From The Emails - Preview,

Hey folks,

Happy Monday morning to you. HERE is a perfect example of what to expect every Friday in the “From The Emails” Segment.

Peter

You better read this and make a decision as to whether you will be a good little boy and follow daddy government's orders or start doing more than just blogging to change the way you can raise Josh.

Vote, give what cash you can to the person who best represents your views, run for office yourself, etc etc

You are reasonably young, smart and articulate, so what will you do?

Thank you very much for the kind words and encouragement. I am looking into ways of getting more involved. I DO try to get the word out, here and elsewhere. That would be the TRUTH, Logic, and Sanity. We all have our rolls to play. Running for Office? I learned a long time ago, NEVER say never. {Smile}

Here is the article

GOVERNMENT ULTIMATUM: IMMUNIZE OR JAIL By Chuck Muth

It's bad enough the government has mandated school attendance. If your kid isn't in school, you can be arrested for truancy. But now a government in Maryland is using mandatory schooling (Side Note: Schooling is not the same as education, as a vast number of kids in government schools aren't getting an education) as a weapon to force parents into mandatory inoculations.

As I’ve said many times, He that controls the youth, controls the future.

More than 2,000 students in the Prince George's school district haven't provided the district with “proof” that they've received the mandatory immunization shots the district requires in order for students to attend classes. So the school district sent the parents of these kids a court notice giving them a “choice.”

No, silly. Not a choice as to what school the parents want their kids to attend. What are you smoking?

The choice was stark and outrageous, as described by Associated Press reporter Stephen Manning: “Get their children vaccinated on the spot or risk up to 10 days in jail and fines.” Parents “who fail to show up” for their court hearing, notes Manning, “could be prosecuted under truancy laws and face possible jail time and fines of $50 per day.”

Personally, I've made sure all my kids get the immunization shots our doctor has recommended, but there are legitimate concerns among many parents that the immunization shots themselves could pose a danger to their children. It should be up to the parents, not the government "village," to make this decision for their kids.

And if they control the WHOLE Health Care system? It will not just be kids. YOU will be forced to do WHATEVER they WANT you to do medically, or you could end up facing jail again.

Ah, but there's the rub.

A parent can decide not to have their child immunized; however, that means the child can't attend a government school. And if the child doesn't attend school, the parent can be arrested - not for not immunizing their child, but for the child not attending a school which the government prohibits them from attending.

In government, that makes perfect sense. And school bureaucrats aren't afraid to use the police powers of government to enforce their will against parents who don't blindly do as the government instructs.

Are you getting this out there?

As George Washington famously said, “Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master.” The question is whether or not the American public today will wake up to this reality before all our freedoms go up in flames.

I have my doubts.

As do I. we only have ONE chance to make sure that this type of thing does not become reality of the land. One chance to stop the Socialism Train. That ONE chance is 2008. Get ready, get educated, when the time comes, go VOTE.

I do not understand the angst about immunization. As a child I had to be immunized against diseases and my children also had to be immunized against diseases.
Personally I think that this is a good practice.

As for going to school if the government did not mandate it there would still be people out there who would never let their children get a "formal" education but would rather put birth them and leave them to the mercy of the nation to provide for them the rest of their lives.

I can understand the other side of the equation where we do not want the government to impose all these rules but sometimes it is a necessary evil.

I have one child who was home schooled by my ex-wife and when she later tried to go to college she did not have the skills in order to stay there so now she is destined to live a life where she gets only minimum wage jobs.

I have another daughter who has a degree in computer science and she went to regular school the whole time but my wife had tried to get me to home school her back when we were together but I refused.

Many of the diseases that seem to be popping up are coming across the border so in this I have to disagree on immunization shots.

I tend to agree on further government control but there are cases where it is necessary just like traffic laws.

The basic question is do we want government to protect us from ourselves?
Not sure that's what the founding fathers had in mind.

Me too.

I agree

Not really. There are some today, that do not care if their kids go to school. Some chose to HOME school them. Which is what I'm thinking STRONGLY about with all the indoctrination going on, instead of ACTUALLY teaching them what they need.

There will always be dead beat parents, more concerned with what THEY want to do then they do their kids. But I have a problem when Government wants to step in and start ARRESTING parents because they do not force their kids to BE indoctrinated.

I can understand the other side of the equation where we do not want the government to impose all these rules but sometimes it is a necessary evil.

In some cases, Yes.

There is ALWAYS a way. I have heard of some creative ways to get where you want to go. Some harder than others. I have also known MANY with a college Education making minimum wage, because they cannot get a job in their field. Life is what it is.

I have another daughter who has a degree in computer science and she went to regular school the whole time but my wife had tried to get me to home school her back when we were together but I refused.

Secure the boarder. But let's say, a parent is fearful of their kids having the shots. Or, {Which I do not agree with} due to their religion, they chose not to. They should go to jail?

I tend to agree on further government control but there are cases where it is necessary just like traffic laws.

Your right. Murder, Larceny, Rape, ETC. I believe in law. I never said I didn't. But this invades peoples PRIVATE lives. This is Big Brother. To make laws governing how you raise your kids, are not moral or just.

Hey Doug,

I'm pretty sure that if the Founding Fathers were to see us today, they would be EXTREMELY dis-appointed. I'm sure they would hardly recognize what we have done to the Constitution.
