Big Changes On Big Talk 850 WFTL

Change is inevitable, and change they will Thursday March 15th at 9am.

Hey folks,

Now I had caught this a few times on Big Talk 850 when my favorite Morning Show went to break. I asked my Friend Rich Stevens what that was all about. I was sad to hear him say, "I am Leaving The Conversation." I will admit, I was VERY sad. But fret not, Rich is NOT leaving Big Talk. He will be simply MOVING to the 1pm hour. Which He loves by the way because this means he can sleep in. {Smile}

So what does that mean for Leadfoot, I mean News Guy Dave? It means instead of working 6 straight hours on the Radio, he will only have to work 4. You see, he is the Morning News guy. He starts his mornings at 6am South Florida's Morning News runs until 9am. Now Dave McBride will simply continue until 10am.


Which is cool for me, The Joyce Kaufman Show will come on from 10am to 1pm. So for all of you who told me, I would love to check her out, but you know, there is another little show on at 12pm, you have no excuse now. Check her out. I'm telling you, give her a Week, you'll be hooked.

Then at 1pm, on Thursday March 15th, 2012, the Debut of the Rich Stevens Show. his new show will go from 1pm to 3pm. Then at three? The Barsky Show from 3pm to 6pm.

Now last time I did this, I was asked what happens at 6pm. Do they just go off the air. NO. Of course not. At 6pm The Savage Nation w/ Michael Savage at 9pm The Dennis Miller Show Of course you can get this, the Total Line up, Pod Casts Down loads, links to the Shows, Blogs, Whatever, and of course, LISTEN LIVE, all at their Website Big Talk, 850 WFTL.

Folks, 850 was good. Now Big Talk 850 is even BETTER. Ever growing, ever changing, ever improving. This small Group of people are really making a difference and really building something great. The Barsky Show

Just for clarification.

Hey folks,

Please understand that this is an attempt to explain what I was talking about on Facebook. Please understand that I am NOT calling for a Protest, Boycott, or anything of that sort. I'm simply explaining what happened and HOPING that you do not judge the Rest of the Station nor the other Shows based on being Offended by this ONE Show and this ONE Guy.

You all know I believe in Free Speech. You all know I believe in Freedom OF Religion. You all know that I believe in God. You have a RIGHT to believe or not. You have a RIGHT to saying anything you want. I not only get that, I agree with it. But if what you say offends someone, then you have to deal with that person not being friends, or pleasant toward you. You have the RIGHT to say anything, as long as you are willing to deal with the Consequences.

I love comedy. I have no problem if someone jokes about God, the Bible, the Devil, White People, Black People, Women, whatever. If it is in a joking manner, part of a bit, or whatever, I'm usually OK with it. If it is over the top, I can brush it off and move on.

However, when you go on a Radio Show and you start by calling someone who was speaking at a RELIGIOUS School about the Devil and HIS Views on Faith, and proceed to call him a Kook, Nut, and Crazy, you may be pushing it a bit. But then if you go on for like two of three segments, talking about "This is Crazy Talk." and "He should keep this kind of thing in Crazy Land." you then go from entertaining to offending.

Now it's no longer a Joke. Now it's no longer a bit. NOW it is what you really believe and what you really mean. Which again, is OK. However, it becomes offensive to others that fit in that category. People of Faith. People that DO believe in God, the Devil, and the Bible. People that GO to the "Crazy Land" as Paul Barsky called it, also known as CHURCH.

So on Tuesday night I was told by someone, who was listening at my recommendation when this happened , that they were HIGHLY Offended. They asked WHY I would recommend someone like this. I apologized and thought it may be a good Idea to apologize to ANYONE out there that also became offended by listening to a Show I promoted. So I did. I am.

Folks, again, please do not get me wrong. I am NOT calling for you to Boycott the Show. If he keeps going like this, he will not last long all by himself. I LIKE the Show. He can be a funny guy. I like the others on the Show. I was the first ever, well, I got disconnected, so I was the SECOND caller ever on the Show. However, I will no longer be listening to the Show for the same reasons some of you will not be. Listen if you want to. Don't if you do not want to. But again, PLEASE, do not judge the OTHER Shows on Big Talk 850 based on this ONE. Thank you and again, if you were offended by listening to the Show at my prompting, I apologize.

Have I told you about my Favorite Radio Station? It's Big Talk 850 WFTL. Live, Local, and Fun. The best form of Infotainment on the Radio today. You see, it starts out at 6 am with the Morning News with Dave McBride. Followed by the BEST Morning Radio Talk Show on the Air today, The Conversation with Rich Stevens and News Dude Dave Mcbride from 9am - 12pm.

Then at Noon, there is really no need to change the dial. No folks, because at Noon Joyce Kaufman comes on from Noon to 3pm. For over 20 years, this feisty Jewish and Puerto Rican Lady is not shy about telling you what she thinks. She LOVES this Country, and is hell bent on saving it. Like me, she is an Independent thinking Conservative. She tows no Party Line, unless it is one that makes commonsense. I'm telling ya folks, give her a Week, you will be hooked.

Then at 3pm, the New Guy comes on. The Barsky Show. Join Barsky and Company as they discuss a variety of topics, as well as the biggest stories of the day. It's three hours of Irreverent, Provocative, sometimes Hilarious but always Entertaining Radio for South Floridians. And anyone else that may tune in.

Yes, like I said, a GREAT form of Infotainment. No need to do anything but lock the Radio, OR, if you do not live here in Sunny South Florida, like RL, go to the Website and click "Listen Live" from 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday. No need to jump around. Never a dull moment. Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Oh by the way, if you check out the List of Personalities, you know one you will not see? Me. No RL, I do not work for them. I'm just passionate about what I feel is the best Radio Station out there today. Simple as that. Just as a side note myself, all the times shown here are Eastern Standard. But that's OK too. The Question and Answer Heard Around The World

The Conversation goes Global.

Hey folks,

I HAVE to give a big Shout Out to my friend Rich Stevens of The Conversation with Rich Stevens and News Guy Dave McBride, over At Big Talk 850. See Dave, I mentioned you. {Smile} I think I've mentioned the Show once or twice. It really is the best Morning Show on the Air today. Even if you do not live here in Sunny South Florida, you can and SHOULD, still check them out at the Website. You can get Pod Casts, Links to your IPhone, and of course, you can Listen Live Online.

So why the Shout Out? On Tuesday, this past Week, Rich Stevens had a Special Guest. Former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich. It was a nice Conversation. Rich asked some normal Political Questions. Like, "What are the first three things you will do if you get Elected?" I like Newt's answer. I really did.

Then Rich asked him a series of questions that are not your normal Political Type. They were meant to give us a better insight as to who Newt is as a Person, not just a Politician. Questions like "If you could be a Superhero, who would it be?" His answer? Superman. Then a question that I though was, well, interesting. "If Aliens landed and told you they wanted to take you to their Planet and make you a Leader, what would you want to be the Leader of?" His answer was just as interesting. "I would tell them to leave me alone so I can stay on Earth."

But out of all Question and Answers, came the fateful moment. The Question and Answer that was heard around the World....

Rich "If Hollywood was going to do a movie about your life, who would you like to see play the lead role?"

Newt "Oh, in my fantasy life? Brad Pitt ... why not?!

Rich "Is it because you guys look alike?"

Newt "No, I don’t look like him at all. He's thinner, he's better looking, he's younger. But you asked me if I had anyone who could play me in a movie ... why not go for Brad Pitt???"

{Laughing} Folks, The Conversation goes Global. Seriously, Fox, CNN, TMZ, ET, Hell, even The View. Just to name a few. Doubt me? Type "Rich Stevens Newt" into Google. It's all over the World. Even one of our favorites here, the UK Guardian, picked it up.

Way to go Rich. I was on the Show Thursday and Congratulated him. I told him that the Powers that BE at Big Talk 850 should toss him a Bonus for all that Free Advertising. He gave the PC answer. "The Bonus is them just allowing me to work here." Yeah, OK. {Smile} Way to go Rich, and Dave {Smile} Keep up the good work. Hey Dave, that's TWICE..

Big Talk 850 WFTL

I officially love this Radio Station..

Hey folks,

You all know that I am a Radio Talk Junkie. Use to be I did some flipping around the Dial, listening to this or that Show. Then one faithful morning I tuned into 850 WFTL, and found The Conversation with Rich Stevens and Dave McBride. The greatest morning Show on the Air Today. I think I mentioned them once of twice, and you may have even heard me on the Show, once or twice..{Smile}

Well, this got my attention. I love Dave's News Casts, and found he also does the EARLY AM Show. All news with a flare of Entertainment. So I tuned in even earlier. But like many, I turned the Dial at 12 pm for another little Radio Show that goes on at this time. But one day, and I'll be honest, a fill in Host was, well, filling in. So I stayed on 850 and listened to The Joyce Kaufman Show Folks, I'm telling you, if you give Joyce say a week? You will be hooked.

Well, something has been happening over at 850 Radio. They are changing and growing, 50,000 watts of Power, new Building, new concept, new name. They are now "Big Talk 850". Live, Local, and fun. The goal is to BE local. You see all the Hosts from Sun up to Sun Down live right here in Sunny South Florida. This means, if YOU live here, what effects you, effects THEM. They are in it with ya. Isn't that much better than someone sitting in an Office on the other side of the Country attempting to tell you what the Traffic is like. Or what upcoming local events are. Or whatever? Seriously. If you call up, they can relate because they are in it too. Great Concept.

Well, now I do not even have a reason to switch the Dial at 3pm. Nope. They they now have a NEW Host at 3pm. Paul Barsky, who does the "Barsky Show." Now this is a Brand New Show. It just started Wednesday. They do not even have a picture of him on the Website, nor any information yet. But I'll tell you what, I checked out the Show Friday, and I will admit, I haven't laughed so hard as I did Friday, for a while. It was fresh, entertaining, and just plain fun.

Look, if you truly want to be entertained, you just need to check out the new Big Talk 850. It really is that simple. No need to change the dial. Especially if you live here in Sunny South Florida. These are not Show that are hard core, down the line, Political Shows. They are REAL Entertainment. There is something for everyone. Tebowmania WILL Live On, "Big Talk" 850 Radio,

Hey folks,

Did you catch the game last night? The WORLD most likely did. It was said to be the Most Watched Game in NFL History. Including Super Bowls. Why? Tebowmania. Tim Tebow is a household name now. People LOVE him, or they absolutely HATE him. They Love him for what he does OFF the Field. They HATE him for various reasons. One of the main ones, and make no mistake about this, his OPEN display of Faith.

Some say he is over hyped. They will POUNCE on last night's game as evidence of this. New England Patriots slaughtered the Denver Broncos 45 to 10. Tom Brady threw six Touchdown Passes. Five in the first half of the Game. Some say this will silence all the Nationwide frenzy surrounding Tebow. I think not.

Look, it really is simple. Tebow's LAST Game was a Record setting, GREAT Game for the Broncos. It was Record Setting because it had stuff in there that is not NORMAL. It was a GREAT Game. This Game was a normal game. The Patriots are simply a BETTER Team. The Bronco's Defensive Team had no chance at stopping them. The Patriots Defensive Team DID stop Tebow from getting much of any momentum and the better Team last night WON.

However, Tebowmania is NOT going anywhere. They will attempt to destroy it using this Game against the Patriots, but because Tebow is who he is, and he couldn't care less about all the hype. He will continue to do what he does. He looks at this for what it is. You Win some, you Lose some. Next year is a new beginning. Meanwhile he will still be WHO he is. People will still love him or love to HATE him. He really doesn't care about all that. Nor should he. Congrats to the New England Patriots who will take on the Winner of the Baltimore and Houston Game next week for a spot in the Super Bowl.

All that in just a few minutes. First I want to talk about THIS. You all know I love 850 WFTL Radio. From the BEST Morning News Show, the BEST Morning Talk Show, The Conversation with Rich Stevens and News Dude Dave McBride, to the total day of Programs. The Joyce Kauffman Show Noon to 3pm, {I know, I know, there's this other little Radio Show on at the same time, but TRUST me. Give her a Week, you will be hooked} but that's all I'm going to say.

Why? Because they are making some changes over at 850 WFTL. BIG Changes. They are now "Big Talk" 850 Radio. A New Host will be hitting the Air Waves, I hope this Monday. No not me. I would in a Heartbeat, but no. {Smile} I'm not telling you his name, you'll have to tune in to check it out. Their Goal is simple. Local Hosts from Sun up to Sun down. People that LIVE right here in Sunny South Florida. Not someone in a Studio on the other side of the Country, but Hosts that LIVE right here. That Drive our Roads, Shop in our Stores, go where WE go. Something happens HERE, it effects THEM here. They will have a better connection with YOU. I love the Concept.

However, YOU do not HAVE to live here in Sunny South Florida to enjoy one of the Best Lineups and THE Best Morning Talk Show on the Air today. You can always Listen Live, Enjoy Pod Casts, Blogs, ETC, by going to the Website "Big Talk" 850 WFTL.
