I know if I had a heart attack, or was involved in an accident, and someone came to my aid, I would be thanking them.

Yeah, a broke rib hurts. But at least I would be around to feel it. My family would still have me.

So I do not understand all the stupidity of these lawsuits, or why they would even be allowed. But they are. Not only is this idiocy allowed to take place, they actually WIN.

Would I take the chance to save someone's life? {Sigh} Truthfully? I do not know. Every part of me would say "Yes, of course I would. Done be stupid." But the truth is? I really do not know. Not because I do not care. Not because I would not WANT to save someone. But I would not want to put my FAMILY'S well being on the line.

People rescue animals all the time. Sometimes, the animals turn around and bite them after. I thought we were better than the animals, but the truth is, there are a lot of snakes out there that walk on two feet.
PeterPeterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10686486138001196847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26522515.post-40418140527102898392009-03-01T10:12:00.000-05:002009-03-01T10:12:00.000-05:00I too was certified for CPR for 16 years and taugh...I too was certified for CPR for 16 years and taught how to use a defibrillator for a couple of years but I would have to think hard about saving someone today using this since I see cases of people being sued for saving a life.

I am no longer certified and I ask myself the same question "will I take the chance to save someone or risk being sued?"samspadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08500699420889873595noreply@blogger.com
