unless we crack down on the black market for them.

The vast majority of Americans know that all of this is true, but — politics being what it is — the candidates seem afraid to level with them.

Over the past year, I have been working to raise issues that are important to New Yorkers and all Americans — and to speak plainly about common sense solutions. Some of these solutions have traditionally been seen as Republican, while others have been seen as Democratic. As a businessman, I never believed that either party had all the answers and, as mayor, I have seen just how true that is.

In every city I have visited — from Baltimore to New Orleans to Seattle — the message of an independent approach has resonated strongly, and so has the need for a new urban agenda. More than 65 percent of Americans now live in urban areas — our nation’s economic engines. But you would never know that listening to the presidential candidates. At a time when our national economy is sputtering, to say the least, what are we doing to fuel job growth in our cities, and to revive cities that have never fully recovered from the manufacturing losses of recent decades?

More of the same won’t do, on the economy or any other issue. We need innovative ideas, bold action and courageous leadership. That’s not just empty rhetoric, and the idea that we have the ability to solve our toughest problems isn’t some pie-in-the-sky dream. In New York, working with leaders from both parties and mayors and governors from across the country, we’ve demonstrated that an independent approach really can produce progress on the most critical issues, including the economy, education, the environment, energy, infrastructure and crime.

I believe that an independent approach to these issues is essential to governing our nation — and that an independent can win the presidency. I listened carefully to those who encouraged me to run, but I am not — and will not be — a candidate for president. I have watched this campaign unfold, and I am hopeful that the current campaigns can rise to the challenge by offering truly independent leadership. The most productive role that I can serve is to push them forward, by using the means at my disposal to promote a real and honest debate.

In the weeks and months ahead, I will continue to work to steer the national conversation away from partisanship and toward unity; away from ideology and toward common sense; away from sound bites and toward substance. And while I have always said I am not running for president, the race is too important to sit on the sidelines, and so I have changed my mind in one area. If a candidate takes an independent, nonpartisan approach — and embraces practical solutions that challenge party orthodoxy — I’ll join others in helping that candidate win the White House.

The changes needed in this country are straightforward enough, but there are always partisan reasons to take an easy way out. There are always special interests that will fight against any challenge to the status quo. And there are always those who will worry more about their next election than the health of our country.

These forces that prevent meaningful progress are powerful, and they exist in both parties. I believe that the candidate who recognizes that the party is over — and begins enlisting all of us to clean up the mess — will be the winner this November, and will lead our country to a great and boundless future.

Now OK, he HAS to be talking about Nader. Right? After all, he keeps saying "independent." That he doesn't like either party. But what I just read, as you did, I saw this. He kept talking about what? Change. He did not come out and say it. But that is what he kept saying.

Then he said this. "The changes needed in this country are straightforward enough, but there are always partisan reasons to take an easy way out. There are always special interests that will fight against any challenge to the status quo. And there are always those who will worry more about their next election than the health of our country."

That sounds a lot like he is talking about Clinton to me. Obama is new. He is talking about change. Never says how, but Change none the less. A lot of people in his own party do not like him. The steadfast die hard LWL members. Some, like Kennedy, are distancing themselves from Clinton, but some will never leave the Clintons at all.

Then he said this. "I believe that the candidate who recognizes that the party is over — and begins enlisting all of us to clean up the mess — will be the winner this November, and will lead our country to a great and boundless future."

A future of change and promise. Or at least the promise of such. No folks, I truly believe that Bloomberg will not say who he supports until AFTER the next two Primaries. If Hillary loses, well, she is pretty much out. But if she wins, then Obama will need more money to continue, and the Convention will then mean EVERYTHING. It will decide who the Democrat Candidate is.

Now why would I not believe he will back Nader? Simple. He is a businessman. He knows a sure thing when he sees it. He knows a waste of money when he sees it. Nader cannot win. As much as people are, and they are, fed up with politics as usual, there are not enough people that are willing to throw their vote away on Nader. I truly do not believe Bloomberg will invest in a no win scenario. he is too smart for that. We will just have to wait and see what happens in Texas and Ohio.

More Evidence Global Warming Is Bunk

Hey folks,

The truth is coming through. I am getting Email after Email about the bunk of Global warming. I want to highlight a couple here. I told you before, I could do this whole, I keep wanting to call it a show, Blog, with nothing but YOUR Emails. This week, the theme in the Emails seems to be Global Warming.

First up, The sender, who lives here is Florida said this. "Sheesh, just when I was beginning to think that winters would really be nice!"

From the National Post- Forget global warming: Welcome to the new Ice Age

Lorne Gunter, National Post
Published: Monday, February 25, 2008

Snow cover over North America and much of Siberia, Mongolia and China is greater than at any time since 1966.

The U.S. National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) reported that many American cities and towns suffered record cold temperatures in January and early February. According to the NCDC, the average temperature in January "was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average."

China is surviving its most brutal winter in a century. Temperatures in the normally balmy south were so low for so long that some middle-sized cities went days and even weeks without electricity because once power lines had toppled it was too cold or too icy to repair them.

There have been so many snow and ice storms in Ontario and Quebec in the past two months that the real estate market has felt the pinch as home buyers have stayed home rather than venturing out looking for new houses.

In just the first two weeks of February, Toronto received 70 cm of snow, smashing the record of 66.6 cm for the entire month set back in the pre-SUV, pre-Kyoto, pre-carbon footprint days of 1950.

And remember the Arctic Sea ice? The ice we were told so hysterically last fall had melted to its "lowest levels on record?" Never mind that those records only date back as far as 1972 and that there is anthropological and geological evidence of much greater melts in the past.

The ice is back.

Gilles Langis, a senior forecaster with the Canadian Ice Service in Ottawa, says the Arctic winter has been so severe the ice has not only recovered, it is actually 10 to 20 cm thicker in many places than at this time last year.

OK, so one winter does not a climate make. It would be premature to claim an Ice Age is looming just because we have had one of our most brutal winters in decades.

But if environmentalists and environment reporters can run around shrieking about the manmade destruction of the natural order every time a robin shows up on Georgian Bay two weeks early, then it is at least fair game to use this winter's weather stories to wonder whether the alarmist are being a tad premature.

And it's not just anecdotal evidence that is piling up against the climate-change dogma.

According to Robert Toggweiler of the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at Princeton University and Joellen Russell, assistant professor of biogeochemical dynamics at the University of Arizona -- two prominent climate modellers -- the computer models that show polar ice-melt cooling the oceans, stopping the circulation of warm equatorial water to northern latitudes and triggering another Ice Age (a la the movie The Day After Tomorrow) are all wrong.

"We missed what was right in front of our eyes," says Prof. Russell. It's not ice melt but rather wind circulation that drives ocean currents northward from the tropics. Climate models until now have not properly accounted for the wind's effects on ocean circulation, so researchers have compensated by over-emphasizing the role of manmade warming on polar ice melt.

But when Profs. Toggweiler and Russell rejigged their model to include the 40-year cycle of winds away from the equator (then back towards it again), the role of ocean currents bringing warm southern waters to the north was obvious in the current Arctic warming.

Last month, Oleg Sorokhtin, a fellow of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, shrugged off manmade climate change as "a drop in the bucket." Showing that solar activity has entered an inactive phase, Prof. Sorokhtin advised people to "stock up on fur coats."

He is not alone. Kenneth Tapping of our own National Research Council, who oversees a giant radio telescope focused on the sun, is convinced we are in for a long period of severely cold weather if sunspot activity does not pick up soon.

The last time the sun was this inactive, Earth suffered the Little Ice Age that lasted about five centuries and ended in 1850. Crops failed through killer frosts and drought. Famine, plague and war were widespread. Harbours froze, so did rivers, and trade ceased.

It's way too early to claim the same is about to happen again, but then it's way too early for the hysteria of the global warmers, too.

Then I got sent this picture of Kilimanjaro with this comment. "Opps looks like the snow is back.
Don't tell Al."

Then this article. The Sender did not include a note, but the article speaks for itself. It's from Newsmax.com - Global Warming? New Data Shows Ice Is Back

Are the world's ice caps melting because of climate change, or are the reports just a lot of scare mongering by the advocates of the global warming theory?

Scare mongering appears to be the case, according to reports from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that reveal that almost all the allegedly “lost” ice has come back. A NOAA report shows that ice levels which had shrunk from 5 million square miles in January 2007 to just 1.5 million square miles in October, are almost back to their original levels.

Moreover, a Feb. 18 report in the London Daily Express showed that there is nearly a third more ice in Antarctica than usual, challenging the global warming crusaders and buttressing arguments of skeptics who deny that the world is undergoing global warming.

The Daily express recalls the photograph of polar bears clinging on to a melting iceberg which has been widely hailed as proof of the need to fight climate change and has been used by former Vice President Al Gore during his "Inconvenient Truth" lectures about mankind’s alleged impact on the global climate.

Gore fails to mention that the photograph was taken in the month of August when melting is normal. Or that the polar bear population has soared in recent years.

As winter roars in across the Northern Hemisphere, Mother Nature seems to have joined the ranks of the skeptics.

As the Express notes, scientists are saying the northern Hemisphere has endured its coldest winter in decades, adding that snow cover across the area is at its greatest since 1966. The newspaper cites the one exception — Western Europe, which had, until the weekend when temperatures plunged to as low as -10 C in some places, been basking in unseasonably warm weather.

Around the world, vast areas have been buried under some of the heaviest snowfalls in decades. Central and southern China, the United States, and Canada were hit hard by snowstorms. In China, snowfall was so heavy that over 100,000 houses collapsed under the weight of snow.

Jerusalem, Damascus, Amman, and northern Saudi Arabia report the heaviest falls in years and below-zero temperatures. In Afghanistan, snow and freezing weather killed 120 people. Even Baghdad had a snowstorm, the first in the memory of most residents.

AFP news reports icy temperatures have just swept through south China, stranding 180,000 people and leading to widespread power cuts just as the area was recovering from the worst weather in 50 years, the government said Monday. The latest cold snap has taken a severe toll in usually temperate Yunnan province, which has been struck by heavy snowfalls since Thursday, a government official from the provincial disaster relief office told AFP.

Twelve people have died there, state Xinhua news agency reported, and four remained missing as of Saturday.

An ongoing record-long spell of cold weather in Vietnam's northern region, which started on Jan. 14, has killed nearly 60,000 cattle, mainly bull and buffalo calves, local press reported Monday. By Feb. 17, the spell had killed a total of 59,962 cattle in the region, including 7,349 in the Ha Giang province, 6,400 in Lao Cai, and 5,571 in Bac Can province, said Hoang Kim Giao, director of the Animal Husbandry Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, according to the Pioneer newspaper.

In Britain the temperatures plunged to -10 C in central England, according to the Express, which reports that experts say that February could end up as one of the coldest in Britain in the past 10 years with the freezing night-time conditions expected to stay around a frigid -8 C until at least the middle of the week. And the BBC reports that a bus company's efforts to cut global warming emissions have led to services being disrupted by cold weather.

Meanwhile Athens News reports that a raging snow storm that blanketed most of Greece over the weekend and continued into the early morning hours on Monday, plunging the country into sub-zero temperatures. The agency reported that public transport buses were at a standstill on Monday in the wider Athens area, while ships remained in ports, public services remained closed, and schools and courthouses in the more severely-stricken prefectures were also closed.

Scores of villages, mainly on the island of Crete, and in the prefectures of Evia, Argolida, Arcadia, Lakonia, Viotia, and the Cyclades islands were snowed in.

More than 100 villages were snowed-in on the island of Crete and temperatures in Athens dropped to -6 C before dawn, while the coldest temperatures were recorded in Kozani, Grevena, Kastoria and Florina, where they plunged to -12 C.

If global warming gets any worse we'll all freeze to death.

Yeah, tell the people in Wisconsin who are getting record snow fall. More snow than ANYTIME in history. Tell them we are killing the planet due to global warming. Someone I was debating on this issue said to be this. "Our weather is so unpredictable now they can't make an accurate forecast from one day to the next."

Yet this person thinks that there is no problem believing that they can tell us what will happen in 10, 20, or a Hundred years from now? I keep telling you folks, this is nothing but natural cycles. Nothing more, nothing less. It gets warm, it gets cool. It rains one season a lot, others, not so much. We have bad storm seasons, and some with NOTHING. Follow the money.

Why would some Scientist go alone with this? What possible motives do they have? Well, one is money. They get a lot of money to "Study the effects" and come up with "solutions" for the scam. Some will do this work to get money to work on other things they want to work on. Then you have some that have political agendas, just like everyone else. Remember Albert Einstein said this.

"This crippling of individuals I consider the worst evil of capitalism... I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals. In such an economy, the means of production are owned by society itself and are utilized in a planned fashion. A planned economy, which adjusts production to the needs of the community, would distribute the work to be done among all those able to work and would guarantee a livelihood to every man, woman, and child."

Prof. P. Stott, who wrote this - Sentries Of Our Future, said this.

"‘Global warming’ has become the grand political narrative of the age, replacing Marxism as a dominant force for controlling liberty and human choices."

Henry Louis "H. L." Mencken, an American journalist, essayist, magazine editor, satirist, acerbic critic of American life and culture, and a student of American English. Known as the "Sage of Baltimore", he is regarded as one of the most influential American writers and prose stylists of the first half of the 20th century, said this.

"The desire to save humanity is always a false front for the urge to rule it."

As you can clearly see, when examining the whole Global Warming scam, it is all about money, control and power over your lives. Socialism is VEREY connected and interwoven in the Global Warming movement. It has become a religion to some. One that, like most religions, close their minds to reality. There is NO Global Warming.

Signs Of Insanity, The LWL

Hey folks,

I HAVE to highlight this article by the AP. You know what they say, one of the definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different outcome. Is there any doubt about it now? People are also wondering, STILL, why I call the current Democrat Leadership, and those that follow them, the LWL.

I keep telling you, they are actively engaged in treason. They want us to lose the war, for their political gain. I have told you, good news out of Iraq, is BAD news for them. Pelosi keeps making idiotic statements like the surge is not working. We cannot win. Seriously. She really is.

It got quiet there for a bit. All the good news silenced the LWL for a little while. But make no mistake about it, like I said, even after like 50 failed attempts to cut off funding and leave our troops out there unable to defend themselves, they are not giving up. Get this. AP - Anti-war Democrats ponder next step

By ANNE FLAHERTY, Associated Press Writer
35 minutes ago

Democrats facing rejection of a proposal to cut off money for the Iraq war are deliberating their next step in trying to rebuild anti-war momentum.

Complete and utter IDIOTS. Traitors at that.

In recent months, violence in Iraq has declined and the Baghdad government has made small steps toward political reconciliation, including plans to hold provincial elections on Oct. 1. While Democratic voters remain largely against the war, the security improvement has helped to cool anxiety among Republicans and stave off legislation demanding that troops start coming home.

The Senate was expected to vote Tuesday on a proposal to order troop withdrawals to begin within 120 days. With that legislation's failure almost assured and lacking a veto-proof majority in Congress even if such a proposal passed, Democrats are talking about whether to shift their strategy. Instead of repeating losing votes on legislation tying money to troop withdrawals, many party members want to focus more on the policy issues surrounding Iraq, including the preparedness of U.S. troops and reining in private contractors.

It has failed EVERY TIME. By the way? Have they actually DONE anything FOR this country? REALITY 101 President = Commander and Chief. Congress = DOMESTIC Issues. They need to go.

Top Army officials are expected to testify Tuesday before the Senate on the health of the ground force.

Another desire by many Democrats is to tie the ailing economy to the war. A coalition of anti-war groups said this week that it plans to spend more than $20 million this year to convince voters that the Republican party's support for the war is bad for their wallets.

So they will WASTE $20 million trying to convert you. {Laughing}

Still, other Democrats, including Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., say they want to pursue more votes to end funding for the war. Feingold sponsored Tuesday's measure.

Sen. Russ Feingold, one of McCains friends. I wonder how HE feels about that. You know, with his temper, it will be kind of fun to see how he will react to some of these idiots if he becomes President.

According to aides, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who co-sponsored Feingold's proposal, agreed to stage Tuesday's vote in exchange for Feingold's earlier support of a defense policy bill. The measure is expected to fall short of the 60 votes needed to pass.

OF COURSE IT WILL.

The effort comes as anti-war sentiments among voters has taken a back seat to the economy.

Anti-war activists say they believe Americans are increasingly aware of the economic burden that the Iraq war has caused. This election season, they say, voters will blame Republicans for supporting the war at a time of rising health care and college costs and in the midst of a mortgage foreclosure crisis.

{Laughing, banging hand on desk, wiping tear from eye} The war comes at an inconvenient time? To much going on. {Laughing} WE ARE WINNING. It is going to be a hard sell. Oh, they will be able to get the Sheeple out there, the card carrying members of the LWL who are too stupid to think for themselves, all riled up, but the average America does not want to surrender when we are WINNING. Morons.

"Leaders who do not recognize this connection will be at a disadvantage come election day," said Jeff Blum, director of USAction, which plans to spend $10 million this year on organizing a grass-roots effort against Republican candidates.

We are now up to $30 million dollars on a wasted effort.

Blum said the group intends to dispatch hundreds of thousands of volunteers to go door to door to convince voters that the GOP's war effort is hurting the economy.

Pretty please, come knock on my door. Pretty please with sugar on top?

MoveOn.org, another anti-war group, says it will spend at least $5 million targeting congressional seats, including Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, John Sununu of New Hampshire, Norm Coleman of Minnesota and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

$35 million. MORN.Org. Go figure.

Brad Woodhouse, head of Americans United for Change, estimates his group will spend about $8.5 million, focusing primarily on political advertisements.

$43.5 million.

Jon Soltz, an Army reservist who heads of VoteVets.org, said his group will be running an ad in the Washington, D.C., area that will feature a female Iraq veteran urging Sen. John McCain, the expected GOP nominee for president, to abandon his commitment to Iraq.

"The Iraq war is basically a retreat policy against al-Qaida and (terrorist leader Osama) bin Laden," Soltz said.

This guy is clueless. He is not even worth spending any time talking about. He is a complete idiot that has been bought and paid for because he is an Army Reservist, like that is somehow making him more credible. Problem is, he is clueless.

So a wasted $43.5 million dollars. These are those that say they care about you. The little people. Right? They care about minorities. They care about those in need. $43.5 million dollars could be better spent. Don't ya think? Time in Congress? How about FISA? How about domestic issues? Hello? Anyone there? BDS in full effect.

Planned UNParenthood is Anti-Family

Talk about dangerous and destructive! A Johnson County (Kansas) grand jury is investigating Planned “Un”Parenthood to determine whether the abortion provider complies with Kansas laws on parental notification and the 24-hour waiting period.

The grand jury panel has asked for medical records of sixteen women who had abortions in 2003. Planned Parenthood is refusing to turn them over, claiming patient privacy right violations. However, the grand jury wants the following patient information: date of birth, date of last menstruation, dates and times of medical procedures, and notifications and/or consultations with patients. The grand jury is not asking for any patient-identifying information like name, social security number, address, phone numbers or next of kin - they can be eliminated before the information is sent on to them. So much for patient privacy violations.

Additionally (according to the Kansas City Star), charges allege that Planned Parenthood performed illegal later-term abortions in 2003 and falsified, forged, and failed to maintain related records.

The ACLU and Planned Parenthood are also pushing San Diego’s school board to end long-standing policies which require parental notification when students are pregnant and contemplating abortion, and parental consent before students leave campus, including trips to abortion clinics. The ACLU and Planned Parenthood are claiming that this violates the privacy rights of students and that the mentality is “antiquated and dangerous.”

I’ve had conversations with some of these ACLU and Planned Parenthood types over the years, and it’s absolutely scary how paranoid they are about parental involvement in their children’s lives. They are thoroughly convinced, it would seem, that parents universally impregnate and/or beat their children, and that only they are the grand protectors of children. If that’s so, I wonder why Planned Parenthood gets in trouble for not reporting molestations when adult males bring in minor females for abortions? Gets mighty confusing to me.

Happily, the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) sent a letter to the school board, urging them to stand by their parent and family-friendly policies and offered free legal assistance if those policies are challenged in court. PJI President, Brad Dacus stated in the Standard Newswire that “Contrary to ACLU and Planned Parenthood propaganda, parental responsibility is not antiquated or illegal. It is indispensable to a decent society. We urge the San Diego School Board not to cave in to pressure from radicals who ignore common sense and distort constitutional principles.”

PJI’s affiliate attorney commented: “Parents are morally and legally responsible for their minor children, so it is just common sense that they should be aware of their children’s whereabouts, particularly if they are being subjected to life-altering medical procedures, such as abortions.”

IWA for Sunday 022408

Hey folks,

We wrap up a VERY busy Sunday with the IWA. This weeks winner? Well, someone that should have known better. I cannot really say that I would not be tempted to do it also, but he REALLY should have known better. I could not figure out what to do with this story. When I first read it. It could fit here, awarding the man involved the IWA, or it could have been in the You Can't Make This Stuff Up category, because this type of thing really does not happen every day. But in my mind, I kept thinking, what would I do. The answer is clear. I WOULD have known better.

According to, well, everyone is reporting this now, but for this article, according to Reuters - Bank error in your favor.

A New York man who discovered that millions of dollars had mysteriously appeared in his bank account, and withdrew more than $2 million, has been arrested on charges of grand larceny, prosecutors said on Wednesday.

Duh.

Benjamin Lovell, 48, pleaded innocent on Tuesday to charges that he withdrew money from a Commerce Bank account that had been opened by someone with the same name, prosecutors said.

The account belonged to Woodlawn Trustees Inc, a Delaware property management company, and was listed under the name of its finance director, who is also named Benjamin Lovell, court papers said.

Lovell had just $800 in his own Commerce Bank account when he went to make a deposit, but a teller, mistaking the Woodlawn account for Lovell's personal account, told him that his account contained more than $5 million, prosecutors said.

Lovell made multiple withdrawals even though he knew that the money was not his, prosecutors said. He used the money to buy jewelry for his girlfriend and to make several investments, they said.

Idiot.

Commerce Bank and Woodlawn Trustees did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Legal Aid attorney representing Lovell could not be reached for comment either.

Lovell is being held on $3 million bail. He faces up to 25 years behind bars if convicted, prosecutors said.

Well, he spent two, I guess he could still cover that. {Smile}

Now another article I saw on this said that Mr. Lovell told the bank the money was not his and they told him it was and that he could withdraw it. Now folks, I understand that 5 million dollars is a lot of money. I get that. But YOU KNOW if you all of a sudden wake up one morning, without hitting the lotto, rich Uncle dying, or a lawsuit you never filed in your favor, you do not have 5 million dollars.

I do not care if the bank made the mistake. I do not care if an ignorant teller told me I could withdraw it. I KNOW it is not my money. I also know, that 5 million dollars will be missed by the one of which it DOES belong to and they will most likely want their money. I guarantee you, I will not be taking it.

Congratulations Mr. Lovell. For allowing your greed to over shadow your judgement, you ARE the Idiot of the Week. I hope it was worth it.

The Deadly Flu Season

Hey folks,

It it flu season. In like every flu season, people are getting it. Some, die from it. But this year seems to be especially more dangerous. No one seems to know why. I saw on a local news report, that EVERY State, except Florida {Thankfully} seems to be having a epidemic. The problem is, this year, there seems to be more of a strain of the flu that is not effected by the "Flu Shot."

According to WPTV Channel 5, the NBC affiliate here in South Florida, U.S. flu season getting worse.

ATLANTA (AP) - Are you feeling surrounded by family, friends and co-workers spewing flu virus? It's not paranoia.

Federal health officials say the flu season is getting worse. And they say it's partly because the vaccine that's out there doesn't protect against more than half of this year's viruses.

The flu shot is a good match for only about 40 percent of this year's flu viruses, officials at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday.

That's worse than last week's report when the CDC said the vaccine was protective against roughly half the circulating strains. In good years, the vaccine can fend off 70 to 90 percent.

So what happened in one week?

Infections from an unexpected strain have been booming, and now are the main agent behind most of the nation's lab-confirmed flu cases, said Dr. Joe Bresee, the CDC's chief of influenza epidemiology.

It's too soon to know whether this will prove to be a bad flu season overall, but it's fair to say a lot of people are suffering at the moment. "Every area of the country is experiencing lots of flu right now," Bresee said.

Except Florida, for some reason. Maybe someone should look into that?

This week, 44 states reported widespread flu activity, up from 31 last week. The number children who have died from the flu has risen to 10 since the flu season's official Sept. 30 start.

Those numbers aren't considered alarming. Early February is the time of year when flu cases tend to peak. The 10 pediatric deaths, though tragic, are about the same number as was reported at this time in the last two flu seasons, Bresee said.

The biggest surprise has been how poorly the vaccine has performed.

But wait a second. According to Fox News - Two Children in New York State Die From Influenza, Is an Outbreak Headed to Your City?

All of the drug-resistant viruses are found within the H1N1 strain, one of the three main types of influenza affecting humans this year. Of those strains, 6.7 percent have been found to be resistant to Tamiflu (oseltamivir), an antiviral medication that has been shown to shorten the duration of the flu when taken within two days of infection.

Similar percentages of the drug-resistant strain were also found in Europe and Canada. “Historically, resistance to Tamiflu has been quite rare, less than one percent,” Bresee said. “Now that it’s higher, it’s not a cause for alarm, but we’ve taken notice of it.”

Do we have an outbreak? Do you really have to ask?

Numbers of deaths are hard to pin down for flu season, but the CDC estimates it claims 36,000 lives in the U.S. annually. The last three months of 2007 saw death rates due to flu and pneumonia comparable to the past three years. However, just one week in January 2008 saw an increase to 954 reported deaths from those two infections, which is above the threshold for a major outbreak.

According to Newsday, there may be some good news. FDA changes all 3 strains in 2008-09 flu vaccine

Federal health officials have completed their selection of the three viral strains to be included in next season's flu vaccine, marking the first time in 20 years that they're calling for a complete reformulation of the inoculation.

Vaccine strains are chosen nearly a year in advance because of the long preparation time needed for manufacturing, a laborious process that involves growing the doses in millions of chicken eggs.

Three deactivated viral strains are included in the annual recipe to provide protection against the dominant strains in circulation. Usually, only one or two of those strains are changed each year, but global flu trackers have found that influenza has been particularly widespread this season in the Northern and Southern hemispheres, driven by strains that emerged after the current vaccine was formulated.

This is one of the reason I never get it. The Flu Shot that is.

"We've enhanced surveillance here and around the world," Dr. Joseph Bresee, chief of the prevention branch in the influenza division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told Newsday last week.

CDC epidemiologists and their counterparts from the World Health Organization track global flu prevalence and circulating strains to pinpoint the most likely strains that will cause infection during the next flu season. In this country, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration selects among the offerings - as it did yesterday - the strains to be included in next season's vaccine.

Yesterday, the FDA announced the selection of A-Brisbane/59, A-Brisbane/10 and B-Florida for the 2008-09 flu season. Viruses are named based on their sites of origin.

The three distinct strains that make up the annual vaccine represent two forms of type A influenza, dubbed H1N1 and H3N2, and one form of type B.

This season's flu vaccine has been under a spotlight - and on a hot seat - because its recipe does not include two key circulating strains, A-Brisbane/10 and B-Florida. The mismatch between the strains in circulation and those in the vaccine are being blamed for the substantial rise in flu cases nationwide. Infection levels have remained high since January.

But yet, no major outbreak here in Florida. Folks, it's bad out there. Take the standard precautions we do every year. If someone is sick, do not be around them. If YOU are sick, do not go to work. Do NOT send your kids to school if they are. Wash your hands more often when touching just about anything. When you go to the store, MAKE SURE you wash your hands after handling the carts or baskets. Better yet, wear gloves.

I'm not a Doctor, nor do I even play one on line, but I know there are some preventive drugs out there that some swear by. I'm not naming them for obvious legal reasons, by they are out there. Remember, it is FAR more easy to prevent, than it is to treat. Be careful, be well, and I'll be right back.

Obama Mania and Clinton Desperation Grow

Hey folks,

As time ticks by, 11 straight victories for Obama, Clinton seems to be getting more and more desperate. First was the plagiarizing charge, now THIS? AOL News - 'Shame on You,' Clinton Scolds Obama

Illinois Senator Calls Outrage Over Campaign Mailers a Political Ploy
By BETH FOUHY, AP
Posted: 2008-02-23 23:19:39

CINCINNATI (Feb. 23) - Hillary Rodham Clinton angrily accused her Democratic rival Saturday of deliberately misrepresenting her positions on NAFTA and health care in mass mailings to voters, adding, "Shame on you, Barack Obama."

Can you feel it?

Clutching two of Obama campaign mailings in her hand for emphasis, the former first lady said, "enough with the speeches and the big rallies and then using tactics that are right out of Karl Rove's playbook."

When in doubt, throw Bush into the mix. {Laughing}

Obama defended the mailings as accurate and rejected Clinton's complaint as a political ploy. He said that despite her current criticism of NAFTA, she supported the trade agreement when it passed during her husband's administration.

"You can't be for something and take credit for an administration ... and then when you run for president say that you didn't really mean what you said way back then. It doesn't work like that," he said to cheers at a rally in Akron.

Yeah, but she does this all the time. She sticks her finger in the air. Whatever is the way the wind of opinion is going, is where she goes.

The long distance clash erupted as the two Democrats campaigned separately across Ohio, one of two big states with primaries on March 4.

Obama has won 11 straight primaries and caucuses, and some of Clinton's supporters have said she must win both Ohio and Texas next week to keep her hopes alive of winning the party nomination. Recent polls show Ohio is close, and Texas closer.

Clinton's frustration was evident as she criticized Obama in unusually strong terms - a few days after ending a nationally televised debate by saying she was "honored to be here with" him in a historic race between a black man and a woman.

She said by his actions, Obama was giving "aid and comfort to the very special interests and their allies in the Republican Party who are against doing what we want to do for America
."

Unlike Clinton right?

"Meet me in Ohio," she said. "Let's have a debate about your tactics and your behavior in this campaign." The two are scheduled to debate next Tuesday in Cleveland.

In her criticism of Obama, she asked, "Since when do Democrats attack one another on universal health care?"

What? She does it all the time. But she can not stand it when someone does it to her.

Obama had a ready reply to that. "Well, when she started to say I was against universal health care ... which she does every single day," he said.

Since late last year, Clinton has consistently attacked Obama's health care plan, saying it would leave 15 million Americans uninsured.

Clinton's advisers have repeatedly criticized the Obama campaign's mailings, both of which went out in the last several days.

One says her plan for universal coverage would "force" everyone to purchase insurance even if they can't afford it. Her plan requires everyone to be covered, but it offers tax credits and other subsidies to make insurance more affordable.

FORCED Healthcare that you may or may not want. YOU do not have a choice.

Obama's plan does not include the so-called "individual mandate" for adults, and he has argued that people cannot be required to buy coverage if they can't afford it. He has said his first priority is bringing down costs.

The Illinois senator's plan does include a mandate requiring parents to buy health insurance to cover children.

Which is true.

The second mailing, on the North American Free Trade Agreement, quotes a 2006 Newsday article suggesting Clinton believed the agreement had been a "boon" to the economy. NAFTA and other trade agreements are extremely unpopular in Ohio, which has suffered an exodus of blue-collar jobs to other countries in part due to such agreements.

It's a particularly sensitive matter for Clinton, whose husband championed and pushed for passage of the agreement as president. She is counting on the support of white, working class voters in the state.

"I am fighting to change NAFTA," she insisted. "Neither of us were in the Senate when NAFTA passed. Neither voted one way or the other."

But wait? If your 35 years of experience INCLUDES the years you were First Lady, then you must be given shared credit for it. Your Husband, the PRESIDENT was all for it, so that must mean you were also. That must mean YOU helped pass it in it's current form. Right? We MUST give you credit for it. Right?

Clinton said Newsday had corrected the record about her views on the agreement. Indeed, the paper published a blog item earlier this month saying Obama's use of the word "boon" was unfair.

"Obama's use of the citation in this way does strike us as misleading," the paper said. "The quote marks make it look as if Hillary said "boon," not us. It's an example of the kind of slim reeds campaigns use to try to win an office."

Someone got to Newsday. But this is just word play. So THEY, the paper, used the word. Who cares who used the word "Boon?"

Earlier, Newsday published an item saying the word "boon" had been the paper's "characterization of how we best understood her position on NAFTA, based on a review of past stories and her public statements."

You see. Based on HER own words and actions, the paper SAW her in full agreement. Which by the way, she never REALLY disagrees with. Just doesn't like the word "Boon."

As evidence of their concern about the issue, the Clinton campaign released two new ads in Ohio, including one featuring John Glenn - a former astronaut and U.S. senator from Ohio for 24 years - saying Clinton would fix trade agreements like NAFTA.

As evidence? So she did a commercial. Oh, I forgot, like one of those weight loss commercials say, "You can not say it on TV, if it's not true." Right? {Laughing}

Clinton said she felt good about her prospects in Ohio and Texas but refused to say whether she needed to win both states to stay in the race.

"Let's let the people of Ohio vote. Let's actually have an election and then we can look at the results," she said.

OK.

The Phenom continues to grow in momentum. He just seems to be unstoppable. Hillary keeps losing, seems to be desperate. It seems like she cannot understand, the more people learn WHO and WHAT she is, the less people want her and why.

Another Surprise By Iran?

Hey folks,

Just read this, then tell me where the surprise is. According to Reuters - Iran fails to answer weapons questions: IAEA

By Mark Heinrich
Fri Feb 22, 7:25 PM ET

The U.N. nuclear watchdog said on Friday it confronted Iran for the first time with Western intelligence reports showing work linked to making atomic bombs and that Tehran had failed to provide satisfactory answers.

WAIT! There IS a surprise. Did the IAEA not just say they stopped any kind of quest for Nuclear Weapons? Now they are confronting them with information from 2005? That IS a surprise.

The United States passed the intelligence, which came mainly from a laptop spirited out of Iran, to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 2005 but out of fear for its spies only authorized the IAEA to present it last month, diplomats said.

The IAEA said Iran had dismissed the intelligence as "baseless" or "fabricated," but had provided increased cooperation on other issues in the past few months.

Iran's increased transparency amounted to a doubled-edged sword as it reaffirmed Tehran was forging ahead with uranium enrichment in defiance of U.N. Security Council demands to stop all proliferation-sensitive nuclear activity.
OK. Ready? 1,2,3, SANTIONS WILL NOT WORK. Good. You did good.

The IAEA findings, which also said Iran had failed to clear up all outstanding questions by an agreed February deadline, may spur the Security Council to adopt a third round of sanctions against the Islamic Republic as early as next week.

{Sigh}

The United States, which has accused Iran of having a secret program to build nuclear weapons, said the IAEA's report had produced a good reason to impose new sanctions.

Senior diplomats from Britain, France, Germany, the United States, China and Russia would meet in Washington on Monday to discuss the next steps over Iran, Western officials said.

Monday is going to be a busy day.

Iran, which says its nuclear program is only for power generation to meet the growing demands of its economy, hailed the IAEA's comments as a victory because it said the watchdog had found Tehran was pursuing peaceful activities.

In unusually strong wording, the IAEA said in a report Iran had not so far explained documentation pointing to undeclared efforts to "weaponise" nuclear materials by linking uranium processing with explosives and designing of a missile warhead.

Isn't that what the NCRI has been telling us?

"Mohaddessin claimed that Tehran has established a command and research center near a Tehran university. And, he said, Iran is developing a nuclear warhead for use on medium-range missiles at a site on the southeast edge of Tehran. Mohaddessin also claimed that the regime obtained aid from North Korea."

Maybe someone IS listening. Back to Reuters.

Publishing details of the intelligence, the IAEA described tests on a 400-metre (1,300 ft) firing shaft seen as "relevant" to atomic arms research and a schematic layout of a missile cone "quite likely to be able to accommodate a nuclear device."

"SERIOUS CONCERN"

"The (intelligence) studies are a matter of serious concern and critical to an assessment of a possible military dimension to Iran's nuclear program," said the report issued by IAEA head Mohamed ElBaradei.

"The agency will not be in a position to make progress towards providing credible assurances about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran before reaching some clarity on the nature of the alleged studies."

One crucial requirement was for Iran to implement the IAEA's Additional Protocol, which allows snap inspections that could verify that Tehran is not engaged in secret bomb work beyond declared civilian atomic energy sites.

Without that there could be "no confidence in the exclusively peaceful nature of the program," said the IAEA.

"I think that this (IAEA) report demonstrates that whatever the Iranians may be doing to try to clean up some elements of the past, it is inadequate," U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told reporters in Washington.

"So I think this is just good reason to move forward with the Security Council resolution (for more sanctions)," she said.

I keep telling you folks. Listen to what they SAY, and BELIEVE THEM.

But Iran, the world's fourth largest crude oil producer, said the IAEA report had reaffirmed its program was for peaceful purposes.

"I congratulate the Iranian nation for this success and victory which was a result of their resistance on (the country's) nuclear rights," chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili said. "From our viewpoint this issue has ended."

Iran says it aims to refine uranium only to the low level needed for power plant fuel so it can export more oil wealth.

The IAEA said Iran had given its officials a long-sought look at work to launch a more durable centrifuge meant to overcome technical glitches hindering uranium enrichment.

It said Iran was testing "IR-2" centrifuges, an upgrade of a design obtained from Pakistani-led nuclear smugglers, in the pilot wing of its Natanz nuclear complex. IR-2s can enrich two or three times faster than P-1s.

Which means they could get Nuclear Warheads two or three times faster as well.

Rest assured folks, even if the Mainstream Media will NOT, you can be confident that I AM watching, and I will report it to you.

The House Bought Off By Trial Lawyers

Hey folks,

Just last Saturday, February 16, 2008, I posted this. House Walks Out On America. I said this.

"We KNOW why. They were paid off by the trial lawyers. MILLIONS of dollars to Democrats and some of their causes. They sold out the safety of America for the almighty dollar. THEY have blood on their hands. They again showed us that they are nothing more than traitors that do NOT care about this country. THEY FAILED AGAIN to do their job and help keep America safe."

Yesterday, President Bush said this, during his Radio address.

"The way ahead is clear. The Senate has already passed a good bill by an overwhelming bipartisan majority. This bill has strong bipartisan support in the House of Representatives, and would pass if given an up or down vote. But House leaders are blocking this legislation, and the reason can be summed up in three words: class action lawsuits.

The Senate bill would prevent plaintiffs' attorneys from suing companies believed to have helped defend America after the 9/11 attacks. More than 40 of these lawsuits have been filed, seeking hundreds of billions of dollars in damages from these companies. It is unfair and unjust to threaten these companies with financial ruin only because they are believed to have done the right thing and helped their country."

But the LWL, and the Leaders of the Democrat Party have been bought off by MILLIONS of dollars to them and Democratic causes. THIS is WHY. The President when on to say this.

"But the highest cost of all is to our national security. Without protection from lawsuits, private companies will be increasingly unwilling to take the risk of helping us with vital intelligence activities. After the Congress failed to act last week, one telecommunications company executive was asked by the Wall Street Journal how his company would respond to a request for help. He answered that because of the threat of lawsuits, quote, "I'm not doing it ...I'm not going to do something voluntarily." In other words, the House's refusal to act is undermining our ability to get cooperation from private companies. And that undermines our efforts to protect us from terrorist attack."

Get this from Reuters - U.S. says missed intelligence after spy act expired

By Randall Mikkelsen
Fri Feb 22, 6:49 PM ET

U.S. spy agencies have missed intelligence in the days since terrorism surveillance legislation expired, the Bush administration said on Friday, but Democrats accused it of fear mongering and blamed it for any gaps.

U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey and Director of National Intelligence Michael McConnell fired the latest shot in the administration's battle with Congress to obtain new legislation to wiretap terrorism suspects.

The officials told Congress telecommunications firms have been reluctant to cooperate with new wiretaps since six-month temporary legislation expired last weekend.

"We have lost intelligence information this past week as a direct result of the uncertainty created by Congress' failure to act," the two officials told House of Representatives Intelligence Committee Chairman Silvestre Reyes in a letter.

But it really is not the House. It's Pelosi, and the LWL Leadership of the House. There is enough bipartisan support for it. But if there is no vote, then it can not be passed.

Now on Thursday this past week, the House convened a "staff meeting" to "work on a bipartisan agreement on the FISA Bill. House Republican Whip Roy Blunt issued the following statement.

"Democrats are saying today's meeting was called to craft bipartisan legislation that would update our antiquated foreign intelligence laws. This meeting was nothing more than an attempt to give the majority political cover for irresponsibly allowing the Protect America Act to expire. We already have a bi-partisan bill that was supported by more than two-thirds of the Senate and enjoys the support of a majority of Members of the House. The only remaining issue is how long House Democrat Leadership will delay before scheduling this bi-partisan bill for a vote.

House Democrats have had ample time. Now, I'm asking them to listen to a respected member of their own party and pass the bill Senator Jay Rockefeller and my good friend Kit Bond wrote -- and 66 of their Senate colleagues supported."

I really do love this guy. I mean it. He stands his ground and NEVER backs down from these idiots. Maybe HE should run for President. So of course, we then have to have Traitor and LWL Leader Pelosi rebut with this.

"The House and Senate met again today to produce a strong new FISA bill and once again, Republicans and the White House refused to come to the negotiating table. Despite the Republicans' apparent insistence on turning this into a partisan issue, Congressional Democrats will continue to reach out in a bipartisan way to finalize a strong FISA law that protects our national security and our civil liberties."

They refused to come to the negotiation table because there is NOTHING to negotiate. The bill PASSED the Senate. There is overwhelming support for it in the House. There is nothing to negotiate. Unlike you, they are not willing to be bought off, and play political games with the safety and security of America.

"Meanwhile, in a letter to the Congress today, the Bush Administration repeated its claim that the expiration of the Protect America Act (PAA) has resulted in intelligence gaps. If the expiration of the PAA has lessened the willingness of telecommunications companies to comply with surveillance requests to protect our national security, the President and Congressional Republicans have only themselves to blame for refusing to support the PAA's extension."

No YOU are to blame. YOU, Ms. Pelosi, are playing idiotic games that a kindergartener could clearly see. YOU Ms. Pelosi is the one to blame for this. YOU, Ms. Pelosi are the one putting America in danger.

"The existing FISA statute provides a remedy: convert the surveillance requests to compulsory court orders. The Director of National Intelligence has admitted that the backlog at the FISA court that prompted the passage of the PAA last summer no longer exists. FISA court orders can therefore be issued even more quickly than they were in the past." {Sigh} Same old tired and sad lines.

"Facts About FISA:

1. Under FISA, the Attorney General can approve surveillance in minutes. Surveillance can begin immediately and approval of the FISA Court can be obtained within three days."

So?

"2. Unlike last summer, there is no backlog of cases to slow down getting surveillance approvals from the FISA court. Michael McConnell, Director of National Intelligence, has stated: "We're caught up to all of it now." [2/7/08]"

WHY?? Maybe because we got real about all this garbage, and started doing things the way we should have. Of course the courts got caught up. Go BACK to the courts, there will be back logs again. Idiot. Not to mention the old FISA is dealing with outdated ways of communication. I guess you forgot that?

"3. The FISA Court can approve surveillance orders quickly, and according to public reports, it has approved nearly every application for a warrant from the Department of Justice over the past 30 years."

They do not have to. That is the point. But none of this really matters to you. Does it Ms. Pelosi?

"4. Under FISA, telecommunications companies can be compelled by the FISA court to help with surveillance and have legal protection for compliance."

Not in all cases. Which is what you DO have a problem with. You do not WANT a blanket protection because you WANT to keep the money they gave you, and your causes. You WANT to keep more money that I'm sure you were promised coming in.

"Facts About the Legislative Process:

1. The House passed the RESTORE Act in November 2007. Because of Senate Republican delay tactics, the Senate did not pass its bill until February 12."

Bunk.

"2. Congressional Republicans blocked a second extension of the Protect America Act on February 13th after President Bush said he would veto it and reiterated his intention to veto any FISA bill that does not include immunity for telecommunications companies."

Because they know why you are opposing the protection of the telecommunications companies. They know WHY you let the law expire. Like it or not, YOU do not run this country, nor does anyone really care what you think. We KNOW you are corrupt. We KNOW you are a traitor. We KNOW you are a worthless, powerless, joke of a Speaker. You are creating more problems in this country than you are working for us. Why do you think you have the worse approval ratings in the history of the House?

"3. Now that both the House and Senate passed legislation, Committee leaders from both chambers are attempting to working on a bipartisan compromise that would pass both the House and Senate and get signed into law. Unfortunately, House and Senate Republicans and the Bush Administration have refused to come to the negotiating table."

As well as the Democrats who just want the Senate version passed. This is nothing but a whole lot of bunk. Pelosi is lying through her teeth, and doing nothing to protect this country. This has been and continues to be the biggest "do nothing" Congress in history. Now they are doing nothing to protect this country.

It really is this simple. You want more of the same. Keep these people in power for the next two years. You want it worse? Elect Hillary as President WITH these Idiots in power. She is getting desperate enough to do anything. They are desperate to do anything to stay in power. Many out there think this is a lock for them anyway. No real challenges for their seats. But I'm telling you this. You better get ready for all of this nonsense to intensify at a blinding rate if the wrong person gets the White House.

Stand with the President, Senators, and those that know better, and demand that Pelosi and the House pass the Senate bill and let it get signed into law to keep us safe.
