Young Adults Understand MORE Than Their Partisan Parents

Turn off the News, put down the NYTs, open your eyes, look around.

Hey folks,

This coming November, most will go to the Polls and Vote Republican, because they associate themselves as Republicans. They will Vote Democrat, because they are Democrats. If their Mom and Dad were, then they are too. The sad truth is, they will Vote the way they always have, Whomever has a D or and R after their Name on the Ballot, that is who they will Vote for, even if they never heard the Name before.

They will Vote for this or that Policy Issue, based on what Mommy, Daddy, or what the NEWS says about it. Is it a Republican Bill or a Democrat Bill? Even if they never heard of an Initiative, they will see, "This was by Sen, or Rep, soandso- R or -D." They will hear how this initiative will Ban this or that, or allow this or that, even if it doesn't, and they will Vote how they are told to.

Some will go to the Polls believing whatever they just saw on the News or read in the paper. "The Economy is coming back. Jobs are improving. Housing is stabilizing. All is well." Even though, their Neighbor has not worked in Two Years. Even though they are under water with their Mortgage. Even though they have less money and are paying MORE at the Pump. They will Vote for Obama, because that is what they are told to do.

But then you have the people that actually DO understand what is going on. They HAVE looked around and saw Reality. They are going to go to the Polls and Vote a certain way, because they are LIVING Reality. The latest Polls tells us that the Majority of Americans are NOT happy with this Reality.

Now I understand what I'm about to talk about is Local. It's Missouri. But the numbers are AMAZING and not far off from the National Polls. It is a glimmer of Hope. It is the Reality that we ALL face. It is a sign the Young Adults may very well understand MORE than their Partisan Parents.

Here we go. There is this Group in Missouri called Generation Opportunity. They meet with, and listen to, young Business Leaders and Small Business Owners, and discuss current Issues. They have Ranked Gas Prices, Poor Economy, and Unemployment as top Issues. Look at these numbers.

•Just 31% of 18 – 29 year-olds approve of President Obama's handling of youth unemployment.
•69% say the current leadership in Washington fails to reflect the interests of the younger generation.
•69% prefer reducing federal spending over raising taxes on individuals in order to balance the federal budget.
•59% of overall Millennials agree the economy grows best when individuals are allowed to create businesses without government interference.
•70% would increase production of domestic energy sources like oil, natural gas, and coal.

Delayed Dreams from a Poor Economy and the Lack of Opportunity:

•77% of young people ages 18-29 either have or will delay a major life change or purchase due to economic factors: •44% delay buying a home;
•28% delay saving for retirement;
•27% delay paying off student loans or other debt;
•27% delay going back to school/getting more education or training;
•26% delay changing jobs/cities;
•23% delay starting a family;
•18% delay getting married.
This is the Future of our Country folks. Young people, of whom Obama had in his Pocket in 08, now are saying, uh, not this time. Not because they are Racist. Not because they are Stupid. Because they are LIVING Reality. These are people 18-29 years old, that say ENOUGH is ENOUGH. They are not buying the News. They are LIVING through Obama and his Policies. They are not liking it.

WASHINGTON, March 15, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Generation Opportunity's grassroots organizers were actively engaged in the "Show Me State" this week. The grassroots team met with and listened to a wide range of young adults including those working in the professions and the trades, entrepreneurs, community college and university students, young parents, and others who provided their personal stories on the issues that matter to them. Higher gas prices, the lack of economic opportunity, and historically high youth unemployment were discussed and identified as the top issues impacting young adults across all backgrounds and professions throughout Missouri.

"Surging gas prices, the lack of jobs, and the poor economy were significant issues of concern among young people in Missouri. Young adults who own small businesses, those who work in the professions and in the trades, young mothers, students, and those seeking jobs all raised these issues consistently. Missouri's young people have real, practical concerns about how they can make ends meet every week because of higher gas prices and even larger concerns about how their lives are being delayed by the poor economy," said Evan Flores, Director of Field Operations for Generation Opportunity. "Young people know the status quo is preventing many of them from finding full-time, meaningful work - we are dedicated to using our skills to mobilize our networks and communities to put America back on track."
Evan Flores is our winner of the Display of Logic Award this Week, and deserves it for not only stating the TRUTH, but actually attempting to do something about it.

Look folks, this IS Reality. Turn off the News, put down the NYTs, open your eyes, look around. Tell me what you see. LIVE Reality. Do not deny it because someone tells you it's not what it IS. I was just talking to someone yesterday who said she is Voting for Obama in November. I said WHY? She said, I'm a Democrat. I asked what about the Economy, Housing, Unemployment? her answer? She has a Job. Even though she is under water on her house, she is still making Payment on time, so no worries there. She believes what she sees on the Local News. We are coming back. Obama just needs more time to fix what Bush messed up. {Sigh}Here is someone that couldn't care less about Politics. She will go and Vote Obama because she is a Democrat. She doesn't take the time to look around and actually THINK about anything. As long as she has a Job, Home, and is told things are getting better, it's all good. She doesn't like $4.00 Gas, but there is nothing Obama can do about that. She was told so.

Truth is, it's NOT all good. Truth is, we can NOT afford another Four Years of this. Liberal Policies have put us where we are now. Liberal Policies will NOT get us out of it. They will DESTROY our already hurting Economy.

Keep up the good work Evan Flores, and all the folks at Generation Opportunity. You are not alone..

Senate Fails to Expenite Keystone

"Why don't they get it?"

They DO get it. They just do not care. That's the point.

Hey folks,

So why does it seem that those in the Senate don't get it? Why do they not see Gas going up again, heading to $5.00 if not $6.00 a gallon? Why do they not see this will DESTROY the Economy? Why do they not see this for what it is? A Loss of Jobs, Increased Costs on EVERYTHING, and a decrease in National Security in these very dangerous times we live in? They DO. They just do not care.

Look, the sad little Truth is this. They are all MILLIONAIRES. Then again, they do not even PAY for their Gas. They think this will not effect them. What about the rest of us? They do not care. Obama needs the LWL {Left Wing Looneys} The Far Left Wing Kook Fringe. The Environmental Wackos. The "Chicken Little" GWBS Crowd. He NEEDS their Votes.

He feels that he already lost the Votes of those who are complaining about High Gas Prices. Those not, he can lie to them and they will simply believe whatever he says. In his mind, and the mind of Reid and the Kooks in the Senate, if they OK the Pipeline, they will loss the LWL Vote and guarantee Obama's defeat in November.

Here is the Link: The Washington Post - Senate rejects expediting Keystone pipeline By Juliet Eilperin and Ed O’Keefe, Published: March 8

In the wake of lobbying by President Obama and Senate Democratic leaders, the Senate Thursday defeated legislation to speed up construction of a U-S.-Canadian oil pipeline.

The White House victory came after the president started personally calling Democratic senators Wednesday night. The vote underscored the extent to which rising gas prices and energy supply have become a central political issue.
I want you to read that again. "The White House Victory." $5.00 to $6.00 a gallon gas. HUNDREDS of thousands of Jobs LOST in just this ONE industry. DECREASED National Security. And Higher Prices for all in this hurting Economy. "The White House Victory."

We have talked about this many times folks. We could be, right now, using nearly 100 percent of our OWN Energy, produced here and from our friends in the North. We would need not worry about the Middle East. We would CREATE HUNDREDS of Thousands of NEW, long lasting, well paying Jobs. We WOULD lower costs on EVERYTHING. We would INCREASE REVENUE to nearly a TRILLION Dollar. Obama CALLED Democrats and said "you better not Vote for this!" "The White House Victory."

You can read the whole thing if you want. But that is all you REALLY need to know. "The White House Victory." The only way we are going to reduce our dependency on Foreign Sources for our Energy. The only way we will reduce Price. The ONLY way to get this Country back to heading the right direction, is NEW LEADERSHIP in the White House and Senate. PERIOD. We can not afford another 4 more years of this. You NEED to go out and VOTE in November. That is the ONLY way we can save this Country.

The California Example

As I have said before, look at Liberal run States vs Conservative run States for the truth.

Hey folks,

Why is it so important to put a fiscal Conservative in the White House? One of the main reasons is simple. Debt. Look around you folks. Obama and Liberal Policies by Congress have spent more money in just over a Thousand Days than this entire Country has spent from it's founding. That would be well over 200 years for those who need a little extra help in understanding. What do we have for all that spending?

Record high Unemployment, Foreclosures, Credit fails, Bankruptcies, and higher costs for all things. Along with all this, we have record high and near uncontrollable Debt. So what is the answer? Focus on the problem. It is not a Revenue Problem. It is a Spending Problem.

Lets look at California shall we? According to Capital Alert - Controller: State to run out of cash in March without action

California will run out of cash by early March if the state does not take swift action to find $3.3 billion through payment delays and borrowing, according to a letter state Controller John Chiang sent to state lawmakers today.

The announcement is surprising since lawmakers previously believed the state had enough cash to last through the fiscal year that ends in June.

But Chiang said additional cash management solutions are needed because state tax revenues are $2.6 billion less than what Gov. Jerry Brown and state lawmakers assumed in their optimistic budget last year. Meanwhile, Chiang said, the state is spending $2.6 billion more than state leaders planned on.
OK stop right there. Read that again. "But Chiang said additional cash management solutions are needed because state tax revenues are $2.6 billion less than what Gov. Jerry Brown and state lawmakers assumed in their optimistic budget last year." What does that mean?

I own Company ABC. Last year my Company made a $40 Million Dollar Profit. About $10 Million a Quarter. Along comes a Government Lib. They say, "That's too much money for you to make. That's not fair. We have people in this State that sit home and watch Opr,,,uh,,whatever is on TV during the day now, and we the State, need to take care of them. So we are going to take every penny you make over $5 Million a Quarter. That's only fair. Look at all the good you will be doing. We need your money to fund our Social Programs and keep our Party getting Votes to stay in power."

Well? I decide, enough is enough. So I start creating ways, most Legal, some maybe not, to make sure that my Company now only shows a, say, $6 Million Dollar Profit A Quarter. Or a Yearly Profit of $24 Million. Now even with all those new Rules and Taxes you came up with, you are only going to get $4 Million from me instead of the $20 Million you THOUGHT you were going to get.

Now you go on National Television, or in the Press, and say. "We have a Shortage of $16 Million." You see, you really don't. You never had it to begin with. Yet you went out and SPENT it already. That is NOT a Revenue Problem. It is a SPENDING Problem. You spent what you never had to begin with. Meanwhile, you know what you were getting back when I and my Company were making $40? Yup. About $8 to $10 Million a year. Now you make $4 Million.

Then again, if Taxes and oppressive Regulation continue, I will have to cut Jobs. The number one cost in any Company. I will have to Lay off People. They will no longer have a Job, meaning they will no longer be able to make their Mortgage, Car Payments, inject NEW money into the Economy, and will most likely end up on the Government Dole costing YOU even more money that you do not have. If you continue to attack me and make it unaffordable to do business here? I will go elsewhere, where I can make the Profit, pay less wages, and not worry about YOU at all. Now you will not even have the $4 Million. AND, you will have even more people on the Dole.

"State tax revenues are $2.6 billion less than what Gov. Jerry Brown and state lawmakers assumed" Just because you SAY we are going to Tax this much and make this much, doesn't mean that it will happen. If you DO, then great, go spend it. But spending it BEFORE you get it is just flat out Stupidity. Would you do this in your owe Private life? You assume you are getting, well, lets say a Bonus from Work. Every year you get say $1000.00 Bucks. So the time is coming, and you assume you will get it again this year. You make all these plans in anticipation of this. Do you go out and spend it BEOFRE you get it? What if the Company can't or won't do it this year? Is it THEIR fault if you go out and spend it? Or is it yours?

As I have said before, look at Liberal run States vs Conservative run States for the truth. Look at California, New York, Illinois. Then Look at Wisconsin, Alaska, ETC. Look at the major change in New Jersey. Liberalism FAILS every time it is tried. We have tried it for the past 5 to 6 years. Time for real Hope for a REAL Change. Again, this is not Party politics, or an Anti-Obama rant. Look around you. Can we AFFORD another 4 more years of THIS?

The REAL Reason That The OWS Is Being Broken Up

The reason that the Obama Run State Run MMD Won't tell you.

Hey folks,

Happy Thursday to ya. Hope you are well. I'm not. Again. Tis the Season. Feeling it again in my Chest. I don't get Colds anymore. When I get sick, I get SICK. Bronchitis and Pneumonia is all but expected. So Yesterday was spent pumping up my system with Vit C and Antioxidants, Sleep, and Prayers that it will pass. Today will be much the same. But here I am.

So some of you are wondering what happened. Why is there this movement all across America to break up the OWS Crowd? The Occupy Crowd. Why are the Governors and Police, who once supported them, now moving in to shut them down? The answer is simple folks. One that some of you will not like. The reason that the Obama Run State Run MMD Won't tell you. The reason is they are turning on Obama.

Remember back at the beginning. When Occupy Wall Street first started in NYC, the Media came out of the wood work. "This is the Liberal Tea Party Movement." This is REAL America. The Tea Party? "Nah, they are pointless. They are nothing. They are not a real Movement. But the OWS? They are the real deal." There were like 100 or 200 people at the time. But they were the real deal. This is what we were told.

Then the "Movement" grew. A small group here and there started popping up. Then we learned that MOST of there Idiots were being PAID $300 to $600 bucks a week to be there. Then we learn that some of the Marching orders came from the White House itself. Then we learned that they were being BUSSED in by Unions. Oh, there were real Protesters showing up. There really were. Problem is, they had NO IDEA why they were there. I remember when some News Guy asked one of the Protesters "Why are you here?" The Protester turned to his friend and said "Why are we here?" His friend said, and I kid you not, "Weed and Chicks Man!"

Then, in a vain attempt to appear legit, they come out with a list of demands. ALL of which were Patently Absurd. Forgive all debt, ETC. Tea Party Message? WE are in debt. STOP SPENDING. Get Government OUT of people's private lives. Follow the Constitution. OWS? Forgive all Debt, Obamacare, Outlaw Credit Reporting Agencies, Open Borders, Unions, ETC. EVERYTHING on the Liberal Agenda. Some of this might as well been written by the White House.

So what happened? More and more Americans started to see them as nothing more than a Joke. The Polling started going down like a rock falling in the water. Then the final straw? Some of the REAL Protesters, those not being paid, started to tell the TRUTH. They started to Blame OBAMA!!! Holding up signs and such. They are starting to hold Obama accountable. His policies. His agendas. HIM.

WAIT!!!! What? No! We can't have that. Break it up. Here we go. Want proof? Check this out. According to The New York Times - Occupy Protesters Mobilize for Obama’s Visit By MATT FLEGENHEIMER 10:06 p.m. Updated

More than 100 Occupy Wall Street protesters marched to a Midtown hotel on Wednesday night to protest a fund-raising event for President Obama.

Escorted by police vehicles as they helped snarl traffic across the Times Square area, beginning at Bryant Park, the group settled in front of barricades on the southwest corner of 53rd Street and Seventh Avenue, in view of the Sheraton hotel at which Mr. Obama was expected to appear by 9 p.m.

Demonstrators held signs that leveled some of the Occupy protest’s most pointed criticism to date of the president. “Obama is a corporate puppet,” one said. “War crimes must be stopped, no matter who does them,” read another, beside head shots of President George W. Bush and President Obama.

One man, wearing a mask of the president’s face and holding a cigar, carried a sign that read, “I sold out!”
THAT is why folks. Obama doesn't want this. He wants them to blame the Millionaires and Billionaires. But now some of them, and for a while, some of them, are telling the truth. It REALLY IS Obama a Crew that are destroying America. Oh they attack Businesses that do not support Obama, but they protect those businesses that DO. "But Pete, don't you think that there is at least a possibility that Obama MAY be behind this as well?" Read on.

Ben Campbell, 28, one of the march’s organizers, said he hoped to prove to skeptics of the protests that the demonstrators were political critics of equal opportunity.

“President Obama is coming to town solely to raise money from the richest of the rich,” Mr. Campbell said.
But this is not how Obama and Crew, including the Mainstream Media Drones, they do NOT operate like this. They do not want ANY Criticism directed at Obama whatsoever. Whatever happened to Cindy Sheehan? Did she die? Did she launch into Space? Fall off the Earth? No. She is still out there. We are still at War, Gitmo still open. Wiretaps still going on. Yet? The MMD actually told Cindy in the Beginning of Obama, "Just go away." Remember that?

No folks, we know that there was a conference call by Governors in the States were the Occupy Crowd has gathered, how the best way to break them up is. We learned that there may very well be a connection with the White House. Now the OWS Crowd is under attack. Why? Simple. They went off script. They started telling the Truth. They started ATTACKING Obama. If they know it or not, they ARE attacking Liberalism and all it's Ideas. Therefore, they now must go.

GE Filed 57,000-Page Tax Return, Paid No Taxes on $14 Billion in Profits

"So Petey, you're ok with this? "General Electric, one of the largest corporations in America, filed a whopping 57,000-page federal tax return earlier this year but didn't pay taxes on $14 billion in profits. The return, which was filed electronically, would have been 19 feet high if printed out and stacked." Ahh, capitalism at it's best."

Hey folks,

Since I couldn't be here on Friday, I thought I would take a few seconds to answer a question that I would have on Friday, TODAY. I love when the Liberals use GE to attempt to ask Got ya questions. {Smile}

Here is the Link: The Weekly Standard - GE Filed 57,000-Page Tax Return, Paid No Taxes on $14 Billion in Profits 1:11 PM, Nov 17, 2011 • By JOHN MCCORMACK

General Electric, one of the largest corporations in America, filed a whopping 57,000-page federal tax return earlier this year but didn't pay taxes on $14 billion in profits. The return, which was filed electronically, would have been 19 feet high if printed out and stacked.

The fact that GE paid no taxes in 2010 was widely reported earlier this year, but the size of its tax return first came to light when House budget committee chairman Paul Ryan (R, Wisc.) made the case for corporate tax reform at a recent townhall meeting. "GE was able to utilize all of these various loopholes, all of these various deductions--it's legal," Ryan said. Nine billion dollars of GE's profits came overseas, outside the jurisdiction of U.S. tax law. GE wasn't taxed on $5 billion in U.S. profits because it utilized numerous deductions and tax credits, including tax breaks for investments in low-income housing, green energy, research and development, as well as depreciation of property.

"I asked the GE tax officer, 'How long was your tax form?'" Ryan said. "He said, 'Well, we file electronically, we don't measure in pages.'" Ryan asked for an estimate, which came back at a stunning 57,000 pages. When Ryan relayed the story at the townhall meeting in Janesville, there were audible gasps from the crowd.
So is there a problem? Yup. And it is the Republicans attempting to fix it. However, GE IS Obama. {Laughing} Obama IS in bed with GE. He is OK with them paying nothing. They are his friends. He is only against people that are not his friends. He is only against those that do NOT contribute to his Causes and Campaign.

Ken Kies, a tax lawyer who represents GE, confirmed to THE WEEKLY STANDARD the tax return would have been 57,000 pages had it been filed on paper. The size of GE's tax return has more than doubled in the last five years.

Ryan used the data point to underscore the irrationality of the corporate income tax code. He also contrasted GE with UPS to make the point that the corporate income tax code doesn't make sense. "UPS paid a 34 percent effective tax rate," while its biggest foreign competitor, DHL, paid a 24 percent tax rate, Ryan said.

The problems with the corporate taxes occur because "Republicans and Democrats, both parties, sit in Congress and they're picking winners and losers," Ryan said. The solution, according to the Wisconsin congressman: "Get rid of those loopholes and lower tax rates by a corresponding amount. Don't lose revenue, but for every loophole you pull out, and deny a company from being able to get this little carveout, you can lower the rates so we can be more competitive with our competitors overseas. We want to stem the bleeding of jobs going overseas, of foreign companies buying U.S. companies and taking headquarters overseas."
Do you remember what the Don, Trump, said not too long ago? He said raise my taxes, but give me back my deductions. Why? He would actually pay LESS. What the Republicans want to do is lower Rates for all, but CLOSE the Loopholes, which would FORCE someone like GE to PAY their "Fair Share." So someone like UPS would pay less, but ALL would pay SOMETHING and that would INCREASE Revenue in total. For some reason, I don't know why, the Libs and Obama are just not down with that. They give too much money to them? They do not want to bite the hand that feeds them? Just a thought.

Spending Too Much Money? Cut Out Pointless Things

Sounds like a good Idea. But?

Hey folks,

Happy Friday to ya. This is actually pretty funny if you think about it.

"Hey Peter. I'm spending way too much money. I can't afford it anymore. I mean way too much money. I spend out of control even. But you know what? It's all ok. I'm going to save money by cancelling my Newspaper delivery and go with only online stuff. Yes, I'm serious about saving money. Now it's ok if I spend $1000.00 on this, and $5000.00 on that. I'm serious about saving money. I'm no longer going to get the paper delivered."

Yeah I got that too. I should probably not admit that, once they find out, I may stop getting it. But I got that too. What they are talking about here is this STUPID Email that David Plouffe, Senior Advisor to the President, sent out. The Topic? Saving money. A Contest for Federal Employees that come up with Ideas on how to save money, then summit them. The Winner gets to sit down with The One himself, and present his / her Idea to Obama directly. {Laughing}

What an Award. I know. The most obvious point here is SO? He doesn't listen to his own Advisers. The "Experts." Those with Degrees and YEARS of Experience. But they want Bobby in Housing to think that Obama will LISTEN to him? {Sigh} Sad thing is, most of these Employees probably DO believe that.

So what are some of the Ideas submitted?

Matthew Ritsko, NASA: At Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA employees purchase specialized tools and ground support equipment for developing and building flight projects. Many of the tools are not tracked once projects are complete, and as a result funds are wasted on duplicative purchases. In order to cut down on repeat purchases, Matthew suggests creating a centralized tool repository – or "lending library" – where these tools can be stored, catalogued, and checked in and out by NASA employees.

Eileen Hearty, Department of Housing and Urban Development: All across the country, HUD contractors and staff conduct annual Management and Occupancy Reviews of multifamily properties (i.e. apartments) that are privately-owned and subsidized by HUD. Many of these properties receive high marks year after year and consistently provide excellent service. Eileen proposes a reduction in the frequency of reviews for high-performing properties – a change that would reward superior properties for their excellent work and reduce the travel costs, staff time, and fees paid by HUD for these reviews.

Kevin Korzeniewski, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency: When Kevin began working as an attorney in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, he automatically received a new set of U.S. Code books that get updated and reordered every year. Because the information in these books is now available online through LexisNexis, Westlaw, and free sources – where it is also updated in real time – Kevin suggests that his agency stop automatically ordering these books.

Faith Stanfield, Social Security Administration: Every quarter, the Social Security Administration (SSA) produces and mails OASIS, a 25-plus-page, glossy magazine to 88,000 SSA employees all across the country and more than 1,000 retired SSA employees. The OASIS magazine has been around for decades; however, as more and more SSA communications shift online, Faith suggests that the magazine be released only in an online format to save money on printing and shipping that could be put to better use elsewhere.
So basically, stop putting things in Print and go Online, and keep better track of tools to avoid the Cost of buying new ones. Meanwhile, we are Spending TRILLIONS of Dollars. {Laughing}

But that's OK. See? They really care about looking for ways to Save Money. See. They want to listen to the People. They CARE. I agree with you. It is Pathetic. Sad thing is though, most of their Base will actually buy it. See? They care about cutting spending. I even got to Vote. I matter. They care what I think. Unlike that Evil Bush guy. This President wants input by the little people.

2012 is coming. A more important Election has NEVER taken place. Do not get distracted by all the nonsense out there. We need Obama and Crew GONE. We need someone to at least START to save this Country. We can not afford another four years of this.

Another Green Energy Company Bites The Dust?

And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust.

Hey folks,

Happy Friday to ya. Yeah, I had this on Wednesday morning, however, I just did the Tuesday "From the Energy Front" Segment, and I wanted to get the Iran Stuff out there, but I did see this. This just goes to show, it's not that I'm always right, it's that I understand REALITY. As soon as I saw this, I thought of THIS. {Smile}

I just told you about Beacon Power. $67 million dollars of Obama directed Tax Money. YOUR Money. Of course we all know about Solyndra. That was a half Billion. Now, according to CBS News Investigates - Another Solyndra? Electric car battery maker facing financial hardship By Laura Strickler Topics Follow The Money ,News.

A company whose subsidiary received $118 million in stimulus grant money from the U.S. Department of Energy to build new electric car batteries has now been removed from trading on NASDAQ.

EnerDel got an Energy Department grant in early 2010 for battery manufacturing in Indiana but the stock of EnerDel's parent company, Ener1, fell from $4.04 in 2010 to just 9 cents on Thursday. By Friday NASDAQ had pulled the company from its listing leaving the stock at $0.00.
From $4.00 to 9 Cents? {Laughing} That's a bit of a drop. I know it's not funny. It's another $118 Million Dollars thrown away.

NASDAQ took action after sending the company a notice saying it was out of compliance for failing to file its June 30th financial quarterly filing. The company notified shareholders back in August that two of the company's quarterly filings "should no longer be relied upon" and the company would have to re-do their financial statements.

"Once we get our financials restated, we'll look at what our options are for getting re-listed," Ener1 spokesperson Brian Sinderson told CBS News. Sinderson says the company is now traded on the over the counter market.
Folks, this is just a stall tact. They are attempting to start damage control. Or, like Solyndra, they will just take the money and run. So MORE Jobs LOST. Not gained. LOST. More money wasted. THERE IS NO MARKET! There is no place for these "Green Industry" Companies to thrive. There is NOTHING out there. All the money in the world is not going to create a Market. Only PEOPLE and Desire for a Product can do that. This piece goes on to tell you that another company went Bankrupt, and none of these Companies are living up to their Promises of creating Hundreds or Thousands of Jobs. But they sure are taking the money.

No this is no surprise folks. The more money that we waste, on these FAILED endeavors, well, the more money we waste. Money we do not have right now. All this, this "Green Energy" thing, SHOULD be being played out in the Private Sector. Let those that have money, that believe in the Dream, Invest in this. If they succeed, GREAT! They become Rich, and we all live Greener. If they Fail? All well. Nice try. So sad for you. But it does not effect EVERY AMERICAN. Only those that take the chance. If this was in the Private Sector, it would be gone by now. No one is going to consciously throw money at Failed Ideas and unrealized Dreams. Well, not their OWN money. No. They will leave the Wasting of YOUR money to Obama.

DLA for Sunday 100911

From an unlikely source, the TRUTH flows.

Hey folks,

Up until just recently, it was a forgone conclusion that no matter who the GOP put up, The Media will have little problem destroying, and Obama will simply Wallace in for another 4 years.

Lets face it. Obama is still Black. He is still Brilliant {According to the Media and the Lib Left, still no proof of this whatsoever.} Republicans are still Racists, Bigoted, Chauvinistic, Homophobes that want nothing more that to Protect the Rich Fat Cats, and Screw the little People. If they are Conservatives, then add in there Stupid as well. There is NO WAY that anyone on the Right could beat Obama.

However, that WAS until people starting waking up. That was until people actually put aside the completely Bogus Stereotypes, created by the the Left and the Media, and actually starting to LISTEN to the Candidates. To the Conservative Message. They started to like what they heard.

Look, the truth is, Liberal Ideals are NICE. They are GOOD Ideas. EVERYONE can agree that the world could indeed be a better place if we lived by some of them. Consider a World without War. Who doesn't want that. Consider the Lion laying down with the Lamb. Consider a World where money meant NOTHING. Who wouldn't be happy with that? Consider a World where we could wake up and go about our day without leaving any kind of "foot print" or mark, on the Planet. Where we could fly around in Solar Powered Hover Cars, drink clean water straight from Mountains, Sleep at night being cooled by a cool Breeze created solely by the Wind itself. Love not War. Green everywhere? Who could be against any of that?

The problem is, THAT is not reality. It is not now, never has been, it CAN NOT BE. Reality is that War is real. The Lion EATS the Lamb. Oil makes the World turn. Unfortunately, because of US, Money is a necessity. If you like it or not.

Reality is not fair. It is not always Just. The American Dream is so great, for the sole reason that ANYONE can achieve it. ANYONE. You can strive for Greatness in this Country, and you can achieve it. Look at Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Herman Cain. All came from NOTHING, and are now the Millionaires and Billionaires that Obama talks about. But then again, so is HE.

However, Reality is also cruel for some. If you do not eat, you die. Simple enough to understand. If you CHOSE to be content doing what you are doing, and strive for nothing more, then you get what you get. If you CHOSE to stay home and be dependant on the System, then you will be one of those that feel jealousy and hatred towards those that DID make something of themselves. But you have no one to blame be yourself. Seriously. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Herman Cain, Vince McMahon, and Opera Winfrey making their Millions and Billions, have NO effect on me. If Rush Limbaugh lost his Millions, it would have no effect on me. I would not make a DIME more if Bill Gates lost his. However, in Reality, I could go to work for Rush. I could go to work for IBM, Gateway, or APPLE. I could work for the WWE or become a Camera Guy for Opera. I could make a good Salary. But I could never go to work for someone sitting on their couch WATCHING Opera, collecting a Government Check.

The American Dream is great because instead of Working for Rush, I could go out and get my own Radio Show. If I'm good enough, I could BE Rush. I could sit in my garage, and come up with the next big thing, and become Bill Gates. I could envision a NEW TV Show, and BECOME Vince McMahon, or Opera. Since the founding of this Country, the American Spirit, the American Dream, has MADE this Country what it is today. Well, what it WAS until around 2005. What Bush started at the encouragement of Obama and other Liberals, Obama walked right in and took over.

It is, without doubt. ANY Doubt whatsoever, Liberal Ideals and Agendas that have gotten us into this mess. It is because Liberal Ideas are OPPOSED to what America Stands for. Freedom. The American Dream has been replaced by a Liberal One. An unattainable Utopia of Fairness and Equality for all. Where nothing costs anything, and everyone is equal no matter the amount of work or decisions made by themselves.

Well, we have a President that has brought to pass, a lot of the Liberal Dreams. The American people are learning that they are FALSE. Failed Policies and the Reality is, they simply make things WORSE for all. Now they are hearing the Truth, about what made this Country Great. Conservatism. Freedom. And yes, FAITH. They are waking up. They are starting to listen.

So do not believe that Obama is a shoo-in. Do not believe the early MMD Polls showing that he is still in the Lead. Do not believe that there is no one that can beat him. They DON'T! When asked if he though Obama could loose in 2012, that the Mood in the Country, and the Tea Party, was strong enough to beat Obama, our Winner of the Display of Logic Award said this.

“Oh, absolutely! Absolutely! It's strong enough to beat both of us. Look, no matter what the circumstance, at the end of the day, the American people right now are in real trouble. An even larger percentage have stagnant wages. And a significant majority of the American people believe that the country is not moving in the right direction. That is never a good place to be going into re-election, whether it’s your fault or not your fault. It’s almost sometimes irrelevant.”
WOW! I will give credit where credit is due. From an unlikely source, the TRUTH flows. It is because of Obama that we are in this mess. It is because of Liberal Ideas and Agendas, that "the American people right now are in real trouble. An even larger percentage have stagnant wages. And a significant majority of the American people believe that the country is not moving in the right direction." VP Biden knows it. Obama knows it. The Media knows it. The PEOPLE know it.

Congratulations VP Biden. I do not agree with 99 percent of the things that come out of your mouth, but Like Bush, I love hearing you say them from time to time. But this? THIS I agree with you one hundred percent. You ARE the Winner of the Display of Logic Award, for today, Sunday, October 09th, 2011.

A Green Energy Activist Wakes Up

No matter how good the Dream is, you always have to wake up to Reality.

Hey folks,

Happy Tuesday morning to ya. Here is a classic example of someone who was in the middle of a GREAT Dream. Have you ever been there? You tuck yourself in and slip off to Dreamland, finding yourself somewhere in the Past, or with someone you love, in some exotic location? It is one of those Dream that seem so real. You are having the time of your life. However? No matter how good the Dream is, you always have to wake up to Reality.

Well this is what is happening today. Someone who use to be Dreaming Green, and looking to tap into some of all that Money to help HIS State, "Go Green," has woken up. According to The USA Today - Critic of Obama clean-energy loans lobbied Energy Department By Aamer Madhani, USA TODAY

WASHINGTON – The Republican lawmaker leading the charge against an Obama administration loan guarantee program for clean-energy companies wasn't always so skeptical of government attempts to boost the green economy.

Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich., the chairman of House Energy and Commerce Committee, previously lobbied the Department of Energy to lend money for at least four energy projects in his home state through the same loan program. But after last month's bankruptcy of the solar panel manufacturer Solyndra — the first company to win a DOE clean-energy loan funded through Obama's $825 billion stimulus plan — Upton was among the Republican lawmakers who decried the Department of Energy loan guarantee program for "picking winners and losers."

Now, Upton is suggesting that the DOE program — which has about $7 billion in conditional loan commitments to green firms that are due to be finalized by the end of this week — may amount to "risky investments for American taxpayers." Upton and Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., wrote to Energy Secretary Steven Chu last week and urged him not to rush to finalize several loans that are required by statute to be closed by Friday.

House Energy subcommittee staff are scheduled to meet today with Energy Department officials to discuss the outstanding loans.

"In this time of record debt, I question whether the government is qualified to act as a venture capitalist, picking winners and losers in speculative ventures and shelling out billions of taxpayer dollars to keep them afloat," Upton said at a hearing earlier this month
.Amen! but that is EXACTLY what the Government is doing. The ONLY reason MOST of these "Green Energy" Companies exist is BECAUSE the Government is funding them. THERE IS NO MARKET out there, not yet anyway, to support this entire Industry.

Look, we have not perfected a Viable Alternative. We have not made it affordable for all. We have not figured out a Mass Distribution and Support for it. We have NOTING to Switch to. There is NOTHING there BUT Dreams. Yet, those wanting to further the Green Dream, want to do so at the Cost of what we DO have, and what WORKS. They do not care that your Energy Cost Skyrocket. They do not care that they are using YOUR money to fund LOSING Propositions. They have Agendas and they are sticking to them.

The more and more information that is coming out about Solyndra, the more and more it appears to be nothing more than a Money Laundering Scheme. YOUR Tax money. A HALF a BILLION dollars of your Tax Money. Now we have learned that one of the Biggest Creditors of Solyndra, WAS the Democrat Party.

In the aftermath of Solyndra's collapse, Upton and other Republicans have noted that a foundation tied to an Obama fundraiser was a major investor in the Fremont, Calif.-based company and questioned whether politics played a role in Solyndra winning the loan guarantee. As the result of an ongoing Energy subcommittee investigation, the White House was forced to release a series of e-mails that suggested administration officials were eager to see the deal finalized, so Vice President Biden could attend a 2009 groundbreaking ceremony for Solyndra.

But in the past, Upton, like many of his Republican colleagues, voted in favor of energy policy laws that created the loan guarantee program and lobbied the Energy Department to back loans for firms in their state.

Backed loan guarantees

In 2005, when Republicans controlled Congress and the White House, Upton voted for an energy law that included a loan guarantee program to help support companies looking to develop renewable energy projects as well as nuclear and coal. And in 2007, Upton backed legislation that created the Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan Program, targeting manufacturers and suppliers looking to retool U.S. factories to build high-fuel economy vehicles.
Yeah, it was a Good Dream. Some good has come from it. However, we are talking 2005. Billions upon Billions of Dollars. 6 Years later? We have more efficient Vehicles. They can go farther on a Gallon of gas. Your home, if a Newer one, is more Efficient. But in Reality, not much has changed. So why are we throwing more and more money down the drain? Money we do not have. Did you know this? According to this piece in the USA Today...

Damien LaVera, an Energy Department spokesman, noted that only about 40 applicants out of hundreds were granted conditional loan guarantees and that all applicants are rigorously vetted by internal analysts and outside experts.

"We evaluate the technical aspects of an application to make sure the technology is feasible, work to ensure that projects can be built to scale, do extensive market analysis to ensure there is a place in the market for the product, and evaluate the finances of the project to ensure it is commercially viable," LaVera said.
Only 40 out of Hundreds have been Vetted? 40? Meanwhile we have an Administration that wants to continue to shell out Billions to support these Companies. How many are just like Solyndra? Shell Companies that have alternative plans to do with all that money. We already know that there is NO Market for this. So where is all that Money going to end up?

It's OK a Dream. It really is. I Dream of a greener world. I want to leave this World cleaner and more efficient that it is now, for MY Sons, and their Children for generations to come. Those of you who know me, KNOW that I am big on Recycling. For the sole reason that we only have so much land to fill with all the Garbage we dispose of daily. There are some working hard on trying to figure out how to turn some of that into Energy. I say GREAT! But the Technology is not there yet. The Technology is not there for Mass Solar and or Wind. I would LOVE to drive around in a Vehicle that is powered by, say, Water. Live in a home where the Sun runs everything I need. Where the Rain becomes a source of consumption and even perhaps Power. Where I need not worry about Blackouts. Or Skyrocketing Electric Bills. It's OK to Dream. I share your Dream. But to have this, or ANY Dream become a REALITY, one must never lose track of Reality. No. We MUST find a way to convert the DREAM into something that is VIABLE and Compatible WITH Reality.

Right now in this Country, our Economy is hurting. People are hurting. Our Wealth is SHRINKING. Money is tight and getting more difficult for many to come by. To MANDATE that people spend BILLIONS on this unrealized Dream is just INSANE. First, lets Explore and Drill MORE of what we KNOW we have, and what we know WORKS. Lets put Hundreds of Thousands of people to work. Lets INCREASE our National Security. Let's INCREASE our Revenue to the Government the RIGHT way. And we are talking Hundreds of Billions. Lets make Energy AFFORDABLE for ALL. THEN, and in the MEANTIME, lets continue to look for Viable Alternatives and let the Free Market decide the Winners and the Losers. Trust me folks, when someone DOES finally figure out a Viable Alternative, NOTHING will stop it from coming about. NOTHING. It will happen, and we will all be better off in the long run for it.

The problem is, we are FAR from that today. If the Government would just get out of the way, we will get there. There is no doubt in my mind. Perhaps in MY lifetime, I may be living the "Green Life." But as long as the Government is involved, propping up Companies that are doomed to fail, the process will take a lot longer. If we continue to simply further agendas instead of simply getting out of the way, we may NEVER get there. It's time to wake up and look at Reality. People need Jobs, Affordable Energy, Security, and we need the Economy to improve TODAY, far more than we need to Dream about a POSSIBLE tomorrow.

Keynesian Economics, The Economy Explained by Erick Erickson

From the Emails

Hey folks,

"I know, people already know. But I think this is a GREAT article anyway." Actually NO! Most have no clue. Your right, this IS a great article.

Folks, all we keep hearing is how the Economic Recovery has slowed. It hasn't SLOWED. It has never been IN recovery. It IS the Liberal Policies of those in charge, from Congress to the President, that has put us in this situation. Which MEANS, we need to do something DIFFERENT to get out of it.
In all of the discussions about our current economic state, a possible regression or double dip recession, out-of-control debts, and continued high unemployment there is one conversation those who frame the media, generate the news, and pass around their opinions as “objective” pontiffs and prognosticators of politics will never engage in.

I am of course talking about the failure of Keynesian economic policies.

Now, if Ronald Reagan were president or George Bush were president or any other Republican were president, or if the Republicans were able to get their legislative initiatives out of Congress, the headlines in the same economic climate would be “death of supply side economics.” In fact, we can see that in history.

After Republican losses in 1982, the television and newspaper pundits immediately following the election suggested that Reagan’s economic vision and voodoo economic policies had been rejected by the voters. In 1992, voters were still rejecting Republican economic policies. In 2006, suddenly voters were no longer conservative. 2008 confirmed for many in the media and Democrats that the nation had drifted to the left.

This does not happen when Democrats are defeated at the polls. When Jimmy Carter was defeated in 1980, it was because of economic malaise and the Iranian hostage crisis, not Jimmy Carter loving embrace of failed British economic policies. 1994 was about gays in the military and Bill Clinton’s inability to handle politics and policy concurrently. 2010 was because the Democrats got the message wrong and did not focus on jobs. They made the tragic, unfortunate, horrible mistake of socializing medicine before creating jobs.

It is, if you will, because the job is too big for one man, not because of the man’s policies. Never mind that the job is too big for only two men, Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama.

It is never because of the Democratic economic policies. It is never because Keynesian economics does not work. The only time economic policy does not work in the mind of the mainstream media is when voters punish Republicans at the polls. The reason for this is quite plain and quite simple.

Those people who form the news, shake the news, give voice to what’s happening as an objective commentator, and report on the daily happenings in the world tend to lean left. Consequently, they believe that in economic downturns the appropriate solution is for more government spending. These people believe that Herbert Hoover did nothing and that is what caused the great depression, never mind the massive spending Herbert Hoover implemented. These people believe the economic myths of the left and, many of them, have never worked in the free market.

This is why should you go on CNBC or the Fox Business Channel or read the Wall Street Journal or Investors Business Daily or encounter any media geared towards the free markets, you will find a healthy dose of skepticism toward Barack Obama and Keynesian economics. But should you read any other news publication or watch any other news channel or engage with those nightly talking heads on the big three networks, rarely will you encounter any sense of skepticism regarding the president’s economic policies. About the only thing you’ll find is a lament that the president is not doing more to create jobs as opposed to a recognition that the government has no idea how to create jobs.

All of this relates to the media’s worldview, which largely mirrors the Democrats’ worldview. It is a worldview premised on the idea that the more government does the better we all are. This worldview influences their coverage of the news, their coverage of Republicans in Washington, their skepticism of smaller and more limited government, and the idea that any bipartisan compromise no matter how terrible it is for the American people must definitionally be congratulated because it is a sign of good government when the parties come together.

As you continue to watch the news coverage of the deteriorating economic climate, just remember that most of the premises that will be made and enunciated are that the government must do more, not less. It will be coupled with a healthy believe that if only the government would spend more money more jobs would be created and the world would be a better place. This has nothing to do with reality and has never truly been shown to work. In fact, history shows Keynesian economics tends to lead countries into greater debt with less to show for it. Instead, the media and the Democrats should be embracing Milton Friedman and freeing up the American people to innovate, create jobs, and not be punished for being successful.

Keynesian economics does not work. Every few decades we must again bury the zombie that is John Maynard Keyes. Now is the time for us to do it again and instead invest our talents and time in resurrecting zombie Milton Friedman. Of course, should that happen, the next time the voters punish Republicans for doing something stupid and at odds with their limited government, less spending philosophy, the media will yet again begin its call that this is a rejection of Milton Friedman and free markets, in spite of all history and all evidence to the contrary, and that John Maynard Keyes be resurrected and put to work to destroy the American economy in the name of government creating jobs and a better future.

Like I said, GREAT piece. These ARE the FACTS folks. If the Libs like it or not.

Have a great FRIDAY! See you soon.

It's The Economy Stupid. Stupid. STUPID!

Hey folks,

It's the Economy Stupid. That is what the majority of the Voters said to the Democrats this past Election. Yet, the Democrats have reformatted for when they go into the Minority, to reflect the exact same as they are now. With Pelosi at the Helm.

Meanwhile, more and more debt, the Democrats, and of course Obama, spend MORE AND MORE. There are countless projects, pet and otherwise, and more pay backs and pay offs. There are more and more slush funds, and the buying of Votes for the Future. Yet, we are going more and more in Debt, they spend more and more, with no signs of slowing.

According to Newsmax.com - McConnell: Democrats Don't Get Economic Priorities Saturday, 20 Nov 2010 10:10 AM
Despite being trounced in midterm elections that hinged overwhelmingly on economic policy, Democrats still don’t get where Americans are at, according to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. The Kentucky Republican said the weekly GOP address that Democrats are using the final days of the lame-duck session to focus on a number of controversial issues at the expense of extending the Bush tax cuts for all Americans, according to The Hill.
Which is true. Time is ticking.
Those issues include immigration, environmental regulations and a reorganization of the Food and Drug Administration. But Democrats are in disarray over the prospect of preserving the tax cuts, which many economists credit with saving Americans from a much worse recession.

The tax cuts expire at the end of the year; Democrats have vowed not to extend them for the highest income tax bracket.
This is because this is their INSANE BASE. This small, yet very loud INSANE Base. Those that think it's good to stick it to the Rich. Meanwhile in the real world, I have never gotten a job from a Poor Person. I have never gone into and bought something I need from a Poor Person sitting on their, uh, rears, collecting a Government Check.

Our Winner of the Display of Logic award, GETS IT. He GETS that the Liberal Loons don't.
“Democrats put off all these things until after the election, along with the most basic task of funding the government. By focusing on them now, and not on legislation to promote job creation and reduce spending, they’re showing where their priorities lie," McConnell said.

Hey folks,

Welcome to the Big Sunday Edition of the OPNTalk Blog. Glad you made it. Before we get started, I want to give a shout out to all those involved in the Stuart Air Show. I brought Josh there yesterday, Pictures soon to be posted on Facebook, and a GREAT TIME was had by all. They truly outdid themselves this year.

OK. Lets answer a completely asinine question. It was posed by Howard LaFranchi in the Christian Science Monitor - Why world leaders smacked down Obama at G20 summit

Washington – How do you say “shellacking” in Chinese? Or German? Or Korean?

Fresh from his self-described shellacking in this month’s midterm elections, President Obama has gotten pretty much the same treatment from foreign leaders as he has made his way through Asia this week.

Leaders at the Group of 20 (G20) summit in Seoul, South Korea – China and Germany topping the list – made it clear that they feel freer than ever to stand up to the United States on global economic issues. And South Korea refused to bow to Obama administration demands for reworking a US-Korea free-trade agreement dating from the Bush administration, putting off conclusion of the trade pact until at least next year.
WHY? Really? It's the Economy Stupid. It is the fact that Obama has lost his charm. They are seeing him for who and what he really is. The Charade is up. He his presiding over the demise of America itself, and his policies are making it worse. The QE2 $600 Billion in new money into the economy was just the final straw.

Why world leaders smacked down Obama at G20 summit? Because, believe it or not, Obama is NOT the King of the World, and they do not like the way he is handling the Greatest Country on the face of the Planet. They do not like HIM. A little spoiled Child who has no idea how to handle ANYTHING. Out for an agenda that profits him personally, be damned his own Country, and or, the World. THAT'S WHY.

Speaking of Emails, I got this Joke mailed to me. I do not usually do this, but I like this one. It's sent in by BG, I do not know it's origin, but as with any great comedy, there is always an element of truth. Here it is.

A doctor from Israel said: "In Israel the medicine is so advanced that we cut-off a man's testicles, we put them into another man and in 6 weeks he is looking for work".

The German doctor commented: "That's nothing, in Germany we take part of the brain out from a person, we put it into another person's head and in 4 weeks he is looking for work".

A Russian doctor said: That's nothing either. In Russia we take out half of the heart out from a person, we put it into another person's chest and in 2 weeks he is looking for work.

The US doctor answered immediately: That's nothing colleagues, you are way behind us . . . . in the USA (about a year ago) we grabbed a person with no brains, no heart and no balls . . .. . . we made him President and now the whole country is looking for work!!!!!
{Laughing} Thanks BG. Going to fill my cup. Go get yours, and I'll be right back.

It's The Economy Stupid

Not Cap and Tax. Not Class Warfare. Not Obamacare. No. It's NOT Liberal Policies themselves, It's what they produce.

Hey folks,

Remember James Carville? Back in 1992, started by James, then widely used during Bill Clinton's successful 1992 Presidential Campaign against George H. W. Bush. Bush was considered a shoe in and unbeatable because of what was going on in the World such as the end of the Cold War and the Persian Gulf War. It worked. Why? Because people care about their pocketbook. They care about their wallets.

Remember back on Sunday, April 18, 2010, I told you my theory of The Bubble Factor. I said this.

You see, the Tea Parties are a PRODUCT of the anger. They are the result, not the cause. What about Talk Radio? The Blogs? {I guess that would mean me as well.} Again, the short answer is both yes and no. So what IS the cause? The Bubble Factor.

Let me try to explain it this way. Most people, from all walks of life, live somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of life. They live in their happy homes, drive their happy cars, go off to school then work. They have their hobbies, and they meet one another, leave their Parents and join together, having children of their own, cycle repeats.

From time to time, something will pull at their heart strings. They will donate some money, go down and volunteer at a soup kitchen, or join a cause. Yet, at the end of the day, there they are in their happy little beds, drifting off to Dream Land.

Truth is, most people have no clue as to what reality is. As long as the outside does not penetrate their little bubble, they are happy. They go to Church, say Amen, go back into their little worlds. They rarely take the time to truly look around to see what they can see.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing. No, I'm not judging anyone. Simply stating reality. For most, Politics is even more alluding. For most, Politics is about two months, every two years. One Politician says one thing, the other says something else, they go with, if they even bother to Vote, the one that best sounds most related to the view they possess. Most do not bother to learn anything beyond what they hear on the local News.

Once in a while though, something comes along and penetrates their little bubble. Then they start to look more deeply into whatever it is. A disease, War, Death or a loved one, and sadly, FINANCES.
Well? Is there any doubt that their FINANCES are taking quite a beating as of late? EVERYONE is feeling it. A new ABC NEWS Poll shows Reality. It's NOT about Race. It's not abut Obamacare. Well, it IS. But not about Obamacare itself. It's not about Class Warfare. It's about the Economy Stupid. According to ABC News - Anger About the Economy Fuels Republican Advantage GOP More PO'ed About Economy, and More Likely to Vote By ANALYSIS by GARY LANGER

That's part of the takeaway from the latest ABC News/Yahoo! News poll. Its results identify why the public's economic discontent is playing so strongly in the Republican Party's favor in the upcoming midterm elections: in elections, anger works.

2010 Election Maps: Follow the Senate, House and Governors' Races

This national survey finds that Republicans are markedly more likely than other Americans to describe themselves as "angry" about the economy. And angry people, by a wide margin, are more apt to blame the Democratic Party than the GOP for the problem.
That's because it IS the Democrats that got us where we are. It IS Obama and Crew. It IS Liberal Ideals.

Angry folks, for good measure, also are far less apt than others to believe the economy's started to show signs of recovery. That pessimism intensifies their hunt for change.

All told, 85 percent of Americans are either angry about the economy or at least dissatisfied with it, according to the survey, produced for ABC and Yahoo! News by Langer Research Associates. That makes economic discontent even higher than anger or dissatisfaction with "the way the federal government is working," at 71 percent in an ABC News/Washington Post poll last week.
I got news for ya. It's NOT just Republicans. ALL Americans are starting to feel it. Those that have it, ain't spending it. Those that don't have it, is losing even more of what they already have little of. No Jobs. Home foreclosing. No credit. NOTHING.

Now I and others have told you, just look around. There is NO Recovery. Oh the Left are trying any and everything that they can to make it appear we are on the road to recovery. They are manipulating the Stock Market. That never lasts long though, because it is not real. They manipulate the Unemployment numbers. They are trying to force some lenders to stop foreclosing, then coming out and saying that this may be a bad thing. They are having Liberal Lackey Organization coming out saying that the Recession ended a YEAR ago. {Sigh}

Yet, if you listen very closely, you can hear it. {Pop} {Pop, pop, pop,} People's Personal little bubbles are popping all over the place. People are waking up. THIS is REALITY. Why do you think no one cares about the Green Movement, or Global Warming, anymore? Well, A - they realize that it is a SCAM. B- They can't afford it. C- They do not want the Government taking over and regulating ANY MORE of their private and personal lives.

Now this piece goes on to attempt to explain it even more, but there really is nothing more to understand. It's the Economy Stupid. The magic is gone. The Dream is becoming a Nightmare for more and more people. It's kind of hard to make promises, when the prior promises are failing miserably. They are promising more of the same. Problem is, we did not want THAT to begin with. We sure enough want no more.
Peter

Jobs Jobs, Jobs. It's The Economy, Stupid

You can not have an Economic Recovery without JOBS!

Hey folks,

That is just a simple FACT! You can not have an Economic Recovery without JOBS! This is an EXCELLENT piece at CNN Fortune - Stop the 'jobless recovery' madness!

Economy that isn't creating employment opportunities simply isn't doing its job. By Colin Barr, senior writer Last Updated: November 6, 2009: 2:18 PM ET

NEW YORK (Fortune) -- It's time to stop glorifying our economic doldrums with this "jobless recovery" nonsense.

Yes, the economy did grow in the third quarter, for the first time in a year. Fewer Americans are filing new claims for unemployment insurance,

One reason is that MOST have given up LOOKING!

and giant financial institutions appear less apt to collapse and send us into another stupor. The stock market has recovered much of its winter decline.

But so far there is no sign of an employment turnaround -- and without one, and soon, all the other gains could prove fleeting.

The U.S. has lost jobs in 22 straight months, and Friday's news that 10.2% of the labor force is out of work -- the highest reading since 1983 -- shows just how far we have to go.

Without better job prospects, the consumers whose spending makes up the lion's share of economic activity will remain tightfisted. That will slow the healing of deep wounds in the housing and financial markets.

"To have a real recovery you need to put people to work," said John Harrington, who runs Harrington Investments, a socially responsible asset management firm in Napa, Calif. "Right now we aren't doing that."

The term jobless recovery was used mostly as a pejorative when it came into circulation in the 1990s. But in the wake of last year's meltdown, it has taken on a new sense: If you give it time, economic growth will come. That has been the mantra throughout 2009.

Yet Friday's headline unemployment number was worse than economists expected
,{Of course} and it wasn't the only bad news. The average workweek remains short by historical standards -- suggesting many employed people are working fewer hours than they'd like. People are staying unemployed longer and losing their benefits, in spite of recent government action to extend them.

In spite of Obama's agenda, EVERYTHING is failing. Five more banks failed this week. That makes 120 for the year. Foreclosures are at a record high, More Companies are going Bankrupt. Where of where have the Billions gone?

A short work week isn't just a sign of distress for cash-strapped workers. It also says it will be some time before employers start hiring again.

"Particularly with future uncertainty as high as it is, firms are more likely to increase the hours of underemployed workers before hiring unemployed workers," wrote Janney Montgomery Scott economist Guy LeBas in a note to clients Friday.

Because output fell so sharply following the oil shock and Lehman Brothers collapse of 2008, some pundits are banking on a sharp rebound.

But job and wage growth have been weak for a decade. Total private sector employment has dropped since the Yankees held their previous victory parade, in 2000.

That means there has been no net private sector job growth over a nine-year span where the U.S. population expanded by 11%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Meanwhile, financial institutions remain unhealthy, with 140 banks having failed since the start of 2008. The few that seem to have avoided the worst hits, such as Goldman Sachs (GS, Fortune 500) and JPMorgan Chase (JPM, Fortune 500), have made a mint on their trading desks -- which thickens traders' wallets but doesn't do much for those seeking credit to start or expand a business.

"All that stuff just adds to the speculation and the market volatility," said Harrington. "I'd like to see them do more things that actually add to the economy."

Another sign that the pain isn't about to disappear comes from Sean Bisceglia, CEO of TalentDrive, a Chicago-based job search technology startup.

He says almost half of the companies he surveyed in August and September either had cut their hiring budget or didn't have one. Bisceglia concedes that number is a "fungible" one and says he expects that hiring will pick up when the economic outlook improves.

But companies like Bisceglia's may be a reason why it will take so much longer for job growth to return. Better, more efficient technology is replacing workers in many industries. That is one reason productivity has been rising -- and why jobs have been harder to come by.

"A lot of companies are using technology to streamline the hiring process, and that can hold down the headcount even when things get better," said Bisceglia, whose company employs 16 people and hopes to add four positions next year. "We're just trying to ride that wave."

So glad Obama has brought us back from the brink. Of course, that would be sarcasm. I repeat, You can not have an Economic Recovery without JOBS! Stop the insanity of out of control spending and oppressive taxation and LET the Economy fit itself. It WILL. A lot faster than when Government gets involved.
