BREAKING NEWS

Obama and McCain Win VT

Hey folks,

Yup, I'm right here with the latest update on Elections 08. Looks like according to the AP, Obama and McCain can claim VT wins. According to the AP - Obama, McCain win Vermont primaries

Barack Obama defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Vermont primary Tuesday night, and the two Democratic rivals dueled in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island in their riveting race for the party's presidential nomination. John McCain reached out for the Republican delegates needed to secure his triumph after a decade's struggle.

The Vermont victory was Obama's 12th straight over the former first lady, desperate to rebound later in the night in the other three states holding elections.

McCain added Vermont to his column in the Republican race, and pocketed all 17 delegates at stake. That put the magic number — 1,191 — within his reach.

The Associated Press made its calls based on surveys of voters as they left the polls.

Check out some of these exit polls folks. According to the AP - Early exit poll results

VERMONT IS OBAMA COUNTRY

Sen. Barack Obama's strong showing in Vermont cut across numerous groups that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton usually wins, including whites, older people and women. Obama won the votes of 6 in 10 women, nearly two-thirds of whites, and 6 in 10 of those over 60 years old. He won the votes of two-thirds of men.

6 in 10 Women, and two thirds of Whites? Two thirds of Men? Hillary has most definitely got an up hill battle in Texas and Ohio. We'll have to see if enough people took Rush Limbaugh's advice and voted for her. It will take a lot of Republicans to help her, or, if this is any indication, she is NOT going to have a good night. I'll be right here to up date.
