Iran, Israel, Britain, US, War Games?

So Iran is in The Strait of Hormuz.

We know this. We know that they are threatening to shut it down, cutting off a MAJOR Oil Supply Route to the World. We know that WE have the U.S. Fifth Fleet that says it won't allow a Hormuz disruption.

Today we learn, well, January 6th, we learned that the US and ISRAEL are testing a NEW more powerful Missile Defense System. Its called “Austere Challenge 12”, and it is designed to improve Defence Systems. They will be testing multiple Israeli and US Air Defence Systems against incoming Missiles and Rockets. If all goes well, they would be able to destroy ANY Missile or Rocket LONG before it hits Israel.

Then Today, we also learned that WE are not alone. Britain is now getting into the Act. According to The Daily Telegraph - Royal Navy sends its mightiest ship to take on the Iranian show of force in the Gulf

The Daily Telegraph understands that HMS Daring has been fitted with new technology that will give it the ability to shoot down any missile in Iran's armoury. The £1 billion destroyer, which will leave Portsmouth next Wednesday, also carries the world's most sophisticated naval radar, capable of tracking multiple incoming threats from missiles to fighter jets.

Daring, with its crew of 190, will transit through the Suez Canal and enter the Gulf later this month to replace the Type 23 frigate currently on station

So we got US, Iran, Israel, and now our Friends {DISPITE OBAMA} across the Pond, will be joining in. Meanwhile Obama is giving our Tech and Secrets to the Russians, while telling us he will shrink the Military. No one has a CLUE what is going on in North Korea. And also thanks to Obama, because of all this, watch the Price of Gas go up to $4.00 Plus a Gallon.

As I keep telling you. We live in Dangerous Times in a Dangerous World. We NEED real Leadership. Someone that LOVES this Country and all her Freedoms that go with it. Someone who UNDERSTANDS that with CERTIAN Force, it can only be met with Force. Unfortunately, with some, they only understand Force and or the VIABLE Threat of.

Someone finally taking Russia serious.

I just got done talking about Russia. I have been telling you for years now that Russia, Putin in particular, needs to be closely watched. Putin wants the good old days of the USSR back. He wants a new Cold War with America.

Now I'm not going to rehash all the things we have been talking about over the years, but it is crystal clear what Putin's intentions are, for anyone paying attention. We also know that Russia IS working WITH Iran on THEIR Nuclear quest.

So Obama names Michael McFaul, a Senior Adviser to Obama on Russia, to be the new Russian Ambassador. Knowing the Obama and Crews willingness to "Compromise" and "Work With" those that have little to no interest in our well being, our Display of Logic Award Winner is standing in the way. He wants assurances first.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Republican senator is blocking President Barack Obama's nominee to become ambassador to Russia over suspicions the U.S. might provide Moscow with sensitive missile defense information.

The administration says it has no plans to provide such data. But it says the assurances sought by Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., are so broad, they would prevent any substantial cooperation on missile defense.

The dispute with Kirk further complicates the Obama administration's efforts to get U.S.-Russian relations back on track at a time of increased tensions over missile defense.

It also has political overtones ahead of next year's elections. The White House considers improved relations with Russia, including the signing of a major arms reduction treaty, to be one of the big foreign policy successes of Obama's presidency. Republicans have accused Obama of granting too many concessions to Russia and getting little in return.

Again, I do not want to rehash all this, but you know as well as I that Putin doesn't care about us. Oh, he will sign an agreement to reduce Nukes if he is sure we WILL. And with Obama, he is pretty sure we WILL. But, uh, how do we know if they do? You get the point.

Kirk is holding up the nomination of Michael McFaul, a senior adviser to Obama on Russia. In an interview with The Associated Press, Kirk said he wants written assurances that the United States will not provide Russia with any currently classified information on the missile defense system.

Kirk said he is particularly concerned that the administration could offer Russia data on the speed of interceptors planned for Europe in order to ease Russian fears that the system could knock out Russian ballistic missiles.

He said he also is concerned about Russia's "record of espionage and cooperation and dialogue with Iran." He said precise data on the interceptor speeds could help Iran evade the U.S. defenses. The U.S. insists its missile interceptors are aimed at countering a threat from Iran.

{Laughing} So he doesn't trust them because of their recent historical FACTS. Their own actions. We already know that they ARE doing these things. The sad thing is, we also know Obama. We know his willingness to throw American Security under the bus for his own Political Gain. Sen. Mark Kirk is showing Logic, and intelligence, to seek assurances that we will not simply lay down for Russia in the hopes that they will follow. Obama and Crew do not say they will NOT do these things. They admit EVERYTHING is on the table.

The administration says that while it is not considering such an offer, it does not want to limit its options by ruling out any exchange of sensitive information they say would be essential for any substantial missile defense cooperation.

"In the future, some classified information exchange may benefit the United States," White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said in a statement.

U.S. missile defense plans in Europe have been one of the touchiest subjects in U.S.-Russian relations going back to the administration of Obama's predecessor, George W. Bush.

One of Obama's earliest moves to ease tensions was the administration's 2009 announcement that it would revamp Bush's plan to emphasize shorter-range interceptors. Russia initially welcomed that move, but has more recently suggested that the new interceptors could threaten its missiles as the U.S. interceptors are upgraded.

U.S. talks with Russia over missile defense cooperation have nearly broken down. Russia recently threatened to target missiles at the U.S. missile defense systems in Europe and just commissioned a radar in Kaliningrad, near the Polish border, capable of monitoring missile launches from Europe and the North Atlantic.

So why do we trust them? It's like watching an old Western. You got two guys standing there with Guns drawn. The Bad Guy says he will drop his if the Good Guy does first. The Good guy drops his, BANG! "Hey you already knew I'm the Bad Guy."

For showing that you can observe Reality, apply Thought and Logic to what you Observe, and the fact you are willing to ask for assurances, THANK YOU. Mother is Coming Back

What I have been saying, is coming to pass.

All the way back to Monday, December 24, 2007, I was telling you about this. Remember when Time announced it's Person of the Year? Remember who that was? That's Right. It was Vladimir Putin. I said this.

He wants to bring back the Soviet Union. He has threatened to revive the Cold War. Person of the Year?

On Thursday, January 01, 2009, I posted this. I Hope Obama Is Watching I said THIS:

First day into the new year. January 1, 2009, and we see that Russia is continuing it's quest, or Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's quest that is, to bring Russia back to the days of the USSR.

As I have been telling you, Russia is on the move. Putin wants to restore all the Russian Territories and will do pretty much anything to achieve it. The Georgia war was the latest move.

Now it appears to be the Ukraine. Remember back on September 17, 2008 I posted this.

The Russia / Georgia War is NOT a surprise. They want it back. They do not like America being allies with Georgia. Nor do they like the fact that they CHOSE to break away from the Mother Country.

I keep telling you that Putin, wants the old Soviet Union back. First was Azerbaijan. A former Soviet republic that borders the Caspian Sea, and lies just north of Iran. This is where we discovered another Islamofascist terrorist attack being planned to be carried out against the U.S. Embassy in the capital, Baku.

Then we have Russia invading Georgia. And seizing control of the oil pipelines there. Then I told you that the Ukraine's governing coalition collapsed on that Tuesday in a crisis that threatens to knock the ex-Soviet country of 47 million people off its pro-Western course and back into Moscow's orbit.

Then we learned that he is going to "Run" for President again. Basically, he and the current President are simple going to switch Jobs. Dmitry Medvedev will take over as Prime Minister, and Putin will become President again. Putin To Be President of Russia, The New USSR? Now we learn THIS. MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said he wants to bring ex-Soviet states into a "Eurasian Union" in an article which outlined his first foreign policy initiative as he prepares to return to the Kremlin as the country's next president.

Putin said the new union would build on an existing Customs Union with Belarus and Kazakhstan which from next year will remove all barriers to trade, capital and labor movement between the three countries.

We know why he is doing this folks. He wants the USSR BACK! He wants the good ol' days of Mother Russia. He WANTS a new Cold War.

"We are not going to stop there and are setting an ambitious goal -- to achieve an even higher integration level in the Eurasian Union," Putin wrote in an article which will be published in Izvestia newspaper on October 4.

You want even more Proof?

Putin, who once called the collapse of the USSR in 1991 "the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century," said his new project would not resemble the Soviet Union.

"It would be naive to attempt to restore or copy something from the past. However, a stronger integration on a new political and economic basis and a new system of values is an imperative of our era," Putin wrote.

Russia's relationship with its ex-Soviet neighbors has been troubled by trade and political disputes and even armed conflicts such as the 2008 war with Georgia.

Putin said he saw the new union as a supra-national body which would coordinate "economic and currency policy" between its members. It would also be open to new members.

Putin said that the Customs Union would expand to take in Central Asian republics of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. He also made a veiled criticism of Ukraine which chose to stay outside the union citing its commitment to European integration.

Anyone can see the intent here. He can attempt to dress it up anyway he wants. Like Liberals in this country that tell you stripping away your Freedoms are for your own good. ETC. When you KNOW the Person, you understand their actions. He is on his way. Is anyone watching. Is anyone paying attention? We live in a Dangerous World. And it is getting more and more Dangerous by the Minute.

Putin To Be President of Russia, The New USSR?

The return to the New USSR is almost complete.

It truly is sad, when little old me, an everyday kind of guy, with a Blog, know more about World Affairs than the President of the United States, and his Advisers. It makes the World a FAR scarier place than ever.

I have been talking about Russia for years. I have told you that Putin was not going anywhere. He has been in charge the whole time. He has been working on returning all the Lands lost and working on creating a NEW USSR.Back in January and February of 2008, I was talking to you about Putin wants to start a NEW Cold War with us. MOSCOW (AP) -- Vladimir Putin's decision to reclaim the presidency next year sets up the possibility that he could rule Russia until 2024 and foreshadows a continuation of the strongman rule that many in the West have called a retreat from democracy.

He WANTS the old days of Mother Russia BACK.

Although Putin departed the Kremlin in 2008 due to term limits and moved about two kilometers (1.5 miles) down the road to the prime minister's office, in a sense he never left at all. He cannily used Russia's state-controlled national TV channels to remain the country's pre-eminent political figure, with appearances portraying himself as a bold adventurer in Russia's wilderness, a vigorous advocate of the country's global importance and, occasionally, as a bit of a rogue consorting with scruffy motorcyclists.

His hand-picked successor as president, Dmitry Medvedev, appeared as little more than a tame youngster in comparison - enthusing about Twitter and issuing earnest statements about the need for reforms, but achieving few tangible results.

"He didn't do anything important, and I'm pretty sure they didn't let him do anything," said Vyachelsav Mazurkov, who was spending a cool fall afternoon in a Moscow park soon after the congress of Russia's dominant political party approved Putin's candidacy. Although Medvedev had shown flashes of independence, particularly in denouncing the corruption that flourished during Putin's presidency, he was seen by many as simply a placeholder while Putin bided his time until he could legally return.

Kind of the way the rest of the World sees OUR President, the inexperienced man-boy President, Barack Obama. They do not fear him. They do not trust him to make wise decisions. Russia’s prime minister Vladimir Putin will return to his post as president next year after he and president Dmitry Medvedev announced they were switching jobs.

The announcement was made on Saturday at the annual conference of United Russia, the hegemonic party that controls two-thirds of Russia’s parliament. It put to rest intrigue over Mr Putin’s next move.

Now many are saying what I have told you from the beginning.

The announcement confirms the long-held impression that Mr Medvedev was only ever a place holder for Mr Putin, who was constitutionally prohibited from a third term after serving as president from 2000-2008.

Mr Putin is now likely to win two consecutive 6 year terms, giving him a total of a quarter century in power from the time he took over the Kremlin in 2000. He remains Russia’s strongest political figure despite stepping aside for four years.

Mr Putin started proceedings, telling delegates that Mr Medvedev would succeed him in heading the United Russia party’s election list in December 4 parliamentary elections. Later, he suggested Mr Medvedev’s candidacy for prime minister, which Mr Medvedev accepted.

AFP - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Saturday announced he will step aside in 2012 polls and backed Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to return to the Kremlin for a new stint that could last until 2024.

Ending months of uncertainty over which of the men would run, Putin swiftly accepted Medvedev's proposal to run for president in carefully-choreographed speeches at the ruling party annual congress that dismayed liberals.

In an apparent consolation prize for the man who will go down in history as post-Soviet Russia's only one term president, Putin said Medvedev should become his prime minister in 2012 and head the party list in upcoming legislative polls.

Couple this with Little Hitler's rise in power and continued Nuclear Quest in Iran, North Korea, The rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, and lets not forget China, we have a President who's only answer to the Economy, Energy, Jobs, Housing, all our problems here at home? One answer. Raise Taxes. Continue his Liberal Agendas. Does he ever look out his window? We need someone who does. When they do, we need someone , who understands what they see.

Russia Up To Dirty Tricks Again.

I keep telling you, Putin wants the USSR back.

Since Russia, and well, ANYBODY else out there, no longer fear us, they are feeling more and more bolder. They are feeling more and more empowered. Now I've been telling you that Putin is still in charge. I keep telling you, Putin wants the USSR back.

I keep giving you examples after examples. Showing you how he is going about it. I also keep showing you how this Administration seems to be completely Ignoring it. Now we learn, that Russia is back to playing Dirty Tricks again. According to The Washington Times - Russia uses dirty tricks despite U.S. ‘reset’

In the past four years, Russia’s intelligence services have stepped up a campaign of intimidation and dirty tricks against U.S. officials and diplomats in Russia and the countries that used to form the Soviet Union.

U.S. diplomats and officials have found their homes broken into and vandalized, or altered in ways as trivial as bathroom use; faced anonymous or veiled threats; and in some cases found themselves set up in compromising photos or videos that are later leaked to the local press and presented as a sex scandal.

“The point was to show that ‘we can get to you where you sleep,’ ” one U.S. intelligence officer told The Washington Times. “It’s a psychological kind of attack.”

Despite a stated policy from President Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev of warm U.S.-Russian ties, the campaign of intelligence intimidation - or what the CIA calls “direct action” - has persisted throughout what both sides have called a “reset” in the relations.

They have become worse in just the past year, some U.S. officials said. Also, their targets are broadening to include human rights workers and nongovernmental organizations as well as embassy staff.

In the Past Year? Lets see, why the Past Year? Oh yeah, Obama. Now we have a down graded Credit Rating. We are causing massive sell offs in the Market. Continued Record High Unemployment. Record high Foreclosure rates. Over 48 percent of the people in this country are Unemployed and or, receiving food stamps. And we have a President that seems to care NOT what the rest of the World does as long as they leave him alone so he can ruin this Country for them. They no longer fear us. They KNOW Obama will do nothing.

The most brazen example of this kind of intimidation was the Sept. 22 bombing attack on the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia. A National Intelligence Council assessment sent to Congress last week confirmed that the bombing was ordered by Maj. Yevgeny Borisov of Russian military intelligence, said four U.S. officials who have read the report.

False rape charge

One example of such intimidation occurred in 2009 against a senior U.S. official in the Moscow office of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the congressionally funded nongovernmental organization that promotes democracy throughout the world. The Times has withheld the name of the official at the request of NDI.

According to a Jan. 30, 2009, cable from U.S. Ambassador John Beyrle disclosed by WikiLeaks, USAID employees received an email with a doctored photo of the NDI official reclining with an underage girl.

The email from someone purporting to be a Russian citizen accused the official of raping her 9-year-old daughter.

In the cable, Mr. Beyrle said the embassy thought the Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) was behind the smear attack, which also appeared in Russian newspapers. The FSB is the successor agency of the Soviet-era KGB.

Kathy Gest, the NDI director of public affairs, said, “The allegations recounted in the WikiLeaks memo are all false and were protested at the time. We consider the matter closed and NDI, which is legally registered in Russia, continues its programs.”

Former Sen. Christopher S. Bond, who served as the vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence between 2007 and 2010, said he had raised the issue of Russian intimidation of U.S. diplomats with the Obama administration.

“We are concerned about the acts of intimidation as well as their record on previous agreements and other activities,” Mr. Bond said. “It’s a real concern, I’ve raised it. It’s not the intelligence committee that fails to understand the problem. It’s the Obama administration.”

Yevgeny Khorishko, a spokesman for the Russian Embassy in Washington, said accusations that Russian diplomats have stepped up intimidation of U.S. officials were false.

“Those are absolutely false insinuations that are not worth any comments. Such kind of ‘information’ is disseminated by those who are not pleased with the new state of the Russian-American relations,” he said.

Recent escalations

Since 2007, according to two U.S. intelligence officials, American posts in Belarus, Russia, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan have complained about instances in which junior Foreign Service officers have come home to find jewelry rearranged, cigarette butts stubbed out on the kitchen table, defecations in the bathroom, and break-ins with nothing of value stolen.

More recently, visiting congressional staff on official delegations have complained of having their hotel rooms broken into and seeing their things rearranged, according to these officials.

David A. Merkel, who served as deputy assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs in 2008 and 2009, said he had seen an escalation in these kinds of direct actions starting in the last two years of the George W. Bush administration.

“It’s meant to limit a diplomat’s ability to meet with individuals by aggressively demonstrating that they are being watched. If you are a political officer and you are cognizant your actions are being watched, you are less willing to meet with people, even if this is a normal activity for a political officer,” said Mr. Merkel, who also served as director for European and Eurasian affairs on the National Security Council from 2005 to 2007.

Other U.S. officials said the intimidation campaign escalated even more in 2010 after the Obama administration expelled 10 Russian “deep cover” agents as part of a spy swap.

Mr. Merkel said these acts of intimidation were reported throughout what Russia calls its “near abroad,” or the independent states that used to be part of the Soviet Union.

“It’s mainly focused on people whose jobs are domestic politics and human rights reporting,” he said. “You have to appreciate how much courage it takes for a foreign national, a Russian or a Belarusian to meet with our diplomats because they know they are being watched.”

Another diplomat who was targeted for embarrassment was Kyle Hatcher, who served at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow as a political officer responsible for tracking religious freedom in Russia.

In August 2009, two Russian newspapers printed stories based on spliced video footage of Mr. Hatcher at a hotel room, claiming he was employing the services of a prostitute.

Two U.S. officials familiar with the incident, who asked not to be named, said the U.S. intelligence community saw this as the work of the FSB.

“They intercepted some phone calls he made and spliced them in a way that made them look strange. Then they took footage of him in a hotel room or something. They made it all look like they had footage of him in sex acts with prostitutes in a hotel,” one of those officials said.

Long history

Moscow’s intelligence services long have played dirty tricks on U.S. diplomats. In the “Spy vs. Spy” world of the Cold War, operations known as “honey traps” - a young, attractive woman woos a U.S. Foreign Service officer into state of semi-undress where he can be photographed and blackmailed later - were commonplace.

The KGB-trained services also on occasion would deliberately break into the hotel room or residence of visiting dignitaries. In some cases, these incidents escalated and U.S. diplomats found their pets killed.

These kinds of tactics largely quieted down after the Cold War, but a spike in such incidents at the end of the 1990s prompted the Clinton administration to form a special bilateral committee to look into them. Moscow’s representative at the time was Vladimir Putin, a former KGB officer who would later become president of the Russian Federation.

The spike in these incidents, described by one U.S. intelligence official as “discreet acts of intimidation,” has been raised discreetly by members of Congress with the Obama administration since 2009.

But the issue became public last month after The Times published a series of stories about the bombing attempt in Georgia.

After The Times published an interview with a Georgian interior ministry official laying out evidence that Mr. Borisov was behind the bombing attempt, five senators led by Republicans Jon Kyl of Arizona and Mark Kirk of Illinois asked the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to provide a briefing on the incident.

In response to that query, the Obama administration released an assessment from the National Intelligence Council, the analytic arm of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

That report, four U.S. officials said, concluded that two bombs were placed outside a parking lot that abuts the U.S. Embassy compound. One bomb exploded outside the parking lot, another unexploded bomb was tossed over the parking lot wall.

The CIA concluded that Mr. Borisov was acting on orders from Russian military intelligence headquarters, according to these officials. The State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research assessed that Mr. Borisov was acting as a rogue agent, these officials said.

Jamie Fly, executive director of the Foreign Policy Initiative who also served on the National Security Council staff in 2008 and 2009, said the incidents of intimidation of U.S. officials were evidence that the “reset” policy had failed.

“These types of Russian activities directed against U.S. officials, combined with Russian policies pursued by Moscow against U.S. allies, show the concept of a reset in relations with Russia is a joke,” Mr. Fly said.

Internal Russian politics

Mr. Obama was far more optimistic last week in an interview with Russia’s official ITAR-Tass news agency.

“Well, first of all, I think it’s important for us to look back over the last two years and see the enormous progress we’ve made. I started talking about reset when I was still a candidate for president, and immediately reached out to President Medvedev as soon as I was elected. And we have been, I think, extraordinarily successful partners in moving towards reset,” he said.

An administration official who defended Mr. Obama’s reset policy stressed that the political leadership of Russia was sincere in wanting to improve ties with the United States.

“There are most certainly some in the Russian government - nationalists, hard-liners, KGB folks, etc. - who don’t like the reset and are doing whatever they can to derail it,” this official said.

The official compared the Russia situation to domestic U.S. political divisions.

“We also have our critics/skeptics here within the U.S. government who are also still busy fighting the Cold War. And in these matters, they have good justification since certain elements of the Russian establishment are also still fighting the Cold War,” the official said.

This official pointed to Russia’s willingness to help supply U.S. troops in Afghanistan and their support for U.N. sanctions against Iran, North Korea and Libya as evidence of the reset policy’s success.

“The Kremlin seems to be a willing partner, even if maybe some in that regime don’t like this new trend and are doing what they can to derail it,” he said.

However, on Tuesday, Mr. Putin, now Russia’s prime minister and widely seen as its real leader, made some belligerent comments about the U.S., calling it a “parasite” on the world economy.

At a conference of the Nashi and Young Guard youth associations, Mr. Putin also suggested that his country would invite the Georgian breakaway province of South Ossetia into the Russian Federation, effectively annexing land taken in a war three years ago.

Just like Obama and all of HIS Czars, Putin has in place those that will help him further his agenda. We need someone in the White House that A, Loves this Country. B, WILL defend it. C. Be able to see and understand all the dangers out there, and be bold enough to put a stop to them. Plain and simple. Not a President that is doing our enemy's Job for them.

Russia is continuing it's quest to move back to USSR

Hey folks,

First day into the new year. January 1, 2009, and we see that Russia is continuing it's quest, or Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's quest that is, to bring Russia back to the good ol days of the USSR.

As I have been telling you, Russia is on the move. Putin wants to restore all the Russian Territories and will do pretty much anything to achieve it. The Georgia war was the latest move.

Now it appears to be the Ukraine. Remember back on September 17, 2008 I posted this.

The Russia / Georgia War is NOT a surprise. They want it back. They do not like America being allies with Georgia. Nor do they like the fact that they CHOSE to break away from the Mother Country.

I keep telling you that Putin, wants the old Soviet Union back. First was Azerbaijan. A former Soviet republic that borders the Caspian Sea, and lies just north of Iran. This is where we discovered another Islamofascist terrorist attack being planned to be carried out against the U.S. Embassy in the capital, Baku.

Then we have Russia invading Georgia. And seizing control of the oil pipelines there. Then I told you that the Ukraine's governing coalition collapsed on that Tuesday in a crisis that threatens to knock the ex-Soviet country of 47 million people off its pro-Western course and back into Moscow's orbit.

Now we have this from the AP - Russia's Gazprom cuts all gas to Ukraine by LYNN BERRY

MOSCOW – Russian gas monopoly Gazprom said it cut all gas supplies to Ukraine on Thursday morning after talks broke down over payments for past shipments and a price for 2009.

That's not it folks.

Gazprom spokesman Igor Volobuyev said the cuts began as planned at 10 a.m. (0700GMT and 2 a.m. EST) Thursday.

A spokesman for Ukrainian gas company Naftogaz confirmed a steady drop in supplies.

There are fears that a cutoff could lead to a repetition of a January 2006 gas crisis. Then, a similar dispute between Russia and Ukraine briefly interrupted gas shipments to many European countries. Ukraine controls the pipelines through which Russia supplies most of its customers in Europe.

While cutting gas to Ukraine, Gazprom said it also has increased the gas pumped through pipelines that mainly serve Europe, which gets about a quarter of its gas from Russia.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has warned Ukraine against diverting gas intended for other customers, saying that could have "quite serious consequences for the transit country itself" by damaging relations with Europe.

Now this addition "by damaging relations with Europe." is this Writer's, Lynn Berry, interpretation of what Putin meant. I am not sure if Mr. Berry is correct here. Putin probably was warning them of "quite serious consequences for the transit country itself" by Russia itself. It will be an excuse to have Russia take control of the country itself.

Ukraine's president and prime minister issued a statement saying they would guarantee the uninterrupted transit of natural gas through Ukrainian territory to Europe.

Natural gas is used for heating and to generate electricity, and the cutoff comes as Europe approaches the depths of winter. Naftogaz director Oleh Dubina has said that Ukraine has enough gas in reserve to last it through early April.

The deadlock over gas supplies reflects the deep political split between Moscow and Kiev.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has angered the Kremlin through his efforts to build ties to Western Europe and his support of Georgia in its August war with Russia.

THERE YOU GO! THAT is the reason. That and Putin wants the Ukraine back. The Price thing is a flimsy cover. A smoke and mirrors thing. Not to meant that the Ukraine was set to deny the Russian Navy from using their Ports during the Georgia conflict.

Remember on September 22, 2008, I posted this.

A Russian navy squadron set off for Venezuela Monday, an official said, in a deployment of Russian military power to the Western Hemisphere unprecedented since the Cold War.

The Kremlin recently has moved to intensify contacts with Venezuela, Cuba and other Latin American nations amid increasingly strained relations with Washington after last month's war between Russia and Georgia. During the Cold War, Latin America became an ideological battleground between the Soviet Union and the United States.

Folks, I keep warning you that there is a new Cold War Brewing. The Putin is still very much in charge of Russia and he WANTS the USSR back. He WANTS the Cold War Back.

Since January 20, 2008 I have been warning you about the new Cold War. I have been pleading with you to make the right choice for the Next President of the United States. I said this back then.

WE need a person in the White House that sees this as a very REAL threat and someone that is not afraid to make the tough decisions when needed. Someone who could not care less about polls, and popular opinion and just do their job. Keep America safe. Think about it.

You, the majority of the American People, seem to think that Obama is the guy. OK. Fine. I HOPE Obama is paying attention.
